The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Alexandra looked at the door in front of her. She placed her hands on the glass and concentrated. Come on. The glass seemed to melt in contact with her hand and began to form a medium sized blob. Now it was time for the main frame. Focus. Feel. The door disintegrated in the middle, leaving a hole, allowing her to pass. Circe stepped inside and looked at the alarm next to the door. Everything was fine. With a wave of her hand she reformed the door back to its initial state. She looked at her watch then around the room. She found herself in a empty, dark and silent hallway.
Distant echoes of a battle could be heard. She hoped that Slade was OK and could handle whatever the mansion was throwing at him. He's a big guy. He can take care of himself.
She sighed and forced into her mind images of the mansion. She saw the mansion on the TV many times. And in one of these times she saw an elevator. And she also knew that all the training facilities were underground. Surely that elevator would take her there.
Right or left, Circe? Come on, think. She closed her eyes for a moment then headed right. With a fast pace she began to walk, searching for anything that resembled an elevator. The damn mansion was a labyrinth. Another hallway opened to her left. Turn left or walk forward?
Where would I place a secret elevator? She turned left. If she wanted to place a elevator to reach secret facilities then she would have placed it as hidden as possible. She hoped she was right. And she was. After walking for another 10 feet, hidden by a small niche, there it was. She took a deep breath and pushed the only button that was on the panel. Few seconds later the doors opened. She stepped in and pushed the 'B' button. The elevator started to go down and moments later stopped. The doors opened. "I'll be damned."
ooc - calley if this gmods in any way pm me n i'll tone it down.
ic - As Slade covered his face clumsily the world around him imploded in a cacaphony of sound and light. Deafened by the concussive blast and biting through the now catatonic pain, Slade opened his bleary eyes to see the shined silhouette of an x-fool drop right next to his position from the upper foyer balconies. From his crouched position he burst forward towards the landing enemy, using his mechanic strength utilised through sheer momentum to propel his body shoulder first into the back of his target. Caught off balance at landing only to be hit bodily by a charging car the metallic opponent crumpled across the foyer landing with a clunked crash several feet away. Slade stumbled to a halt as he recovered from the blow, it wasn't a robot but the x-man had definitely been covered in a metal of some sort...
Slade gasped and tried to regain focus from the dual shock of the flash bang and the impact with the metal x-soldier. Conflict was unforgiving and more x-men had to be close, this thought was interrupted by small hands grabbing Slade's legs. "What the..!" Slade barely had to voice his shock as his legs were pulled from beneath him, held by tiny hands that held more powerful than should be possible. As his head smacked against the floor he felt those hands draw back, then he was lifted and thrown as easily as if he'd been no more than a frisbee. Disorientated in the darkness he connected with full force into the wall where he'd been sheltering from the flash bang, Slade yelled in pain with his body having ruptured the structure of the wall as he collapsed onto his knees. Areas of the wall were falling apart all around him and Slade tried to stand as he realised the impact had at least knocked the ringing out of his ears.
He heard through the dull throbs pulsing through his head an impossibly fast patter of feet before a diminuitive figure catapaulted into his torso, knocking him backwards into the already violated wall. Mortar and bricks shattered as he and the immensely strong figure flew through the exploding wall into another pitch black room. Lying under the small but strong psychopath he knew this x-man wouldn't take long to pummel him into submission. Noone threw him like that, it was impossible without having the strength to rip Slade limb from limb. Without thinking his brain committed to the last possible retaliation, his high beams flared as the figure leant back to raise its powerful fists. Slade caught the illuminated vision of a white haired female clawing at her eyes, tearing at the infra-red goggles that must have scorched her retinas as Slade's chest-located high beams blasted into life sending kilowatts of light bursting into the pitch black space around them. Before she could finish screaming he raised his auto pistol and slugged multiple rounds into her torso and neck, she choked before slumping lifelessly onto Slade.
Covered in mortar, dust and now blood Slade tried to clamber to his feet. He was wrecked, his systems were whining and bursting with pain. Any more fighting and he'd be through he was sure of it, he couldn;t risk using any more auto pistol rounds withought sacrifising a fatal amount of matter. Either way it was automatically retransforming to its hand form, leaving the tear-shaped shield situated around his wrist, self-survival instincts kicking in while Slade was desperately trying to get back on his feet.
The lights in the mansion flickered on as Slade staggered to the destroyed wall, supporting his aching body against the section fo the wall still standing he saw two x-figures removing their head gear as they looked for their target. Slade recognised one as the x-member he must have hit earlier, 'it' was a silver figure that seemed to be growing blades all over its body. As he focused on the second figure their eyes locked. He was tall, with short brown hair, and as they shared a contemptuous stare Slade began to see... he didn't know what they were... Spinning around he stumbled backwards looking for the figure he thought he'd seen in the corners of his eyes, Slade felt an irrational fear settling at the back of his mind. The damage he'd sustained must be compromising his focus, he was seeing things, something was wrong. Then a concussive blast pushed him off his feet and back onto the floor, head spinning Slade desperately tried to get up, seeing the two figures racing towards him he hoped Circe at the least was faring better than he was. Through the pain Slade began to realise just how insane attacking the x-men solo was...
A metal claded hallway opened in front of her. Circe stepped out of the elevator and wished she had a damn map for this place. There were way too many hallways in the mansion. She sighed as she headed right. She was feeling like she was getting lost in this place. She threw a glance at her watch. There's still time. But there was no need to push her luck.
"Right. Left, left, right." she spoke to help her self to memorize the turns she had made trough the metal corridors. In the end she found a huge metal door, a hand scanner next to it.
Cerebra?
She placed both of her hands on the metal and closing her eyes concentrated. She felt the metal molecules with every pore. The doors seemed to melt as she weakened the links between the molecules. The damned door was really thick. More.
Her eyes were squeezed shut as she focused every ounce of power on disintegrating that door. Her efforts were paying off as soon a small hole appeared. Alexandra relaxed and opened her eyes and watched as the door was melting away.
Darkness. That's was about everything that she could nottice about the room she discovered. She stepped in, trying to adjust her eyes to the darkness. But she soon found out that she didn't need to do that. Powerfull lights were turned on by her presence in the room. A big round room and some kind of observation deck protected by metal and glass in the upperside of the room.
"What the hell is this?" she said. She wished she hadn't found that as the Danger Room came to life with a screeching sound, starting its automatic defenses. As a laser gun appeared in front of her Alexandra looked confused at it. "Oups?"
As the two approached Slade fumbled with his hands, still prone. Through the disorientating visions blurring his view he felt his fingers catch the leg of what must be a table, Slade grimaced and gripped it forcefully. The two approaching x-men saw the grab and started to dodge before Slade convulsed, flinging the small wooden table off the floor in their direction. It missed by a long way but the dodge was all he'd hoped for. Scrambling to his feet he leapt for a door to his left, leading away from the silver man and his associate. He plunged through the door into an ornate, brightly lit corridor and his vision began to clear of those disturbing apparitions. That second x-man, was he responsible? As he glanced desperately around, his thoughts about a second behind his position, he saw another robotic construct lurch around the corner to his right, Slade turned the other way and darted quickly around the opposite corner. He felt the walls behind him shake as rounds ricocheted off anything solid, he dashed off down the new corridor looking for new corridors to utilise.
As he bowled around the next corner he ran full pelt into something hard. Once again he landed flat on his behind, his front stinging blotchily from the impact, elegance had never been Slade's forte... As he recovered from the concussive force of his impact he saw the remains of yet another robot scattered infront of him. "How many of you are there damnit?!" Slade wheezed as he pulled himself up groggily. The area was spinning slightly and he was seeing black spots everywhere, then a concussive blast soared past his right side and he span to the left. He hadn't been hit but that pulse had a kick behind it! Then the black spots began to morph back into the surreal visions and Slade knew he had to move. As he charged off he deperately checked his watch, Circe didn't have too long left and unless Slade could find a way back to the foyer without running into tweedle-dum and tweedle-dee neither did he!
A red light shone for a mere second in the middle of the laser gun then shoot a beam. Alexandra barely avoided it, throwing herself to the ground with a thud. With the corner of her eye she saw other various devices come to life. Lasers, tentacles, and many more. What have I got myself into? she thought as the laser that fired at her earlier blinked with a red light again. This time she wasn’t that lucky. Before she could roll completely to avoid it, the laser gun took his shot. Circe felt an intense heat on her left side, just beneath her ribs. Pain surged trough her but she forced herself to push it away, at least until she had escaped this room. With a quick move she got up, just before another laser shot a beam in the place her head was on. She looked at the burn mark on the floor then at the laser her eyebrow raised in horror. These guys weren’t playing.
Circe spun on her heels, just as a trap door opened to release two spider-like robots, with a shiny red eye in the middle of their body. The door was close by. Thanks god she didn’t had the time to step deeper in this room or she would have been dead. She heard the bots landing on the ground, metal hitting metal. She forced herself to run faster even if her body was beginning to feel tired. She reached the hole in the door and jumped trough it. She knew she didn’t have the time to reform the door before the bots passed trough it and didn’t even try it. No, she had to run away from them and she’ll figure out what to do. She had barely reached the corner of the hallway when a laser beam hit her left foot. The pain seared trough her leg like a metal knife. She lost her balance and fell down. Circe turned her face to the two robots that were coming closer and closer and watched horrified as they stopped at barely one foot from her body. Her breath stopped in her lungs as she didn’t dare to make any move. Their red 'eyes' lighted as they were preparing to neutralize their opponent.
Slade's vision was surrounded by a fog, eerie shapes clawing at the corners of his vision. While these shapes scared Slade they hadn't seemed to close in on him yet, if he kept moving he'd be ok... he'd have to be ok. What would happen if he died in the simulation? Had it been mr Antonescu he'd have no doubt he'd actually die, but then again would this Slate be so different? Slade rounded the corner only to see the bladed silver x-man bearing down on him, they must've split up to close the trap on him. Phantoms tugged at his consciousness as the stress and pressure began to mount on Slade's already taxed mind, he knew who he'd rather face. He dodged back around the corner to escape the silver man and saw the more human x-member no more than three feet away, Slade blindly grabbed for the man and felt his left hand connect with an arm.
Stepping forward he wrenched his left arm backwards and tugged the flailing x-man behind him as Slade began to run back in the other direction, another sonic pulse blasted over Slade's shoulder forcing him to roll awkwardly. As he bounced off a wall and clumsily regained his footing he saw the human x-fool entangled on the silver mutant's right side, blades from the silver x-man had pierced the other and they were desperately attempting to extricate themselves from each other. Slade blinked furiously, the visions seeming to dissipate ever so slightly, and he launched back in the direction he had come from. There was no better time to get back to the mansion foyer.
Her eyes turned from the menacing robots to the place she had just left. Her eyes turned into a bluish color, becoming more intense with every moment.
A red light shone brightly as the robots were taking their shot. It was then when something looking like a giant floating metal ball appeared in front of them. The robots took a step back as they realized they have shot something else than their target.
Circe jumped up as she was still manipulating the metal ball, this time to liquefy it. The molten metal began to spread toward the two robots and soon enough they found themselves engulfed by a thick layer of metal. Circe solidified the metal around the two robots then used the remaining material to cover some of the hole she made in the door. It was partially covered but at least no more robots were coming after her. She glanced at the two silvery statues and began to run. A sound caught her attention as she heard the elevators door open.
Oh fu-
She began to run back and took another turn that the one that got her into that room. She stopped and hid behind some strange looking metal furniture as she waited for the X-Men to pass. Their steps were coming closer and closer. Alexandra’s breath stopped as she waited to see if they were going to see what’s going on in that room or check the hallways therefore finding her. She didn’t have the time to fight with them.
She heard the footsteps louder, just like they were being really close to her. Her eyes glowed in the dim light as she prepared for whatever was coming. The sound of the two X-Men running began to depart from her hiding place. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. She began to run in the opposite direction, heading to the elevator. She hoped that she’d have more luck in the other direction. And she hoped that Slade was doing better than her.
As Slade moved around the other corner he realised he was limping, he didn't know how long it had been since it had started but he was beginning to feel it now. His teeth grit into place as he kicked his leg forward, hoping the silver x-man was having trouble removing his blades from the second x-member Slade pushed down the corridor. He was feeling groggy, even without the phantasms his vision was blurred slightly, hearing commotion down the corridor he spotted a fourth robot blocking his path. "Goddamnit these mother..!" Slade bashed his way through a door to his left and kept moving from door to door. No longer in the open corridors he could better defend himself in close quarters, not to mention it would make it slightly more difficult to track him down. He kept moving in what he believed to be the general direction of the mansion foyer, he heard crashing behind him and tried to pick up pace. He had less than ten minutes to get the hell out, he needed an exit soon.
This time, Alexandra was running, looking for that Cerebra. She knew she didn’t have much time. The X-Men were going to see that no one was trapped in that hell of a room and will begin to search the rest of the building.
She breathed heavily as she came to a stop in front of another metal door, a carved X sign, on it. In the middle, an eye scanner. God, let it be Cerebra. She stopped, her hands on the door as she began to manipulate the molecules once more. This time, everything seemed to work better… and also faster. She just wished the X-Men had only one deadly room, and this time, she would actually find her much needed target.
The metal was beginning to flow, Circe carefully manipulating it around her feet. A small hole appeared, slowly but steadily growing larger.
Circe breathed relieved. As the hole became large enough for her to go through it, the vague shapes of the room she was trying to get in appeared. She stepped inside. Well, it was a big, round room, that she was sure about it. And she had this fear of heights. And seeing that she was practically hanged above the void wasn’t very thrilling. Actually, wasn’t thrilling at all. No, this time she didn’t run, that thing she was walking on seemed way to frail for her liking. She got to the machine at the end and fought the instinct to look over the edge as she knew she won’t like what she’ll see. Taking the red bull’s eye she placed it on Cerebra and headed out. With a wave of her hand, the metal flew back in place, but this time it didn’t resembled any type of known doors. It just looked like someone had thrown a really big bucket of metal and solidified it. As soon as this was over, she began to run back to the elevator, her ears focused on hearing if the X-Men were coming her way.
She looked at her watch. 06:46. Her mission was complete. All she needed to do now was to find Slade and get the hell out of there. She almost threw herself through the doors as soon as she reached the elevator as with the corner of her eyes saw two X-Men heading her way. One shot a beam of electricity at her barely missing her. The other began to sing. Her fist hit a button of the elevator. The doors closed and the elevator went up. It was just now when she saw she hit the first floor button. Sighing, she patiently waited for the doors to open.
Slade barrelled through yet another set of doors, hearing the pursuers crashing into the room behind him. He was back in the open corridor just beyond the foyer, not a moment too soon! Lurching onwards he dived into the foyer and took cover behind an overturned section of wall, he needed to stay here for just a few moments more before making his escape. Those x-fools needed to keep their attention on him for those last few minutes so Circe could exflitrate successfully, if she hadn't already been compromised. Slade hoped she had succeeded, considering the fight he'd just had she'd better have got that tag on cerebra!
As the two x-fools charged into the room Slade stepped forwards and met them, as the phantoms began to spin back into existence he leaned back before punching the more human x-man squarely in the face. His neck snapped back and his body crumpled to the floor, skulls did not appreciate metal fists it seemed. On top of being thrown into the bladed silver mutant he didn't expect the felled mutant to be moving around any time soon, if at all. He heard a yell and subsequently felt strong arms grappling him, the silver mutant was on him and Slade was definitely worse for wear. This was not a wrestling match Slade wanted to partake in and as time slipped away Slade attempted desperately to throw the silver man off him, every struggle was a mind-rending pain as the grappling silver mutant was covered in sharp blades that tore across Slade's chassis in schreeches and cries. Slade felt himself weakening as the pain finally took its toll, his already failing vision was petering out and Slade could feel himself slumping. He couldn't fail, not now...
The doors opened and Circe stepped out. No, she didn’t need to follow her intuition this time to find Slade, as sounds of a battle guided her to him. She heard the elevator starting to head down and knew there wouldn’t be much time before the two X-Men will be following her.
She ran. Fast. The stairs seemed to be endless in these moments. And what she saw as soon as she reached Slade wasn’t entertaining at all. A silvery mutant was holding him and horrible sounds could be heard. Maybe it was a really bad idea to split up. Growling, she stopped and held her hands forward. Brown eyes turned blue. She hoped she was right. She hoped he was made of silver. Focusing on him, she concentrated on manipulating his molecules. The outsides of the mutant were beginning to wave slightly as he lost his concentration on Slade. Forcing her self, she began to turn the solid silver into a liquid state. And it was damn hard as he was fighting for control over his body.
“Slade!” she said with a growl, hoping to get the mutant’s attention on her and drag him back into the real world. Her attention focused on the hands of the mutants that was keeping Slade captive. Starting from his fingers, the metal began to liquefy and was slowly guided in Alexandra’s direction.
Everything was black, nothing could be felt besides the internal scrapings that was silver on organic steel. Slade's world was pain and he felt his consciousness slipping from his grasp. Slade didn't fully understand what happened, he felt his equivalent of endorphines kicking in; easing the pain and making it easier for his systems to shut down. He knew what would happen, he would either be dead or wake up in the hands of the x-men. Something seemed to protest, something was nagging that this wasn't right. He heard his name growing louder and louder until it rang in his ears.
Slade's head snapped up, everything was bright and dizzylingly painful. He must've been captured, but no? Wait, as his vision cleared he saw the silve mutant in front of him, something was wrong with the x-man. He'd let go of Slade and seemed to be battling some internal struggle, Slade staggered to his feet and glanced around desperately. There was Circe, Slade looked from her to the silver mutant, if what he was thinking was true then Circe was definitely putting her ability to a good cause. "I'm up Circe, finish the fool and let's go!" Clumsily Slade tried to collect his senses, as soon as Circe had killed silver freak over here they could 'get the hell outa dodge'.
Slade's head snapped up and turned to see Alexandra.
"I'm up Circe, finish the fool and let's go!"
But she was beggining to feel the pain. Her body was feeling tired, as it required more than a simple wave of her hand to manipulate the silver mutant. She had never fought this type of mutants. She had the upper hand in this fight because she could manipulate his molecules but wasn't as easy as it seemed.
Metal doors didn't have control on their shape. Metal mutants did. The body of the silver mutant began to cripple as Circe was gaining control over his molecules. A green light shone into her eyes for a mere second as her hands described a semi-circle in the air. The silvery liquid followed the dirrections given by her hands and landed right on the other two X-Men that were coming behind her. She released the control on his molecules, a numb feeling beginning to take over her limbs. She looked at Slade, hoping that he knew how they would get out of there.
Slade watched, impressed, as she tore apart the unfortunate silver mutant. Seeing more x-fools chasing into the room he grabbed part of a felled pillar and tossed it in the x-fools direction. It was nowhere near accurate, and held little force, but gave them a good reason to dodge. He felt an electric bolt fly past his position and at that point he knew it was time to go! Before they could recover from the well needed dodge Slade knew they had to get out of there, if a mutant could play around with electricity he knew he wouldn't stand a chance.
He looked to Circe, she looked almost as bad as he felt. Taking the short step to reach her position he grunted a short, pained explanation of what was to come. "Sorry 'bout this but we've gotta go!" Grabbing Circe he lifted her with about the same level of consideration for dignity as a fireman rescuing an uncooperative cat from a tree. Slinging his team mate over his shoulder he charged through the already forced open entrance doors, more bolts and projectiles of numerous elements chased them but didn't seem to connect as Slade loped away from the hellish mansion and it's cretinous defenders.
Then, at long last, it seemed to be over. The simulation died down and they were back in the bland training room. Slade paused for a moment, stock still, before staggering under the weight of all the damage he'd taken in the last half hour. Managing to place Circe back on the ground he dropped to one knee, wincing now at the pain that was returning in feeling in full. That hadn't been fun, he needed a rest and what was more he needed the mechanical team to give his body a thorough going over. He felt wrecked and he was sure he looked it. He managed to hoarsely gasp out a question before the ability to speak left him entirely., "Did you do it? Please tell me you did it!"
Slade looked down at her. He wasn't in the best of his conditions either. She watched him raising one of the fallen pillars and throwing somewhere behind her. She turned around, in time to see the X-Men dodging it.
"Sorry 'bout this but we've gotta go!" came Slade's voice. Circe barely had the time to turn back to Slade as she felt herself being picked up and slinged over his shoulder. As Slade was getting them out, Alexandra looked helpless at the surroundings they were leaving behind. "This is so embarrassing. " she spoke as her body was hoping up and down.
Finally, the simulation died down and Slade placed her on the ground. Alexandra forced herself to stay up as the only thing she wanted right now was to lay down somewhere. Slade fell on one of his knee. Just as she said before, he wasn't looking good either. But they did some hell of a team. It was the second time when they faced the danger together and it was the second time when they beat it.
"Did you do it? Please tell me you did it!" he gasped, his eyes rising to meet hers. A gloomy look appeared on Circe's face.
"No." she said, the most sincere look possible on her face. She began to laugh as soon as she saw Slade's face at hearing her words. "Of course I did it! Who do you think you're talking to?"
