Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

Raina let out a sigh of relief that Clea was going to cooperate. "Don't worry about it Clea. I know it's scary." she said with a warm smile to the young girl. "I can teach Clea a lot about her powers. The people here can help too. Everyone here has a special power, even me... watch this!" With that Raina decided to demonstrate her power in a non-threatening way.

Raina could control ice through singing and she was able to shape it into different forms. She sang a beautiful high note and the glass of water in Doc Prof's hand jumped into the air and froze. Then as Raina sang it began to shift and form into a little bunny that hopped through the air around Clea before returning to Doc Prof's glass and becoming water again. Doc Prof gave a snicker.

"Neat isn't it? There are so many people here with wonderful gifts. We can all help Clea." she explained. "I'm glad your chest is feeling better. We must be very careful not to use Clea's power until it's healed. Clea must work very hard at staying calm or Clea's chest may hurt again. Once it's all better Clea can practice her powers."

Raina stood up and went to one of the cubboards and brang out a container of jello and a cup of orange juice. "it's not much for now Clea, but eat it and have a little nap. After that I'll take you on a tour of the mansion and we'll get you your own room. How does that sound?"

"Clea would like that!" Clea said, beaming. She took the spoon and set it aside, not needing it. She took her hand and scooped out some of the jello and shoveled it in her mouth like a two year old. "Clea promises to work really hard to succeed at controlling her power." She swallowed quickly, wanting her stomach to feel full, and she finished the jello quickly in her ravenous state. Letting out a long breath, she sucked the remaining jello out of her teeth and ran her tongue over each one. Then, she took the orange juice and sipped it slower. When she was finished, she looked at Raina and the Doc Prof. "Thanks Raina and Doc Prof." She settled back against the pillow, "Clea promises to work hard." She closed her eyes, but she knew it would be a while before she actually slept.
