The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tulelo was looking around the subway, thinking about what it was like when he was a boy and the circus' train was moving under his feet. This subway made him feel like a little boy again. There was a noise from the speaker and Twyla spoke while Tulelo listened carefully. He could not hear her very well over the noise.
"Whoat do we do when we get off?"
Tulelo watched as Twyla grabbed the bar above her head and he did the same. He knew what was coming. They were going to come to a sharp halt that he would not be ready for.

“We’re going to stop soon. Just follow me.” She smiled brightly as she replied. “Soon we’re going to have to make a transfer and then we’ll be at the museum.” Twyla fidgeted as she waited for the inevitable jerk and opening of the door that would signal that they could rush to their transfer.
Both mutants were prepared when the train did make it’s jerky stop and neither Twyla or Tulelo fell over in front of the crowd. Making sure the boy was following her, Twyla was washed out the doors by the flood of people disembarking. The made it to their next car just as the doors were opening. This one was decidedly less filled up and Twyla took a seat, her feet happy to be given a chance to rest. A few passengers looked at the two of them strangely, but no one said anything to either of them. Twyla tried to keep a neutral smile on her face as she caught a bit of the whispered conversation going on around them. She could make a scene, but her anger stayed controlled and she decided to just let it go. People would say what they wanted and she couldn’t control that.

Tulelo followed close behind Twyla. He was beginning feel a little uncomfortable around so many people. His excitement was set aside as he looked around swiftly as people were saying things about them.
"Coan youu moake both of uus camouflage?" he wispered in her ear.
He really hoped she could. He was beginning to worry that they may have a problem.

Twyla could tel that Tulelo was getting nervous for some reason. It became obvious when he leaned down to whisper in her ear:"Coan youu moake both of uus camouflage?"
The answer to that was: “Yeah, but I won’t have to. It’d be best if we just acted natural, we have as much of a right to use the subway as they do.” Twyla smiled at the boy and then at the rest of the car. She didn’t think that there would be any trouble with the small crowd. Besides, they were almost at their destination.

(OOC: I'm sorry that it is taking me so long to post. I have become very busy. I am trying to post when I can.)
Tulelo was beginning to come down from his adventure-high. He was starting to get a little afraid. Some of the people were staring at them more intensely. He pulled his hood forward a little more.
"Ee truust youu, Twyla, but Ee oam oa leettle worried."
He moved closer to Twyla and looked around the car.

Hopefully the boy’s worries were calmed when the train began it’s jerky slow-down. “No worries, buddy. We’re almost off.” A mega-watt smile to put some umph behind her words and Twyla was comfortable. When the train finally did stop, she led her companion out of the terminal and up onto the street. Directly across the street from where they were stood their final destination.
The Museum of Natural History was one of Twyla’s favorite NYC attractions. History was like learning about a story and Twyla loved to read so they got along really well. “Well, here we are...or almost are.” Twyla laughed and made her way towards the nearest intersection. Traffic was busy, so she didn’t dare make a mad-dash across the street like she would have if it had been less congested. And not toting around someone who wasn’t used to the real world traffic laws of New York. It wouldn’t be very nice if she let Tulelo become roadkill, not nice at all.

When they stepped out of the subway car, Tulelo was relieved. He took in a deep breath and continued to follow Twyla. The streets were busy, so Tulelo followed close behind Twyla.

“Same to you, Tulelo, it’s nice not to be exploring by myself for a change.” She replied with a smile as the light change and they were swept up in the sea of people crossing the street. Somehow, Twyla managed to keep close to her companion all the way to the doors of the museum. They got a few second glances by security and the other patrons waiting in line, but they made it into the large building without any hassle. A fact that Twyla was incredibly thankful for–it would be a major bummer to have something bad happen now.
The had walked in the entrance near the more science-oriented exhibits and it took Twyla a moment to find a map. “So, I don’t think we’re going to look at the whole thing today. What floor do you want to start on, there’s lots of good stuff on all of them. I doesn’t really mater to me, I’ve gone through this place a few times.” In Twyla’s mind, this was his day, she didn’t need to make all the decisions.

Tulelo went with the flow as he followed Twyla through the throng of people. Finally, they made there way to a board that Tulelo could barely understand. He was having a ton of fun with Twyla on their little adventure.
"Wheech ees the best exheebeet?"
He looked around quickly and looked at the board and back at Twyla.
