The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The eXit door was a smaller club that catered to Mutants in a different way then Club Evolution did. Club Evo was a safe haven for meetings and a place to not worry about big brother coming down on you. eXit door welcomed you to try to knock the place down, to settle your Issues with your fellow Neosapien and more so to be the first to sight and decimate any fed that stepped foot in ther general direction. This was a rockers venue, the place couldn't help but make you want to trash something. It was Ideal for the mutants that were having a bad day and wanted to make someone elses worse. The Guys liked to come her because in spite of all that people tended to still not mess with them.
Saturn and Mercury stood in a cloud of smoke of Saturn's making, a fat Cigar hung from his lips as he lined up a shot. Mercury stood at the opposite end, making every weird face he could come up with to mess with his brothers shot.
Jupiter Not ten minutes in the building had already opened a Tab and was lining up shots, typically he might drag one or two nearby drinkers into the onslaught of liqour that was going to become his night's toast to Syn.
Venus had a very diffrent way of dealing with Stress, She currnently was being chatted up and was the holder of atleast seventyfive percent of his attention she, was the best looking in the club...for the moment. She was a bit annoying and her laugh tended to grate on his nerves, and while he might have been trying to hit on a woman in the building anyway, he was trying to find something sweet at the moment...all of them had handled the news in diffrent ways. Pluto and mars were doing so quietly Abyss was on a rampage to find out more information about exactly what was going on....dead or not she never made it to any hospital and nt one police call had been made for them to Identify a body...if they didn't call Abyss soon then he was going to go to them, they had better not been finding some sick pleasure in denying them their sisters identification.
Venus said something that he might not have to someone else and the girls good looks turned fiery. He in turn laughed in her face and swiveled on his heels right around to the bar. He swiped a darker shot from Jupiter at random. and leaned back at the bar looking up wondering why he was sabotaging himself tonight.
Misery. Plain misery. It had been a while in the infirmary as Fade recovered from her little episode at KP. It was all a giant mess and look who got the butt of it? The nearly dead girl! It had all happened so fast, but so slow. First, there was that terrible moment when she looked down and found a fist lodged in her chest and then that odd feeling when her blood started to flow a bit weird, slow, but fast. It overwhelmed her and she toppled over. When she awoke, she was in the infirmary and had to stay there for just a little bit. To tell the truth, she was not ready to go out and drink, but she felt like such shit, she gave into her temptation. With ease, she walked through the walls, completely invisible.
Of course, with most mutant bars, there was supposed to be guard that could sense when people snuck in, but with all of the riots going on, who cared? Her heart was still recovering so she tried to move slowly but she still ordered a beer, having no X on her hand, not like this place cared. Of course, it was a corona and lime, her favorite and as she took a sip of it, grinding her teeth in hidden pain, she did not want anyone to realize her heart problem.
It seemed like there were a few red men around, all looked similar but were obviously very different. Since they were so hard to miss, it seemed that Fade had chosen the site right next to the ones at the bar. After another sip, she looked over at the red men and then turned back around, rethinking her approach, she turned back to her beer and just grunted. "Thanks for the heart problems, shadowed bastard" she cheered quietly to the air.
She mumbled something that he didn’t quite catch. “hmmm?” Venus tilted his head as a vision seemed to appear out no where ordering and drinking a bear. “ You know,” he tilted his head quizzically toward the woman. “ I was just wondering why there wasn’t a quality woman in this bar, and lo and behold, she was simply invisible right her next to me. Can I buy your second?”
He smiled and swiped another of Jupiter’s shots “I am Venus, Might I have the pleasure of knowing your name?”
He left it at that, he had learned long ago that most women wanted both, a charmer and someone strait forward, yes, it was true women wanted everything. They wanted sleezy, and chivalry in the same breath, they wanted slick, they wanted charming, sweet, innocent and naughty all at once. He was aptly prepared to deliver, depending on if the pretty little red head decided she was game or not…. Had he seen her some where before…he hoped he hadn’t met her somewhere before and was blanking…no he’d remember her….there was a certain something about her. now only if he could put his finger on it… or his hands for that matter.
List of things that has never occurred before in Fade's life: being offered a drink by a giant red man with plenty of twins...check. Lazily, he head lifted to this red man. Well, it was much better to have her drinks paid for than have to search in her pockets for more money. Sometimes it was like there was a giant blackhole in her pocket and it only ate money, but regurgitated pocket lent and candy wrappers. Feeling a little more up for socializing than she originally had felt. "You know, I was wondering when they would decorate this place with more colors and here you are with..." she looked around and decided against counting "however many others there are of you," she nodded, taking a sip.
A slight joke crossed her mind, but she concluded that it was not the best idea to mention that she shaved her legs with his name... "Venus, so do you prefer being known as the planet or the goddess of fertility?" she asked. Venus was probably the only Roman goddess that she knew about primarily just because that 'I'm your Venus, I'm your fire, your desire' commercial came on all the time. Still, it made her sound pretty smart in her opinion.
"Call me Fade," she nodded, figuring he would get in since she had only just appeared out of no where and ordered a beer. "And yes, I'll have another drink, buyer's choice," she challenged. Most people would get her a martini or a cosmopolitan, but truth was, she really did not even know what those tasted like. If she had anything, it was a hard shot of vodka, maybe with a lemon.
~`“You know, I was wondering when they would decorate this place with more colors and here you are with..."
“A splash of color in good taste can’t hurt the décor. I can’t help but notice that red looks good on you as well.” Was he referring to her hair or the possibility of himself?
~~"However many others there are of you."
“There are four of us here.” He pointed across the room. “Saturn and Mercury.” He then thumbed over his shoulder at the brute next to him that looked less than cheerful and kicking back a steady stream of liquor.”Jupiter.”
~~"Venus, so do you prefer being known as the planet or the goddess of fertility?"
A chuckle from the grumpy drunk could be heard on the other side of Venus.
“While I am fond of both, I must say I relate more with the later to be perfectly honest.”
~~"Call me Fade,"
“Fade.” He let it hang there a moment as if he were merely answering her command and then added. “I like that.”
~~ "And yes, I'll have another drink, buyer's choice,"
“In general I stick with the adage of liquor before beer and you are in the clear, but if that is your first, you should be alright.” His line of sight changed over to the bartender. “Give me two blue things, with patrone if you have it.” Tequila, tequila was a party drink; blue things were simply a spin on the classic margarita. He’d take it easy on her as he wasn’t in the business of taking advantage merely taking the edge off. Patron was to help the thing have a little bit less pain with the typical tequila kick.
“So Fade, you seem familiar to me, would I know you from anywhere? Are you in advertising?”
Well, the giant red man had made a good point, they shared the color red in common. Although it seemed that the Mansion just continued getting redheads, this Venus character actually could claim that his red was very special. Instead of delving into the matter, she just nodded her head. It seemed that Jupiter thought she was funny. Jupiter, Mercury, and Saturn. My Very Earnest Mother Just Sent Us Nine Pizzas, or something like that. Just because she knew about the little memo sentence on all of the planets, it did not mean she knew where they all went. Who knew? "So you got another brother called Earth?" she asked, jumping into a joking mood. While all the other planets sounded very cool, it was weird to have one called Earth, then again, wasn't there that dumb lady on MTV called New York?
Her name sort of lingered on his tongue as he allowed the name to churn through his red brain. Did he have a red brain? Was his heart red too or was that too cliche? "Beer before liquor only works if I shotgun four and then take 7 shots of vodka," she chuckled, remembering that night. Truth be told, it was not a good thing to chuckle about, it was not that great of a memory, but from what she remembered, there were some funny things. His drink choice was much better, especially since beer caused you to go to the bathroom too periodically, which was something she was not in the mood for doing.
"Patron, nice choice," she smiled. While she lived on the streets and had to come by alcohol without money, she would steal an occassional Patron, but she never had enough money to afford it on her own. It was so smooth and not to mention it was tequila, so drinking it would ensure that there would be a party that night. She would have remembered a giant red man, or maybe she did recognize him but it would take a while for it to kick in. "Not in advertising," know anything about X-Men? May know me from there. What about the papers, I was Wanted for a long time for theft a few years back. Ring a bell? she thought, but decided not to say it, it was not exactly that great of a conversation starter. "Guess I just have one of those faces..." she said, leaving the statement open for however the general public took that. Honestly, she had never understood what that statement meant exactly...
“thanks, If I’m going to drink I try to do it right.”
~~"Not in advertising,"
“Hmmm.” He said thoughtfully, the question giving him ample reason to study her form a bit more blatantly trying to recognize her. “You could, be in advertising that is.” After a lingering appreciation of his eyes, she’d be able to tell how he meant it.
~~"Guess I just have one of those faces..."
“I am pretty sure I recognize you from somewhere.” He stated. “but I relent, how about instead, We get to know each other, so next time I don’t have to wonder why I recognize a beautiful face and don’t have more than a name to put with it.” He stopped leaning on the counter and eased on to the stool next to her. From that distance she would be able to smell his perfectly applied cologne, smell his minty fresh breath. His skin would be with in reach to make accidental brushes with his, Touch was key to familiarity.
He was most certainly a talker and he had every possible excuse to look her over more and more. The 'you look familiar' thing had been a good choice, and a little less embarassing, if truth be told. She would have blushed at the comment of how she could be into advertising, but instead she laughed. It was not a laugh because she thought she was ugly, it was a laugh because she imaged herself selling Venus razors, since his name had reminded her of the commercial. It would be pretty funny. 'Even a mutant has to shave,' it would read, not too catchy.
"Thank you, but I've never been the acting type," she nodded. There were plenty of other things that she was good at, like hiding, not broadcasting her face to the world. Amused, she leaned back in her stool and began to think. "Well, you can place this to my face other than my name: I'm quite a nasty scoundrel and if you sound the alarm, I'll be out of here before you can even say 'commercial break'. I don't like long walks on the beach, but I enjoy climbing buildings and whatever else I can climb. Favorite color is, surprisingly enough, red, and the best feeling in the world to me is when you have just made your bed with fresh sheets and you get to snuggle underneath them."
Then again, having fresh sheets used to be rare for her, so it was a lovely surprise. "And yourself?" she inquired, lifting up her drink to sip from it. If only she was 21... oh how much fun she would have. Then again, it was just as much fun with invisibility and phasing powers.
~~"Thank you, but I've never been the acting type,”
Venus looked skeptical.
~~“ I don't like long walks on the beach, but I enjoy climbing buildings and whatever else I can climb. Favorite color is, surprisingly enough, red, and the best feeling in the world to me is when you have just made your bed with fresh sheets and you get to snuggle underneath them."
“A nasty scoundrel! Should I be worried?” he said the first in a joking tone and then second in a no nonsense manner. His eyebrows then rose. “what Alarm?”
~~"And yourself?"
“hmmmmm, lets see since we are being up front with each other, I am a hopeless romantic and an absolute flirt, some might tell you to run, while you could, it might be for your best. When I see someone I like aesthetically, I can’t help but try to find my way into a conversation with them and see if their mind can match up to their looks. SO far so good by the way.” He let a smile crook the corner of his mouth. “I couldn’t agree more about the walking on beaches, if you are at the beach make a sandcastle or get In the ocean. You can walk anywhere after all; perhaps as New Yorkers we have a different take on walking? My bed at home is freshly made.” And it was too, he was a bit OCd about his bed and keeping it fresh and clean…I suppose that was a necessity when ones hobby involved messing it up. “I would be there right now, except I lacked someone to snuggle with.” A playfully pouty sigh found its way passed his lips. “as far as favorite color, I must admit that red tops my chart, though it is because it is a passionate color and not as much because my own flesh tone. I haven’t been mountain climbing or anything like that, but climbing a building sounds fun, maybe you can show me how it’s done?”
Almost as an after thought he added. “ I love to paint, it’s soothing.”
Great, he was one of those hopeless romantics. That would be been just fine, but she always had loved the sort of bad guy look. While Raph was an X-Man and he was a great and very good man, he was a cage fighter and such, so he had some side of him that was not all flowers. Then again, what the hell was she thinking? He was in a bar for goodness sake! The words that followed seemed to just place him as a horndog, which made Fade laugh. "Well, glad I caught your attention," she smiled.
As for the sheets, should could not help but imagine what it would be like if Venus were to roll over in his sleep. She would be squashed like a bug! Well, not really, I suppose she would just phase through the bed and huff and puff out of there, but still, with her heart working the way it was, it was not a good idea to be squashed. "You'd be in bed so early? Even if you had someone to cuddle with? It's too early for me to lay in bed," she shrugged, knowing what he meant, but it was always fun to toy around for a while.
The mental image of Venus climbing a building with her caused another smile to weave it's way across her face. When Fade climbed a building, she was invisible, so no one freaked out at the site, and she phased with her claws. Unless Venus wore a giant camo blanket and had those suction cups on his hands and feet, she doubted he could keep up. "Maybe we'll find a way to get you to do that." Unfortunately, Fade had never been in an art class, so she had no clue how to paint. "I've never painted before. Maybe I've tried some graffiti, but that's the closest I've ever gotten."
“ I never had a chance.” He stated meaning that she had his attention regardless.” he then mused quietly just so she could her it and as if she wasn’t supposed to. As if her were shy! mmm, you can keep it if you want it.”
~~"You'd be in bed so early? Even if you had someone to cuddle with? It's too early for me to lay in bed,"
“Anytime is a good time for bed particularly when sharing a bed, and there is cuddling to be had, though I suppose there could always be other things to do then simply lie there as well.” he raised an Eyebrow at the woman “I am afraid I’m not always a fan of subtle. I think sometimes you should cast your inhibitions to the wind in favor of honesty,” He shrugged. “But enough of my wicked tongue and its attempts at bedding you. Back to this climbing of buildings.”
~~"Maybe we'll find a way to get you to do that." "I've never painted before. Maybe I've tried some graffiti, but that's the closest I've ever gotten."
Oh, I haven’t tried Graffiti, we should climb a building and paint something for New york to see. His eyes seemed to be studying her face much as they formerly studied her body...She’d be worthy of a mural. “ Hmmmm, a can of spray paint and a paint brush are vastly different, but when you try to express yourself with either, the result is the same. So long as you aren’t merely spreading about color and actually putting some of yourself into it, then it doesn’t matter your choice of medium.
“I’m being serious you know, a night of petty crime with a charming red head sounds like too much fun to pass up.” He took a drink of his oversized blue drink.
Another laugh escaped her lips. He was even fun when she was sober, typically, she was not up for this sort of conversation, especially after she lost her dearest Raph. Still, it had been well over a year, had it been a year and a half? Had it been two years? How long would she torment herself about this? It had to end, but maybe after a few more shots, then she'd have the courage to act like it was nothing.
She did not know exactly how to respond to his bed question, so she spoke truthfully. "I can't do anything in a bed except sleep until nightfall!" she admitted. That part was certainly true, she was used to getting up whenever she felt like it, and the mornings were never a time that she jumped out of bed and said Well, I think it's time to have some fun! Chances were, if she tried anything in bed with anyone while she was still tired, she's probably just fall asleep on top of them! Now that was an interesting mental image.
A night of petty crime. Again, he had hit a spot that she was trying to heal. Although this was not a sore spot, she was still trying to get back into the X-Men, she could not go running around causing crimes, even if they were petty. It was awfully tempting, but she had never had a good life outside of the Mansion, she could not put all of that up for debate now. "Maybe it would be fun, I'm trying to shape up though, just ignore that you see the alcohol in front of me," she said, taking another sip. The Mansion was probably not for underage drinking, but that was not as bad as climbing a building and spraypainting all over the top of it. She still did not even know how she would get him up there in the first place.
Still, she had maybe just given herself away as an X-Man, and this place seemed a little unfavoring of X-Men, considering all the fights occurring around. Hopefully, that would not get her into a fight, she was not much in the mood for swinging fists tonight.
~~"I can't do anything in a bed except sleep until nightfall!"
huh. a plethora of questions wanted to surge out his mouth…he wanted to know exactly how she meant that… had she never…? What did she mean by couldn’t? wasn’t allowed, actually couldn’t? wouldn’t dare? Interesting…piquing his curiosity was probably the worst thing anyone could do to encourage him from such thoughts.
~~"Maybe it would be fun, I'm trying to shape up though, just ignore that you see the alcohol in front of me,"
Venus shrugged feeling twice shut down. Confused but interested in the lack of interest in bedroom talk and no painting lessons on the side of a building. But then again perhaps she was just a woman with her standards and as she said was trying to clean up her act. “I can Ignore your slushie, if that’s what you want. And actually I can respect that, I see where being able to walk through walls would make crime a bit too easy and inviting. But I also can’t see where a bit of paint and good art work, on top of a harmless climb would hurt anything.” When any of them climbed buildings he couldn’t help but get a king kong complex, he could even carry around the delicately beautiful heroine around. If she’d let him.
Perhaps if they simply left the bed out of the equation and settled for a New York roof top. The thought of her being a Xmen hadn’t even began to occur to Venus, truth be told he wouldn’t care in the least. His brothers might, but then after they had been chatting for awhile now they could be persuaded to look the other way.
He took another sip of his large blue margarita. Oddly the drink looked abit less comically big in his grip, merely oversized. When he set it down again his hand may or may not of brushed up against hers again.
“Ever had your fortune told?” Venus raised an eyebrow at the young woman.
After stating her beliefs about the bed before night time, she saw his face light up with curiosity and she only wondered what was going through his mind. Still, it was probably not a good thing for her to know, she could not imagine just what telepaths had to keep secret and what thoughts they had to push back so they would not get too disturbed. How would a telepath handle a relationship? Ugh, it was a good thing she could not read his mind.
When he tried to tempt her more, thoughts began racing through her head. Well, if she just got him up there and gave him the paint and told him ideas, she would not be doing it. Technically, if she were invisible, she would not even be an accomplice, she would only be - oh stop that! It was bad enough that she had snuck into the bar to drink illegally, now she did not have to come up with excuses for vandalism. "Tempting, maybe I will take you up on that," she said, leaving it open for interpretation. What was she getting into? Whatever, she just nearly died! She could relax.
When she lifted the glass to have some more, she realized she was empty and ordered another. At this rate, she would be saying yes to anything he suggested, thank you alcohol. He took some more of his drink and brushed her hand on the way up or down, she could not remember, but the simple touch from a man made her blood rush, which probably was not the best idea for now, but it felt great to know that her blood was pumping. A little red built up behind her cheeks and she attempted to swallow it down with the first sip of her new drink.
Her fortune? Turning to the red one, she placed one hand in her lap, the other was curled around her drink and she smiled out of curiosity. Great, the alcohol was sort of kicking in now, just a little bit more relaxed. "No, I don't think I have. Can you tell me my fortune?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked directly at Venus for what seemed like the first time.
“ I think I’d like that.” He wasn’t sure what exactly he was tempting her with but he knew he would be happy with what ever she was letting him get away with. Besides it couldn’t be too many things.
More than fortunately for Fade, Venus wouldn’t do anything that his partner hadn’t agreed to sober, while they were drunk, so at most unless had more to say before she finished this drink he might take her home for some cuddling, he couldn’t just leave her at the bar drunk could he.
~~"No, I don't think I have. Can you tell me my fortune?"
“Yes I can, first I’d like to read your palm to get a sense of who life has made you.” He gently took her hand off her lap pausing to enjoy the proximity and invading her personal space before he moved their hands to an appropriate level. Typically you were supposed to pick the hand that they favored, but that hand was busy with a margarita.
“This line,” he began. “ Is your Loveline we’ll come back to it, pointing out the top of the palm facing her and tracing it with his large pointer finger.”
“This one is your Head line, it tells how you think and learn, it has some curve to it which speaks of being incline to creativity, more so sense it is separate from your life line, It says you are adventurous.”
He then circled her thumb softly. “This is your life line, it speaks of your health and major changes in your life, its length is not associated with how long you will live.
“Hmmm, you have a break early on which suggests a change in life style early in your life, but the over all shape swoops around suggesting strength and enthusiasm.
“Your fate line is deep which means your are bound strongly by fate. But see how it brushes against your life line, that means that your interests have been surrendered to others but it branches off from there.
“ Now your whole hand shape is more like an oval which points to your element being water and that again says you can be creative, perceptive and sympathetic, moody, emotional and inhibited, you tend to do things quietly and intuitively.” His hands slowly massaged her one engulfed hand, and then the sam as they started on hancd supported her hand as the other softly caressed it. His finger running up the palm of her hands to her fingers and then across her long heart line. “Long and curvy suggest that you can freely express emotion and feelings, but when combined with the rest of what your hands says I have to assume that, such a privalage is earned and not taken to lightly by its owner.
“Now if you take all of that into account and what type of person your hand tells me you are I have to think you are bound by fate to do great things, but you’ll struggle against its pull to do them in your own way and accomplish those ends by your chosen means.”
He then smiled at her fondly, “ I told you honestly what I saw there. What everything I have learned to look for and found.” His crimson eyes looked up through dark lashes and he let out a small sigh. “ They are very nice, soft ,smooth, warm.”
He then gently returned her hand to her lap and took a long drink of his own blue thing. Signaling for his second .
he didn’t want to embarrass her but everything he read in her palm said she would be a warm and passionate mate.
