OK as we all know Whitmore is dead and gone right? Well what of his remaining Allies? Yes I just said Allies as in Plural as In more than one Ally. All Allies being Npc's including the Mutant that I'm about to talk about.
We all know about Fusionist being one but have we ever thought of the other scientists that worked for Whitmore? As a new plot I am suggesting that a mutant that works for the laboratories to come to the Mansion in order to 'redeem himself.'
It is possible that a few people will sense that he is up to no good because there will be no way to prove it. I know what you all are thinking. 'What about if a Telepath like Cassiel went into his mind and found out his evil plot?'
Well every great question has an even greater answer. What if this mutant had telepathic blocks installed in his head that he claims where installed by the laboratories them self. Which they weren't but who is gonna be able to read his mind to find out?
This mutant observes all of the inhabitants of the mansion for a few days, calculating which one would be the easiest to send to the labs. When his days are up he somehow tricks said inhabitants into falling into his traps and sends them to the laboratories where they will be experimented on by different scientists. All of the being old Allies of Whitmore All being specialized in different forms of experimentation.
Of course the X men will be mad that their friends are taken and they will head to Fusion Corp((which will be Emmy's first mission as an X man. YEA!)) And will bust out their friends all of which now have mental scars of the things going on at Fusion corp.
All of the scientists will be killed except for one.
hmmm... people playing with adamantium, electrosis... perhaps a scientist who is trying to induce other mutant's mutations into a mutant who lacks that mutation... or are you saying names ages, etc?
everyone, in my opinion, despite how evil they are has shreds of humanity in them. we have to remember, an evil person very rarely sees themself as 'evil'. more often than not they see themselves as a version of good. seeing a bigger picture where people must be sacrificed in the name of the greater good.... but that doesn't help a whole lot for personalities... ... then again... maybe it does.
as I said... it may not be entirely helpful, but worthy of noting that evil doesn't see itself as 'evil'.
of course, why wouldn't a scientist, especially a militarily oriented one, try to make a 'super soldier'. or possibly even attempt to induce desired mutations (fast healing, super strength, etc.) into a normal human.
To add to the tension I think that As soon as they have all the chossen mutants been experimented on they will be auctioned off to the highest bidders within the organization. Meaning that they Scientest they are auctioned off to will have full run of the experiments done on them.
