The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tythan stumbled over the curb as he came up to the gate he had been searching all over the city for. Whoops he thought gotta be a little bit more careful. He looked at the gate, Ok, great. I got here. Now what. There were voices coming from inside and he considered calling out, but then noticed an intercom button on the wall. Oh, well that's handy. He pushed the intercom, "Uh....Hello.....Is anyone there.......This is the Xavier Institute right?" No answer. He tried again, "Helloooo, anybody there?" Still no answer. Argh. Well, if i no one's gonna answer, i'll try to get in myself. Alrighty then focus. Put your hand on the wall. Now ram into it and hope that you merge with it. He touched the wall, drew back, focused as best he could and rammed into it. Unfortunately, the wall didn't want to accept the fact that he was a mutant and he fell to the ground with an audible thud. "Boy, that was stupid. I think i'll just wait for someone to come." He lay on the ground, no energy to get up. After a short while, he got up again, ready to attempt the unresponsive intercom again. He leaned against the gate for support, and promptly merged with it. Oh great, now its working, he thought. Luckily, disjoining himself from something required far less effort. He focused and found himself stumbling on the other side of the gate. He landed with another thud, this time on his front rather than his back. Well, that went well , he thought. This time, he stayed on the ground, Who cares if i look like an idiot, i made it, that's what matters.
Marley was out and about walking the mansion grounds simply passing the time by on a beautiful spring afternoon. His head was shifting left and right as he took in the sites etching a mental map in his head of the mansions yard, ’Mehbeh sum soccah could get played out ear or……….’ The mutants thoughts were distracted when he had heard a loud clear thud noise. Like a body had fell or something. Deciding to go check it out Marley lightly jogged making his way to the location of where the sound was heard.
When he had arrived he had come across a body lying lifelessly on the ground and the island native stood a good six feet away from him. Was he dead or was he a drunk? Did this person need help or was it a trap? And how did they get pass the mansion gates? Marley wasn’t the type to just up and reach out to help someone so instead the giant mutant barked irately at the corpse in a hostile-esque tone, ”Eh! Eh! Whah tah are yah all ah-bout mon. I don’t kno how yah got pass dee gates, but uh can yah leave kihnd-lay.” What the Jamaican had said sounded more like a threat and if the newcomer wanted to flex muscles, Well Marley hadn’t fought in a while so he was open to the idea.

Someone was talking to him and they sounded threatening, but he couldn't quite understand what they were saying. He then realized that this person was speaking with a jamaican accent, and managed to catch the last of what they said, "don’t kno how yah got pass dee gates, but uh can yah leave kihnd-lay" Tythan responded, "Huh, wazzat?? oh, hi, sorry, uh, i just heard that was a safe place for people like, well, you and me. and then i came and no one answered the buzzer, so i rammed into the wall and that didn't work and then i....uh.....sorry, i'm rambling. NIce to meet ya big guy, the names Tythan. you don' t happen to know who i can see about staying here do ya?"

Marley had a thoughtful look on his face as the mutant explained his current dilemma. It was weird when Marley had buzzed in on the intercom someone had responded immediately. The massive mutant’s guess as to why Tythan didn’t receive a greeting promptly was most likely because everyone was busy doing something. Looking about left and right to see if anyone else was around Marley waved the guy over, ”Yah, I kno sumbod-day dat cahn help yah.”
Marley had wonder where CS was at and then he wondered were there other mansion greeters. It had to be and since the Jamaican his self didn’t know too much about the mansion he would at least lead the wonderer in the right direction.

"Hey thanks a lot. I've been travelling for about a month and i'm so glad that i finally found this place. And then this one time.....oh right, i'm rambling again, you don't exactly need to hear my lifes story. What's you're name?" Tythan mentally kicked himself for once again going off onto a tangent. Why do i talk so much? and to people I hardly know for that matter??? he thought and then waited for whatever came next.

Marley waved off his rambling in friendly gesture as to say it was alright. Walking up the private drive the colossal mutant began to speak and hoped that Tythan would follow, ”Rahmble on mon weh all cohm from differ-ant wahlks of life. Its good tah ear differ-ant stories. An meh name is Marley Higgins. If yah was wondur-in meh moo-ant powah is supah strength. Soh how long have yah been trahvelin for? An whahs yah powah? Doe yah don’t have tah ansah dat if yah don’t wahnt to. ” Marley had looked back at Tythan as he had asked the questions awaiting a response from the wonderer.

Tythan followed Marely up the driveway as the big mutant talked. Once he finished, Tythan proceeded to give his life story or at least part of it. "Well, i grew up in a small town in Alberta Canada. I have twin brothers and a sister, all older than me. But that's about all you need to know from that part of my life. Basically, once my powers were out in the open, i left. Well actually i left after a week at the hospital, but the point is, i left. It wasn't that my family shunned me or anything. It was just sort of weird, you know? After they found out. Anyways, like i said, i've been travelling for about a month now, hitchiking and whatnot. I heard about this place and figured it was really the only place i could actually live without constant fear of discovery...Oh, right, my power. Well it's sort of hard to explain. I can i guess merge with things. I become part of them and if they are already in motion, i can control them and stuff. I can also pass through things by merging and ...uh...unmerging." Tythan smiled sheepishly at the big mutant. He had definitely rambled there. That was something to work on. He looked around at the mansion for the first timeWow....I'm actually here!
((OOC: hope you don't mind me joining. I really wanted to meet you guys! ))
"Rhys?" A woman's voice called out across the Mansion grounds. There seemed to be no direction to the words and no point of origin except perhaps the slight trickle of wind that played across the grass. "Rhys, I thought you were minding the store, why are you back early?" A silvery wisp of fog rushed around Marley and Tythan tugging at Tythan's clothes and picking and pulling them toward the Mansion gate. The swirling fog hesitated at Marley stopping to ruffle through his dreads before a quick "Oh!" sounded around them.
Ghost retracted herself. The wisp of fog grew and condensed some paces away from the pair. She was lanky for a girl and boasted very few curves, long legs, an equally long torso, and a boy-style haircut. Despite her lack of obvious feminine charm, she was in fact a girl. White hair and pale skin, her bare feet drifted just off the ground half see-through. She for all purposes appeared as her namesake: a ghost.
"Are you Marley?" Sam had been telling her about the Jamaican and how she needed to meet him. Fingers of breeze brushed along the man's massive frame and picked at the dreadlocks once more to make sure her poor visual senses weren't mistaking the clues. People that Ghost did not know well were often mistaken for others... as she was currently doing to Tythan.
"初めまして, Mister Marley. I hope to see you around the Mansion again." The see-through sylph dipped her head politely before turning to Tythan. "Come on Rhys, let's go. I can't believe you would leave early." Though she was still kind about it, Ghost scolded the stranger for something he had no connection to at all. "This is going to come out of your pay." She muttered as invisible fingers of air that almost felt solid closed around one of Tythan's hands and pulled gently.

Rhys, who's rhys? Tythan thought as the newcomer continued to scold this imaginary person that seemed to be nowhere in sight. Maybe she's delusional..... As she grabbed his wrist with invisible fingers of air, a sensation that was odd to say the least (he still wasn't quite used to be surrounded by other mutants), he finally made the connection. Oh!, she thinks I'm Rhys. She must have me confused for someone else. "Uh, miss. You must have me confused for someone else." he said looking at the girls pale white face, "My name's Tythan and i just arrived here at the mansion. If you want, i can help you find this Rhys after i get settled. You see, i've been travelling for about a month and.....oh right, you don't need to hear my life story right now either....Uh......so......what's your name?" Tythan blushed slightly, he really had to work on his rambling. It was odd, he never used to talk a lot. Maybe it was just because he'd hardly talked to anyone beyond casual greeting for the past month.
The slight whisper of the voice that carried through the air had distressed Marley a bit. Well not just a bit a lot actually the Giant form had froze in his steps. He just happened to be one of those superstitious types and believe just about every conspiracy or myth that had ever been shown on T.V. Which currently was the cause of his heighten paranoia at present. When his dreads had been windswept he looked about in every direction, ”Oh mon. I kne-“ Marley had been stopped mid-sentence when the ghostly figured had formed right before his eyes.
>> "Are you Marley?"
Marley looked over to Tythan and pointed over to Tythan thinking that Ghost was some vengeful spirit, ”Dats Marley.” He had a weak smile thinking that it would hopefully show the phantom like form that he was friendly. Marley then thought about it and realized that he was at a mansion full of mutants. He had smacked his self on the forehead, ”Say I taught yah wahs ah ghost. But I don’t tink yah are one. Are yah?...............Any way I’m Marley.” He had said pointing his index finger directly into his chest.
>>"初めまして, Mister Marley. I hope to see you around the Mansion again."
Marley had a perplexed look on his face, ”Whah did yah say?” Marley just shrugged it off maybe he would ask Shin what that had meant. He then began to speak again, ”Of course yah will see meh ahround. Where yah goin to so fast? Whah’s dah rush.” He then noticed ghost referring to Tythan as Rhys? Who was that? Marley just shrugged that off as well.
Then it seemed Marley had snapped out a dream when Tythan had finished speaking, ”Hey uh………..Where do I take dis guy tah get ah room an stuff like Sam had done fo meh?” He had asked the white haired girl wondering if she knew.

((OOC: If ya don't want me here, just lemme know. I'll remove the post later. Otherwise, here we go!))
Gabe stepped outside, and stopped at the bottom of the porch steps. He walked out on to the grounds, just getting fresh air. He didn't come outside alot, and he hadn't really met THAT many people since he'd moved here. It had been awhile since he'd spoke with Tarin or Lee, and he was thinking about trying to get ahold of one of them.
As Gabe continued down the walk way, he heard a very distinct accent. An accent that just so happened to be in a conversation with someone who rambled. Alot. And a female voice. Telling the rambling boy to come with her. And the rambling boy looked absolutely confused. Gabe walked up to the three of them, only to find he could see through the girl in the equation.
"New here? I've never seen any of you before. I'm Gabe."
"Uh, miss. You must have me confused for someone else."
An insubstantial head tilted to teh side. "You're not... oh! I'm so sorry!" The unseen fingers retracted and the air pressure around Tythan became almost palpable as she carefully explored his features. "You're right, oh dear.' The pressure let off within a few seconds and breathing became simple again.
Marley seemed wigged and that started to tickle Ghost. At first it had bothered her that people often were first afraid of her, but they were Mansion people, they would know her soon enough to not be scary in the least. "I am Ghost. Did I not say that?" She scratched her white hair sensing a disturbance in the air behind them. Funny, in some way her senses were better and in other ways worse. "Incoming." She warned them with a smile so that Marley would not be too surprised. Jumpy fellow.
"This guy that is not Rhys? I can help you with that, Marley, if you so please." She dipped her head again. "Teeth? Tithan? What was that name again?"
And the newcomer introduced himself as Gabe. Ghost increased the air pressure around him as well, a stifling few seconds of thick and heavy air that just as quickly lifted when she sighed. "I've been working too hard if I don't know any of you! I gotta see this." She drifted away a few paces and began the process of becoming solid. Hopefully no one got the bright idea to stick their hand through her as she did so.
Seconds ticked by as she pulled and condensed her form more and more until finally she came into her weight and her toes touched down on the grass.

Throughout the whole conversation, the air pressure seemed to change. It was weird. Some weather anomaly or something. Anyways, another person had arrived and introduced himself as Gabe. By now, though, Tythan had pretty much tuned out every thing around him. He was good at that. Of course when asked a question, that could be a problem, but for the most part it was helpful. From what he did catch though, he figured that somehow or another, he was most likely going to be able to stay here. "Ok, so anyways, about meeting someone about staying here. Is that happening or something. And nice to meet you Gabe, the names Tythan."
Marley had chuckled a bit as Ghost had finally realized that Tythan wasn’t the person who she thought he was. Then she had identified herself as being called ‘Ghost’. Marley knew that could not have been her real name and probably was her alias that everyone here at the mansion had called her. However, what a befitting name to what she was capable of doing.
>> "Incoming." Was all Marley had heard Ghost say and the Jamaican like second nature had took cover ducking. He then looked about his surroundings until an alien voice spoke out and he had rotated his large frame to face them, but not before he had looked towards the pair before him shaking his head in embarrassment.
>>"New here? I've never seen any of you before. I'm Gabe."
Marley nodded his head up and down, ”Yah I’m fair-lay new. Bout ah week now since I been ear. Oh an dah name is Marley Higgins.” The behemoth had introduced himself to newcomer who called his self Gabe, ”Oh ahn nice tah meet yah.” Marley had added.
>>"This guy that is not Rhys? I can help you with that, Marley, if you so please."
Marley shook his head in sorrow for how Ghost had butchered Tythan’s name. He then proceeded to speak, ”Yah dat would beh much ahppreciated.” Marley stated. His awareness then went back to Tythan as he had seemed impatient, but he probably would react the same if he was wondering for as long as he had, ”Yah mon weh gonnah get yah squared ahway soon.” He reassured the wonderer.

"Thanks a lot." tythan replied and gazed expectantly at the mansion door as if expecting it to burst open with all the possibilities for him that lay within. A new life, and a safe haven where he could learn about what he was and what he could do.
