The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

~“You know very well how you got that nickname, so don’t pretend…”
“I have no Idea what you are talking about!” He playfully insisted as he began to raid his fridge.
~“Well, I’m sorry you didn’t get it the way you wanted, but I can’t argue with the results.”
“fair enough I suppose. Though you should know better to tell me that I shouldn’t pretend and that I can’t argue so close to one another.”
~~“I will take this one, if you have no preference.”
“Nah, I have lived in both so I will just clear out whatever room you want and move it to the other.” he grinned. “ Most of my clothes are hanging in the laundry closet anyhow, so it wont take long.” He laughed “Bachelors purgative.”
“I’d rather help or watch. Make sure you don’t put anything vile on the poor pizza.”
“Vile! I hope you don’t take me for the kind of guy that would put fish on pizza, and if you do I have to question why you’d let yourself stay with such a foul creature? Veggies, meat, hold the fungus and the fruit. Unless you like either of them and unlike a pizzeria, we can make a pizza to suit us, if you want some variety.”
~~“What can I do?”
“You want to chop chop veggies? Or help me knead the dough? Hope you don’t mind doing this from scratch, most stuff is scratch down here, though we do keep canned good and other stuff on hand for emergencies.”
He got out a chopping board and then flour eggs slices of meat and all the options for whatever she wanted to make.
“We don’t have to go supreme, I am just showing you all your options.”
His ‘bachelor prerogative’ made Jaxon smile. She didn’t see how it was easier, but it seemed like lots of guys lived the same way, so he wasn’t that strange. “Well, I’m glad I’m not taking your room…” She watched him move around the kitchen easily and joined him.
She nodded at his pizza choices, glad he didn’t have odd tastes. “I am in full agreement, no fish, no fruit. Those things do not belong on pizza… and for you I will give up the fungus.” Though Jaxon liked mushrooms on pizza she was perfectly happy without them if he didn’t.
“Let’s do supreme, meat and veggies are the best.” Thankfully he was okay with vegetables, because Jaxon thought supreme sounded wonderful. Hadn’t had it in a while, but if she was going to have pizza, she wanted the works. And making it from scratch was fine with her. She was breaking her old habits and tarting fresh after all. Just like this pizza.
It had been a long time since she had done some real cooking, not just store bought supplies combined. She rolled her sleeves up out of the way and washed her hands, before joining him to look at the spread he had.
Looking at the supplies he laid out, she motioned at the dough. “I think punching some dough would be very therapeutic for me.” She grinned, organizing things in front of her before looking up at him. Pushing the bag of flour towards him, she popped the egg carton, palming an egg and sprinkling yeast in the bowl. “Shall we?” She grinned, laughter in her voice, and looked up at him.
He simply laughed at her comment, she seemed like she was thinking he was odd, and that was just they way he liked it.
~~“I am in full agreement, no fish, no fruit. Those things do not belong on pizza… and for you I will give up the fungus.”
“Oh I still have some mushies around, they just usually make the list with the pinapple and the minnows.” He popped over to the fridge and right back and then plopped a little container of chopped portabellas.
~~“I think punching some dough would be very therapeutic for me.” “Shall we?”
“Alrighty champ, lets get this rolling.” He got some disinfecting whips and and scrubbed the counter really quick and then dried it off with a wash clothe. He then poured two handfuls of Flour looked at and then poured a third. He looked at Jaxon and grinned. Stuck his thumb in the powered and smudged it across her cheek. “Sorry, I wasn’t going to be able to get anything done until I got that out of the way.”
“So the good thing about doing it by trial and error is we don’t have to clean measuring stuff and we get more pizza for every time we have to balance it out.”
“and if punching the dough doesn’t get the therapy you want I am sure chopping some veggies will get it done.” He switched the chopping knife out for a large butcher knife.
She was surprised when he pulled out some mushrooms, but would happily eat them. He prepped the counter and she watched with amusement, grinning when he called her champ. She was about to comment on his measuring style, a laugh in her expression, over not wanting to wash. She was about to ask how much he was planning to make when Pluto put flour on her face.
Her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open, mock outrage on her face. “Did you just…?”
She grinned, biting her lip, and touching her face. “You DID!” Tapping a finger in the edge of the pile of flour, she put a smear of the powder on his nose. Giving him a smug look she dabbed some more flour on her finger and gave him a speculative look.
Tilting her head, showing the cheek without any flour, she quirked an eyebrow up in challenge. "You going to make the other side match?"
He laughed in response much like a child that had been caught doing something and not caring.
~~“You DID!”
“Of course I did, it was a matter of productivity I say!”
He wiggled his nose at her several times as she applied the powder to his nose.
~~"You going to make the other side match?"
“I just might.” He said. “but we have pizza to make, we need a couple of eggs and some baking powder.” He said almost business like. The second she looked away or gave him the chance he would be making the other cheek match.
“Productivity…?” Narrowing her eyes when he didn’t take the bait, wondering what he had planned, she suppressed a laugh when he moved his nose. It was surprisingly cute on him.
When he acted like he wasn't going to retaliate, simply talking about making the pizza, she was surprised. She was still suspicious but he was acting like he was going to behave.
Jaxon glanced away and reached for the eggs, but then as she pulled the carton closer she watched him. But he was behaving, so she pulled out a few eggs holding them towards him, and reached for the baking powder.
“We got to eat don’t we? And if we want to eat, we have to make it, so we can cook it, so we can eat it.”
It was about the time she held the eggs toward him, He secured the eggs in both of their hands before he pounced. While she was going for the baking powder two long lines of Flour mysteriously appeared on her cheek.
“Opps, you are off balance again,” he held out a single finger waiting for her to respond so he could properly even her up. His stomach protested at the lolly gagging but his mischief had always taken first place in his life and always would. If he had mischief his life would sustain.
A wide mocking grin was smeared across his now impish face.
“That’s true, we do need to eat.” Jaxon felt his hand on hers, taking the eggs from her she thought. But he only held them there, and she learned why. To keep her from using them on him. He managed to get two more streaks on her face and she scrunched her face at him.
Picking up the closed box of baking powder she shook it at him as menacingly as a 5’3” woman could. Rolling her eyes, she plopped the box down, and turned to face him with a playful sigh. “Go ahead, you flour beast, I’ll get you back later.” She grinned, tilting her face up so that he could put another steak of flour on her.
She gave him a casual smile."I only do this for your stomach and mine..." The hand not trapped with his and the eggs, settled on the counter near the flour with the same sort of sneakiness that he had been using.
~~ “Go ahead, you flour beast, I’ll get you back later.”
“I have no doubt of that.” He said cracking the four eggs only using his fingers and pressure splitting the shells and dumping the eggs on the mound of flour.and then mizzing it up with his fingers, he preferred his cooking with a mess.
~~“I only do this for your stomach and mine..."
“ Somebody has to think of the stomachs, if you don’t who will?”
He was ready and willing to take what ever return fire she had coming to him this war apparently called for minor offense and no resistance, it was amusing but somehow those were the rules.
He began to mix and need the dough as she prepared her move. If his tail was in working order he might keep her at a length.

Watching him crack the shells, she grinned, picking a piece of shell out of the flour, before joining him in the hand mixing. Digging her hands in the mixture, it started out slimy and slowly got closer to resembling dough. Using the back of her hand to brush a bit of hair back, she smudged the marks he had put on her face and she was starting to look like a mess, much like when children help their parents cook.
With a grin she nudged him with her elbow, “You think of the stomachs, I’ll think of revenge…” With that as all his warning, she pulled one hand out of the dough and left a moist trail on his jaw. She tossed her head back and laughed at the sight of the big red mutant with a streak of dough on his face.
Plunging her hand back into the dough, knowing his own revenge wasn’t far behind, she gave it a punch, and started folding and kneading the mix together. Jaxon gave the dough a few more little punches and grinned. This was fun!
~~“You think of the stomachs, I’ll think of revenge…”
His reply was simple laughter as she exacted the revenge to the revenge of the revenge’s revenge. “This is turning into a nasty cycle.” He said as he started to knead the dough “I’m just glad we haven’t gotten into making the sauce yet.” Was that a warning, a threat, or a simple remark? She would have to just wait and see. He began to go on a different tangent before the whole pizza was destroyed and their house was an absolute mess. “I can’t wait until night fall and I can show you the skylight. It is gorgeous, if you thought you knew what a starry night sky looked at you will be educated tonight.”
He kneaded the bread and remembered not to apply too much pressure and destroy the consistency. Though when they were ready to make the sauce he would get to employ his strength a bit more. The dough was coming along nicely.

Jaxon nodded in agreement. It really was becoming a cycle of messiness, and at the thought of the sauce, she groaned. There was going to be more food on them than on the pizza if this kept up."Truce? At least until we eat?” Jaxon grinned, following his rhythm until they were synchronized, kneading the dough together.
His comment about the stars made Jaxon smile. She could hardly wait to see it."If it is as amazing as you make it sound, I might never sleep in my room!” That would be interesting, sleeping under the skylight and seeing the stars when she opened her eyes. Or seeing a sunset through it, watching the sky change, without the interruption of skyscrapers and sounds of New York traffic.
"So, what do we have to do to make sauce? ” Jaxon was imagining standing over a big pot stirring ingredients until it looked like the red sauce she knew.
“until we are eating or until we are done eating?”
~~“If it is as amazing as you make it sound, I might never sleep in my room!”
He smiled knowingly. “Thus, the I usually sleep up there comment, I don’t do it on purpose, but the stars are too much to resist sometimes. Do you snore?” he smirked.
~~"So, what do we have to do to make sauce? ”
“Well I will handle the tomatoes, Can you slice and dice?” He grabbed a clove of garlic, a bell pepper, a small shaker of oregano and a small onion. “You can take or leave any of that also if you want to sneak some of the fungus in there, since we are doing a supreme it could work.”
He then pulled out a big bag of tomatoes and began chopping the ends of them off, after that he got out a big zip lock bag, putting a couple of the tomatoes in at a time. He would close the bag ninety percent of the way and put the tomatoes between his hands and compact them until they were a liquid mess, some he squished into oblivion then others he would leave almost looking like a tomato. After he was finished he dumped the mess into a metal pan and set it to boil on the oven. Which while he was there he began to preheat the oven.
“ I still think tomato sauce might be the best use of the super strength.”

With a smile, Jaxon edited her previous statement, “Okay, truce until we are both fed and not using food as our weapons…” At his snoring comment she turned her head to look at him slightly, then rolled her eyes and shook her head in response. “I guess you will have to find out.”
Taking the food items he gave her, she started sliding the knife through them. Pausing to watch him with the tomatoes, she could help the short burst of laughter at his technique. How uniquely Pluto. Still grinning over it, she finished the mushrooms and the peppers, taking them over to him and dropping them in the pot.
Doing the onion next, careful to keep from breathing through her nose, she got through the onion with only one small tear, but managed to wipe it with her rolled sleeve. Finishing the garlic as well, she scooped it all up on the cutting board and pushed it into the pot.
Watching him fiddle with the knobs on the oven, she grinned and picked up a wooden spoon to stir the mixture. “I think tomato sauce is an excellent use of your skills. I’ve never seen it done that way before, but I think I might try it myself some time…” Jaxon would probably end up using a rolling pin or a frying pan to mash the tomatoes, but it still looked more fun to do it that way than that usual.
~~ “Okay, truce until we are both fed….will have to find out.”~~
“I guess I will rustle up some earplugs just in case and if we don’t use food for weaponry what are we supposed to use? Or do I have to figure that out too? I suppose pillows will have to do.”
~~“I think tomato sauce is an excellent use of your skills. I’ve never seen it done that way before, but I think I might try it myself some time…”
“Looks good, your mincy choppy work isn’t shabby at all. I think I may have to keep you.” He nodded to himself. He glanced at her feet and laughed. “Just to clarify, I don’t mean that in the barefoot and in the kitchen way, pregnant or otherwise.”
He looked at the oven and noted the time in his head and started approximating what would take how long.
“Mmmkay now we have a bit of waiting to do, We can take our time with the meat and the veggies it will take a bit for the own to get all the way heated up and the sauce to get thick enough though it can thicken while it is on the pizza as well. We can do pasta tomorrow if you don’t mind Italian two nights in a row, of course we can do it late on in the week as well, but the sauce is better fresher I. M. H. O.” Where did he pick up that habit he needed to kill it, but sometimes the internet speak crossed over into his everyday language. “Erhmmm, in my honest opinion.”
He casually grabbed a long tube of Pepperoni and began slicing it thinly. “Whatever you want on it feels free to start making it into a topping. Last will be the cheese shredding I think. This is going a lot quicker with a partner in crime.”
