The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

::Jocelyn continues to admire the mansion, wondering exactly what kind of place it is. She's only been in the country for a week and a day and already she knew that the Xavier place was full of mutants. It wasn't until a woman approached from inside the gates that Jocelyn cast her thoughts aside and cleared her throat. She hesitates a moment, her hands in the pockets of her jean jacket. She shakes her messy black hair from her face as she replies.:: Uhm, yes. Is this the Xavier place? ::Her accent is British and her expression is guarded.::
oook. well, how about we start with your name? *tricity asked through the gates, wondering what was up with this foreign woman.* i'm delilah. many people call me tricity.
::She hesitates again, then answers. Jocelyn. Jocelyn Riddle. I just came from Britain about a week ago. You see, I heard of a scientist here. He said he could alter mutations. Make them go away. I thought he might be here. ::She glances back up at the mansion.::
*tricity's eyebrows raised.* you cant just make a mutation go away, jocelyn. it will never just go away. i hope your mutation isnt the problem you were just talking about. *tricity asked*
I wish it wasn't. ::She mumbles, starting to feel like this was a mistake. This obviously wasn't the right place. And worse, it sounded like the mutants in this place were pro-mutant/human cooperation. Pro-mutant all around. Ugh.::
Talk? No, I don't think so. I don't normally give information out to people I hardly know. It seems I've got the wrong place. No one here can help me. ::She removes her hands from her pockets, revealing leather gloves with bare fingers. There seems to be a greenish substance on her fingertips, and as it drips to the ground it fizzes and smokes a little. Jocelyn looks at her hands a moment, then closes her eyes. The dripping stops, and she seems to be back to normal.::
*tricity watched the ground and then looked back at her.* so jocelyn, you are a mutant. what's wrong? are you having trouble with your powers? we can help you here...
Can you? You can make this stop? You can make my powers cease to exist so that I may never hurt someone I love again? ::she's starting up again, her fists clenched.:: You probably don't understand.
actually, i know what it is like to hurt someone i love. i've done it quite a few times. *she said, holding her stomach.* listen, mutation cant be reversed or just...stopped as you want. i'm sorry, but this school can help you; if you let me.
wait...please, i think maybe we should talk. *tricity said as she looked over jocelyn.* we can work on controlling your powers. they can even be of some use to you.
::jocelyn smiles darkly.:: Oh, believe me, I know how much use they can be. ::She steps closer to the gate.:: I'm able to control them enough to know that, and that's all I need. ::She takes hold of one of the bars on the gate, that smile still fixed at Tricity. The bar starts to smoke beneath her hand, and the metal gate dissolves, leaving a small hole.::
