Koga basked timidly on a large piece of glass that served as the ceiling and outside as the roof. H was timid because he was currently just waring a pair of swim trunks the humidity and heat in the green house were glorious. he dozed while his fingertips and toes kept him nice and snug on the ceiling. His body was mimicking the almost blue sky of new york. the major give away was that the blue wasn't supposed to be so close and there wasn't supposed to be a pair of Hawaiian patterned shorts stuck to the ceiling. The smell was also delicious he had to find out who was keeping up with the area in here and see if he could help with anything. all of the plants made him feel at home.

The Irony that he was fitting the pet lizard bill a bit to completely by taking to the jungle-esque glass building, but if this was the only place that was going to be really comfortable until he managed to get enough funds built up to make his room comfy and accommodate his needs or June when the weather here in NYC actually got up high enough to make him not want to pass out all the time. He considered his options. would anyone even hire him? he was fourteen and a mutant with obvious mutations...probably not...maybe he could see about doing yard work around here...still he would feel like it was wrong to take money for that, they already feed him and let him live her...maybe he could hire out as a house painter. he could knock out painting a two story with out a ladder. hmmm He kept going over in his mind of what jobs he would have an advantage... window washer? that was a dangerous job...and yet it had to be done. he could probably hit up some one for that....hmmmm.

Koga sighed contentedly and began to climb down the window and back to the floor. When he got back on the ground he put a button up shirt back on and then decided that today deserved some music.

He made his way slowly but surely back to his room. Enjoying the weather and the warmth still on his skin from the basking He entered his room grabbed his violin and walked out to the front yard. He then began playing his favorite tune. It was by the Aphex twins and he loved it. To forgive but not forget It was rare that he played in public, but it was too great of a day to pass up with simple laziness.

He hadn't gathered an audiaence by any means but no one had bothered to come throw rocks at him. He made his way out toward the front gate. and climbed atop the outter wall and waited to see if this would be the way that some lost soul first found the mansion. He liked greeting people an felt like he belonged all the mre when he had the chance to show people around. It was interesting to watch all of the activities that took place on the grounds considering that every one was pretty happy not to be pent up and locked inside.

he started over the same tone perfecting a couple of spots that he hadn't hit just right the first time around. the second time was, he considered flawless. He leaned back and enjoyed the weather all the while going into an athletic rate of improv. the sound was hectic yet apealling to him, He was playing the soun track to what he was paying attention to at the moment, his violin matched the beat of dribbling on the court and then switched over to a pace at which an active swimmer was beating laps back and forth, the quater beat it took a tennis ball to reach across the court and fly back across.

He perched on the wall and was going into a frenzy of Violin whenit hit him that he had no recording device to repeat this tune or song, it was improvised and he was more than likely to never remember and replicate again unless he repeat it, but with an easy going shrug of his shoulder he let go of what would never be again and simply delved back into the awesome rabid attack of music that he originally was obtaining. He stood and began to pace the radius of the perimeter. He wandered about the school grounds spreading his music throughout the grounds and not once did anyone throw anything at him or poke fun at him...He wouldn't spread it but the fact lead him to believe that maybe just maybe there was something to be said for the superiority of the mutant race.

He certainly couldn't even carry his Violin case around his old campus with out getting hassled.

Raina was out for a stroll with Star during one of the brightest sunny days of spring she'd ever experienced. Star was starting to get bigger but was still quite obviously a puppy. However, thanks to Naveed's swift training Star didn't need to be on a leash.

Raina was watching Star sniff about a tree trunk when Star's ears twitched. If Raina's ears protruded the way Stars did hers would have twitched too. There was music in the air! At first she thought maybe someone was playing music out their window but as she rounded the corner of the mansion she saw a boy and his violin. Other classmates stopped to listen but they too were outside enjoying the sun making use of the tennis court, gardening, even cleaning out the pool she was happy to see.

Raina approached and started to applaud. "Wonderful. We'll have to enroll you in music class." she said with a big grin.

“Thank you! I would be more then happy to join, I haven’t enrolled for any electivesss other than P.E. and that hasss turned into sssome sssort of training program with Sssam.” He said with a grin, bringing his playing to a sudden but joyful and more than likely temporary end. He put one foot on the wall and then the other the letting him self slide down it and then paced out to the woman and the ferocious little beast. “I’m Ryuichi Koga, Nice to meet you Missss.” He wasn’t concentrating on the color of his flesh, so the color of solid wall now behind him took over his skin tone even as his feet took on a bright shade of grass green. He stuck out his right hand offering to shake on his initial meeting of the woman.

“Your Pup issss adorable.” Koga grinned again still running on what more than likely would be a lasting energy based on the bloom of good weather in New York.

Raina grinned from ear to ear. "Well look at that." she said as Star barked and hopped around. "He really likes you!" she laughed. "I'm the music teacher here- but I was up North for a while so I guess I didn't meet you Ryuichi! I'm Raina. You've got one of the neatest mutations I've ever seen!" she watched as his skin went through the colour spectrum of the wall behind him. Her mind alive with details. "We definitely have room in music class. I'm looking for musicians to help my tutor some of the newer students who want to start brand new on an instrument for the first time. Do you think you'd be interested in something like that?"

He knelt to pet the enthusiastic little guy, now that he was sue it wasn’t going to try to eat him instead, pups were like that sometimes, deciding you were a chew toy as well as a person.” Thanksss Raina, though I can’t sssay I have ssseen a mutation around here that wasssn’t impressssive in sssome way or another.”

“Absssolutely, I’d be happy to give back to the ssschool. I could definitely get them going in the right direction asss far asss reading music. Though sssome of the instrumentsss we might have to figure out together, I could probably get them through the basicsss at the very least..” He grinned back at the woman, she was easy to make smile he could tell, he liked that in a person. “Do you play an instrument or sssing? Or both?”

Raina was enthusiastic. This was exactly what she needed. The task of organizing the music program has seemed so impossible with her constantly going back and forth between the mansion and her work at the aquarium. Granted between all the jobs she had a lot of coin banked. "Well, I sing... it's part of my mutation actually. But I can play most instruments. I read music too. And reading music is one of the areas some of the other students are lacking in. So I think having you around to help tutor would be great." she thought about what he had said earlier as well. "And I suppose you're right. All of the mutations I've seen are pretty neat!"

she bent down and pet Star "so how long have you been here? Where did you come from?'" she knew if she needed to she could easily access his files. But Raina preferred the get to know people approach. She built better relationships that way.

“ A couple of monthsss? I dunno, not too long, but I have been working at getting involved and thisss isss definitely sssomething I can ssstay passssionate. I came here from Peeksssskill, New York. It’sss a little bit of a ignorant place where our kind isss concerned. ” He smirked again. “ Ssso, I would anssswer that I’m from here to anybody elssse.”

Koga patted Star again letting him jump up and lick him, he didn’t mind in the least, it was a puppy after all.

Raina nodded. "Well, since I can see your power..." she took a breath and let out a note. Just a little quiet one. The dew that had been accumulating on the leaves, grass, and spring flowers began to float in the air and glisten as it grew cold. It became a bigger and bigger blob of translucent freezing water and took on the shape of a small cat. Raina continued to sing to it as the sun glinted off it and the 'cat' pounced on Star who yelped. Raina cut her song off of the 'cat' became a puddle of water in front of Star that the dog lapped up eagerly. "Party trick." she said with a wink to Ryuichi.

"I've never been to that part of NewYork." Admitted Raina. "Though I'm working Down town at the Aquarium. You should come and see a show sometime." she invited.

"You'd be surprised how easy it is at least in your case to transition to another stringed instrument. A little clumsy at first but it's quite shocking how easy it can be to adapt."

She was a bit embarrassed that he'd been here a couple of months and she was yet to meet him. It made her wonder how many other new people were around that she missed.

Koga rubbed his hands along his arms, he wasn’t particularly a fan of cold, but she was awesome. Her voice and her ability. He wondered if that happen all the time she sung? If so that would make music class more interesting and at the very least, he had an idea how she would wake up someone sleeping in her class.

“That was amazing, the sssinging and the.” He pointed at the puddle. “ You ever feel like itsss magic?”

“Don’t bother, it wasssn’t pleasssant at all.” He shrugged “oh I love the aquarium, maybe I will see if I can get anybody to come with me from up here.” Not that he had a certain someone in mind.

"Yeah. It does feel a bit like what I'd imagine magic would feel like." she said with a grin to the young man. "Actually, that's exactly what my family believes that it is. They don't believe or understand about mutation, to them I'm a reincarnated person or something" she snorted. "But it's neat to learn the folk legends. I'm sure if we dug deep enough we'd find some about you!" she added.

"I'd be happy to take you along to the aquarium with me anytime you'd like to go. I often taken students there on outings, some even enjoy volunteering. It looks great on a resume, and it's owned by a mutant! Really cool." she said thinking of Doctor Gray. All though, he was a mind reader. That part was a bit weird.

"Well, it started out as a walk." she answered. "it's one of the nicest days we've had in a long time and after all that snow I'm so happy to get out! But now Ive gotten to meet you and I'm glad! perhaps I should make a point of making sure I meet all the mutants I've missed!"

He took her very seriously in this matter his mind had put a lot of thought into legends and myth
“Hmmm, well sssscientifically, maybe you are a dessscendant of who ever wasss the ressssult of the folk legend in the firssst place.” He then paused again his mind playing out his thoughts.. “ and in that way I sssuppossse it is magic, in the way it would have been magic when that relative did it.”

His face then broke into a giant grin. “ there are a lot of dragonsss, in Japanessse heritage and my name isss passssed down asss a family name and transsslatesss into firssst ssson of the dragon.”
