The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

((ooc: Tell me if I need to change anything in dream land. ))
Rupert wasn’t in the shop anymore. Not that he remembered there was a shop to be in. No. Right now, his world revolved around the bed. He sat on one corner of its end; Lee sat on the other. The pregnancy test was between them.
Lee wasn't in the shop any more. She wasn't touching Tarin any more. In fact, her husband wasn't anywhere within sight.
Rupert, however, was. That man was sitting just over a foot away from her, and as Lee turned to look at him, wondering what was going on, she noticed what it was they were sitting on.
A bed.
Lee blinked. She was sitting on one corner of a bed, Rupert was sitting beside her on the other corner, definitely within arms length. And sitting between them, on the dark blue cover over the bed, was a white piece of plastic.
Lee's eyes widened as she took that in, then shot up to Rupert as he asked what they were going to tell Tarin.
Tell Tarin about what? Lee's eyes widened even further if it was possible as she looked back down at the small plastic tube looking thing on the bed. Her heart was pounding, her breathing starting to come in short, shallow breaths. Then she looked back up at Rupert.
That couldn't be what that meant, right? She'd just been in the shop with Tarin and Rupert, trying to wake them both up after they'd drank too much Scotch. How could she be here, like this, with Rupert?
"I don't know," was all that Lee could reply to Rupert's question. How could she know what to say to Tarin when she didn't even fully understand what was going on or how she'd gotten to this point?
Without another word, Lee picked up the pregnancy test that had been sitting between her and Rupert and looked at it in shock.

Dream Tarin was very different than fully conscious and sober Tarin. Dream Tarin was all about indulging and making himself happy. Right now, he was trying to find that pesky wife of his. He was only dressed in boxers because really…what else did you need in a dream that was going where this one was heading? You didn’t. Plain and simple as that. This was one hell of a deep sleep too, so there was little chance of a lucid dream like the last one Lee had walked in on.
There was a problem, though. Dream Tarin couldn’t find dream Lee….and dream Lee was waiting for him…so that the fun could start. Where could she be hiding, though? It didn’t matter that the apartment they were in was only vaguely reminiscent of their current residence, mixed in with the old one they’d lived in before. The setting wasn’t important, not at all. What mattered was finding Lee. Dream Tarin was single minded.
Down the hallway Tarin went, checking door after door and finding the rooms empty. Why was this hall so long? It had looked like there were only a few doors, but now it seemed like it stretched on forever. Tarin kept going, singlemindedness making up for impatience as door after door revealed nothing more than empty rooms….until finally.
The door opened, and there was Lee, sitting on the edge of the bed. “Ha! I found you!” Tarin exclaimed, making quick work of the space between them and kissing his wife soundly. “Why are you wearing so many clothes?”
It was only then that Tarin realized that they weren’t alone in the room. Rupert was there. “Oh hi Rupert.” Dream Tarin said, before going back to kissing Lee some more. By the way…dream Tarin was single minded.

“ ‘Oh hi’?” Dream Rupert deadpanned, as Dream Tarin hopped Unfortunately Lucid Lee’s bones right in front of him. “That’s all I get?”
He picked up the pregnancy test, and shoved it in front of Tarin’s face. “I impregnated your wife,” he growled. “Twice.”
His snarl froze on his face as he stared down at the boxer-clad man-bulk in front of him. There was... something on Tarin’s face. Two things. They wet were and simpering. Brown, the color of a doormat. The eyes are the mirror of the soul. Tarin’s were saying ‘pistol whip me’.
One violent shove later, Tarin was off of Lee and on the floor.
Lee had been impregnated. Twice. It was her husband’s turn.
The pregnancy test was still in Lee's hand when she heard a door opening. Glancing up, she saw Tarin striding over to her, a grin on his face. And then he was there, right in front of her, his lips pressing against hers, his hand going up to her hair.
When Tarin finally pulled away enough to speak, he asked why she was wearing so many clothes. "What?" Here she was, sitting on a bed beside Rupert, and her husband was wondering why she was wearing so much clothing?
Well, at least Tarin's simple 'hi' to Rupert a moment later almost explained his previous comment; it seemed like he had only just noticed the other man. But then Tarin was leaning in again, kissing her again, with more intensity than he had before. Knocking the pregnancy test out of Lee's hand and back onto the bed beside her as he slowly pressed her down.
What the hell was going on, Lee wondered as Tarin continued to kiss her. Well, she was kissing him back, but with nowhere near the intensity and passion that her husband was putting into it. Sure, they were laying on a bed kissing like this. Normally, that would have been fine. Except that Rupert was sitting right there beside them as they did it. Rupert who, at least that's what it seemed like, had...
>>“I impregnated your wife. Twice.”
Lee's eyes shot wide open, her body freezing under Tarin's, when she heard those words. So much for trying to figure out how to tell her husband.
But Tarin didn't move. Well, he moved, but all he was doing was continuing to kiss her. He didn't seem to be having any reaction to what Rupert had said.
How the HELL could Tarin be having no reaction to that? With how terrified she was about the idea of being pregnant, how could he not be having any kind of reaction to another man saying that he got her pregnant?
She was pregnant. That finally seemed to settle into her, and as Lee blinked, she felt wet tears start running down the sides of her cheeks.
Then, suddenly, Tarin wasn't on top of her any more. It must have happened while she was blinking, because when she opened her eyes her husband wasn't there any more. But out of the corner of her eye, Lee saw Rupert moving.
Sitting up, Lee watched in shock as Rupert fell upon her husband. What the hell? If something like this was going to happen after what Rupert had spit out, it should have been Tarin attacking him.
Pushing herself off the bed, Lee made her way over to where the two men were laying on the ground, ready to pull them apart. At least they weren't throwing punches. Yet.

Lee was not reacting the way that she should have been. Well, she was kissing him back, but it just wasn’t with the gusto that Tarin was used to when they were engaged in this particular activity. That was okay, maybe Lee was just warming up. Dream Tarin really didn’t mind, though, she was still participating, and that was going to accomplish the goal. And the goal was all that mattered…it was strange though, usually Lee was a more than eager participant.
Rupert was there, but Tarin didn’t really care. The other man wasn’t doing anything to impede his actions, so if that was what Rupert wanted to do…Rupert could do it, as long as he didn’t get in the way. Rupert said something, but he was way more interested in trying to get Lee out of all those unnecessary clothes she was wearing. Then suddenly, he was on the floor. Wait, had Rupert said something about impregnation?
It didn’t matter, the other man had Tarin pinned on the ground, that was not okay. Tarin Brooks was nobodies bitch. To one side the medium lurched, throwing his weight into rolling Rupert beneath him. Then he looked down, triumphantly. Dream Tarin still had a one track mind, and there was a perfectly functioning body currently pinned beneath his. Their noses were almost touching as it was…he closed the rest of the distance. Man-kiss, initiated.
When that was done, Tarin noticed Lee’s legs and grabbed them, rolling slightly again and pulling her so she fell between them. “Now, about those clothes.”

Man-kiss initated.
System is thinking.
Downloading: Man-kiss reactions.
Hourglass... hourglass...
Download complete. Return man-kiss? Yes/No.
**** yes. Rupert might be on the bottom, but he wasn’t just lying there taking it. Tarin’s lips needed to be taught a lesson, like a Chihuahua needed to be kicked.
Pregnant Lee made the mistake of interrupting class.
>> “Now, about those clothes.”
Teacher Rupert contemplated the woman thoughtfully. “She does have too many.” A simple solution existed for this.
The pregnancy test watched from the bed, its indicator window pink with pride.
