The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

[So this is it. Emerald thought to herself as she stood outside the front gate of the institute. The young wolf girl looked at the gates in slight awe, she had finally arrived after all this time. She had been through allot to be finally be able to get here on her own, in relatively good shape. Her tail wagged back and forth in anticipation.
Her crimson hair blew in the breeze as she rang the doorbell waiting for an answer. Emerald hugged her jacket closer to her body in order to keep warm, her clothes were not in the best condition in the world but they were enough to keep her somewhat warm.
(ooc: i cant believe you made another thread!! >.< lol)
*Tricity made her way down from the second floor to meet a new girl at the front gates. She tied her hair up into a bun on the top of her head. Johnathon greeted her as she came over to the security station to view the television screens. She leaned over the teenage boy's shoulder and saw the red head standing there.* "Well, another mutant with a tail. That seems to be quite popular with your generation, Johnathon." john: "Indeed...I like it. It's kind of sexy." *He said, grinning ear to ear at her.* "OH GROSS! Come on, John..." *Tricity slapped him in the back of the head and then went around to the front hall, opening the large double doors. She made her way across the grass and came to the front gate, mentally shutting off. It swung open and Tricity smiled at the perspective resident.* "Hi! My name is Delilah Rose Tipper or as some of the older residents call me, Tricity. You can call me Ms. Tipper though. What's your name?"
Emerald had only waited for a few seconds before someone came out to meet her. Emerald smiled lightly and the girl's introduction this was the first time she had been greeted warmly in a while. Normally, she was greeted yells of hatred and spite.
"Im Emerald." Emerald said with a smile, her blue eyes glanced around this place to observe her surroundings a bit more. She took a step one tense step foward before her body relaxed automatically. This place didnt seem to be all that bad. Slowly all the scents of the institute started slowly filling her keen nose. "Its nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too. I have to ask you a few questions before you move in." *Tricity began her repeated speech once again, as she did for all new people.* "I need to know the specific of you mutation. Do your power hurt yourself or others? Are you in total control of them?"
"My mutation is wolf metamorphosis and Control over water. The only time my power hurts someone is ethier when I will it to or if I get bloodlusted by getting to enraged but I have learned to control my anger." Emerald said almost robotic, she had been forced to say it in the labs so it was engraved in her mind.
Fade was enjoying a walk outside when she noticed Ms. Tipper talking to a girl that she had never met before. She watched for a moment before sitting down. "Well, it must be a new girl, I should wait until after she is done talking to Ms. Tipper." She said as she plucked a blade of grass from the ground and began shredding it into the smallest pieces possible.
Fade jumped up, thinking that they might be done. There was another girl. She had seen her once, but never actually talked to her, she just got a quick glance at her a few days ago. She dropped the little pieces of grass onto the ground and brushed herself off, making sure there were no dirt stains on her rear now. Her shoes were off so her feet pressed into the soft grass in a comfy manner. A tingling sensation ran up her spine because she had not walked around barefoot on good grass for a very very long time.
"No worries, I was preoccupied with the dirt on my butt." She said, looking up. She cocked an eyebrow at how this girl bowed. not from around here... Fade decided. "So yea, I'm Jenny, but I typically go by Fade, unless you have this deep unsettling desire to call me Jenny, I don't care." Fade smiled, starting to get confuzed in her own thoughts. You have to understand something about Fade, she will speak her mind and sometimes she doesn't hold anything back, which is bad sometimes on her behalf. She has trust issues. It's not that she can't trust people, it's that she trusts them too easily and they in return sometimes turn around and hurt her with the things she trusted them with. Yet, this naive girl has not yet learned her lesson and hasn't figured out just to shut her mouth sometimes...maybe in the future.
Riruki still did not look up but introduced herself.
"Dashikira Riruki." she said. "But in america you would say Riruki Dashikura." she finally looked at Jenny, the aplogetic expression still on her face. She thought the girl was pretty actually and her ruby red lips began to smile.
(Are you going to chase after every pretty girl in the school?) Hina asked accusingly in her mind. Riruki ignored him.
"It is nice to meet you, Fade. But I must say that is quite an odd name you bear."
"Which one? Fade or Jenny?" She asked, fade had always thought that Jenny was the weirder of the two, but then again, she always refered to herself as fade, so Jenny is like the nickname to her and not Fade...weird...
"Fade." Riruki replied. "Why would you call yourself that instead of Jenny? I think your name is pretty." She said earnestly. She didn't quite grasp the idea of "codenames" yet.
Emerald had observed the other girls almost collision and she grinned lightheardly. Wow this is new. The wolf girl thought before she heard a slight scurrying noise. On the lawns she saw a squrriel and before she could stop herself she gave chase, barking. After the comical chase the squrriel had finnaly reached the the safety of its tree, before it threw a nut at Emerald's head.
Defeated and Annoyed Emerald walked back to Tricity. "Okay the only thing that is not gonna be safe here are the squrriels otherwise Im in control of my powers."
