The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Leila shuttered. "Oh yeah, no....no worries. I'll be fine, I'm just tired, that's all." she whispered, her eyes feeling slightly heavy. "Thanks Geo," she added, and then, without even considering what she was doing, she wrapped her arms around his neck -- The injured one as much as possible -- and kissed him. Nothing too passionate, but enough to make anyone a bit dizzy. She was definitaly feeling dizzy as she let go of his, shock crossing her face.
"I'm sorry!" she whispered, pushing herself away from him, tripping on the hospital bed's leg. She landed to the floor with a thud, and then closed her eyes, shuttering again as the pain in her arm stabbed achingly at her. "I shouldn't of--" she felt silent, wondering why exactly she'd lost control of herself like that. She most definately didn't have feelings for Geo here, she hardly knew the guy. She stayed on the floor, her arm aching like crazy under the gawze.
Geo was caught a little off guard by Leila kissing him, enough that he didn't react quick enough to catch her before she fell to the floor. He knelled down next to her. Geo knew the kiss didn't have any passionate meaning, he was experienced enough to tell but it had obviously freaked her out. He placed his hand on her upper back and lifted her slightly off the ground. "Don't worry about it Leila, I know you didn't mean anything by it." He knew what was happening, the pain had caused her body to release natural pain killers and it was making her a bit loopy.
The fall had obviously caused quite a bit of pain, he could tell by her face, so Geo decided it was best for her not to try to get up on her own. He tucked his other hand under her knees and lifted her, turned slightly, and placed her in the infirmary bed. "It's just the pain that's making you dizzy and confused, it'll pass soon enough." He said, his voice barely audible for reasons he didn't understand.

Leila closed her eyes, listening to his words. "Geo," she whispered, her voice shaking slightly. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry I freaked like that. Your a great kisser, don't worry about that part,." she laughed slightly, "Thing is, I have a boyfriend at the Mansion... Sure he doesn't know about my dark little secret, but once he does end up finding out, I'm sure we'll be ancient history." she sighed. "I don't know what came over me, but..." she drifted off, feeling his hands under her. He lifted her up into a bed, and she locked her gaze to his.
She kept her unharmed arm wrapped around him, not letting him back away. "It was not the pain." she said instantly. "I was fully aware of what I was doing, I wanted to kiss you." she said, sounding so much more natrual now, the pain in her arm easing. "I'm not exactly the good girl you know, but kissing you tonight, I'm not so sure it was a mistake." she said. "In the morning, I'll let you know if it was." she added, and then closed her eyes again, this time falling asleep.
Geo didn't speak while Leila did, he didn't want to say anything to make her feel uncomfortable. A crooked grin formed on his face when she called him a good kisser. She wouldn't let him back away from her after he placed her on the bed. He could feel the sincerity in her voice when she said that she wanted to kiss him, he couldn't help but feel guilty for the boy she was dating.
He watched her fall asleep and when he was sure she was out he kissed her on the forehead and took her hand from his shoulder and placed it on her chest. "I'll be right here when you wake up." He whispered and walked over to the door, shut off the light and lay in the bed next to Leila's. Letting sleep slowly creep over him.
