The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*tricity came into the living room after having an art class and collapsed on the couch. she turned on the television and started to watch the news like she normally did to see what was going on in the world. as usual, there was a debate on whether mutants were dangerous or not. she mentally turned the station and began to watch an action movie, hoping it would take her mind off the current events.*
*tricity woke an hour later to the loud clammering of children running around and shouting. a couple even jumped on the couch while she was trying to sleep.* HEY HEY HEY!! GUYS, COME ON!! *they scampered off before she could grab a hold of them. tricity sat up and stretched, yawning loudly. she stood up and began to walk the hallways.*
*tricity walked down the empty halls, opening the closed doors to make sure everything was okay. she turned into the living room and nearly had a heart attack as shebumped into someone.* AH! damn johnathon!! johnathon: "soooooorry! goodness, just wanted to watch some tv! what's wrong? is everything ok?" i dont know...i have a bad feeling. johnathon: "oh...well nothing's been up since i was down here and that was about an hour ago." oh alright....GO TO BED! you have class in the morning! johnathon: "yea yea...i will." *tricity headed to the garage.*
*as tricity got up from the couch and walked out of the room, just took her cell phone out and called orion. she took a sip of her coffee as he picked up. he told her he was in the cave and tricity said she would be there soon. after cleaning up the couch, she left to head over there.*
*tricity, orion, and jordan came into the living room after letting the children out of the danger room and the cave. they sat on the couch as the students were making their way to bed.* so, do you plan on taking classes? *she asked jordan.*
Pacing the room and looking out the windows Orion couldnt bring himself to calm down that quickly. "Too easy." he muttered. "Too easy, he didnt really want the stone."
"If we had the stone and he got it it would only be a bonus. Thats not what he was really after." Orion said still pacing. He wasnt paying attention to the blade in his hand, nor the gouge in his arm. The shirt bandage was soaked and began to drip slowly.
"So what is so special about this stone?" Jordan asks removing his sunglasses and putting them in his pocket, revealing his solid blue irises, with out pupils.
*tricity stood up and walked in front of orion, causing him to cease pacing.* let me look... *she said, taking the bandage off.* geez ri... *tricity looked over at jordan on the couch.* jordan can you hand me some gauze in that drawer at the desk behind you? *she looked over at jordan.* oh! oh...i'm sorry, i didnt mean to...well, i didnt know you were blind. wait...how could you have seen the security...does it have to do with your mutation?
"Yes," Jordan says, as the drawer slides open and the gauze flys to tricity's hand. "I can see using my telekenesis, but I cant see color or very far."
"Im guessing your used to being telepathic." Orion guessed as he spun the blade in his hand around and slipped it into its sheath in one smooth move. "You seem to have adapted to it well and have good control of it as well."
that's amazing! *tricity said, wrapping orion's arm. she walked back over to where jordan was sitting on the couch.* i dont want this to sound rude or anything, but...do you need any special requirements to make getting around easier?
"No, I'll be fine," Says Jordan, "It took a few years or practice before i could see anything more than large objects, like walls. But now i could read the date off of the penny that is underneth this couch."
