The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was obvious that Bacchus was beyond the point of being reasoned with. It looked like he was flailing more than dancing, and the insistence of a leprechaun's presence worried Isabel. Nervously she wrapped her fingers around the railing on the stairs, reflexively flinching back away from the flying scraps that had once been a shoe and trying to avoid falling from the last few stragglers racing up the stairs toward the doors as well as the vibrations running through the floor from all the jumping around the Giant was doing. She dared not venture any closer to her companion out of fear of getting caught by one of his swinging hands or stomping feet. Her body was durable, but she wasn't so sure how long she could last against that much pressure involuntarily being forced against her an undetermined amount of times.
"There isn't any leprechaun!" she insisted, doubting that she'd be able to talk any sense into him, but not knowing exactly what else she would be able to do. She just knew she had to get him to the Infirmary so the medical staff could figure out what the problem was and then fix it. "Whatever you've got in your system is seriously screwing you up, Bane! You have to behave! The music stopped because you scared the DJ away!" By now she was sure everyone was out of the building and hopefully not all standing around outside waiting to see what would happen. She didn't doubt the police would be arriving at some point, either. She didn't feel like dealing with cops at the moment. She had bigger problems to worry about.
Firemen and ambulances were quickly added to the list. All she could do was stare at the sudden change in activity. From dancing to burning down a building in seconds. "What the hell is wrong with you?" she spat as he turned away from his work and began babbling about dancing once more. She didn't have a clue about what was going on. This particular one sided conversation didn't really leave her any clues. She just knew he was angry, as was indicated by the cussing and chair throwing. All she could really do was skirt around him as they moved out onto the street, not wanting to risk getting snatched up and disposed of as the chair had been.
A small wave of panic shot through her at the sight Bacchus actually crying over something that she didn't really understand. "I don't know, Bane. I guess he just... Well, uh... Oh, don't cry." Emotional train wreck was a good way of labeling the Giant at the moment. Cautiously, in one of the moments where he was closer to her height, she brushed at one of his cheeks with the backs of the fingers on one of her hands, the action leaving a nice sooty smear from the tears and the ash that had clung to his skin from whatever was burning in the fire.
'Uh-oh' was never good. Especially when the one saying it was tripping on God knows what and looking at what was surrounding them. The wave of panic hadn't succeeded in leaving Isabel completely, and she was growing more agitated by the minute. She wanted to get off the street and back into the Sanctuary where it was safe and where there were other people that would know what to do. "C'mon, you still want to dance?" she asked hesitantly, carefully reaching to take one of his hands. "I bet we can find some music back at the Sanctuary. There's plenty of room to dance there and I know someone's gotta have some big speakers."

Would there be dancing at the sanctuary? He had lived there for a while now and he didn’t hear much music, bashing humans and wiping them off the face of the earth was heard more than music and Bacchus wanted to dance not rant. He looked down at Isabel as her bow started to move, he looked back down to her hand and then looked at his which was pulsing bigger then smaller. He could hurt the little girl with the dancing ribbon on her head. She wanted to take him home there was music at home right? Home, the out back, the ranch! Bacchus jumped up and down happily as he looked to the girl and smiled he lifted his fingers to his mouth and let out a loud whistle hoping the pack of wild dogs he had at the ranch would come to the call.
Looking around and waiting Bacchus couldn’t find anything he was waiting for. There was a far dusty horizon that stretched as far as the eye could see as Bacchus looked down the street they were on. The sun was high in the moonlit sky and there was a waterfall of fire behind them. Looking back to Isabel Bacchus said, “Why aren’t they coming?” Bacchus asked Isabel, “You came all this way and the dogs won’t even show…something isn’t right…”
Bacchus took a few steps away from Isabel and into the street and saw some flashing lights…lights that sprouted legs and were running very fast towards them. “Spiders!” Bacchus said as his other shoe exploded from the mass amount of stress that was put on it. “They are every where, Come on Sheila!” Bacchus said as he looked at a car that was parked in the street. “Where taking this horse out of here!” Bacchus grabbed the giant square looking horse that was a hummer that was left in neutral and pulled it closer to them as his hand expanded and forced his hand to blow threw the door.
Hopping on the top of the horse and extending a hand to Isabel he said, “No time Sheila this place is going to be over run with those little beasties, your to important t become spider food!” Looking back Bacchus started to panic, they were getting bigger and more grotesque as the approached, Bacchus wasn’t afraid of spiders but that still wasn’t a reason to stick around when there were a dozen giant spiders running towards them covered in red flashing lights that lit up Bacchus’s black and white world.

It was unbelievably frustrating trying to explain something to someone that just couldn't fully understand. It was like talking to a child. Or at least, she assumed it was difficult to talk to most children. She never had gained a lot of experience with kids that were much younger than herself. If this situation was anything like dealing with kids, she didn't expect she'd want to be doing it again any time soon. Knowing that Bane was right around her age made it all that much more exasperating. She knew he should understand what she said to him, and there were brief moments where he seemed to grasp what she meant, only to spin right around and sink back into his hallucinations.
The bright smile that broke out across his face after her offer raised a false sense of hope that he'd comply with her wishes and follow her back to the Sanctuary. The whistle was an indication that she'd been mistaken. She didn't know what he was calling to, but she highly doubted he'd get the results he desired. It wasn't long after the whistle had died away that the sound of sirens replaced them, a sure sign that she'd at least been right about the authorities showing up to investigate the disturbance. She didn't have any patience left to deal with anyone but the Giant at the moment. Especially not the idiots that were foolish enough to get in her way.
"There aren't any dogs around here," she sighed, now knowing what he'd been looking for, though still not quite understanding why a call would be sent for dogs. "And you're damn right something's wrong. You're obviously sick, so you need to go to the infirmary." Repeating something probably wouldn't get her anywhere, but somehow she still hoped that in doing so the idea would stick in his mind and he'd eventually comply with it. Quickly she moved to follow Bane as he stepped away from her, not wanting to give him the chance of getting away when he was so messed up. It was the same time when a shout of 'spiders' went up and the cars attached to the sirens screeched around the corner and headed in their direction.
"They're not spiders!" she shouted, stepping back away from the car that had been dragged over and crossing her arms, refusing to take the offered hand and encourage his delusions. "If you say they're spiders, then squash them!" It was bad enough Bacchus was trying op pass a Hummer off as a horse, she didn't need the cops running around and upsetting him any more. She'd never get him to go where she wanted him to if he was running around freaking out for some new reason.
"You stay right there," she ordered, pointing a finger at Bane just to make it clear she was talking to him before turning to face the oncoming cars. She wasn't going to allow the passengers even enough of a change to exit their vehicles. Putting a little more room between Bacchus and herself, she strode a short way toward the cars, watching as some began to slow while others made an attempt to shift to the sides of the street in order to drive around her and her companion and trap them in a loose perimeter. Raising her hands she wasted no more time in setting her plan of attack into motion.
From her palms and fingers she grew and released large staff-like spikes of bone, firing them in rapid succession as she aimed them at the cars. She couldn't help but grin a little as tires were punctured, windows were smashed, and hoods were impaled. Mainly she aimed for the windshields, hoping to catch those seated within the vehicles at the same time. If not, she settled for pinning the cars in place, aiming to jam the doors when they screeched or tumbled to a halt.

Bacchus’s head spun around as he looked back to Isabel with the pulsing ribbon on the back of her head and frowned, why was she attacking those giant black and white spiders, they were to big, there was no way she could hold them off for long. Bacchus frowned again as the spiders got closer, the numbers were getting bigger and he knew despite how tough she was she couldn’t stop them all. Hopping off his magic horse he picked it up and said, “Take care of them sprinkles,” as he threw it and it sprouted wings and flew into the group of spiders which seemed to give them some trouble.
Running over to Isabel as his pants started to tare at the bottom, Bacchus tugged gently on her arm, “you can't fight them the spiders are to strong! But Sprinkles the flying horse of fire is going to help us.” He grinned in a matter of fact manner, “I gave the flames the leprechaun so they owe me a favor lets go!”
Scooping he up and not noticing his pulsing arms and legs he didn’t notice if he was hurting Isabel or not. He had her scooped up in a cradle position as his body started to get larger. He frowned slightly and let out a gasp as he focused on his legs and jumped high into the air.
Outstretching his hand as they were falling Bacchus pulled them up onto a five-story building and then set Isabel down on the roof. “They streets run red with the spiders blood.” Bacchus said as he perched up on the edge of the roof his back expanding and contracting rapidly as Bacchus fell back wards and started to cough up blood. As his chest grew and fell with each breath.
Isabel started as the Hummer suddenly sailed over her head and into the middle of the cars, colliding with several of them and erupting into flames. The attack of Banes' effectively caused her to halt her own offensive maneuvers, turning her face away from the flames as the heat reached her. She backed up a few steps at well, wanting to decrease the chance that she might be hit with any sort of flying debris. A collision with hot flying metal was something even she didn't want to get involved with. While it may not do any permanent damage to her, it would still bruise her pretty badly and was perfectly capable of burning her skin. Burns were not something she wanted to tangle with. She'd had enough of that after having to put up with the Registration Act's issued shock bracelet.
The tug on her arm caused her to spin around rather quickly, though she was relieved to see it was her companion, rather than a lucky officer that had escaped her. She was probably mostly relieved that he hadn't taken off on her. While she didn't think it would be particularly difficult tracking down a rampaging Giant, she'd much rather keep a close eye on him and continue trying to get him to obey her suggestions. "I can see that," was all she offered as a reply, glancing back at the flaming mass of cars. Any officers that managed to escape their vehicles seemed to be either looking for cover, calling for backup, or trying to help their fellow policemen out of the other cars.
And then she was off the ground so fast the sudden disorientation made her head spin. The position she was placed in was usually meant to feel more secure, but in her current situation she wasn't sure she could feel any more uncomfortable. She didn't know what the hell he was going to do once he had her in his arms, but almost immediately she wanted to be set down again. While she knew he couldn't control it at the moment, his grip kept fluctuating from unnervingly loose to painfully tight. One moment she felt as if she'd tumble right out of his hands, and the next she was wriggling for room against the muscles that pushed against her skin and were no doubt causing or would cause bruises to blossom across her body. Instinctively she formed a layer of bone beneath her skin to keep herself from being squeezed too tightly and risk internal damage.
She was probably most worried when Bane shot up into the air, the moments of looseness in his grip causing her to fear that she'd fall. However, it was barely another instant longer before they were on top of a roof belonging to a nearby building. "We are never doing that again unless you're sober," she blurted, stumbling a little as she was placed on her own feet, attempting to keep away from the edge of the building. A false step could cause a nasty fall and she didn't want to risk it. "Yeah, yeah, you did a good job and all. So lets get the hell out of here and away from the spiders," she continued, testing to see if playing by his comments would work better this time than the did the first time she attempted it. She hadn't expected him to fall.
"Oh shit! Ohshitohshitohshitohshit!" Panic. Full blown panic swept through Isabel and took a tight hold on her at the sight of the blood splattering out of Bane's mouth. What the hell was she supposed to do now? Pacing and pausing, and pacing and pausing, and pacing again. Making up her mind in a split second she knelt down next to Bane and attempted to turn him over onto his stomach, trying to find a way to get the blood to drain out onto the rooftop rather than sitting in his throat. She didn't know what she'd do with herself if she let him drown in his own blood. The second idea she got was her phone.
Frantically searching for her pocket, a minuscule amount of relief hit her as she found what she was looking for. There was a certain group of individuals that she knew would be able to move Bane and keep him restrained if need be. Hitting one of the speed dial numbers on her phone she sent a call out to Abyss. A few rings sounded before she heard a voice speak on the other end of the line. She could have died of gratefulness at hearing that voice.
"Abyss! Oh Christ, Abyss I need your help!" she answered, yelling despite the fact that he'd probably be able to hear her perfectly well if she were just speaking, her voice cranked up an octave or three in her panic. "I don't know what the hell he's got in him, but Bane's tripping on something and it's bad! We're on top of a building, and there's a fire, and cops, and another fire, and a leprechaun! And Blood, Abyss! He's coughing up blood, for God sake! I don't know what to do! I need you and the Clones to come help! I can't get him back to the Sanctuary by myself and he needs to get to the Infirmary! Please!"
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
He and the boys were lounging around the rec room playing pool and talking trash, while they looked amused they were dreadfully and unacceptably bored. Abyss got up for a shot that would put one more win in his column of his merciless string of beatings to the others when his pocket started shaking.
“Pluto, I swear if you are messing with me again, I am going to snap your.” It was about that time that Isabel’s tone started playing and he glanced at Pluto half apologizing half saying he was lucky.
He pushed the accept button and got as far as “Hi Isa..”
~~"Abyss! Oh Christ, Abyss I need your help”"I don't know what the hell he's got in him, but Bane's tripping on something and it's bad! “
“slow down” The others dropped what they were doing, all eyes on Abyss the complete one eighty of his tone from hi to slow down meant there boredom would soon be on hold.
~~“We're on top of a building, and there's a fire, and cops, and another fire, and a leprechaun! And Blood, Abyss! He's coughing up blood, for God sake! I don't know what to do! I need you and the Clones to come help! I can't get him back to the Sanctuary by myself and he needs to get to the Infirmary! Please!"
“Were on our way as soon as you tell us where you are…” He realized that it was hard to keep track of where you were sometimes when crap like this went on. “Where were you when all this started and how close are you to that?” He held up his pointer finger to the sky then struck out his middle giving the peace sign and then switched the middle for the ring finger. There were several signals that they had come up with the pointer up was what they already knew. Get ready to go.
The second was get ready for war, the third one was they had a man down. Jupiter and mercury took off toward the vehicle bay also home of the armory. They began gathering their body armor in a pile. Their muscle made it hard for bullets to get deep enough to do anything real, but it was hardly enjoyable. Mercury then grabbed a long belt of grenades. He never did loose his pension for making things explode.
Saturn and Pluto took off toward the infirmary to see if there was anybody worth anything in their at the moment. Meaning if Sebastian was around. At first glance they didn’t see him so they almost gave up when the unconventional Pluto went for the second best thing to looking for someone. Making them look for him. “Sebastian! We need you!”
Mars and Venus waited and then began following Abyss out front things were getting more exciting then either of these two cared for. But things were already getting in motion. Abyss still had the phone in his hand even as he placed his heavy foot in Venus’s and Mars’s cupped hands, it would look liked the super strength version of a way cheerleaders might travel to the top of a pyramid.. They launched him toward the tallest local building across the street from the sanctuary. As abyss left their hands the pair hopped into twin voids and moments later stepped out at the top of the building and grabbed abyss as they set up the distance throws they hesitated as abyss got settled and oriented where he need to head. If it had been day they might have been able to see the smoke. For now they would settle for the general direction. This was still yet to be a refined method of travel.

Bacchus felt him self get pushed over so he was looking up at the now bright green sky. It was magical; Dragons and other winged beasts were circling above him in a manner that made them seem to be dancing. Why was it everyone wanted to dance with him? ‘Giants must be the best dance partners’ thought Bacchus as he reached up trying to catch them with no luck. “Why are they so high up?” Bacchus asked, as he looked up in the sky as the winged beats slowly got lower and called out to him, ”You have burned the evil Leprechaun and killed his army of giant icky spiders! For that we will be your faithful servants and shall forever dance with you!
Bacchus blinked as the winged creatures got lower and lower and was now floating around him and Isabel, “They are chicks!” Bacchus said as he jumped up and looked at what he first thought were dragons. They were all half naked women with wings, “Can this get any better?” Bacchus asked jumping up and down again. yes it can! said the prettiest winged half naked girl who waved her hands and summoned the finest looking wooden keg he had ever seen.
Tearing again Bacchus walked towards the ledge of the rook and stood on the edge overlooking the city which was now swarming with winged naked and half naked women carrying pitchers of never ending beer. Tears rolled down his face as he reached out and hugged the girl and kissed her. From there he followed her off the ledge and fell into the pavement creating a large crater as his body weight kept fluctuating.
”AGHHHH spiders have returned save us! called the winged beer wielding super babes who were being caught in magical flashing webs from the police. “NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!” Bacchus said as he got louder and louder. The pitchers of magic beer were falling from the women as they continued to get captured by the evil spiders. Bacchus looked for the closest thing he could find and found a giant stick sticking up out of the ground, “Release the women! Then return the Beer!” Bacchus yelled as he picked up a telephone pole and jumped to the police cars that were trying to maneuver bones and the chaos that was already in the street.
Using the giant stick of awesomeness Bacchus fought the spiders in an epic battle that seemed to go on for days, no matter how hard he swung at the magic spiders they just seemed to get back up. “Strong bugs…” Bacchus said as he picked up the telephone pole and smacked a few cop cars, which knocked the giant spiders over. "BANE SMASH!"
Isabel wasn't paying attention to anything Bacchus was saying at the moment. If she could get him to stay in one place long enough for her companions to arrive, they'd be all set. She had barely so much as let herself breathe after she'd blurted everything to Abyss, the phone still held securely to her ear as if it were a lifeline of some sort. Hearing a familiar voice speaking to her calmly as well as making sense and understanding what she was saying was an immense comfort in the midst of such chaos. It was unbelievably relieving to hear that they'd be coming to help her on such short notice. Her mind was grateful for some level of organization and serenity to focus on. She couldn't remember a time when the Big Guy's voice had ever sounded so comforting.
"Bane took me to a club somewhere, I don't know the name, not that it matters anymore since it's on fire," she replied into the phone, struggling to remember just how far they'd driven before they'd arrived at their destination. "I don't think it's more than a few blocks away from the Sanctuary. If the flames aren't any help, you could listen for the sirens. There's so many emergency vehicles here, and more showing up. I haven't seen so many in one place in a long time." She could hardly distinguish the individual sirens any longer. All the sound kind of melded together into one, long, never ending wail on the street below her. She was just thankful that the wind wasn't blowing the smoke her way just yet.
"Oh shit! Bane!" was the only verbal response she could manage as the Giant got to his feet and proceeded to step right off the edge of the roof, her voice risen even higher into a sort of screech as she'd spoken. The phone was quickly forgotten, left to tumble from her fingers and clatter against the rooftop. She rushed as far as the building's ledge before skidding to a stop, placing her hands on the edge of the roof and leaning forward so she could look down to see what had happened to her friend. She didn't know if a fall from that height would kill him or not, especially with his mutation going haywire at the moment. The brief moment that passed between the time that Bane hit the ground until he moved and got up passed by with agonizing slowness. Removing themselves from the ledge, her hand instead buried themselves in her hair, her fingers curling around small sections of the hair as her fists tightened, a number of sharp pains responding when she gripped too tightly.
What the hell was she supposed to do? She wanted to get down on the ground where her friend was now fighting again, that much she knew, but at the moment her abilities to do so seemed terribly restricting. She didn't have the patience to glide her way down, and she worried that if she used the spidery legs of bone, she'd too closely resemble the arachnids of Bane's hallucinations and she'd be mistaken for a target. She didn't want to get hit by anything Bane was swinging around, nor anything he threw. She didn't want to end up in a confrontation with him, as she didn't think she'd be able to bring herself to fight back. She could barely put up with the idea of someone else hurting her friends, and she'd never even considered putting herself in the stranger's position. Never in a million years would she intentionally do harm to her companions.
This whole situation was beyond frustrating, beyond nerve wracking. She didn't know how much more of this she could handle. Her eyes were already starting to sting from tears that were trying to creep down her cheeks, but which she refused to let fall. Isabel didn't want to cry. It was bad enough that she was feeling helpless. She didn't want to let that feeling find a more physical way to express itself. She wasn't used to feeling helpless. Independence was something she'd always worked with. She'd always been able to take care of herself, especially when her mutation would be made useful. The only time this feeling of utter uselessness had been any stronger was when she'd been mixed up in the Camps and her mutation wasn't an option she could count on.
Finally making up her mind to get herself down to the street, Isabel carefully made her way to the side of the building where she would hopefully be out of Bane's line of sight during her descent. Making use of her spider-like mode of transportation she climbed her way down to the street as quickly as she could without risking a misstep that would cause her to fall. Once the bones had snaked their way back into her body, she quickly made her way back out to the street. If she could placate the Giant, maybe she could keep him in one spot long enough for the Big Guys to find them. She didn't need him causing any more damage and exposing himself to danger like that when his mutation could not effectively help him.
He was actually doing a decent job of knocking the cars aside with a telephone pole, but a good number of officers had wasted no time in vacating the vehicles, very few of them hesitating to pull out their guns and take a shot at the Giant. A well timed bullet could do some damage if Bane wasn't careful and if he didn't get lucky with his mutation. Adding a few more layers of bone to the armor beneath her skin, she stepped out in the midst of the burning cars and the gunfire, heading straight toward Bane. She could feel a few shots connect with her flesh, the force sometimes knocking her body off balance, the hits searing her skin painfully every time. "Bane! That's enough!" she shouted, trying to make herself sound more confident and commanding than she felt. "You're gonna march your ass back to the Sanctuary and that's going to be the end of it! You hear me?" She never had learned too quickly in some situations.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
"Bane took me to a club somewhere, I don't know the name, not that it matters anymore since it's on fire," "I don't think it's more than a few blocks away from the Sanctuary. If the flames aren't any help, you could listen for the sirens. There's so many emergency vehicles here, and more showing up. I haven't seen so many in one place in a long time."
“OK I will be there as soon as we can a few blocks shouldn’t take long at all.”
Abyss noted a pair of cruisers maneuvering through traffic.
"Oh shit! Bane!"
“Is I am going to let you go now, I just saw a couple more squad cars take off in your direction. We will be there before they get there.” He hung up the phone wasting no more time,
“Gentlemen ready or not here we go. Mars if you would do the honors.”
Abyss opened voids near his brothers in the various locations as Mars lifted him up and began to throw him the six blocks that they needed to go.
Jupiter and Mercury entered the void with glee toting armor and weapons, Pluto and Saturn when they couldn’t find the unicorn, grabbed a medical cabinet full of stuff and took it with them. Mars ad Venus stepped into the void as they watched Abyss less then gracefully tumble through the air.
**“Jupiter, Merc dispatch of the fuzz, Mars back up Isabel with whatever she is doing, make sure she is ok. the rest of you are with me to take down Bacch with out hurting him, he is wound up on something bad so he is going to give us hell, if we have to we will knock his ass out. There could also be a fiery leprechaun involved, I don’t know what that means, if so take him out as necessary.”**
About a minute later on the building that Isabel had just escaped Abyss opened a void and the group waited on the roof top as Abyss plummeted, they caught him with an “oof” next they geared up in the riot gear they had laying around complete with bullet proof vests. Next they made the same leap as Giant’s bane, they however aimed for Cop cars. Crashing to the ground like demonic paratroopers.
Jupiter and Mercury immediately began there war on the police officers, Jupiter hopped off of the car he landed on and began swinging it around at the nearby emergency vehicles. As promised they had made it here much before the two squad cars. Jupiter launched the car at them before they could make the scene. Mercury was punching officers and watching them sail into and through the air. Mars looked around for Isabel and immediately made to stand next to her. the other four moved in on the one swinging around the telephone pole.

At the urging of the nurses, Sebastian had been spending more time out of the infirmary. They didn't like him obsessing over work, not only because it didn't give them time alone, but because it wasn't healthy for a person to be cooped up working all the time. It also meant that there wasn't a healer actually in the infirmary twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The unicorn never wanted to let his negligence in attending to the infirmary cause problems for his patients though. He felt like he owed it to the Sanctuary to be there when they needed him, since they provided his room and board for free. Originally it had taken the nurses quite awhile to convince him to leave at all, and even then it had only been because of a small device they had given him that they had promised would call him back if he was needed. The 'pager' the nurses called it, would beep if he was needed and the tiny screen would show a message that would detail the situation. Thus far, Sebastian had only heard it beep once and the only message it had received was “testing 1 2 3 4”. He had no idea how the magical device worked without even any wires or anything, but the nurses assured him it would work if they ever needed him.
For the second time ever, Sebastian heard the beep from the small mechanical marvel. He couldn't believe it at first that the thing actually was working, then silently cursed the ill planned timing of his nighttime stroll. Glancing down at the tiny screen, he read the message that one of the nurses had left for him; “abyss needs you, emergency near sanc, follow sirens”
Heart racing, Sebastian realized he had wandered quite a long way from the Sanctuary. How could he have let himself get so far from where he might be needed? From where he stood, he could hear nary a siren in the distance. He was perhaps an hours walk away from home, but if he hoofed it, it would be faster. Doing the math quickly in his head he figured it would take perhaps six minutes to transform, three to take him from young adult to infant and three more to take him from knarled and knobbly old qilin to a faster form in which he could run without arthritic pains. If he transformed on the run, there would only be about a minute in which he wasn't moving. With four legs he could move about seven times faster than a walking human, so his travel time back would be cut drastically, to about nine minutes. Not fast enough in an emergency, but hopefully he'd still arrive in time.
Sebastian stripped off his clothes and shoved them under a dumpster in the closest alley, then started sprinting down the street. Not having a lot of extra clothing to spare, he'd be back for these one's later. At this time of night there would only be a few people out and about, but in cases like this, old fashioned modesty didn't matter much. As he ran, he youthened. Every ten seconds another biological year melted off of Sebastian's body until he was barely toddling along. He ducked into a shadowy niche next to a stairwell for a minute as he passed through his helpless infant state and the decrepit first few moments of his second form.
With a bone aching lurch he was up and running again. The impact of his hooves on the hard concrete sidewalks set his temporarily arthritic joints twinging, and he nearly tripped once, but soon he was young enough again that the only pain his healing couldn't do something about faded with the years. The miles between him and the Sanctuary, too, lessened as he ran and soon he could hear the sirens in the distance. He'd soon be able to follow the sirens directly to the scene of the emergency. The Sanctuary healer was on his way as fast as his hooves could carry him.

Looking around Bacchus found the source of the orders a small woman with a bow on her that continued to shake and vibrate was yelling at him. Losing his focus on the giant spiders and his winged beer maidens Bacchus gazed upon her and frowned slightly, “Who are you to tell me what to do?” Bacchus asked curiously as he titled his head and looked upon the girls bow. He knew the girl but he couldn’t quite remember her name but her face was very familiar despite the color smears or black and white with a hint of a green pulsing coming from the bow.
His eyes looking up at the sky Bacchus’s face stared in horror as the sky split open with a brilliant flash as it started to rain down red drops of a liquid of some kind Bacchus didn’t know what kind of water it was but it definitely didn’t taste like rain to him. Looking around for the source of the red rain Bacchus saw four men closed in around him. Bacchus didn’t know who these monsters were but they were trying to corner him… something Bacchus didn’t like.
Slowly Bacchus pulled the giant pole inward and looked from red man to red man, that was when Bacchus realized that one was next to the girl with the vibrating bow, it was her she must have called the red men doom. The air around Bacchus became thick it was hard to breath which made his breathing all the more staggered. Somehow these red men were stopping the air around him, making it harder to breath, what’s more he thought he was seeing words in the air above them giving them all titles, mind you none of the names were very nice but it distracted Bacchus for a time as he reached his hand up and rubbed hi eyes trying to make sure he wasn’t going crazy.
Not only did the air change once the red men showed up but the color of everything around them. Instead of black and white and a red rain and a green vibrating bow, the streets seemed to be filling up with the murky red and giving power to the four soldiers that were surrounding him. Rotating his hips Bacchus swung the pole in his hands at the nearest red man hoping they were weaker than they looked after all they were small compared to the now large and rather agitated giant.

Isabel's attempt at a stern stand against the Giant rapidly deteriorated at the look of confusion that was directed at her. She hated that look. There shouldn't be any reason for her to receive an expression conveying partial remembrance. The question posed about her identity only worsened it. "What the hell do you mean who am I?" she snapped, her look of disbelief not quite shifting into the glare she wanted it to. "It's Isabel, you idiot! You invited me out with you tonight! Your macho bullshit's what got all this started when someone tried to buy me a drink!" With that last statement her whole perspective on the situation fell into a landslide of guilt as her mind pinned all the responsibility on her. She'd been the one that agreed to go for a second round of drinks, and she had been the one the attack had been directed at. That was the only way she could think of the tainted pitcher at this point. Someone had intended on doing harm to her, and Bacchus had gotten in the way by chance. She probably could have stopped him if she'd made an attempt to do so, but she'd thought nothing of letting him down the alcohol.
That guilt only further infected her tumult of feelings when Abyss and his Brothers showed up, falling from the sky to crush the police and attempt to contain Bacchus. While she was relieved to see her companions had arrived to help both herself and Bane, she now also felt bad for getting them involved in the whole mess that continued to spiral out of control. She didn't want her friends to fight each other, though she doubted that Bane would cooperate any other way at this point. If he didn't even recognize her, what would he think of the seven red giants that had come to her rescue? The unnerving thoughts buzzing through her head were enough to make her stomach uneasy enough to overshadow the stinging of the patches of skin that had been struck or grazed by stray bullets fired by the officers. She paid no attention to any injuries, momentarily more focused on not losing the contents of her stomach.
Looking back to watch the chaos two of the Red Giants were causing with the humans, she moved a few steps away from the more steadily growing Bane, worried about what kind of repercussions she would be causing by asking Abyss and the others to assist her. It wasn't hard to miss the red mass of a mutant that came to stand closest to her, her attention shifting to focus on that individual, rather than the rest of the group. She didn't feel like she needed any of them to protect her, if that was what was being offered. Bane needed to be protected, mainly from himself. It was a rare occasion when Abyss and his Brothers needed any protection. They could handle themselves perfectly well without receiving any life-threatening injuries, but she still didn't want them to get hurt in any way on her account.
"I really messed up this time. I'm sorry I had to get you guys involved, too. I should have stayed a little more selfish like I usually am and kept all the fun for myself," she commented, speaking to Mars and looking up to him as she crowded in a little closer to where he'd come to a halt. She tried to couple her words with an amused smile, but the effect was somewhat ruined by the other emotions that continued trying to surface in her expression, as well as the tears that wouldn't stop welling in her eyes, unable to spill due to her stubborn refusal to allow them to do so. Slowly she let her attention shift back to the small group made up of four Big Reds and the Giant as the inevitable fight got underway, one of her hands seeking out the hem of Mars' sleeve, as if holding on to something physical would be any greater kind of comfort to her. "I wouldn't have dragged you guys into this if I thought I could have handled it by myself. I don't want any of you guys getting hurt. I'm sorry."
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Jupiter and Mercury had reigned in their violence to simply show them what they could do in the first place, all of the cops should know but for any rookie in this neighbor hood that didn’t they were just now educated. Jupiter loved a fight but he wanted even more to see all his friends get home and the only one with out body armor or an extra skeleton of protection was the big guy they were going to try to talk down. So he was in an odd mood and was willing to negotiate.
Jupiter bellowed out into the warzone.“Listen up cops, you stop firing and we let you do crowd control. We will calm the big guy and you get to go home alive, on the other hand, if so much as one more bullet gets fired in our direction I will make it my mission to make this the biggest lose you punks have had yet.”
The gunshots momentarily stopped as if they were waiting for anyone to say go and then another officer stood up with his gun still pointing at Jupiter. “ This isn’t worth anybody’s life, We will hold our fire so long as not another bystander is hurt.”
“For your sake you better hope no one gets in their way.” Jupiter called back grimly.
Venus reached up a casual hand and grabbed the pole stopping it mid swing, oh the smack of the pole hurt his palm but it didn’t move him at all , the arc was wide an while he put all of his body into it. It was wide and messy and something he had a chance to see coming and thus was ready for. The sound however cracked through the air. He reached up a second hand on the pole and began to worry it, shakin it back and forth trying to ag Giant’s Bane into a game of tug o war. And keep his attention. Saturn and Pluto got ready for the big take down if they had to do it or if he started growing.
Abyss began to attempt to talk him down. “Bacchus, we are here to help, man. Somebody put something bad in your drink, we need you to calm down.
Venus slowed down a bit to let him concentrate on the words, they would know pretty quick how far gone he was and if they should even bother with talk.
"I really messed up this time. I'm sorry I had to get you guys involved, too. I should have stayed a little more selfish like I usually am and kept all the fun for myself,"
Mars shook his head esaperated with Isabel. “ You didn’t do this to him and its not your fault, we are glad to help and you know it, you are our little sister and you know there would be hell to pay if you didn’t call.”
"I wouldn't have dragged you guys into this if I thought I could have handled it by myself. I don't want any of you guys getting hurt. I'm sorry."
“we won’t get hurt and they are going to take Bacch down as easy as they can. Hopefully that resembles some sort of gentle. At the very least he will get through this. What I want to know is who set this into motion. Who did give him the stuff?” Mars followed the logic to the fact that they wouldn’t have done this willingly. So somebody was out to start trouble.

The unicorn sprinted for all he was worth. He ran right past the Sanctuary, following the sounds of sirens, gunshots, and loud smashes coming from just a few blocks away. The gunshots stopped just a little bit before he rounded the corner and police officers were shouting orders and setting up a barricade. The agile white beast had no trouble threading through people and jumping over obstacles.
He paused for a moment next to Isabel to catch his breath and survey the scene. For just a moment, he rested his head on her shoulder and was surprised to feel a slight tug of cool energy leech itself out from his chin into the bow clad young warrior's body. If she had any injuries, they were now gone, as were any effects of drugs of alcohol she had consumed.
His blue eyes darted across the rest of the scene as he tried to catch his breath, trying to take everything in and figure out what was happening. Abyss and a few of the clones seemed to be playing an intense game of tug-of-war with Giant's Bane, another one of the Sanctuary residents that Sebastian hadn't previously gotten to know very well. It was not just a friendly game, though, judging by the concerned looks on Issie and Abyss' faces and the way one of the muscled red men and the almost equally strong giant were tussling so fiercely.
Why were two Sanctuary residents fighting each other? Had there been some sort of argument or something? He wasn't sure exactly what he was supposed to be doing, or who he was supposed to be helping. He tilted his head at Isabel inquisitively, waiting for an explanation.

OOC: Sorry so short but with the healer now on the scene I think we should put him to use!
The loud crack resounded throughout the street as the telephone pole was caught by one of the small men that was red as blood. ‘How can this man be so strong?’ asked Bacchus to himself as he tried pulling the telephone pole away. “Give it back!” cried Bacchus sounding like a child who is trying to protect his favorite toy. As he readied himself for another growth spurt something went wrong. His large pupils dilated as he let go of the telephone pole and placed his hand over his heart.
One step, two step… on the third one Bacchus fell backwards and started to shake violently as the drugs started to take it’s toll on the drugged up giant. No longer was he doing anything under his own control but rather his body underwent a powerful seizure, which caused the streets to crack and shake under his weight and from his limbs flailing about crushing everything in their way.
Pain Bacchus never felt before was now surging throughout his chest, and from the chest everywhere else in his body. The drugs were speeding up his heart rate so much his body temperature was rising dramatically, which in turn caused his body to shut down. Bacchus’s body continued to seizure but it became less and less destructive as his breathing became less and less heavy as his heart started to slow and slow. Until his heartbeat became faint. Without the focus on his powers Bacchus’s body shrunk back to his normal seven-foot tall self.
