The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(5 hours after the Big Battle, back from the Technolab) The window slowely opened, and Hairpin floated into the empty room. She lay on the bed sleepily. She knew she should tell someone she was back, but she knew there would be alot of questions, and right now, she was very tired. The little girl fell asleep soon, and the small robot also flew into the window. Elvis slowely walked underneath the bed, and awaited the girl's next order.

After putting Sarah to sleep in a new room that would soon hold Hairpin as well, Mike and Daria continued to worry over where their new ward had been taken. Hours passed and finally Mike sensed a change of emotions in the building and proclaimed that Hairpin had returned. Elated beyond any verbal expression Daria grabbed Mike's hands and tleported to his room to find Hairpin sleeping peacefully on the bed.
Daria runshed over to the girl with cat like silence and sat lightly on the edge of the bedd looking down happily at her.
Hairpin's eyes flutter open sleepily. "Mo... Daria!" she exclaimed. Leaning over in the bed, Hairpin hugged the cat lady tightly. "I missed you!" Her hair shot over to Mike and two blue kevlar pigtail arms hugged Mike as well.
Hairpin looked up at Daria with a look of surprise on her face. "Hurt me? Elvis? No he showed me the Technolab. It's this big place in..." Hairpin stops, remembering what Elvis said about keeping it secret. "I't's a cool place with lots of big machines. Oh, and there's over a million Technobots!" the girl said smiling.

Daria cocked an eyebrow. She wanted to press the girl for answers, she was already extremely suspicious of the robots because of all the Whitmore business and not to find out that the robot who flew of with her was her...or thought he was her..
"What about the robot who took you? The big one? What did he tell you?"
"Big one?" Hairpin asked. "I didn't see a big one. I remember the big clay man, then I woke up in a room and Elvis was there." Hairpin said scratching her head.

Daria laughed. "I'm just worried is all. I mean he could've taken you anywhere and done horrible things to you. A complete stranger-" she stopped "I sound like a mother!" she pulled a lollipop from her pocket and handed it to Hairpin then eyed the robot emerging.
She still didn't trust it, it had nothing to do with her instincts-the robot had no smell, gave off no pheramons and definitly had no vibes. She just didn't trust and, especially since it had ties with the freak that took hairpin.
