The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

A satisfied smile came over her man mouth, She knew she liked the woman...that was in the man's body the minute she....he....she stepped through the door. Gah, this was confusing.
~~“Tattletale.”
"Ass." was the prompt reply, they might accuse her being repetitive but when something fit like a glove you went with it, he even cheerfully acknowledged his assitude. ugh, where was her body! Tyranny wanted it back desperately.
She took his drink and she shaved his chest? The hint of a smile turned into a pain inducing grin, his cheeks were going to hurt for the rest of the day because of the woman. it was however cut incredibly short as a curse and a slap rang out into the room. It seemed like they knew each other, so she imagined that this was some thin they could settle on their own....and he was harming his own body....but still this was weird, she...he wouldn't sit Idly and watch that happen a second time. Tarin's eyes went to the phone and stared as the awkwardness of the moment grew.
Lee, in Rupert's body, simply rolled her eyes as it was drunkenly explained that you don't 'feed' a liquid. Yeah, because that had really been the big issue with it, because it really wasn't the fact that it was alcohol she had had an issue with.
It really didn't surprise Lee that grabbing the bottle of Scotch upset Rupert. What did surprise Lee was when she saw her body stumbling toward her, stumbling into the male body she found herself in. And then surprised as she felt the shirt he was wearing being pulled away from the chest. About the only reason Lee didn't slap Rupert for doing that immediately was because she was looking at herself doing it.
“You shaved me?”
Hearing the annoyance in the hiss from Rupert made a bit of a smirk come to Lee-as-Rupert's face, and he gave a slight shrug. "You're hairy, can you-"
Lee's question was cut off as she felt a hand contact her face, causing her head to snap to the side. With how quickly that slap had come, it seemed that Rupert didn't need to know about her powers in order to use them.
"Damn it, Rupert!" Lee exclaimed a moment later, turning his head back to look at her own body and hefting the bottle in his hand slightly. "Go ahead, try that again. I will break this over your head."

Rupert wasn’t hairy, damn it. He was Italian.
>> "Damn it, Rupert! Go ahead, try that again. I will break this over your head."
“Oh, will you?” She snarked, one hand flipping her hair back from her face. It kept getting in her eyes—if they wanted to talk hairy, maybe they could talk about shaving Lee. “What, are you going to put some pretty little lacerations in your own face? Bring it, Emily.”
Rupert shoved an insulting palm against his body’s chest. This didn’t feel like enough, though. The scotch bottle... it was still so far up, and so... wait, was Lee really getting ready to hit him? Rupert wobbled slowly on her feet; a crafty shifting of balance, for the spring.
Mid-waist tackle, b****: come between Rupert and her liquor, and you’re going down.

Tyranny watched things escalate into a stupid fight that would ultimately hurt themselves just as much as they hurt each other…gah, this body snatching was weird.
The female form made to tackle the male form and She went to help the other male in what would normally look like a terrible abuse of a woman. she wondered if you had to body swipe with someone of the opposite sex. They should be working on the problem instead of fighting, but a fight was good stress relief… the drunk needed to meet a lion tamer. Oh, not a man with a chair and a whip, though that would do him some good too. She wanted to introduce him to her favorite submission move. Essentially you sat on someone who was bell down to the floor you face their feet, grabber their ankles and wrenched backwards until enough pressure and pain was produced to get the other to quit struggling.
Tarin’s body darted forward with a physical purpose that he would never think to implement on his wife.
“What, are you going to put some pretty little lacerations in your own face? Bring it, Emily.”
"Well, you're the one who's actually going to be feeling it, aren't you?" Lee asked, glaring even as she heard that name coming from her own lips. That just seemed wrong, well more wrong than everything else that was going on right now.
Rupert did have a bit of a point, though; she really didn't want to have cuts on her face that would potentially scar. He had used her full name, though.
Before Lee could move the bottle, Rupert in her own body was closing the distance between them, pushing him in the chest. That was unexpected, as was how the push was slightly stronger than Lee would have expected. How did Rupert have that much energy being stuck in the apartment like this to have that much strength in her body?
Before Lee had had a chance to figure that out, there was a blow to his stomach, followed by a blow to his back, knocking the breath from his lungs. It took a couple moments after that for Lee to realize that they were on the floor, her own body on top of him. Even if Lee wasn't completely set on breaking the bottle over Rupert's head before then, this decided it. Raising his hand, he was about break said bottle, even if it meant the broken glass would hit both of them, but his hand felt surprisingly light.
Turning his head, Lee saw that during the fall, the bottle had fallen away and was currently laying on its side, draining on to the carpet. "Damn it, Rupert!" Lee exclaimed, eyes turning back to the person on top of him. But just because she didn't have the bottle any more, didn't mean anything, right? Closing the hand that had been holding the bottle of Scotch, Lee completed the swing she had been planning on making with the bottle. Hopefully it would teach Rupert a lesson, if he wasn't too drunk to learn it.

And then there was an orgy on the floor, and everyone was invited. Her body pressed against Lee’s: she had a brief moment to appreciate the way her own chest squished against his back, until Tarin’s body brought a foot fetish to the dogpile. Was Lee’s body meant to bend that way?
This thought was interrupted.
The world froze.
Sound and vision focused on one point in the room: the scotch bottle, on its side. The quiet gush gush glug of its lifeblood—her lifeblood—seeping into the carpet. The patter patter sniff of a puppy tentatively licking.
She barely even noticed the bottle being picked up: by then, the scotch—the poor, poor scotch—was already done for. So, coincidentally, was the back of her skull.

OOC- I'm taking this as my cue to enter. Hope nobody minds
Tarin was making his way down the street. He absolutely refused to think of himself in any other way. This body was a temporary situation. Temporary. He most definitely was not going to be staying. As nice as Tarin was sure this body was (he hadn’t looked), he wasn’t going to spend any more time in it that was absolutely necessary. All the processes had been gone through to make sure that he wasn’t dreaming, though, and the only conclusion that could be drawn was that something strange had happened. Just what he and Lee needed, something else.
Lee. That was making matters even worse. Tarin knew where he’d gone to sleep the night before, and where Lee had been. If he was now in this woman’s body, did that mean she was in his? If it did, that meant that the woman, Tyranny, had woken up next to Lee. The thought wasn’t necessarily disturbing to Tarin, but the poor woman would have been shocked out of her mind. Added to the fact that Lee was not answering either the cell phone they’d finally gotten, or the phone at the apartment, Tarin’s pace down the street was faster than it probably would have been otherwise.
The more he walked, the more Tarin realized that Tyranny was in much better shape than he was. Walking at this pace for as long as he had would have at least had him winded, probably with a stitch in his side. This body was ready for more. The tennis shoes he’d chosen didn’t necessarily compliment the rest of the outfit, but fashion wasn’t really what Tarin was going for. At least the building he’d exited from wasn’t far from his and Lee’s.
Into the building Tarin went, momentarily forgetting about the fact that the concierge was a complete and total jerk to people who didn’t live in the building. The man was still yelling at him as the elevator closed. Tarin hadn’t noticed, though, because the guy kept yelling, “Ma’am”
As he neared the door to his apartment, Tarin could hear voices and the sound of a struggle, so forward he surged. The door was unlocked and the tableau presented to him when he entered the room was something that made his eyes widen and his jaw drop. Rupert had just punched Lee in the back of the head. What the hell was Rupert doing there?
“You bastard!” Tarin exclaimed, not even noticing how high pitched his voice had gotten with his anger, rushing forward and gathering Lee into his arms as she fell from the strike.
“Lee, are you okay?” he exclaimed, shooting a furious glare in Rupert’s direction and holding his wife. It took him a few moments to realize a couple of things, “Why do you smell like scotch? And why were you on top of Rupert?” This entire time, he completely failed to notice two things. First, that he was not in his normal body, and that his wife might not recognize him. Second, the body he was used to was standing, not too far away. Tarin noticed the second thing with a start and stared wide eyed at himself, then at his wife.
“Good lord, I am good looking. No wonder you couldn’t ever keep your hands off me.”

Yeah, Lee meant business, but it kind of felt like A: Helping her hurt herself and 2: causing a man to abuse his wife… when the bottle clanked off of Lee’s actual head Tarin’s body released her legs stood up spinning around and looking at Rupert’s actual face with a what the hell expression.
And that’s when the oddest thing happened She walked in, She as in Tyranny, as in out of body experience watching yourself walk around Tyranny scooped up the Ass and started yelling at his wife, his currently very manly wife…she had to admit her arms looked nice around Lee but the oddness of two men being inside there was kind of weird. What the hell was going on!?!
~~“Lee, are you okay?”, “Why do you smell like scotch? And why were you on top of Rupert?”
“Oh, boy, if you only knew. I just hope your wife there, is accepting of apologies.”
~~“Good lord, I am good looking. No wonder you couldn’t ever keep your hands off me.”
“Hey, your not looking too shabby at the moment either.” She was, She was just as hot as she always imagined and it was nice to know that as man. Which she was at the moment. She then realized something about the spirits that she had been ignoring for too long, there were more of them and they were starting to close on her. but it was also now easy to take care of with a few steps towards her self she banished every bit of spirit the heck away from him. at the very least she was no longer aware of them. relieved she let a sigh out of the mans mouth.

She'd landed the hit...to the back of her own head. That was more than a little strange, but she had dealt with worse, and Lee knew that her body could handle more that what it had just gotten. Well, at least she figured it could, but the fact was the body on top of her went rather limp all of a sudden.
Lee didn't have time to worry about that, though. Next thing she knew there was a woman's voice, and suddenly the weight was off of him.
Pushing himself up onto his elbows, Lee looked over to see her own body being cradled in the arms of another woman. As if that wasn't an odd enough sight, the words were Tarin's, yet not coming from his body, being said to someone other than her.
And then this new woman looked up at Tarin's body and commented on how good looking it was. Lee couldn't help but smile slightly and shake his head.
"Can you blame a girl, pressed that close to you in the bar, for not keeping my hands off you?" She asked, looking across the small distance on the floor at who had to be Tarin. "And you know damn well that Rupert deserves everything he gets from me. Plus, he tackled me first."

This dream’s logic was fairly easy to follow. If Rupert was Lee and Lee was Rupert, and that annoying Man-Chick was Pansy-Tarin, than Pansy-Tarin was...
...Exceptionally good-looking, and cuddling Rupert’s head oh so gently in her lap. At that moment, Rupert had to wonder why more women weren’t lesbians. This was something she could get used to.
>> “Lee, are you okay? Why do you smell like scotch? And why were you on top of Rupert?”
“Oh Medium,” Rupert replied, batting her eyelashes, “you do care.”
>> "And you know damn well that Rupert deserves everything he gets from me. Plus, he tackled me first."
“And I gave your little dog liquor, too.” The ex-cop grinned, reaching out one badly coordinated hand to pinch Tarin’s pretty little cheek. Not the one on her face, either.

Tairn’s head was starting to hurt as he looked around the apartment at the various gathered people. Lee spoke, and there was something so inherently wrong in the way that she spoke, that he nearly shuddered. Then Rupert spoke and Tarin’s mouth dropped open. Hearing those words from Rupert’s mouth… Tarin looked down and processed the words that had come from his wife’s mouth and shook his head, “No…no way….” He said, for the first time hearing himself speak in the breathy female whisper.
His voice spoke…the one he was used to, and Tarin turned his head, trying to wrap his brain around everything that was happening. His usual body was nodding towards Rupert’s body, which was on the floor. Rupert’s body was telling Tarin how obvious it should have been that Lee would want him, being that close in the bar. Then…his ass got pinched…by the Lee-body in his arms. It was at this point that Tarin nearly threw up…and Axel had been poisoned.
The dog was sitting a few feet away, panting prettily and wagging his tail. Apparently he handled scotch every bit as well as Tarin did. “Not that I can blame you…but keep your hands off my ass.” He said, voice slightly deadpan as Tarin looked away from…Rupert…and over at…Lee…
“What the fuck is going on here?” he said simply, “I wake up with…these” he said, gesturing vaguely at the breasts he’d been going to great lengths to ignore all morning. Unceremoniously dumping his wife’s body out of his lap, Tarin picked himself up and flopped on the couch, looking at his regular body again. This was strange…this was really. Freakin. Strange.
The other strange thing was that there were no spirits, absolutely no spirits. Tarin studied his normal body for a moment, his face looked a little pale. “You handling the spirits alright?” he asked, running a hand through his hair as he would have in his regular body, then wincing as it tangled in the longer hair. It was like being in high school again…
“If you’re having trouble, you just have to tell them to go away. Like…in your head…I assume if you’ve got my body, you’ve got the ability too. Anything I should know about you?”
A few more moments, and Tarin looked down on the floor at Rupert and Lee again, too gobsmacked to put any force behind his words, “And can’t you two be in a room together without ending up on each other…a lesser man would be worried.” Shaking his head, Tarin turned his girl-head towards his wife in Rupert’s body…someone really hated him. “What about you…did you talk to him about your powers?” he asked, jerking his head towards Rupert in Lee’s body. “And has anyone figured out why the hell we’re like this?”

>>"And you know damn well that Rupert deserves everything he gets from me. Plus, he tackled me first."
“oh, so true. Its your head, but feel free to do that a few more times.”
~~“What the f*** is going on here?”
“The question of the day, every one.”
~~“I wake up with…these”
Well that was the least amount of enthusiasm any man had ever had with waking up with access to those. Hmph/i]
~~“You handling the spirits alright?”
“Now yes, I think they were confused about what was going on too, but now that, I’m here, you’re here” she paused sorting out how to say that right. “ugh.”
“If you’re having trouble, you just have to tell them to go away. Like…in your head…I assume if you’ve got my body, you’ve got the ability too. Anything I should know about you?”
“actually, I just used my body to make them go away….you Nullify the x-gene. So whatever connection you had with all of those ghosts, well they are nice and out of the way. So long as I stay close to you. Oh by the way if any of you have mutations that you need to survive, well, stay a bit away from me.” She said pointing to where her proper body was.”
~~“And can’t you two be in a room together without ending up on each other…a lesser man would be worried.” “What about you…did you talk to him about your powers?” “And has anyone figured out why the hell we’re like this?”
“wow, really?” She looked at Lee in Rupert’s body gave him a once over all and all not bad, he had a certain rough appeal, but after spending the morning with him he lost major points. Then she glanced at herself and her body and absolutely approved of the man suit she was wearing… tats, great hair, he could use a little bit of exercise, but nothing she couldn’t have worked with. She’d remedy that while she was in this body. For however long she was in this body.
She leaned on the back of the couch, and played with her manly hair. And then began massaging the neck she was currently wearing…well a detective would start with similarities… what’d you guys all do last night? I was all over the place. A couple of cabs and the subway, The hospital, the laundry matt, a coffee shop, a book store, a mutant festival thing, a crazy scifi convention at a hotel, a club, another club and next thing I know, waking up to a good looking woman with a bad attitude In a mans body… I went to sleep in my own bed.”

Lee jumped, glaring, when she saw Rupert pinch...her husband's...ass. That was definitely an odd thought, seeing as it was a woman whose ass had just been pinched. But Lee know that, somehow, it was Rupert and Tarin there, and that just made it so completely wrong.
"How should I know what's going on?" Lee asked, finally pushing himself back up off the floor. "And you think I was happy waking up like this? I thought I'd lost it again..."
Even as Lee was getting to his feet, Tarin's woman body was falling onto the couch and running her hand through her hair. It was such a familiar motion, yet looked so wrong at the same time.
And then Tarin was asking the person in Tarin's body how they were dealing with the spirits. Lee blinked and turned to look at her husband's body. She had forgotten about that; especially recently, Tarin seemed to have had such a good grip on the spirits that Lee hadn't even thought about it possibly being a problem. Even after she knew that Rupert had her powers being in her body.
Then Tarin turned to her and asked if she'd told Rupert about using her powers, about anything he'd need to know, being in her body. "Yeah," Lee said, slightly sarcastically. "Cause he's in any condition to actually understand half of what I'd say. Plus, he already knows what my powers can do, and he's used some of the strength, so what's the point?"
This woman who was in Tarin's body, the body that Tarin was in, could nullify the x-gene? What did that...The closest thing to that that Lee could think of was how being close to Jacen made her powers simply stop working. Glancing between the woman in Tarin's body, Tarin in the woman's body, and Rupert in her body.
"You should probably stay near Rupert," Lee said to Tarin. "My siphoning was stronger before we met, before I started getting some control of it."
And then Lee's eyes snapped across the room when she heard all the places that Tarin's voice said he went the previous day. And for a moment, Lee freaked, because she'd been with Tarin for almost the entire day, and she was sure that he hadn't gone to nearly all of those places. But then her mind reminded her that it wasn't actually her husband speaking, despite the fact that it sounded like him, and her husband.
"I went for coffee, but Tarin didn't," Lee replied to the comments that were being made about what this person had done the previous day. She thought for a moment, head tilted to the side slightly. "We did go to that festival in the park, though."

>> “And can’t you two be in a room together without ending up on each other…a lesser man would be worried.”
Rupert was dumped onto the floor: not exactly a hard fall, when it involved a few inches and lush carpeting. This was a swaggy place. She rolled over to her stomach with a grin, her legs kicking cutely in the air above her. “Medium, it’s not about who’s the lesser man—that’s never been a competition—it’s about whose eggplant the lady prefers.”
She gave a delicate yawn, crossing her arms under her chin, and tilted her head just slightly to the side in the curvaceous Tarin’s direction. Ummm. The view down here... wasn’t all bad.
>> “What about you…did you talk to him about your powers? And has anyone figured out why the hell we’re like this?”
Normally, the idea of having powers would set Rupert’s skin to crawling. Right now, though? Well, that second question rather cleared up all of his concerns. She raised one of her arms, and gave Tarin a little you silly wave. “I’m dreaming, obviously. I must say, Tarin, you look much better this time around.”
>> “what’d you guys all do last night? I was all over the place. >> "I went for coffee, but Tarin didn't. We did go to that festival in the park, though."
Rupert plucked at some fuzz on the carpet. “Mark me down for coffee, as well. Then hours and hours alone in my apartment with Pink Floyd and Springsteen, cooking, a walk across the park with Flipsy to pick up some ingredients, a co-op, and more cooking. I believe I went to sleep hugging my dog.” He’d seen their mutant festival thing, as well, but largely avoided it with a sneer. The only thing he’d done was steal a muffin while one of the freaks had their back turned. That’d teach them.

Tarin nodded his head as the woman in his body told her that in his current body he could nullify mutant powers. He nodded his head, then it jerked to the side, locking on the eyes in his normal head. “I can do, what?” he said, head jerking towards Lee. There was another person they knew who could do that same thing, “Just by being close? You don’t have to do anything? Nothing else happens…the powers just…poof?”
The girl in his body continued the statement and seemed to think that simply staying close to him would be good enough, considering the powers her body had. Tarin shook his head and cast his body a look that welcomed no argument, “That’s all well and good, but you need to listen to me.” He said, leaning forward and dropping his forearms on his knees and looking at himself, “If you’re not by me, you need to work at it all the time. All. The. Time. Keep them out of your head or bad things can happen. Really bad things.”
Lee had a point when she said that Rupert wasn’t necessarily in any condition to listen to what she had to say and Tarin looked down at the prone form on the floor. “You’re some kind of idiot alcoholic on top of everything else. That’s good to know…” he said, shaking his head slightly then frowning as he remembered the things he’d seen from the woman at the Pharmaceutical company…maybe it wasn’t so hard to understand why Rupert was the way he was. Except…he was in Lee’s body…and being a pain in the ass.
“It’s fine Lee…we’re not going to let him out of our sight. You’ll have time to fill him in after he sobers up.”
Rupert seemed convinced that everything was a dream and he actually brought up the last dream that they’d had together. It was enough to bring a dark flush to the cheeks Tarin was currently wearing…the cheeks on his face. That was the last thing Tarin wanted to think about. That or the compliments he was getting from his wife’s body. Tarin looked at Lee again…she was Rupert…and Rupert was Lee. Tarin’s head pounded and he was almost grateful for the familiarity of the feeling. “You idiot…this is not a dream.”
Everyone was sharing what they’d done the night before, and Tarin didn’t add anything. Lee’s explanation of what they’d done was every bit as good as what his would have been. He listened though, and when it became obvious what they’d had in common, Tarin reached out with his tennis shoe clad foot and nudged Rupert, “Did you do anything at the festival? Did you talk to anyone, eat anything, drink anything? What all did we have Lee?” he said, trying really hard to look at Rupert’s body and think of it as his wife…it didn’t work very well…but it would have to do.
