The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He would take that as a yes, he like her version of yes, not only yes but she started to lead the way. She phased where he simply marched it was an interesting dynamic, she left no trace that she had came near anyone and Venus knocked people out of the way, neither of them were hindered in the least. She grabbed a button up jacket, he always liked buttons due to the build p of anticipation, each on could be a promise of less clothing, where as zippers were one movement and then go.
~~"Where to?"
“ladies choice, you name anywhere in the city and that is where we will go.” If she so happened to pick a ritzy hotel it was all the better. Quiet and a bit of privacy were the two key points he hoped for. He had enough on the card that Syn had threatened to take from him to get them in anywhere bribed or honest, it was a rectangle key to the city. As they got out of the club Venus pointed to one of four motor cycles do you mind my Ducati? Or would you prefer we grabbed a cab.” He of course had a second helmet for when he picked up whoever, he managed to.
He told her that it was her choice, which was odd, she hated chosing. Now she was in charge, might as well have a bright sticker on her that said Decision Maker, and right underneath that in the fine print would be written decisions based on naughty times. It was like breaking and entering. When you are the one that breaks open the door, then you've done wrong, but if someone else breaks it open and you just enter, then you're just entering, it's not as bad.
Now it was like she had to break down the door. All she had to say was 'hotel' or 'your place' and she had made the final decision, the greater of the two 'evils'. Of course, she could always say 'home', to have him take her home. Or she could say 'my place', and judging by how this one was, he would turn right around and leave. Would he be the type to enter The Mansion? She had been taking too long to respond, so she just said "Well where do you live?" It was open enough to keep from 'breaking open that door'.
When she saw the Ducati, she nearly squealed with excitement. "Oh no, we'll take the Ducati," she said. Since Fade did not know how to drive, it was very exciting to ride on one of those, cars were getting boring to ride in. Plus, she was sure he wouldn't mind that she would have to cling on to him.
He watched her make up her mind trying to figure out, what she wanted. It was fun, she ended up settling un indecision though, which was good, it meant she hand’t drank soo much she didn’t have her head about her.
~~ "Well where do you live?"
“I have a room at the sanctuary. It’s a bit wild there on some days though,” He didn’t mention that he stayed home for the wild days. “ I’ve been talking to an agent about a time share on a loft, he offered it to me for a month, to try to reel me in, we could check it out if you like.”
~~"Oh no, we'll take the Ducati,"
“I like it.” He picked up the smaller helmet and handed it to her. He slid on the bike waiting to put his helmet on until she figured out what she wanted and where she wanted to go. The bike moved down a little accepting his weight and there was enough seat to allow her to get on and not much else.
The Sanctuary? It was for certain now, he had to be one of those 'bad guys'. While she really did not mind spending more time with this red one, The Sanctuary would not be a safe place for her to go. After all, she spent most of her time fighting those at the Sanctuary, if she were to run into anyone there that recognized her, then even her invisibility could not help her sneak out of that situation. "Uh...maybe not the Sanctuary, I'm not exactly top of the guest list," she admitted. Now he was certain to know that she was one of those 'good girls'. Why did she always like the wild side?
She put on the helmet, still thinking to herself. The first thought that was in her mind was how dorky she must look in a helmet, but she tried not to think of that since it was a nice helmet, and well, safety first or whatever that crap was. "I mean, I'm at the Mansion, I dunno if you'd wanna go there," she said, hoping that he knew what the Mansion was so that she did not have to say it outloud.
~~"Uh...maybe not the Sanctuary, I'm not exactly top of the guest list," He smirked "I mean, I'm at the Mansion, I dunno if you'd wanna go there,"
“That is where I recognize you from! You wear black & red leather with the zipper all the way down the front. I don’t mind so long as you think that it’d be ok, I mean are they going to tell you can’t bring me home? If you just need a ride home, I’m good for that too, no strings attached. Then again if you wanted to toss that uniform of yours on and we could get through some diplomatic disccusions that would be sounds good to me. ” He wouldn’t tell his brothers who when he got home, but he certainly would say where.
“but if you think that we should meet up on neutral ground, Leonard is only a call away. He’d meet us at the loft, if it meant getting paid.”
He wondered how the other x-men would feel about him and one of their members playing nice in the mansion; he certainly knew what he thought of it.
Of course, she had seen him, hadn't she? She had been through plenty of fights with the Order, but she could not remember him specifically, then it hit her. How the hell could she miss a giant red man in the first place? Wasn't he related to Syn? Or was that just Deathstar? Family issues ran deep in the mutant world. He was able to remember her uniform, even if she did turn invisible most of the time, so it was really pointless to wear her uniform if no one could see it.
"Wow, what are the odds that an X-Man and a member of the Order had danced one night as friends?" she rhetorically asked. It was like an Jew dating a Nazi... or was it? It was not that big of a deal. "So it seems like we're not welcome at either place," she huffed. Who exactly was Leonard though? And what did that have to do with changing into her uniform.
"Are you suggesting we fight?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "I mean, I don't mean to brag, but I can confuse you til you fall on your face," she smirked, imagining him falling on his face. Maybe she couldn't, but he could not get in a punch with her, he'd be quickly corrected when the assault phased through her.
~~"Wow, what are the odds that an X-Man and a member of the Order had danced one night as friends?" "So it seems like we're not welcome at either place,"
“About as likely as me seeing you alone at a bar. Hmmm alright then I will go ahead and give Leo a call and let him know I am interested in that time share on the loft.” He wasn’t sure if she was paying attention to the fact that he was renting out a loft just so they would have somewhere to hang out, that wasn’t a hotel or something like that.
~~"Are you suggesting we fight? I mean, I don't mean to brag, but I can confuse you til you fall on your face,"
“hmmm, not quite what I had in mind, physical contact wise. I was thinking more along the lines of positive diplomacy, You know I have to say I don’t know what I would do to handle you…I don’t suppose there is much handling to be done at all, if you didn’t want it. ” not interrupting his conversation he managed to text Leo what the real estate man would need to know. ‘Leo meet at 40 mercer. I want.’
He pat the seat behind him and once she was relatively settled he would take off to the epic Soho building in the middle of Manhattan.
He mentioned something about a loft and a time square? Or was it share? Hair? Not going to school really left her out of the loop in this kind of stuff. She did not know the difference between a hotel room and a motel room, she did not even know the difference between a mansion or a house...no wait, yes she did, but that was only because she lived in a Mansion. Still, she had no clue why he needed to call someone about a time square just to get a room. In order to not look stupid, she just nodded her head, acting like she knew exactly what he was talking about.
"If I didn't want you to handle me, I would just phase through it. Trust me," she smiled before climbing on the back. She wrapped her arms around him for safety, or whatever you wanted to call it.She had never really heard anyone just say I want. Still, she didn't mind.
~~"If I didn't want you to handle me, I would just phase through it. Trust me,"
“Oh, I realized that the second you leaned through my chest, and to be honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
He absolutely loved a girl with a power that made his obscene strength moot, he felt more confident that they weren’t submitting to things that they might not, he always did his best to ensure that no one would think he wouldn’t stop the second the word was uttered. But knowing that he didn’t have a choice in the matter was comforting….if they even got to that point..
Venus took of on the vehicle like a race driver, she held on tight with her arms and his tail wrapped loosely around her insuring that she would be just fine. He drove wildly but not wrecklessly. He wipped inbetween cars but didn’t risk boltingthrough red lights…truth be told, more then likely if they got in a wreck and both saw it coming the only ones to be hurt would be who ever hit them, and the motorcycle. The sport back weeved threw New York as if it didn’t know the meaning of the word traffic. If New York traffic was bad, no one told his Ducati that.
They ended up in a ritzy building that was all modern and soho, it was exquisite. His motor cycle parked in the etched off zone and he urged Fade onward with him. a short trip to an elevator and then down a hall way would take them to the expensive upper story suites. It wasn’t just a hotel room he was after but a complete apartment. He took a whiff and could smell Leonard Lanks from down the hall.
The man was the epitome of cheesy salesman. At least he started using the cologne he recommended. A couple signed papers and a card number later would have them in there own little private spotless world, they could play house.
An odd feeling accompanied the sensation of the giant red man's tail being wrapped around her. It was like her own personal security blanket, even if he was a part of the opposite team, being behind enemy lines was always pretty fun and it most certainly had it's pluses. For one, her partner would really know how to have fun, but on the other hand, she had to watch herself. Watching one's self was never fun. Fade had fun when Raph drove her around, but something about being on a Ducati felt even more fun. It was as if traffic had no significance, they just weaved in and out.
They dismounted the Ducati, such a fun ride had been cut short, and they made it to the elevator, where he took the lead. They made it to, well, whatever floor they made it to. They walked out and she followed down the hall until they ran into a salesman. Now why would a hotel have a salesman? Although she hated to admit she was highly undereducated, she just sat there and raised an eyebrow to him, taking in everything he said with a subtle nod as if she knew what he meant. Damn, she should have at least finished high school. "Hi, I'm Jenny," she said, introducing herself so it would not seem odd.
~~"Hi, I'm Jenny," yum, he liked that, Fade was nice, but Jenny was a delicious name.
“oh, sorry about that dear..”
“Jenny, Leonard.” “Leonard, Jenny”
Leonard was all to happy to shake the young woman’s hand. He was extremely happy, If he sold one house on the big run next week plus leasing this for the year that he wrote into the contract for Venus, accidentally instead of six months he would be doing great!
^^“My pleasure miss.” Leonard spoke quietly, other than the fact that he smelled like a jug of cologne. He was fairly charismatic….if you thought a greesy piece of cheese could be charasimatic.
Venus signed the last of the x’s and a black and grinned as he wrote down the info that Leo would need for all of the legitimate transactions that housing caused. He then held out his hand for the keys. Leonard handed over the Keys, and thankfully knew Venus well enough to not occupy any more of his time when he was near someone pretty and doe eyed.
^^“well you two enjoy the knew place, I have the pantry stocked, as you know everything is furnished, for now all the lines are hooked up through the building and you shouldn’t have to deal with getting bills in your name til later, you might be able to work out something through the front desk.
Venus nodded dismissing the man, as he held out an arm for Fade to look at the modern living space and the wild views of new york city.
This Leonard character sure knew how to shake a hand too hard. Just to ease up a little bit on the tension, Fade phased her hand through just slightly and brought it down to her side, rubbing it just a little bit. It was not enough to make him feel bad but it was enough to make her feel better. He smelled good, in fact, now that she had stood in front of him for a minute or two, he smelled too good. It was overwhelming, but then again, Fade was used to the smell of trash cans so who really cared?
The bills? How many bills would he get? "I'd hate for you to spend too much money on me. I mean, can I chip in at all?" It was an odd question because really she did not have a job other than being an X-Man, but she had saved up quite a bit from her past scandals. Her old employee made sure she was payed graciously. However, that was not something a known X-Man should tell a known member of the Order. Still, she took his arm and entered, glad to be away from that smell coming from Leonard, although it did linger in the doorway, quite pleasantly because it was not too much, it was just right.
~~"I'd hate for you to spend too much money on me. I mean, can I chip in at all?"
Venus pursed his lips slightly with a smile, it was sweet that she was offering to go Dutch, with him on the place, but he’d only allow it if she was planning on getting a key and staying with him at the place for a few months. And even then, it’d be a waste of the woman’s money. His smile turned to light laughter as he made up his mind.
“No, no you may not, and why would you hate me spending money on you? That my dear, is what money is for.” He placed a red index finger under her jaw, wanting to kiss her, but he had just mentioned money and spending it so he didn’t want her to feel, like that was why he was looking at her or that he had any expectations, that he did indeed have. “You Jenny are my guest. So how should we spend the night dear? There is a hot tub, a decent entertainment center, a lot of gourmet food and drinks. I am a decent cook, so unless there is something you just have to have, I can more than likely manage to cook something you’ll like.”
He looked into her eyes and let out a breathy sigh. “How long do I get to keep you hostage dear? You know, assuming you let me.” It would be hard to keep someone who could phase through walls hostage. I f he managed to keep her more than the night or for a few he wouldn’t try to hit every little fun thing the place had to offer tonight, but spread things out so that he had a few tricks up his sleeve.
He lifted up her jaw and she paused. Sure he was talking about things that did not really require or even request a kiss, but the way he looked down on her, it was tempting. Still, she held her ground, slightly laughing when he mentioned how long he could keep her hostage. Really? There was nobody that could keep her hostage now that she had developed her phasing powers even more. Now that she could fully walk through walls and even people, it was just hard to keep such a girl locked up unless she wanted to be.
A hot tub? Now that, was a thought. One side of her brain told her she didn't have a swim suit but the other side of her brain reminded her that she didn't have one. After all, she never did learn how to swim so why would she even own a swim suit. Well, there was always skinny dipping, but maybe not at the moment. She had been sobering up for quite a while and the thought crossed her mind, which of course, she took advantage of it, so she moved over to the fridge and grabbed a beer, showing her independence by doing what ever crossed her mind. She popped it open, enjoying the sound of it fizzing for just a moment before taking a sip.
After the first initial drink, she began to make her way out to the hot tub. On the journey, she made a little trail, a bit teasingly, yes, but she had been out of service for quite some time. First, she took off her shoes and kept walking before stripping off her socks, shirt and pants, leaving only her bra and panties. In the moment, she did not think about how pale her body looked, especially compared to her red hair and Venus's red...well, skin. When she made it out to the hot tub, she glanced at the buttons, realized she would look like an idiot for not knowing how to work them and moved on. Taking another sip, she slid into the warm water. It was not steaming hot because it had not been on but she did not mind, it was a hot tub never-the-less to her.
"You coming?"
((hope you don't mind that I mentioned beer in the fridge))
Venus Smiled as she deftly escaped his one finger under the chin clutches, oh it wouldn’t be that easy to steal a kiss would it, so be it. she laughed a little laugh, not committing to being kept what so ever, he liked that, Elusive and all his at once. By anyone’s standards he was the master of skipping steps, He had met her in a bar not two hours ago and he had her wanting to chip in on rent. Fantastic.
He watched as she passed by all of the exotic choice for the very basic beer he had stocked for when he anted to be in “guy” mode. Nice. But what came next was simply breathtaking; he leaned back on the counter enjoying the incredible view as she closed in on the hot tub, piece after piece hitting the carpet as it should. Up until she found a slice of modesty that he would have tossed out with the rest.
"You coming?"
“In a moment, Jen.” He nearly had to bit his tounge to keep that replay any bit of clean. But he managed it. Actions spoke louder than words.
He stuck a finger inside the nape of his shirt and ran his finger down the buttons. Each button flying off as the thread fell to his strength. He left it by the counter and proceded toward the hot tub, his shoes were kicked off and his socks pulled at, the rest of his ensemble came off until he stood by the hot tub. He adjusted the knobs a little.
“Is the water just right? Warmer? Cooler? Hot? More bubbles?” He attended the controls until she was pleased and then removed the boxers and got inside.
“ah, You seem to have forgotten a couple articles.” He closed he pinched the lace at the top of her panties and one of the straps of her bra. There were enough bubbles now that half of her would still be obscured and the rest of her if she set back. His eyes were all smoky and provocation as he made a request. “I think I’d like to see what happens when you phase and I take these away.” His lips moved down to her mouth as he sank into the water. “I would like very much to find out.”
