The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Cecelia took in the story and her eyes grew wide. Her story was nothing like that. She sat silently and thought his story over. She was amazed that his parents had been so harsh. She thought that parents would love their children despite their differences. "Wow." That was all she could say.
He had looked away as he told his story. He had not embellished any of it, or exagerated anything. In fact he had left out some of it, his 'brutal' past where he had learned the harder knocks of his chosen martial arts. And where he had really come to the realization of his healing abilities. "Yeah..." He answered her 'wow' with. "Rough. Though things can be interpretted as looking up."

"True. Things can only get better when life is down." Cecelia said, remembering what her grandfather used to say all the time. She played with a strand of her hair again and looked around. The area was pretty and no one would think that so many troubled pasts lived on these grounds. However, even if the past was bad, the future was bright.
He gave a nod to that. Even if his first couple weeks here had resulted in the most blood he had ever shed before. And possibly the loss of his first friend here... there was always the chance she would come out of it. Things could only look up from that point, right?
"For the most part." He stated, rather quietly, and decided not to add onto that statement with a pessimistic view.

"Yeah." She replied. She could feel the tension in the air as they both thought of the downside about being a mutant. Not liking the tension, Cecelia did what she always did when she needed to relax. She opened her mouth and began to sing. She started out with a few notes then started singing an Italian ballad.
He nodded, and fell silent, feeling the tension build between them. Being a mutant had upsides and downsides, and likely was not proper for small talk. Especially with such a cheerful person as Cecelia. He was quite glad when she shattered the brittle tension with her voice. A delightful reprieve from the tension that had built washed out as she sang. He did not know the words, nor did he entirely care. He certainly could recognize it as beautiful, even without the hypnotizing effect of her mutation. He merely let his head lay back against the side of the fountain and drank in the sound with his eyes closed.

As her ballad continued, she closed her eyes and imagined herself back at home on the farm, dancing in the fields in her favorite sundress. Due to her thoughts, Cecelia felt herself pulling herself to her feet. She slipped off her heels and while singing her song, she started to dance on the soft grass. She made long, fluid motions and extended her body, making her rise and give herself an even more slender look. She did a few ballet movements, balancing on almost nothing. She did a few turns but mostly stuck with fluid motions. She never missed a note.
Raphael drew his breaths slow and deep, listening to Cecelia's ballad, his mind wandering to a time some five years past. Before he had been 'exiled' by his family. And well before he had brought pain to so very many people in the ring. He could hear Cecelia get up from beside him, and opened his eyes a moment. He then hoped she did not mind his watching her dance. Her body fluid and lithe. He could mimic such movements, certainly, though he was more at home performing a more aerial dance. A type of dance that would certainly not be suitable for her coursing fluid ballad. And while he was tempted, almost drawn, to dance with her, he resisted the urge and remained at his silent, pleasant, watchful vantage point.

The song still spilling from her lips, Cecelia started to do more acrobatic movements. She put both her hands on the ground and went to balance herself in a handstand. After making sure she was balanced, she bent her right leg then extended it at a 90 degree angle. She leaned forward, her right leg touching the ground then she pushed herself up onto just her right foot. She then did a backbend, letting her hands once again hold her up as her legs left the ground and flipped over her.
As she finished her song, she put her feet back on the ground and kneeled close to the ground. She took in a deep breath and smiled. She looked over at Raphael, only to see him looking back at her. Cecelia blushed and let out a chuckle. "Enjoy?"
He gave a small nod, followed by a quiet "uh huh". Then shook himself some, and pushed up from off the ground. "Yeah... you're very talented... though I've said that before." He walked the short distance to her. "Did not know you knew the basics of acrobatics..." He still felt good from her song and nodded. "I cannot wait to practice with you... you're so fluid, and supple... and it would seem, flexible as well... you'll make an excellent student..." He gave a small nod, standing right next to her now, and not even realizing he had crossed the distance. "Sure there aren't any other talents you've got but not mentioned?" He asked with the most pleasant of smiles.
Skoliro had been watching from a far tree. The two had been there for some time and he was starting to wounder why. He had caught a voice coming from the woman. It was strong, and beautiful. He decided to fly in. He tried to push his wings through the slits but realized that he didn't have the right hoodie on. Puling off his shirt first. He jumped from the tree and flew over to the two.

"Thanks and I think that's all my talents." She could feel that her melody still hung in the air. She popped her fingers and stood straight. She put more weight on her right hip, also putting her right hand on her hip. She had noticed the distance between them had shortened greatly. She smiled and shifted a bit. "So, what else is there to do around this big mansion?"
He smiled at her, his flirtatious side contemplating just how best to answer that question when Skoliro landed next to them, and he chose to answer that question first. "Yes it is, only doubled by this lovely young woman here." He stated, nodding to Cecelia, he directed his next statement to her. "Well... there is plenty of sheer space to explore... inside and out. The grounds are enormous. There's the kitchen, living room, danger room, library, all in doors. And the gardens, pool, fountain here, as well as plenty of space to just walk and talk."

She looked at the man who had shown up and waved. As Raphael listed off the different places of the mansion, she nodded a few times. When the new man spoke again, she blushed. She smiled and nodded. "Hello to you as well. My name's Cecelia Montarou. You are?" She held out her hand to shake his.
