The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Deathstar felt a little uneasy the way she attacked the innocence of Mettaliar as she finished stocking the food in the fridge, an apology was not going to happen, but there are other ways around it. "Mettaliar, I again don't mean to attack you, but I want the best of the best on my team, and it seems you can fill that void", Deathstar says in a friendly tone quickly trying to escape that guilty feeling, "well guys I'm off to the gym, and Fade you look like you can join me", she says jokingly, "Mettaliar nice too meet, hopefully we can spend a little more together, but then I don't want to make Fade jealous, wooo!, I just can't stop myself can I, I'm on a roll", with that being said Deathstar left the returning mutants alone while and heads off to the gym for a workout. "Alright guys see ya around".

Mettaliar sat there as the woman argued amongst themselves. He tended to stay out of it, mostly for not knowing half of what was going on, but from what he could tell it was something that would be awkward for Fade. His last move would be to cause some sort of awkwardness, as much as Deathstar seemed to take a liking to it. He sat still with his head resting on his hands. Suddenly, Deathstar began to rationalize her sudden questioning. Mettaliar nodded as she spoke.
"It's ok, Deathstar, I understand. Hopefully I'm good enough to fill that void." As he answered she motioned to leave. He waved good bye to her, nodding as she acknowledged him. He didn't respond to her joke and it's follow up celebration of awesomeness, just smiled as she walked off. When she left the room he put his hands down and together, twidiling his thumbs and looking down. "Does she always like to joke around with you?" He shifted his greenish eyes to look at Fade, smiling as he did so.
Fade laughed as her friend left. Judging by the encounter between Deathstar and Mettaliar, she could tell they were quite a different duo. While Mettaliar seemed more quiet and reserved, speaking his mind only when he felt he could relate to the other, Deathstar was quite the rebellious young fireball, quick to attack anyone with a snide comment. Lucky for Fade, she had somehow learned to manage this and find humor in it. It was funny sometimes how much people would blush when she'd say somethings.
"Oh she's a bit...outspoken," she smiled before scrapping the mac'n'cheese into a bowl for herself and leaving half in the pot. "You want some?" she offered, holding up the tempting child food. "Most people get into arguements with her fast, you just gotta learn how to hold up that side of you and realize that not everything she says is an insult, and she likes to say things to other people to take any negative spotlight off of her and just put her under the 'badass insulter' spotlight. She's pretty good at it, if you ask me, but she's one of the best friends I've encountered here at the Mansion. Everyone's got their own personalities, ya know?" She added the last bit as if she were a... how do you properly pronounce it... gangsta?

Mettaliar nodded at the offer of mac n' cheese and got up to get a bowl. He listened to Fade's explanation of Deathstar's behavior and smirked. He knew all too well people like that. He didn't mind them as much as fall for their little awkward moments all the time. He figured his encounters with her would probably lead to a lot of blushing moments or intense laughing. All in good fun, he guessed. He grabbed the bowl and began to gather himself some mac n' cheese, laughing a bit when Fade pulled out her "gangsta" talk at the last second unexpectedly.
"Haha yeah. It's always fun to have a lot of people of different backrounds and personalities come together. Always makes for interesting conversations. Kind of like...." He stopped himself before saying it. He was not going to bring up that subject again. He didn't want to mentally think about it. My friends. He noticed that he had left Fade hanging on that sentence, yet he didn't know how to save it so he just left it up for her imagination. He took a fork from a drawer and sat back down taking the first bite of the mac n' cheese along the way. Good stuff.
A slight hesitation and then silence from Mettaliar caused Fade's eyes to squint. Kinda like... kinda like... kinda like what? No worries, her quick mind and stupid references saved the sentence: "Kinda like a drawer full of silverware," she said as she closed the drawer after grabbing two forks. "You've got your knifes, forks, spoons, nutcrackers, draining spoons, salad forks, and so on. A different kind of utensil, just because they're different doesn't mean you can't use them. I consider myself a... crab fork, one of those tiny forks used to get small piece of crab meat out of the legs?" Homo! But it'll do, she mentally chuckled. The thought of crab, however, made her a bit hungry for it.
"What about you? I mean, then again, you can make all those utensils within a couple seconds, so that blows the crab fork outta the drawer," she shrugged, keeping a smile on her face to let him know she was only being humorous. She pulled out a seat and sat down before eating her long lost childhood favorite food. "Holy crap, that's a blast of cheese."

Mettaliar smiled slightly as Fade was able to finish his sentence quite well. He nodded and took another bite of the delicious mac n' cheese. He sat awhile listening to Fade speak and nodded. It was a nice and true comparison. The utensils idea was a nice way to put it. He took another bite and decided to add on to that himself, laughing slightly more at Fade's remark about his mutation and how it fit into the comparison.
"True, true. And you can even think deeper. Even with the different kinds of utensils you can break them down into even more categories. You have you knives, but than you also have your butter knife, steak knife etc. You also have your big and little spoons. Then you have your table forks and your... crab meat forks." He chuckled slightly at the sudden thought that they thought the same thing. "You get the idea. And than you put them all together to form a team, like the X-Men. They all have their part to play and do it for the most part. And when things go right, you can enjoy such things as mac n' cheese!" He took another bite and smiled slightly.
"You know what? I think we should start our own book, using all these silly metaphors and such. I predict that in a year or so, we'll be millionaires, and this Mansion will be like our pool house!" She joked, taking a sip of her soda. A few more bites of her mac'n'cheese and it was gone. "So an X-Man made the mac'n'cheese', and used X-Men silverware to eat the X-made mac'n'cheese?"
With that, she lifted the fork into the air as if preparing to sell it for a valuable price. "Interesting. Hey, have you ever trained in the Danger Room?" She asked, running low on dumb comments and questions, surprisingly enough.

He smiled at her metaphor-filled book idea and it's goal of making them millionaires. Would be an interesting idea if it would work. He also chuckled at her sudden burst of energy adding X-Men to everything she could possibly think of. Fade was deffinatly an interesting character. Someone quite different than he'd really seen. Was a very nice warm welcoming. Hoping she was thinking the same for her. He sometimes forgot that this was a return for her as well. Fate was the most interesting of folks as well.
Suddenly she threw out the out-of place about the danger room. He sighed and finished his mac n' cheese while nodding. "Yeah, a few times. It's quite a fun experience. Deffinatly keeps you on your toes. How about you?" He put the bowl and fork down on the table and leaned back, letting her answer. This brought up something he had not considered. How strong is Fade? He would soon find out, he guessed.
