Tarin doubted that Josh and his wife were sleeping , but regardless of what they were doing, Tarin didn't think they'd want to be disturbed. Rolling her eyes slightly at the way that Tarin had phrased it, Lee then realized that the same could be said of them at that moment. They weren't sleeping, though they really weren't doing a whole lot at that moment, simply laying there under the stars planning how to elope to Vegas. And yes, if they had been able to, Lee would have been completely for leaving right then. But god help anyone who chose to disturb them.
"Well, that's good," Lee replied to Tarin's comment about the sun rise. "I missed half of the sun set because someone decided to blind fold me and drive me out here."
Tarin was yawning, though. They had been up all day already, and now part of the night, in close contact with each other. It was no wonder he was tired, but he was Tarin, and he was stubborn about her powers, and he'd been pushing himself again, Lee knew, conveniently forgetting the fact that it had been her who'd woken him up from his dozing a bit earlier.
But Tarin was agreeing that getting a bit of sleep now was a good thing. Lee just wished she could actually fall asleep with him, but considering the reason she couldn't fall asleep, Lee wasn't too upset, and wouldn't trade what had happened for sleep now for any reason.
Instead, Lee shifted around, no longer snuggling against Tarin but laying on her back, her head on his shoulder, as she looked up at the stars. The sky was still black, so she was sure she still had hours of stargazing ahead of her before the sun would reappear.
"Good night, Mr. Brooks," Lee whispered a few minutes later as she heard Tarin's breathing evening out as he fell asleep.
