The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kaz conceded the point with a tilt of his head. Secret wars were fought on a regular basis with most people being completely ignorant of them, himself included. Most seemed not to care about anything that did not affect their daily lives. Other were too distracted by their lives and the things around them, on the small scale or in a limited area, to notice the rest of the world. Others focus on what the media, and their governments, push on them to focus on, things that my not, and in Kaz's view, did not, mean much or carry a lot of importance.
Words were one thing, and they could say quite a bit, but so could the tone and inflections in someone's voice. Alex's hald no room for debate how she felt, it was quite apparent. This is the second one he had seen and would be going through. His mouth opened slightly then shut again, unsure if he wanted to ask, or know, to drudge up old, and quite possibly, painful memories for her. He made his decision when he began to form words, "I don't want to open old wounds, but third?" There were few differences in how the Registrations were done between America and Romania, so Kaz assumed any that happened would be similarly done. If Alex had gone through two already, she had more experience than anyone else, most likely. That could be why and how she found out about the 'safe house'.
There it was, the reason he was looking for. He had been sure, well 98% sure at least, of what Alex wanted. There was no doubt now. Without saying anything he made his way over to the bar to set his glass down before he moved to the far wall. Normally people sleep in the bedroom and keep their things there as well. Kaz did not. Would you expect someone to sleep in the darkest corner of the room with the best view of the surroundings? Generally not. Neither would you expect a chest to be locked as intricately as his was, nor made out of the material it was. Very durable, very strong, yet still 'fairly light', light being a few hundred pounds.
With speed and precision, Kaz went about undoing the locks. The first thing Kaz pulled on was the harness. Onto his back he slipped six swords: two rapier, two scimitar, and two longswords. In the front he placed a multitude of throwing knives into their respective slots, as well as both of his modified Desert Eagles into their holsters, along with four extra extended clips. Next he strapped on the wide belt that Kaz held a lot of random objects in, from sand and dust, to tape, from oils and other liquids, to wire and string. Inter spaced between the pouches were at least two small containers held in their own sheaths. He put his two katanas in their sheaths at his waist. The last items Kaz pulled out was a modified version of a rebreather/filter that would cover his mouth and nose completely; a wide wrap-around pair of goggles that would not limit his vision; and a hood that matched not only the color of his armor, but it's function, the hood weighed at least five pounds by itself.
He didn't shut the chest as he stood and turned to Alex. "I take it you know where it is already." He said as he stepped away from the chest a few feet. "Help yourself."
Old wounds. At these words she smiled. Alexandra took another sip of the drink, the taste now starting to get better. Her nose didn’t wrinkle; she didn’t make a face when she gulped down the liquid. “Old wounds had already been opened.” The molecule manipulator admitted this with a sigh as blue eyes followed Kaz’s movements. An eyebrow arched at the chest Kaz was unlocking but she remained silent for a few more moments. When she did spoke, Alexandra also moved away from her spot by the window. “And yes, third. Why do you think I would have left Romania in the first place?”
Alexandra stopped by the bar, placing the glass on top of it. Her fingers were unclasped from the recipient, hand moved away from it but stopped at the edge resting there. Blue eyes were still locked on Kaz. “I was… uhmm, hunted like an animal here so… me and my friends decided to leave the country. Go to US, where no one would know us. Start over. But I was the only one who made it…” Hand fell to her side as she moved again, walking toward Kaz. She stopped at his side, eyeing the contents of the chest then the weaponry Kaz had already picked for himself. “I landed in the middle of yet another Registration Act and contrary to my beliefs, I couldn’t start over.” She laughed slightly, a fake laugh that is, as her eyes stopped on Kaz’s. “Got chased by Stalkers from the first day. If you happened to watch TV at that time you might have seen my face on it. I was unarmed but dangerous.” Another laugh left her lips, as fake as the previous. “That was the second. And this is the third. I think I’ve had enough Registration Acts for my age.”
The molecule manipulator eyed the contents of the chest once again, lips pursed together as she did it. “And I don’t think I’m gonna need these. I’m planning on pretend that I’m a mutant in need of the safe house. That way I can take care of those inside while you’re taking care of those outside before they could call back ups.” Alexandra folded her arms in front of her as she winked at Kaz. “Besides, I can always make a weapon if I am to need any.”

At first Kaz thought she was being sarcastic. He hadn't know she was from Romania until just recently. He didn't know when she might have come to the US. Now that she said something about it, he was curious. From her footsteps and her voice, he could tell she had moved from the window. Kaz kept quiet as he put his gear together while listening to her story.
He turned his head and looked up at her as she stood next to him. Kaz couldn't tell if what emotions she was feeling, if any, about the loss of her friends. He was conflicted, on one hand he felt like he should say something, wanted to, but on the other, he didn't know if that would be rude or dishonor them, or make things worse or uncomfortable. In the end he end he choose not to say anything. Obviously it wasn't an easy thing to deal with, even for someone like himself who didn't have many. He could count Abyss as definitely being a friend, perhaps the twins? Isabel, possibly not after how he left the Order, and recruited Nox to the Kabal. Yeah, she hadn't been happy. Other than those four...he couldn't think of anyone who came close to holding the title of friend. No, that wasn't entirely true. Katrina. Though to him, she was more like a little sister.
Were siblings suppose to have a friendship? He didn't know. Judy was an only child like himself, though she had always been relatively popular and have a quite a few friends. Nicki had a brother, though they didn't get along well, same with her and her father. Amp and Vibe, were twins, identical twins. Kaz couldn't help but let a tiny smile slip onto his face. He missed them. Just thinking of the girls warmed his heart a bit. Even so, he didn't know if they were the way they were with each other because they were siblings, or friends, or both. He also wasn't sure if he could base anything off of them, they were unique in their own way.
Before his mind could go any further along that train of thought, she said one thing that slapped him back to full attention, even though he had continued to put his gear together and listen without realizing it. His mind fast forwarded everything that had been said until it caught up with what she was saying currently. Kaz's voice dripped venom, "Stalkers." His eye twitched for a few moments before he gained control of it. "No, we were too busy trying to get things together to stop the camps, take down the stalkers, and have the law reversed. I didn't have much time to watch the television then. But I can image one would be enough for anyone, let alone two or three."
Kaz raised an eyebrow as Alex spoke. He wasn't exactly keen on the idea of using her as, basically bait. But, she knew more about this place than he did, he was going to trust her judgment and her intel. Beyond that, it seemed like a fairly decent plan. Shrugging Kaz knelt down to shut he chest. "Okay, suit yourself." Just before the first lock engaged, Kaz opened the chest up and began to move a few things around. He held three small objects in his hand as he closed and locked the chest up. "If you won't be taking a weapon, then you're taking these. This one," He held up a very small round object. "Is a prototype sub-vocalization microphone and receiver. It's not very powerful right now, so it's range is limited, but it's better than nothing." Kaz held the pair close to one another and synced them before he put into his ear, making sure Alex could see how and where to put the other in her ear. "And this one, you can hold under your tongue, in your cheek, between your toes, just about anywhere. Throw it against a solid surface and for a brief moment it'll create a very bright flash." He took her hand and put both items in the palm of her hand. "When you get that in we can head out and I'll show you how to use the S-MaR."
Alexandra gazed for a few moments at the two small objects in her hand. She was far from being a gadget person but apparently she needed to hang around Kaz more often. That flash thingy seemed interesting. Tilting her head she placed the microphone/receiver thing in her ear, repeating the motions Kaz had made earlier. Closing her palm over the other device, she looked at Kaz, giving him a small nod. “Let me go get something from my room and I’m ready to go.” she said, and, as soon as the words were out of her mouth, she was already moving toward the door.
The backpack was waiting patiently next to the bed. Alexandra smiled as she picked it up. Of course, she had made all preparations before she could go and ask Kaz for help. She was planning on going, no matter what Kaz’s answer was. After glancing around the room for one more time, Alexandra turned off the lights and closed the door behind her. Returning to Kaz, she gave him a small nod and with a serious look on her face, she finally spoke. “I’m ready.”

Kaz watched and made sure Alex put the SMaR into place and pocket the small small cylinder. He nodded to Alex and made his way to the door with her in the lead. Before he stepped through the doorway, "I'll be one sec." He said as he turned on his heels and made his way to his wardrobe. With a flourish, Kaz donned a large gray and white cloak with a large hood. With it clasped in front of him, it hid most of his gear.
Kaz waited outside Alex's room patiently, but being cautious and attentive. When he heard movement around them, he reflexively began to track it until he was sure it wasn't an issue. When Alex came out of the room with a bag in tow, he gave her a curious look. He nodded in response to her statement. "I see that. You were going to go alone weren't you." It wasn't a question, and after saying it, it was obvious there was no reason to state the obvious. Kaz felt a bit slow at that moment, but decided to cover it up by donning the mask, goggles and hood and clasping them all down.
Kaz looked down the large hallway and saw a few windows, and after asking Alex which direction he moved to the nearest window to that point and opened it all the way. The window was recessed with a small ledge outside. It would be enough to hold himself and Alex, if they were close. Before he turned to her, he stuck his torso out the window a bit and checked the area. As luck would have it, either the rooms were empty, the shades shut, or lights off. He climbed out onto the ledge before holding his hand out for Alex to take, "Do you trust me?" A scene from a children's movie popped into Kaz's head as he said the words. He repressed the laughter the bubbled within him, but the smile on his hidden face was echoed in his eyes. He was curious if Alex would get it as well.
Once they were both on the small ledge, "Hold on tight." He said as he lifted her into his arms and leaped from the window's ledge. A landing from five stories up would not be good, even for him, especially not with someone in his arms. Alone he could probably take it, especially if he rolled to absorb the impact, that was not a possibility at the moment. Luckily Kaz didn't have to worry about that. The top of a pole, roughly a foot in diameter, stood in the path about two, two and a half, stories below. It wasn't any challenge for Kaz to land on it perfectly then leap off again. Three stories, easily do able. Though unnecessary it seemed, as a large moving truck passed under Kaz and Alex on their way down.
The landing was a bit odd since the truck was moving in a different direction than they were going, but Kaz was able to correct their balance. He pushed off the truck and in two steps they were 'soaring' through the air again, at least until gravity finally pulled them to the ground. Kaz wasted no time cutting through traffic or blowing past people on the streets. He hopped a few buildings here and there just to make sure they weren't being followed, while sticking as close to the directions Alex gave him as possible.
Kaz began to mouth words subtly without making an audible sound, well, audible for others that is. "As I said, they're prototypes, so they're going to pick up everything you say, whether you say it to yourself or out loud. If after you get in there and you need me just say Sarrus clearly." He would keep quiet unless Alex had something to say.
"I see that. You were going to go alone weren't you."
A sheepish smile was her answer. Alexandra tilted her head to the side as Kaz asked for the direction of their target. Glancing around for a moment for orientation, she finally decided on which was the right direction and pointed it out to Kaz. Slightly confused she followed Kaz toward the window and watched him with interest as he looked outside. Was he-
"Do you trust me?"
A hand was extended toward her. Alexandra blinked a few times before giving an answer. She smirked slightly at Kaz before placing her hand in his. “I’ve came to you Kaz. I guess I do trust you.” She replied as she stepped on the window ledge. She glanced down, gulping slightly. Yeah, she trusted him, that didn’t mean she was supposed to forget the fact that they were five stories away from the ground.
”Hold on tight.”
And he lifted her in his arms. “No kidding.” Alexandra said as her hands tightened their grasp on Kaz. Blue eyes closed as Kaz leaped from the window’s ledge. She felt a stop, then another leap, then a stop again. On a truck! Eyes opened, quickly glancing up. That was high. Adrenaline was being pumped trough her system, heart was beating at a fast rate but Alexandra laughed. “Awesome!” she called as soon as they landed on solid ground. She kept her eyes on the truck they landed on until it wasn’t visible anymore. Still smiling, the molecule manipulator turned her head to look at Kaz.
"As I said, they're prototypes, so they're going to pick up everything you say, whether you say it to yourself or out loud. If after you get in there and you need me just say Sarrus clearly."
Sarrus? Alexandra glanced curiously at Kaz but asked nothing. “Roger that.” she replied while her body started to relax a bit more now that they weren’t staying five stories above the ground anymore. Head turned, looking at the streets and buildings they were passing while occasionally giving Kaz directions. Lights started to became rare as they entered the industrial area where the fake safe house was situated. Lights were dimmer here, people were no where to be seen. “Kaz, next street to the left and stop after 50 ft.” She announced as the area became familiar with each step they (well, actually Kaz) made.

It hadn't taken them long to reach their destination, 10 maybe 15minutes at the most. He had slowed down quite a bit as they neared the area Alex had pointed out, in an attempt to be more subtle about their approach. Kaz wasn't going to stop where anyone could see them, he found a small spot, away from the wandering eyes of anyone who might be around, to stop and let Alex stand on her own legs. He kept an arm lightly around her waist for a few moments, just in case he legs went a bit weak on her. Kaz had never been carried like she had been, add in the length of time and speed, he wasn't sure what to expect to happen.
Kaz set about listening and looking for signs of people near. He saw a few cars, nothing out of the ordinary for the type of area they were in, which seemed to be some sort of warehouse or industrial zone. As he listened closer, he could hear various sounds coming from the area, though he couldn't quite pinpoint their sources. Without knowing where they were the target was, or what to look for, it would be difficult to pick out anything out of the ordinary.
Looking back to Alex as he put on his goggles and hood from their place at his waist. "Standing here, just the two of us, brings up thoughts of super-heroes and their partners, not to mention silly scene where one calls the other boss." Kaz pulled off his cloak, exposing his gear for the world to see, and held it out towards Alex. "Yeah, that was lame what I said. To make up for it, throw this on. Not only is it fairly warm, it'll stop small handguns and small blades, not many of each though. Quick fix, nothing more."
He turned to look at the roof of the nearest building, "Let me get up top and get a good look around for a few minutes before you head in, ya?" Kaz began to space out as a thought hit him. "With this being a fake safe house, there's bound to be a few of us in there. Just a guess, but, if it were me, I'd leave the entrance area a fairly friendly place and hold people for transport in the back. I don't think it'd be safe just to release'em and let them fend for themselves. So if there are people in chains, how are we gettin them out of here and where would we take'em?"
The Kaz-Taxi stopped in a spot hidden to the sight of anyone that might have been near. Blinking slightly, Alexandra hopped down and stretched slightly. She laughed slightly at Kaz’s comment about superheroes, and, arching an eyebrow at him, she spoke. “Pft. If you were a superhero then where is your spandex uniform? You can’t be a superhero without the spandex uniform, you know that.” Placing a hand on her hip, she grinned. “And you’d be the sidekick, of course.”
The molecule manipulator laughed briefly as she eyed the cloak that was being offered to her and reluctantly took it. The cloak certainly sounded good but it was huge. Quietly, she slipped it on, trying not to get herself lost in it. Heh. She’d have to handle it.
“That sounds good. While you’re checking out the surroundings I can get myself ready.” She smiled slightly. “Security doesn’t really change around there. As far as I’ve noticed, there must be up to ten people on the roof, two at the front entrance and about four or five in the back. I don’t know how many are inside but I suspect a number close to ten as well. And yes, you are right, there are people in there, they always deliver the mutants captured during two days at about 1 AM.” Alexandra glanced at her watch. “Today should be delivery day but we have plenty of time before the van comes to pick them up.” Stretching again, Alexandra took a deep breath. “And I’ll take care of what happens next to them. Let’s just get them out.”

Kaz's expression was somewhat shocked. "Spandex huh....You'd have to wair one too ya know. Only fair." He winked at her, "I was thinking more Batman/Superman," Nearly adding, 'Minus the spandex,' before catching himself, "type deal. Sidekicks are just fodder." That would have been interesting to explain.
The cloak seemed three size bigger on Alex than Kaz. He didn't quite understand why. Besides their height difference, they had similar body types. Then it clicked in his head as she secured it. It was made to cover his gear and the body armor he wore. For a moment he imagined Alex wearing the same type of armor and carrying his gear, it caused him to chuckle a bit.
Kaz nodded as he listened to Alex explain what she knew. "Just how long have you known about and been watching this place?" He didn't wait for her answer on the ground. If she answered he'd be able to hear her through the S-MaR. In one 'hop' he was on the roof of the building next to them. The colors and design of his suit and hood would break up his image from a distance, making it harder to mark him until he closed the distance, at which point, it'd be too late for them.
He moved behind some sort of vent on the roof. The shadows cast on him would help conceal him, while his eyes would make the most of the light from behind him as he searched the rooftops. It occurred to Kaz that Alex seemed to know a while bunch about this place and it's workings, maybe too much. If she wanted to, she could easily send him into a trap. It didn't make much sense to him why she would do it, but people weren't logical, they don't have to make sense. They'll do things just because they feel like it at times. 'Though, I did piss her off when we first met. That could be all it would take.' He smirked as he thought back on that day.
'Whatever.' He thought to himself and shrugged. He was already here, he had already decided to trust her, and she didn't seem like that type of person. Kaz was just being paranoid, and stalling. He picked out four on the roof so far. They didn't seem to be concentrated only on the safe house's roof, but spread out to cover the wide area of approach. He could clearly see the ones at the entrance. All were armed, though he couldn't quite make out with what, and had no idea what type of ammo they were using. Speaking softly, "I've got four on the rooftops covering the angels of approach to the entrance. You're right, there are two there, packing heat." He moved swiftly to a new spot, lining himself up with the closest guard. "On your Mark." Kaz sighed as it sunk in, he was the sidekick.
"Just how long have you known about and been watching this place?"
And, Kaz was gone.
Shrugging, Alexandra let her back pack slid from her shoulders. “Known and watched it for about a week. This thing is posted on the Internet.” Alexandra replied knowing that Kaz would hear her trough the device he’d handed her earlier. She pulled out of her back pack the blonde wig she had used when she’d come in Romania in May to settle her scores with her parents. She sighed, it brought back memories she didn’t want to remember now. She pushed them away, after all, she was here to set things right… right?
With the wig on, Alexandra took out a pair of sunglasses. She didn’t want to take any chances. After all, she doubted that she would kill any of the guards while Kaz was with her and the last thing she wanted was her face on the news. Her vision became darker, it was harder to see, but at least no one would recognize her afterward.
The last things she pulled out were a couple of blades, which she secured at her back. While aware of the outsides of the fake safe house, the molecule manipulator was rather worried about the amount of the matter that could be manipulated inside.
"I've got four on the rooftops covering the angels of approach to the entrance. You're right, there are two there, packing heat. On your Mark."
Alexandra started to move toward the entrance, for now still being covered by shadows. “Wait for me to get in. Take care of those on the roof first and make sure the ones guarding the entrance don’t hear a thing. Then take out the ones on the ground. I’ll deal with those inside and release the prisoners.” With these last instructions given to Kaz, Alexandra moved out from the shadows and into the visual areas of the guards at the front entrance. Almost immediately the two men tensed up, hands traveling at their belts, and keeping their eyes on the oncoming silhouette. It wasn’t hard to see what Kaz had noticed earlier
Seconds later, Alexandra was slowing down to a stop. A hand rested on her hip as she looked from one man to the other. “Hi.” She greeted. The two just nodded in response. “This is the safe house, right?” Alexandra asked, tilting her head to the side slightly.
“It is. You a mutant?” The molecule manipulator turned to the one who spoke. If sunglasses weren’t covering her eyes, he would have seen her ‘d’uh!’ look on her face. No, seriously, people were coming here because it was a free entrance circus. “Yeah, I am.” She replied in a dull tone. “Go inside. You’ll be told what to do in there.” Again, Alexandra turned toward the other, blue eyes briefly glancing at the gun secured to the man’s belt as he opened the door for her. With a small nod, Alexandra went past the two, entering a rather narrow and grim looking corridor. “I’m in. Go.” She whispered. At the end of the corridor, a door opened, the silhouettes of another two guards becoming visible against the light. Play time.
