The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was difficult to think of anything but what was going on in front of her, but Isabel did her best to remain undistracted long enough to try and remember who it was that had offered the pitcher of tainted alcohol. It didn't help that the lighting in the club had been less than illuminating, particularly the inconsistently blinking colored ones. "I don't know who it was. He kind of looked familiar, but I can't remember ever having met him before. He was older, and it looked like he had glasses on. Dark hair, too, but I'm not sure of the exact color. It was hard to tell inside the club. A little too well dressed to be there as well," she replied, wishing she could be more helpful in fitting a description to the man. "I think the guy was after me, not Bane. The beer was offered to me and he stepped in, showing off like an idiot and downing the whole damn pitcher." That was where she'd been at fault. Why hadn't she though that man had stuck out? She should have said something to Bacchus before he'd grabbed the alcohol. She almost couldn't believe how something that seemed so insignificant had escalated so quickly. She sincerely hoped that Mars was right and that they'd be able to get the Giant back to the Sanctuary in one piece.
The sudden weight on her shoulder followed by the cooling sensation seeping into her and concentrating on her wounds caused her to jump, her head spinning to the side to identify the cause of her sudden alarm. "Sebastian!" A flood of relief washed over her at the sight of the Sanctuary's healer. With his abilities maybe everything would turn out alright. Gently she released her hold on Mars' sleeve and wrapped her arms around the unicorn's neck, her fingers tangling in his mane in an extended greeting. "Oh God, Sebastian, I'm so glad you're here. Something's in Bane's system. I don't know what it is, but it's seriously messing him up," she offered as an explanation, hating that she didn't know what it was that was affecting him. If she did, maybe she could do more than just sit back and watch.
The crack of telephone pole hitting big red palm effectively recaptured her attention, her gaze once again firmly fixed on the issue at hand. She trusted what Mars had told her. She knew Abyss and the others would be as careful as they could with one of their own. They'd always taken good care of her and the others in the Order and she trusted them completely. Part of her wanted to listen to the promise of everything turning out alright, but the rest of her was too tightly wound with concern mixed with guilt and frustration. She didn't know how the red giants planned on calming Bane down and getting him back to the Sanctuary, but she had faith in their abilities.
The sight of Bane dropping the telephone pole and pressing a hand to his chest made her own heart drop and her stomach twist into a knot. What was going on? What was wrong with him? Her calmed panic returned with full force as everything just got worse. She'd seen seizures before, many of them induced by herself when she was playing with her favorite toys. However, this time it was her friend that was being hurt, and it hurt her in turn to have to see it without being able to stop it. Her grip on the unicorn mutant loosened, but she didn't dare let it drop just yet, fearing that her legs wouldn't be able to hold her up anymore, especially when the ground began to shake. She didn't even notice when the collecting tears finally spilled, nor could she pinpoint the moment when her heart had begun beating so fast and her breathing had become uneven. What was she supposed to do? She wasn't so sure there was anything she could do, but she didn't feel right about staying put and watching her companion suffer. "What are we gonna do?"

Mars nodded to the description. “ he has messed with the wrong people.” He grimaced at the flaming building, security tape might be melting away there only chance at finding out.
He glanced at the pair that had conveniently been assigned cop control, seeing as they were more likely to play rough with Bacchus. He called out to them still not willing to leave Isabels side.
“ You two quit standing around, I want you two get in there and salvage any security tape of the building, particularly the club that you can.” He then pointed at the firemen that weren’t sure if they were allowed to put the fire out or if the mutants would attack. “and for goodness sake you guys get to work!”
Jupiter and Mercury both glanced at the fiery building and then wore matching grins, suicidal adventures were among their favorites. They both took off at a chaotic run toward the building and where the tapes would be kept most likely.
Mars turned to Isabel again and sighed. “ Try to remember all the details you can we might need to match who paid for a pitcher of beer around when this all started on the Video. There is going to be hell to pay.” He then returned his gaze back to the situation at hand. Or he would have if Sebastian hadn’t showed up.
~~"Sebastian!" "Oh God, Sebastian, I'm so glad you're here. Something's in Bane's system. I don't know what it is, but it's seriously messing him up”
“Let us get him settled and you can go to work.” Mars’s eye’s snapped back to the scene at hand, with the unicorn at her side Mars was free to go, with a pat on Sebastian’s left unicorn shoulder
**“Give it back!”
For a moment Venus thought about giving it back hard and ending this.
~~"What are we gonna do?"
Mars hurried as the look in Bacchus eyes changed to pain. This wasn’t good. The giant’s body started to convulse and immediately, Mars accessed and tried to put into action what needed to be done. Abyss was right there with him and a step ahead.
Abyss called out to Venus. “ You and Pluto pin his legs with that.” Pointing at the telephone pole “ Saturn Grab his left arm I got his right. Mars!” he started to say. But he was cut off by mars leaping onto Giantsbane’s chest. Shouting “I’ll get his tongue. Sebi, we need ya!” Mars situated himself over Bacchus opening his mouth and securing his tongue so he wouldn’t swallow it as the drugs tried to kill him.
The five men worked to counter the bands demand to escape. Using both their arms and their tails to hold the large man down.
---~-- Jupiter and Mercury tore into the flaming building like a pair of crazed maniacs on a mission….much like the crazed maniacs on a mission that they were. They found the security room pretty easily located near the front and where the bouncers would be they grabbed the pair of computers and the rest of equipment that looked like they were set up for filming. Mercury called to Jupiter to get that out of the building while he searched around for those left behind. Jupiter carried out the equipment that was blissfully in tact. Mercury dodged off through the club wrapping his head in his shirt and loping through the area like an ape. He finally came across the quartet of voices that caught his ear. They looked scared of him when he appeared as much like the devil as he ever appeared to be particularly in this burning scene. He scooped up the four. “Anybody else?” he bellowed. There was no response but he did see a high heeled foot behind a table, running and picking her up as well adding her to the uncomfortable but not complaining group, he listened for a moment and then coughed, it was time to leave. He then darted toward the closest wall and made his own exit into an alley way. Looking around he set the five people down near an ambulance as gently as he could. He then ran to the fire truck and asked if there was anything else he could do?

Isabel and let go of the Abyss' clone's sleeve and grasped the unicorn around the neck, relying on him both physically and emotionally for support. Sebastian nickered softly and turned to rub his jowl against her back. At that angle it was all he could reach of her. As she hugged, she explained that a drug was the cause of the problem.
Treachery was afoot, but it did not originate in the hearts of any Sanctuary residents. Somehow, that thought made him feel a little better. While treachery was never a good thing, at least they were not dealing with traitors. The Sanctuary atmosphere seemed to bring people together, and it would be a shame for the residents to turn against each other.
What ever the drug was that the giant had ingested, it was not doing anything beneficial for him, and it looked like it was getting worse. He clutched his chest, then shaking, collapsed on the ground causing tremors to ripple across the sidewalk. He would not be easy to approach.
>>>“Let us get him settled and you can go to work.”
The unicorn nodded his head to the red strongman as he was pat on the unicorn equivalent of a shoulder.
Isabel continued to grasp his neck for support as the unicorn watched with bated breath as the Sanctuary's crimson warriors restrained the unfortunate giant, who had now returned to a more manageable size.
The unicorn took a step toward him, breaking what remained of the bow bedecked girl's tenuous grasp around his neck. Then, he galloped over to the invalid's side. He lowered his horn and let it touch the man's stomach, careful not to let it injure him as well was heal him. Instantly, icy energy flowed downward, pooling in the giant's stomach, centering around the poison. It flowed through his veins like an icy stream in Spring, washing away the ill effects of the pollution within him. After a few moments, the unicorn lifted his head again and bobbed his head in a nod. The man was healed, they could take him home now.
The unicorn trotted back to where Isabel was standing, and bent his front legs so he was kneeling in front of her. A lift back to the Sanctuary, madam?
Reluctantly Isabel allowed her grip around the Sanctuary Healer's neck slip as the unicorn man took a stride away from her and toward Bane. She most certainly wanted him to go and help the Giant, but at the same time she grew uneasy with the lack of something physical to hold onto. Unsure of what else she could do, she stayed put for the moment, figuring it was best to keep out of the way of the others while they worked, curving her arms across her torso as she curled into herself the littlest bit. Nervously she shifted her weight from one leg to the other, fearing that she might collapse if her muscles had no movement to contend with.
She hadn't realized she'd been holding her breath until it released itself with some level of relief upon seeing the unicorn horn lowering to touch the fallen Giant. It was so simple, the process of healing. A simple touch and such a complex sounding procedure could be completed in mere moments. The time it took for the unicorn's head to raise and finally bob in affirmation of the process' completion seemed to take much longer.
By the time Sebastian had turned to make his way back to her, she had managed to gain a tentative smile, though once the tears had been allowed to fall, she couldn't seem to make them stop despite the occasional irritated swipes made across her eyes with her sleeve. The silent offer of a lift from the unicorn caught her by surprise. She hesitated a moment, unsure if she should accept. However, she wasn't so sure her legs would cooperate long enough to allow her to get herself back to the Sanctuary. Finally making up her mind, though retaining some of her reluctance, she took great care in taking a position astride the unicorn's back, her fingers once again seeking out his mane. Hopefully she'd be able to keep her balance.
