The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

An eyebrow arched slightly at this greeting. In response, she waved her hand slightly, her smile widening a bit as she did so. Leaning on the door frame, Alexandra tilted her head to the side for a moment, as her eyes trailed on the scattered collection of manga and DVDs on the ground. "What do you think about Hebraic?" She asked as her eyes moved from the mess Shin had made in his room to his figure. Pursing her lips together, Alexandra tucked some hair behind her ear before folding her arms in front of her. "How about you? Have you decided on something?" she asked with curiosity as her eyes scanned the impressive pile of papers and DVDs in the middle of the room.
“I like it, are you going to get it stylized or anything? Or are you going to go traditional?”
~~"How about you? Have you decided on something?"
“Yeah I think I am going to pick my favorite anime Girl, how could I go wrong with having a woman on me all the time? What do you think about this?” he asked holding up the picture of his top pick thus far.” Abyss smiled on the inside, would she be able to not notice that every one of the pictures held the same blue of her eyes, and dark long hair, not that he knew that they were contacts or anything, or that her power actually made them blue. And her curves were there in most of the pictures to. If he got a talented artist he might just ask them to draw Circe in anime form on him. They would have to see.
A hand was taken to her chin in a thinking pose. Traditional or stylized? Alexandra didn't think that one out when she had finally decided on what she should tattoo on herself. Half decided, because at the moment she only knew that it would be Hebraic. Phrases were still running trough her head randomly without her being able to pick one and she didn't have the slightest idea on how the result would look like. "I'm leaning toward traditional but I'll decide once we get there." Alexandra replied with a small shrug.
Blue eyes scanned over the picture Shin was holding and head tilted to the side. It was a nice picture, nice girl and somehow familiar but Alexandra couldn't quite place her finger on it. Maybe she had seen this one before? With a mental shrug, she smiled in approval, although more confused about Shin's pic. She didn't know he was that much into women. I mean, yeah, he would be into women, it was a natural thing but Shin didn't look like the guy who was ready to have a woman with him at all times. Was there something fishy here or had she mistaken her opinion on the Asian boy? Today, her job was to find out.
"Looks awesome!" she commented and giving one last glance over the picture, she turned back to Shin again. "Have you decided where you're going to have the tattoo?" Alexandra asked with curiosity. Hands moved to rest on her hips as she waited for an answer.
~~"I'm leaning toward traditional but I'll decide once we get there."
“Sounds like a plan, the Hebraic is pretty on its own any how.” He smirked. Realizing who the woman was. It was the girl who mars told him about that had control over molocules or something of the sort… she could make arrows fall from the sky and ice melt around their brother. “ I think Goddess would suit you.” He nodded as if he decided the script for her.
"Looks awesome"
“Thanks.” He grinned.
“Have you decided where you're going to have the tattoo?"
“ummmm, I had an Idea, but I might have to rethink it.” He wondered idly if the tattoo would present a problem for the man once they had managed to get their bodies back. “ maybe I’ll just get it on my bum.” He said with a grin. He threw his shirt on and then found some comfy looking shoes on.
“lets grab some coffee or some food, or maybe some drinks after words…depending on how much they hurt. “ He took the small poster and had no Idea that the little green headed girl on the other side could pose a problem to his plan of this man’s flesh.
Yeah, definitely Shin wasn’t Shin today. Alexandra could have expected the word to come from Dom’s word a million times before it even reached Shin’s brain.
The molecule manipulator smiled, nodding slightly as she did so.
“ maybe I’ll just get it on my bum.”
Alexandra laughed silently as she watched Shin putting his shirt and shoes on. “I’m thinking about the wrist, or along the ribs for mine.” She shrugged slightly, giving her wrist a glance. “I’m waiting to decide on a phrase before deciding where it would look better.” Blue eyes trailed back to Shin as he was walking back to her after finishing with the dressing. Hands slipped from her waist as she pushed herself from the door frame.
“lets grab some coffee or some food, or maybe some drinks after words…depending on how much they hurt. “
“Sure. Let me call a cab.” She replied, her response being accompanied by a small nod. Her hand reached for her pocket and pulled out the phone. A few pushes of buttons later, she was holding the phone to her ear and requesting a cab to come at Xavier’s sister school. After a few moments of waiting, she was placing the phone back to her pocket. “Said that it’ll be here in five so we’d better go outside.”
~~“I’m thinking about the wrist, or along the ribs for mine.” “I’m waiting to decide on a phrase before deciding where it would look better.”
His good hand rose to Circe’s ribs just above her stomach and below any thing that might get him slapped. About here?” He hadn’t ever thought about the ribs as a place to get a tattoo. “hmm.” His consideration wasn’t about how a tattoo might look there but more about that she would have to bare some skin if she got it there.
~“Sure. Let me call a cab.”
“Sounds good.”
~~“Said that it’ll be here in five so we’d better go outside.”
“By all means.” He offered the crook of his arm to Circe, still not realizing that the woman was spoken for…really though, he didn’t know how to use this bodies mutant power…he should be more wary of mutant boyfriends.
The pair walked out the front door and down the path to the gate, it was easier than buzzing anyone in.
“You ever wonder what it’d be like to be one of the obvious mutants?… take the order, they have those big red guys with the tails.” He threw out the bait to see if she had noticed any of his brothers or himself, if he was right this was the same woman that Mars and Mercury fought the Ice man with…and he very well might be the Asian with the broken arm…of course he was.
A hand slipped trough the crook of Shin’s offered hand and the two mutants walked to the front door. Blue eyes wandered on the Mansion Grounds, eyes following the grayish path that connected the front gates with the Mansion itself.
“You ever wonder what it’d be like to be one of the obvious mutants?… take the order, they have those big red guys with the tails.”
Alexandra turned her head to the side, blue eyes watching with curiosity the Asian. Strangely, no such subjects had ever been discussed between the two of them on. “The ones that helped us take out Sam?” She asked, as blue eyes traveled on the Mansion grounds once again. The fight at the King Pharmaceuticals was a sore thought, but, unfortunately, one she couldn’t force herself not to think about. Sighing, she turned her head back to Shin.
“I don’t know. It must be harder for them. She paused for a moment, taking in a deep breath. “We’re lucky, you know. We can pass by humans and they wouldn’t know we’re mutants. We don’t see the hatred, the disgust in their eyes as often as other mutants might. We know it’s there… but I guess it’s easier when you don’t face it wherever you go.” Alexandra sighed. “And… maybe a lot of people would be kinder if they don’t need shut off their feeling so they wouldn’t get hurt, physically and mentally.” Would have that happened in her situation, she wondered.Stop it. The past was the past. It couldn’t be changed. So there was no need to mull over it like she did. Alexandra smiled. “Even those two red guys. One asked us if we need help with Sam, after we’ve come at their doors with the intention of bringing them down. Perhaps that if society accepted us just the way we are, he wouldn’t have been defending Haywire in the first place.” Alexandra shrugged, eyes turning to the gates where the cab was waiting. “Oh, cab’s here. Come on!” she said, tugging gently the Asian’s arm.
Abyss laughed lightly. “ I hope that is all the big, red, tailed, guys they have. I counted at least five.” It was odd to have a conversation and be able to hear someone’s point of view objectively. She could call them freaks or say they were gorgeous and he’d have to just play the part he’d been given.
~~“I don’t know. It must be harder for them.” “We’re lucky, you know. We can pass by humans and they wouldn’t know we’re mutants. We don’t see the hatred, the disgust in their eyes as often as other mutants might. We know it’s there… but I guess it’s easier when you don’t face it wherever you go.”
“I’m sure it is hard, though, I bet those guys in particular don’t see too much of it to their face. That could be why they take up the pro mutant banner like they do. Then again they could just be crazy go nuts.” Hmmmm what other dribble might an xman say in this situation? “ I just can’t see hurting someone for their view. Defend yourself, sure. Defend others, absolutely. But when you start hurting others because of their view, it is ludicrous.” Garbage, absolute and utter garbage. Human’s deserved to be replaced, forcefully if they wouldn’t go quietly. Weak, stupid and an obsolete model.]
~~ “And… maybe a lot of people would be kinder if they don’t need shut off their feeling so they wouldn’t get hurt, physically and mentally.”
“That’s true too. You ever have trouble staying on the strait and narrow? I just, I dunno.” He waited for a moment to draw her in. “ I just think that sometimes, the order is right…I saw the church of humanity thing the other night, and they were talking about culling the less than human looking mutants. And it made me furious. I don’t like being that angry at anyone….but yeah I dunno, maybe it is the pain medication they gave me for the arm.”
~~“Even those two red guys. One asked us if we need help with Sam, after we’ve come at their doors with the intention of bringing them down. Perhaps that if society accepted us just the way we are, he wouldn’t have been defending Haywire in the first place “Oh, cab’s here. Come on!”
Though tug she did, she needn’t bother, the fact that she was on his arm was enough to convince him to go where she said and he would.
He followed her into the cab, and seeing as they were both newbies to this, he had to think she didn’t have a place planned out. “ You know any good tat parlors?” he asked the cabbie in reply to the typical “where to?” Greeting of the NY Cabie.
For most of Shin’s answers Alexandra gave a small nod, or a shrug. She didn’t really want to get into that conversation with him, aware that she might say something wrong and attract the wrong kind of attention on her. Only when he asked if she’d ever had problems with being straight and narrow, she decided to speak.
“I think that all of us had doubts at some point. But doubts make convictions stronger. I think.” she replied, sighing slightly. Shin would be surprised to find out just what problems she’d had with being straight and narrow.
With that being said, she hopped into the cab and made herself comfortable while waiting for the driver to tell them a few tattoo parlors name. The man turned around blinking slowly as he seemed to think of an answer for Shin’s question. “Well, there’s Red Rocket, Venus and Inkstop that I know off. You two interested in any of these?” he asked as his eyes trailed from her to Shin again, and again, and again, and again. Jeez, wasn’t this man getting dizzy?
“Mhmmm, Inkstop sounds good…” she said, looking at Shin rather than at the cabie with fast moving eyes.
[OOC: Feel free to god-mod us to the tattoo parlor.]
~~“I think that all of us had doubts at some point. But doubts make convictions stronger. I think.”
“That. Is an interesting way to look at things.”
A smile quirked his lips as he could have made a lude joke about the first name, he was related to the second and the third was what she picked.
Like any good cab ride in new york, it was part rollercoaster, part apology for language and part holding on for dear life. Shin slid toward Circe on one particular turn bringing the pair nice and close. His arm went across her and clung to the door, something else moving him was a completely new experience, inertia typically had to have the pull of a meteor to get him to move because of it. Being flung around in a cab wasn’t fun until it put him nice and close to Circe’s fine form. The trip to the Inkstop was fun from then on out, he also happened to note that potholes and bumps did his companion some good as well. What was it that had him gawking at her like this? Was it his need for comfort? The loss of his sister? No, that didn’t feel quite right. It had to have been her. was his mind being altered by being contained in shin’s body or could he have actually been himself? His mind wasn’t shattered due to his mutation at the moment? What a time to feel stable.
He grimaced as the Cabbie pulled to a stop. And he had to scooch away to appear as if he wasn’t enjoying there bodies so close. He pulled out his wallet and paid the fair plus a tip for driving terribly. If he paid more attention he would have asked him what language he was hearing those curse words in. He then hoped out of the car and held the door open with his casted arm, offering his other to help her out of the car.
Cabs were awful. But Cabs plus New York equaled Hell. For once Alexandra was content with her petite frame, for if she were to be inches taller, her head would have suffered multiple concussions by now. Bumps, holes, abrupt corners, speed and nasty words removed the idea of boredom that one simple cab ride usually promised. Add to that the fact that Shin had a broken arm and that he was thrown from side to side and things became much more interesting.
Somewhere between the attempts to avoid the Shin projectile or to be a projectile herself, Alexandra gave up and allowed herself to relax, only from time to time, her hand grasping the seat. And she also promised herself that the next thing on her to-do list was to buy a car.
The X’s could ask how she got the money until their tongues got dry. She’d figure out something to say without mentioning the fact that a pretty fat bank account existed on her name… or the fact that not long ago she had inherited a large fortune from her beloved father.
The molecule manipulator sighed as she clasped her hand on the fake leather seat as Shin’s body was launched toward her yet again.
She could have said that the ride was uncomfortable but somewhere between the moment when Shin asked her if he could join her in the shower and the fact that their position wasn’t one of the friendliest one could think of, but, once again, she got used with it.
When the cab ride of hell was finally over, Alexandra let out a relieved breath. Man, her brain felt like they had been in a mixer.
“Have a good day!” The cabbie said as he turned around to get paid. Hmm, probably the tip had something to do with that certainly too positive attitude. “Yeah. The same to you.” Alexandra responded, a polite smile on her lips. The molecule manipulator did not expect an answer as she accepted Shin’s hand and hopped out of the car, happy that she could sit on her own two precious feet rather than the four wheels of the hell ride.
The hand dropped to her side as she eyed the tattoo parlor. It looked nice and clean, and, most important, professional. “Any second thoughts?” she asked as blue eyes traveled to the Asian. Hopefully, he didn’t have any… for she had none.
“Never. Once I set my mind to something, I follow through.” He presented her a half smile not commenting on the fact that applied to other agendas he found today. Shin again moved to the door to make it so she never had to open one for her self.
“I am still set on what I came for.” He paused and then followed behind her, it was tricky to do with a cast but he managed. “So we just have to find a font and a spot for you and we can start getting Ink.” As they entered the parlor, a man called dibs as he saw Circe and the other cursed as he saw her friend was an Asian…male.
“Hi guys.” Abyss called out cheerfully, in the tone that he was slowly becoming more accustomed to.
He went and grabbed the clip boards that had the paperwork that said they were only so responsible for what happened and couldn’t be held responsible in a court of law. For anything.
He called to the males. “ I know what I want but she wants to look a some scripts and locations.” The last was said with a slight warning that both men caught and promptly considered ignoring.
Alexandra entered the tattoo parlor nodding in Shin’s direction as a thanks for opening the door for her and with a smile on her face she choose to ignore any inappropriate behavior that was taking place. She let Shin do all the talking, after all, one of the reasons she hadn’t gotten a tattoo earlier was that she wanted someone to be with her when she did, if possible male. When she had woke up in the morning she had no idea that today was going to be tattoo day, nor did she think that she’d go with Shin.
“Of course.” one of the men answered, a grin upon his face. Looking around for a moment, he picked up a folder and extended it toward the molecule manipulator. “Name’s Johnny, by the way.” Alexandra pursed her lips together in order to retain a smile. “Alexandra. And that’s Shin. Nice to meet you Johnny.” Blinking lazily, she took the folder and walked to one of the chairs. Seating herself she put one leg over the other and started to browse trough the pictures.
After looking at several pictures, the molecule manipulator’s eyes trailed from the paper to Johnny. “You have a piece of paper and a pen, Johnny?” The man looked at her for a before taking a blank piece of paper and a pen. “Here you go miss.” Alexandra nodded at the man “Thank you.” then started to write something on the paper. “I want this text, looking like this.” She smiled as she handed the paper to Johnny while a finger was set on a picture. Blue eyes traveled to Shin. “What do you think about it Shin?”
“Nice!” came the enthusiastic response from Shin."what does it say?" Just as a tattooed female came from the back and made her way to a mini fried behind the front “desk”
“Hun,” she called to Circe. “If you’d prefer a female to do your ink, just let me know, these boys don’t know how to behave and while I can’t save you from the stupidity that comes from their mouths, I can save you having there hands on ya.” She winked. As Johnny looked dismayed and the other male smirked.
He held out a picture to the sitting male and listened as he was advised that the art would need to be redrawn and cleaned up . The male took the picture even as he motioned Shin to a bench to wait out the drawing. Not moments later the male was running out of the back and blabbing on a cell phone. “She’s having the baby!” he called out as he went toward the door. “ who ever isn’t doing her, needs to do him!” he said as the door slammed shut.
Abyss set there in the Asian body feeling dismissed. “He took the picture I wanted into the back with a paper. It was an anime girl.”
Alexandra replied Shin’s question with a grin. “That would be my little secret.” she said, and by the time she finished talking a tattooed female came from the back of the tattoo parlor. Chuckling slightly, the molecule manipulator got up from the chair, paper in hands. “That sounds lovely.” she replied, watching amused how Johnny’s happy face melted away. Mentally shaking her head, Alexandra extended her hand toward the woman. “My name is Alexandra.” The woman shook her hand for a few moments, a smile on her lips. “Mary.” As the introductions were finished Alexandra extended her other hand, the one which held the drawing. “And this is what I would like. Here.” As soon as the papers were in Mary’s hand, she took her own hand to her ribs, to show the place where she wanted the tattoo.
Johnny’s face melted a bit more.
“She’s having the baby! who ever isn’t doing her, needs to do him!
Blue eyes turned from Mary to the man as he exited the tattoo parlor.
“He took the picture I wanted into the back with a paper. It was an anime girl.”
Not good. Alexandra looked at Shin with an sympathetic smile on her lips.
