The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

~~“Yeah, you might be right.” “It would be nice if someone came here...”
He nodded simply and then grabbed the phone,” I will call Tien. She can probably have you fixed up in two shakes.”
~~“Privacy? If you think there is something you haven’t seen…”
“I, um well, its just. I dunno its medical, Suit your self. He glanced over the balcony at some of the clothing flung haphazardly into the living room from a previous night. “I’ll be here for ya. I think I might go tidy up before we educate the Girl about what we do here too much.”
Pluto began to pick up around the place mostly collecting frilly things an putting them in the laundry.
_one hour later_
Precisely on time a quiet knock tapped on the door. Jaxon had looked fine to him since the springing into action good morning. And attempted technicolor yawn.
“she is right up stairs Tien. Can I get you anything? Thanks for coming by.”Pluto babbled and then followed Tien up to the balcony.
The Teen gave him a peculiar look, what was he riled about?
But something in pluto’s gut had knocked him on the head while cleaning up... got sick in the morning…they had been using protection…most of the time. I mean did the shower count?
It was a good nervous, an excited nervous, a hopeful nervous. A nervous he hadn’t dared show Jaxon just yet. He was relieved he told her he loved her before this. She couldn’t and wouldn’t question if he was saying it just because. Ha what was he talking about it could just be a bug.
“Oh good…” Jaxon like Tien, and would be more comfortable with someone she knew. The fact that Pluto seemed concerned for her modesty was adorable and she couldn’t help but chuckle when he started cleaning up. Despite the fact that it would have been nice to ignore the clothing and the phone call he was making and just pull him into bed for a nap, she found the energy to crawl out of bed and help pick up some of the clothing.
When Pluto let Tien in and led her up the stairs Jaxon was starting to feel a little foolish for calling her. She had cleaned up a little, put on some loose clothing, and helped tidy up the room. Other than the current exhaustion and the strange wake-up call, she didn’t think anything was wrong.
She was laying in bed, but sat up when the two of them came up the stairs, giving Tien a smile and a small hello. For some reason Pluto seemed… edgy. Jaxon even caught Tien giving him an odd look as they climbed the last of the steps.
Tien shook her head before turning her attention to Jaxon. “Hey Jaxon… Pluto said you weren’t feeling well?” Tien moved to the edge of the bed and Jaxon nodded for her to sit down.
“Yeah… I just think I’ve been doing too much before I got used to being here and I got sick. I thought it was the flu because I almost threw up, but he said you don’t have any flu down here so…” Jaxon shrugged.
“You almost threw up?” Tien didn’t seem too concerned, and placed a hand on Jaxon’s forehead. After a moment she looked confused, and asked Jaxon to lay back again. More concerned than before, Jaxon watched as Tien placed a hand on her rib cage, slowly moving down to her hips.
The teen’s eyes widened and uncharacteristically the young woman blushed. Glancing back and forth from Pluto to Jaxon, Tien started slowly. “Well, you do have a little bit of a cold, and your electrolytes are depleted, but…. That isn’t the reason you have been tired or almost throwing up.”
The teen paused and Jaxon wanted to leap down her throat and get to the point, but the girl was obviously uncomfortable so Jax tried to stay calm. After the momentary pause, and Jaxon staring at her like she wanted to bore a hole in Tien’s brain, the girl started speaking again. “I… You are pregnant. Not very far but… Yeah, you are.”
Jaxon’s eyes just about fell out of her head while Tien seemed to be avoiding looking either of them in the eye. “What?!”
Pluto stopped at the top of the staircase waiting and watching and listening. His tail pranced back and forth as he listend and watched the typical routine. He watched more inently as Tien’s hands moved over Jaxon’s Ribs.
~~“Oh good…”
**“Hey Jaxon… Pluto said you weren’t feeling well?”
~~“Yeah… I just think I’ve been doing too much before I got used to being here and I got sick. I thought it was the flu because I almost threw up, but he said you don’t have any flu down here so…”
**“You almost threw up?”. “Well, you do have a little bit of a cold, and your electrolytes are depleted, but…. That isn’t the reason you have been tired or almost throwing up.”“I… You are pregnant. Not very far but… Yeah, you are.”
~~“What?!”
A Ridiculous grin painted itself across Pluto’s Face. “I’m gonna be a dad?” euphoria would be the best description. He caught Jaxon’s shocked eyes and he a slight giggle bubbled up from his mouth his body then wavered slightly and he fell back…down the stairs his hand on the rail meaning nothing.
Once safely at the bottom, he was more worried about the stairs, but didn’t want to startle the little momma up the stairs. “I’m ok. I’m good! I’M Great!” he paused for a moment laying there on the floor still fighting the giggles taking over and letting loose on his good fortune. “How are you, babe?”
Jaxon would have found the expression on Pluto’s face very entertaining, but she was too preoccupied with her whirling thoughts to really focus on it. His words made her eyes dart to him though, and she wasn’t sure what to think. When he started laughing, Jaxon wanted to throw something at him and tell him to stop laughing and help her… But Pluto managed to diffuse the sudden panicked anger by falling down the stairs.
Even though she knew he shouldn’t be hurt, she couldn’t help jumping from the bed and looking over the rail. At his status report, Jaxon rolled her eyes with a sigh and a soft smile. Looking over her shoulder at Tien, who was laughing at the noises coming from the large red man downstairs, she shook her head. Dramatically, Jaxon sighed, “I’m in trouble, aren’t I?”
Tien nodded, and the two of them shared a look before heading down the stairs. Standing next to the man sprawled out on the floor laughing like a maniac, she couldn’t help but smile. After a few moments Tien showed herself out and Jaxon sat down on the floor next to him. “Well… other than the fact that you are laughing like a loon…” She poked him lightly with a smile, “I think I’m… Freaked out. Scared. I don’t know, pick a word.”
She shrugged still a little lost in the path of things that had happened, trying to figure it out. “Except for that? I’m okay.”
He waved to Tien an managed to call out. “Let us……… Announce it…… please.”
~~“Well… other than the fact that you are laughing like a loon…” “I think I’m… Freaked out. Scared. I don’t know, pick a word.”
“Sorry… laughing can’t stop…. too happy…it hurts.”
~~“Except for that? I’m okay.”
Pluto finally managed to reel it in to the point he could rise up off the floor, He draped his arm around her. “ I suppose it is a bit sudden or not consider how much lingerie we cleaned up.” He paused thoughtfully. “ I still mean everything I said last night and I think we will be ok.” He paused again.
“Why are you afraid?” he moved a strand or two of hair behind an ear and couldn’t help but feel like he was glowing at her.
“You know we thought that our mutation might have made us sterile… I mean Venus and well the population he should or could have been responsible for. Just the odds, but no babies….I dunno. I can’t not be happy.”

Smiling at him, albeit to a lesser degree than Pluto, she couldn’t help but think that his good mood was infectious. Whether it was just a matter of shock or the fact that he was so happy about it, it didn’t seem like as much of a big deal as it did a moment ago. It complicated things, but it seemed manageable now.
When his heavy arm settled around her, the weight felt good and natural, she leaned against him slightly. “Lingerie or not, it was not what I was expecting.” She sighed, her knees pulling up against her chest, one arm wrapping protectively around them while the other dropped to pat his leg. “I know you do. I feel the same way about you as I did. I just don’t know how I feel about the little ‘it’ that has taken up residence.”
Since it obviously wasn’t far enough along to tell the sex, calling the baby anything else felt like setting up for disappointment. She didn’t want to get her heart set on a boy or a girl and then have it come out the opposite. Jaxon looked at Pluto, her head tilting slightly.
“Why am I afraid?” His fingers brushed her ear and she couldn’t help the bit of sarcasm that came out. “I don’t know Pluto, the first thing I can think of? Look at you, you are huge and I am really not. I think it is safe to assume that at some point the little thing is going to get too big and just rip its way out like an alien…” She gave him a half smile, trying to lighten the impact her tone might have. She wasn’t mad at him, but it probably sounded like she was. Despite the smile, she was more than half afraid the scenario she just described might actually happen.
“What else? I’m a mutant and so are you. I have no idea what that is going to mean for the baby or what sort of effect that will have on me. What if the thing comes out shooting lasers out its eyes or something?” Though she didn’t actually anticipate that happening, it was a thought. Not the lasers thing, but the part about an infant with mutant powers. How do you teach a baby to control something like that?
And Jaxon was a mutant whose powers were mostly controlled by her emotions. The hormones that went along with pregnancy were bound to cause some problems. Since she had arrived in the arctic she had been working with the power that she had left, and stunted though it was, she was still capable of making a creature that could wreak havoc if not destruction.
And if the baby came out like Pluto…? “Oh god… What if it comes out with powers like yours? How do you discipline a kid with super-strength?” The more she thought about that aspect, the worse she felt. The other stuff wasn’t so bad, she could live with it even if it was hard, and she didn’t even care if it came out bright red with a tail… but how could she raise a child that didn’t listen to her and could lift her over it’s head without a blink? She couldn’t make Pluto do it every time. She had barely managed Jack who appeared human. “Let’s face it, my last one didn’t turn out very well, and he doesn’t have any powers so far...”
Flopping her head down on her arm she turned her eyes back to him. “I figured out why you are happy… You don’t have to give birth to something that will probably come out the same size as me.” She smiled softly, her mood caught somewhere between happy, scared, worried, and unsure, and none of the emotions were constant.
She chuckled when he mentioned Venus and the possible population. “You never know, maybe he just never heard about any of his kids.” Getting an idea, she smirked. “If anything I’m more surprised you aren’t super fertile. After all, Abyss made you guys and didn’t even need a female.” Chuckling, thinking of the brothers as some sort of self-reproducing slugs was amusing. Lifting her head she planted a kiss on his cheek. “Pluto, it isn’t that I’m unhappy about this… I am happy, but I feel like there are so many other things going on in my head right now that I can’t be just happy, I am all these other things at the same time. I don’t know if that makes any sense…”
~~“Lingerie or not, it was not what I was expecting.” “I know you do. I feel the same way about you as I did. I just don’t know how I feel about the little ‘it’ that has taken up residence.”
The grin remained on his face. He had a little it! he had a little it!
~~“Why am I afraid?” “I don’t know Pluto, the first thing I can think of? Look at you, you are huge and I am really not. I think it is safe to assume that at some point the little thing is going to get too big and just rip its way out like an alien…”
He raised his eyebrows and any other time that comment might have been answered with a lewd joke about not complaining about size before. Or maybe even his feelings getting hurt about his offspring being called a thing or compared to an alien. He then listened patiently as she went on in a bit faster anxious tone that left his mind to catch up with the words that she was saying.
~~“What else? I’m a mutant and so are you. I have no idea what that is going to mean for the baby or what sort of effect that will have on me. What if the thing comes out shooting lasers out its eyes or something?” “Oh god… What if it comes out with powers like yours? How do you discipline a kid with super-strength?” “Let’s face it, my last one didn’t turn out very well, and he doesn’t have any powers so far...” “I figured out why you are happy… You don’t have to give birth to something that will probably come out the same size as me.”
“ninety nine percent of the time mutation occurs after puberty and if the kid is actually like Abyss then the baby will come out around six or so pounds….which isn’t huge if I know my baby stuff…which I probably don’t.” His mind chimed off in how little he knew about babies and threatened to send him into a panicked state and made him want to go read everything he could find about them! but… no he had to stay sane at least until she was reassure/
“And you send a super strength preteen to their super strength father for discipline, also you won’t and will not be on your own with this child, I won’t be working against you I will be working with you to raise our baby. “
~~“You never know, maybe he just never heard about any of his kids.” “If anything I’m more surprised you aren’t super fertile. After all, Abyss made you guys and didn’t even need a female.”
He shook his head again. “actually Venus was surprisingly meticulous about keeping up with tracking any one he had been with for about nine months from their last encounter. Particularly for not being able to even call them back. But I digress. And as far as Abyss being my momma not quite but you know that. In fact you could say that for septuplets” the word was said with a question mark after it. “ we were the easiest birth you could imagine.”
~~ “Pluto, it isn’t that I’m unhappy about this… I am happy, but I feel like there are so many other things going on in my head right now that I can’t be just happy, I am all these other things at the same time. I don’t know if that makes any sense…”
“It does, I am sorry that there isn’t more things going on in my head.” He grinned and scooped her up cradling her and moving her shirt up with his tail. “hey kid. We love you.” He gave her belly a kiss then promptly wrinkled his nose at her belly and then gave it a raspberry.
“lets get you back off your feet and into bed. You need anything?” he said as he took his hostages up the stairs.

Six pounds wouldn’t be too bad, but it was hard to believe that Abyss hadn’t been bigger as a baby. Sometimes she forgot that they hadn’t always been giant red men. And after her brief time in the Sanctuary, she hadn’t had contact with mutants. Jaxon knew most people got their mutations when they were teens, but she had heard of babies being born with mutation, and hers had been unusual. But he was right.
Apparently Jaxon needed to be reeled back in. Odd, that she was the one over reacting while Pluto calmed her down, when she was the one that had done this before. Like he said, he would help her. She wasn’t on her own. Nodding along with him made her feel better so she did, listening with a light laugh when he talked about Venus and the idea of Abyss being Pluto’s mom. She had been thinking more like a slug or a cell that split, but the momma thing was more humorous.
At first when he scooped her up she shook her head, especially when he lifted her shirt, rolling her eyes thinking that he was trying something else. But when he started talking to her stomach she grinned, followed by a squeal of laughter when he blew a raspberry. “PLUTO!!! Ahhhahaha!” She squirmed at the slightly ticklish feeling.
When he started carting her back up to bed, she shook her head in response. “The only thing I need is sleep and a crystal ball. But a cuddle works for me.” She grinned, knowing she was perfectly fine in his arms. Having her own personal elevator was nice.
"Then cuddles you shall have." he got into the bed and with her and enveloped her in cuddle goodness, every so often nuzzling her cheek or ear with his face.
The next few weeks went like that. Any girls jealous about her made their peace with it, Jaxxon had won, game set match.
Time steadily moved forward and the bundle grew. Names were tossed back and forth and the child a was doomed to have or lucky to have parents that preferred creativity. The child would not be receiving a classical human name. though neither of them were so cruel as to name the child moon unit either. Time went buy and they learned as they went. Pluto studied baby information. Jaxon was held captive and forced to take it easy. sometimes whether she liked it or not.
((OOC: I’m doing a little more of the time warping. I didn’t get a chance to ask you, so let me know if it is too fast or whatever.))
Jaxon huffed from her position on the couch. Being treated like a princess had been fun for a while, but now she was getting a little bored and feeling a little useless. She had no idea how overprotective Pluto would get. She had caught up on her rest but she felt like she was turning into a blob.
Her belly, obviously pregnant on her frame, it wasn’t huge yet but it made her uncomfortable. So she messed with Pluto any way she could, turning a bit of his own humor on him, giving him a bit of trouble. She took walks, climbed the stairs, carried things, and tried to work. But Pluto had gotten to almost everyone, and most of them wouldn’t let her help out anymore.
So Jaxon tried to do things around the house, while she got as big as a house. And then she got bigger. Until finally she popped.
Jaxon whimpered as she struggled to sit up in bed, pressure in her abdomen familiar. It was one of two things, gas or contractions. She took a few deep breaths and for a moment she thought it was just gas. Until her water broke. “Oh no…. I hate this part.” Wincing, Jaxon began the process of getting out of bed.
( I was actually thinking the same thing seeing as we only have a few more days of fp)
Pluto grabbed a bag that they had packed and now just from the change of expression on her face he knew the time had finally come. AWESOME! a month or so of healing and Jax would be able to start doing some of the stuff she had been wanting to, it wasn't like he liked denying her anything she wanted even if it was for her own good. and then there was the fact that it was baby time, maybe he wouldn't have to try to tal her into to taking it easy, maybe baby would do that for him.
It surprised him how easy it was to talk Jaxon into doing this the mutant way. in the months that their baby had been growing in t he womb another doctor had showed. one that was very beneficial to them. a teleporter. He had delivered babies with his power, and without the epic stress that went onto the bodies of both baby and momma, he first tried it on a horse, that wasn't likely to survive the birth , and bother mare and foul survived he then tried it with a human mther in a similar situation she was going to have to have a c section and more than likely wouldn't survive the healing process due to altercations. He since then had successfully done the same here. mothers were more then happy to go for the less epically painful route, besides Tien was on sight for any healing needs.

Jaxon waddled to the bathroom, cleaning up slightly, before changing to go out in the winter weather. Looking something like the Michelin man, only rounder in the middle, she let Pluto hustle her out. She had been pleased that she wouldn’t have to go through the whole painful birthing process. The new doctor had become popular in the colony, and Jaxon was not going to do things the hard way when she could do it the easy way.
When they got to the clinic they called the new doctor and led Jaxon to a small room where she could lay down for the process. In the short period of waiting for the doctor, contractions stretched over her belly and around her back, her body trying to push downward on the infant inside her. She had chosen to keep the sex of the baby a secret from herself, so it would be a surprise what popped out.
But somewhere underneath the feeling of labor, there was another feeling. Something Jaxon couldn’t quite identify. It was almost like when she was about to wake up, that time of twilight sleep when she was half awake and half asleep, somewhat confused and caught between reality and dreaming.
After the feeling didn’t go away, Jaxon turned worried eyes on Pluto, her voice nervous. “I think something is wrong, I feel strange…”
"I feel it too. It'll be ok, "he said to her and the repeated for the baby. " It will be ok." one hand held Jaxons and he relaxed his hand as much as he could to let her try and hurt him, it was supposed to be therapeutic for mothers.
The doctor rushed in with Tien who all looked a bit intrigued and a little tense. but they both went into professional mode imediately. "Ok everybody this will be nice and easy, no need for tension, You'll have your baby in a moment."
PLuto Leaned in and kissed Jaxon on the top of the head and soon became a pillar of calm. He wouldn't let any agitation show there even though there was something very odd going on....was his child really already a mutant as Jaxon had feared?
Was he or she enough of a mutant to have them all feeling edgy?

Squeezing his hand throughout the contractions, still not extremely strong but painful, she nodded. If Pluto was feeling it too maybe it was just nervous energy. Nodding again, reassuring herself, she gave the doctor a shaky smile when he came in and a wave to Tien. “Hey…”
Feeling the slight pressure of his kiss, Jaxon looked up with a inhale, focusing on Pluto as the Doctor laid his hands on her belly. A swirling feeling started under her belly button, almost like water going down a drain or a strange suction of a vacuum. For a moment she imagined a tiny black hole forming and she laughed, but the laugh was cut short by a contraction.
Wincing, Jaxon didn’t notice the whooshing in her ears, too focused on the pull of the doctor on her baby. As if the doctor’s powers triggered something, the edges of her vision began to get a white fog, her mind feeling the same sort of suction as her belly. Only slightly different. It was as if her life were being caught in a funnel and swirled back to a smaller point.
Ignoring it, focusing on relaxing so the doctor could work, she felt another pull and almost a pop. Then, the doctor had an infant in his hands. Unknown tension seeped out of her and she flopped the few inches back to the bed. But the strange feeling remained, the white fog still creeping, but more slowly now that the transporter’s powers weren’t working on her.
Looking to the doctor, her vision so narrow by now that she had to turn her head, she held her breath. Then a moment later she heard the crying and sighed. “What is it?”
The doctor smiled, having handed the infant over to Tien to clean it up while he placed his hands on her again, cleaning out the rest of the birthing fluids and membranes. “It’s a girl. I’ll be done in a moment and you can hold her.”
Shaking her head she squeezed Pluto’s hand again. “No, something is wrong with me… My eyes, my head… Something is wrong…”
The doctor looked surprised. Then he began scanning her. “What?” He seemed worried, and Jaxon could tell that he found something, but didn’t know what it was. After seeing that expression Jax’s other hand came up to wrap around the Pluto’s, scared.
“I changed my mind. I want to hold her…” If something was wrong, with her or the infant, Jaxon wanted to hold the baby. “I want to hold her now…!” Her voice was edging towards frantic and she was shifting under the doctor’s hands.
((OOC: I made the baby a girl, just cause I thought Pluto with a little girl was cute. Hope that is fine.Whee for babies!))
Pluto shook his head, a mist was rolling about in the room it was almost how he pictured his dreams beginning? was that different for everyone. Jaxon called up urgently and squeezed his hand making him focus a bit more on this. PLuto breathed out a long sigh. " It's all ok." He smiled as the little girl wailed into life, Little and pink, and wildly loud for such a little thing. five fingers, five fingers, five toes five toes, a girl. He smiled more, his life had only gotten better since he came back home to the arctic.
A small piece of his mind and memoryseemed to zip off to the past. the mist and fog zipped away and he was back to normal. He tilted his head and nodded to the doctor as the man gently handed over there little girl. she was now wrapped in a little blnket and woud be kept warm she looked fine.
" was that a bit easier, then last time?" PLuto smiled she hadn't even needed to curse at him, Tien whispered and laughed still getting used to the fantastic ease that Melbourne worked. That was the teleporters name. He could also remove cancer's something Tien couln't do, between the two of them, well the Artic could very well be immune to anything that came their way and then some.
He smiled down to Jaxon. " What is her name my dear." They had settled on a boys name, but a girls name was up in the air. He was sure Jaxon had a favorite but she didn't want to step on her toes. "everything is fine.just calm down, she is in your arms. and you both are in mine. you both couldn't be more safe."
Pluto had never felt more profoundly calm or protective in his life. Nothing, and he meant nothing woul harm either of them so long as he lived. Melbourne added on to Pluto's reassurance." All of your readings are great and the same goes for the little lady. Tien, do you have anything to add to that?"
Tien shook her head and then smiled, "except that she is adorable and you are glowing!" She smiled at her friend, Jaxon had been great to get to know over the past months.
(Pluto became conscious in cp in this post. so everything from her out he won't know and will just be fp Pluto, so expect him to be asking the baby's name, he saw she was a a girl.)
