The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fission listened to Neena's comments and started o be thoroughly confused. After all they weren't talking about a game they were talking about people's lives being at risk because of his powers.
”It won’t take but a moment, and hopefully will put your mind at ease at the same time.”
"Great. If this Docwhoever can explain what's goin' on with me then things will start going my way." Chris said to them. He only meant that it seemed like he'd had nothing but bad luck since then and he was hoping that this guy can turn things around.
”Best we get it done quickly then, kiddo. C’mon, I’ll give you a tour along the way.”
"Sounds like a plan." Fission said following Neena as she motioned for him to follow her inside. Chris actually smiled for the first time in a while as it sounded like he was on a good start with these people.
Despite his obvious confusion, Chris seemed happy to have their healer’s take on his condition.
"Great. If this Docwhoever can explain what's goin' on with me then things will start going my way. Sounds like a plan."
As they entered the foyer, Neena picked up a New Resident form, to have it handy later. She pointed out the various rooms, then led the way up to the second floor.
”These are the dorms,” she explained. ”Boys that way, girls that way, and adults this way. The Infirmary is at the end of the adult hallway here. How old are you, m’friend?” The question was asked as she pushed open the door to the medical ward.
”Hey Doc! Are you lurking?” she called out.
An older gentlemen leaned out of a nearby doorway, holding his fingers to his lips in a stern, ‘Be quiet’, motion. She nodded, and motioned for them to find some seats to wait. Only a minute or two passed before the man reappeared, closing the door quietly behind him.
”My apologies. I was trying to get Aiea to sleep. How can I help you?”
Neena motioned to her companion. ”This is Chris. Chris, this is our resident healer, DocProf. Chris has a potentially explosive problem.” She told the medic exactly what Chris had told her, then stood back to let the two of them talk.
Chris looked at the areas Neena pointed out, and tried to remember where they all were. This place is so big I'll probably need a map for like a week. he thought to himself. He focused his attention on Neena as she asked him a question.
How old are you, m’friend?”
"I'm, uh, 18." He told her quickly before she started looking for DocProf. He walked in the door behind Neena and took a seat next to her. Once DocProf came to talk to them Neena started by introducing him to the Doc.
”This is Chris. Chris, this is our resident healer, DocProf. Chris has a potentially explosive problem.”
Fission gave a silent 'hi' wave and listened as she explained Chris's situation to the Doc. Chris stood up and shook the Doc's hand once Neena had stepped aside and let them talk.
The Doctor seemed to have a good grasp on what was going on. Chris's experience with doctors hadn't been a good one. They all seemed to be incompetent; this guy, however, seemed to know what he was talking about.
I'd like to run a few simple tests on you, if that would be alright? DocProf led Chris into the room and motioned for him to sit on the an examining table. Chris did as the doctor instructed as he quickly started to get things set up for different test. Fission waited patently as DocProf ran the tests. He didn't know if Neena was still waiting around or if she'd left but he was more concerned with what the doctor's findings were.

With Nathan being busy and out of the mansion Ali grew bored. She enjoyed spending time with Nathan no matter what they did. Whether they were training, on a mission or just relaxing it was always a good experience. Now that he was away she didn't know what to do. So, she decided to go for a walk.
Ali spotted Neena with a new face walking beside her. He looked young and she knew she had never seen the boy before. The pair ducked off into the DocProf's office. Maybe this would provide a brief cure to her boredom. Ali followed the woman and boy into Docprof's office.
"Hey Neena. What's going on?"
Making a gesture directed to the new boy Ali questioned.
Neena took a seat to wait while the Doc and Chris spoke. The healer kept his tone quiet enough not to be overheard. Behind her glasses, she blinked over to telescopic vision, to perform her personal version of eavesdropping; basically she read their lips to pick up what they'd said.
Her ears picked up footsteps, and she felt someone enter the room beside her.
"Hey Neena. What's going on? Is he hurt or something?"
"Hiya, Ali," Neena greeted her teammate without looking at her. She smiled, and patted the seat next to her. "He's a possible new resident. We hope he isn't hurt, but just needed to make sure."
The Doc moved out of immediate sight, leaving Chris on his own. Blinking back to normal, she turned to the heat manipulator.
"How are ya, m'friend? Behaving?" she teased.
(OOC: Sorry its a bit short. Fission, feel free to rp the Doc to say whatever you need.
(I'm not to sure what DocProf is capable of. Let me know if there would be anything else that he would be able to know.)
The DocProf was ready to start his tests. "Ok, were ready to begin the tests. It's just some simple tests for now. We may need some follow up tests later on. Let's start with some blood tests." The doc pulled out a needle and tubes ready to draw blood from Chris. Chris wasn't sure what was going to happen once he was stuck with the needles. He was ready for anything happening, though he didn't think most people here were.
DocProf quickly proceeded to draw blood and run it through the standard tests. As the tests were producing their results, the doctor ran him through a quick physical screening, similar to the ones taken in sports. "Well, your healthier than a horse and great physical shape. We still have a few test that I'd like to do." The DocProf said to him. DocProf left the room and grabbed the test results.
Chris waited a little impatiently, he was tired of the tests already. Once the doctor came back in Chris said, "Well? how's it look?" The DocProf answered him "It looks good. No diseases. However, your blood is laced with radiation. It doesn't make much sense." DocProf shook his head. "There's no way we can eliminate the radiation from the blood because you blood radiates it. That can only mean one thing...Your body is obviously creating radiation. It seems that there are a lot of different types of radiation in your body. The tests here show spikes in microwave, infrared, x-ray, gamma, alpha, beta rays, and some in between stages. I need to run one more important test before I let you go. I'll be right back." And with that DocProf walked out of the room once again.
Chris stretched as he waited for DocProf to come back in with whatever he needed to perform the test. After about a minute DocProf returned with a weird looking box. Chris knew exactly what it was once he saw it. "A Geiger counter? What for? I think I would have noticed if I was giving off radiation." He said to him. The last time he had a Geiger counter waved in his face there was devastation all around him. DocProf moved the Geiger counter in front of Chris without any results. Everything seemed to be fine until he moved the counter to where he'd drawn the blood. The Geiger counter spiked there and there only. Chris looked down at the Geiger counter as it spiked around his arm. "Interesting." DocProf said looking at the counter and moving it from Chris's arm to his body and back again. Then to his other arm, his legs, and back to his arm with the needle prick in it. "Apparently you give off radiation when you bleed. But other than that your fine."
(OOC: Sorrysorrysorry for the delay! I've had a rough week/end, but I think I'm back to normal posting speed again.)
When the DocProf returned to Chris, Neena resumed her visual eavesdropping.
"Well? how's it look?" Chris asked.
"It looks good. No diseases. However, your blood is laced with radiation."
<"Radiation? Interesting,"> she mulled silently.
"It doesn't make much sense. There's no way we can eliminate the radiation from the blood because you blood radiates it. That can only mean one thing...Your body is obviously creating radiation."
<"That explains the nuclear explosion."> Neena shifted and crossed her legs, and stuck her pinkie nail in her mouth.
"It seems that there are a lot of different types of radiation in your body. The tests here show spikes in microwave, infrared, x-ray, gamma, alpha, beta rays, and some in between stages."
As the medic excused himself, the chocolate-skinned woman considered the possibilities of such a mutation. It seemed a bit similar to Redemption's. She felt for the boy. Explosions were difficult enough to deal with, and the onset of his mutation would have been traumatic. Throw radiation into the mix and there was how Chris became Fission. That was a pretty heavy burden for a youth to carry.
She identified the Geiger Counter readily, and zoomed in a bit further to watch the gauge closely.
"Apparently you give off radiation when you bleed. But other than that your fine."
"Fascinating...." she murmured aloud, under her breath.
She blinked back to normal sight, and rubbed her eyes reflexively. She waited for the two men to reappear before standing up, and smiling.
"So? What's the verdict, boys?" she asked, wanting to hear it from their mouths, rather than simply read it.
DocProf escorted Chris outside the exam room once he'd finished telling the boy about his findings. Some were more precautionary measures, but nothing was conclusive of what had triggered his explosion on that fateful day one year ago. Chris stepped outside and the first thing he was was Neena's smiling face. He thought it was nice for him to know that she accepted him so far. However, if sheed heard the news or not the doc felt compelled to tell her what he'd discovered after he heard her question.
"So? What's the verdict, boys?"
Chris merely twiddled his thumbs while he let DocProf give Neena all the details. He showed her charts, and test results that he'd taken from the youth and talked about all sorts of other things that Chris tuned out because he'd heard them already and wasn't to keen on hearing the diagnosis again. The doctor was still holding the Geiger counter in his hand while he was talking to Neena. Chris felt a little like a kid again and the doctor was talking to his mother just because they were both so much older than him, not because he thought of Neena like a mother.
It seemed like they talked for hours but they had probably only been talking for a few minutes. Either way Chris was a little impatient because he didn't like doctors offices that much. He wasn't sure how Neena was going to take the news of what the doctor had found out. He listened to some parts of it because it sounded as if he hadn't told Chris everything, or maybe he was explaining things differently to her that also made more sense to him. Once DocProf had finished talking to Neena Chris looked directly at her. He wanted to know what she thought about it all and what she was going to do about it.

Looking the man over Ali didn't see any injuries. Then again, that's probably why they were in DocProf's office. It was always interesting to see new arrivals as each one was different.
With a slight smirk Ali nodded as she sat next to Neena.
"Yes, I've been good mom".
She refocused her attention on the new arrival and DocProf. What was the geiger counter for? Her inquiry was answered when it started clicking off the presence of radiation on the new guy. Did DocProf just say the guy's blood eminates radiation? she thought to herself.
Ali spoke up to the new guy.
"So all we have to do is make sure you don't bleed in any way shape or form."
"Hey Doc, what do we do if he does end up bleeding? I don't think anyone here can handle radiation. I mean I might be able to train myself to help a little bit, but that's not going to happen anytime in the immediate future."
Neena grimaced dramatically. " 'Mom'? Bleh! That's worse than Miss."
She politely listened to the DocProf's report. He reworded things a bit differently than the conversation she'd 'overheard', but the gist was the same. There also seemed to be no immediate danger of an explosive repeat. She smiled at Chris, and saw him staring back at her with, if she had to guess, unease.
"So all we have to do is make sure you don't bleed in any way shape or form," Ali spoke up. Neena nodded.
"That oughta be easy enough, as long as you're not a self-mutilator." She nodded at the youth.
"Hey Doc, what do we do if he does end up bleeding? I don't think anyone here can handle radiation. I mean I might be able to train myself to help a little bit, but that's not going to happen anytime in the immediate future."
It was a valid question, that the DocProf answered, in his typical no-nonsense way, quite efficiently. "Stop the bleeding, and call me immediately. In that order."
"Naturally," Neena replied easily, and moved to the young man's side and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "So then, we'll have to keep you away from sharp objects and the power tools. And possibly the Woodshop teacher. Think that sounds fair, m'friend?"
Chris looked at the new girl that had walked in. She seemed very curious and he couldn't blame her. If there was one thing he'd noticed it was that no every one here is unique. The boy knew that he'd never seen her before, since he'd only been here a few minutes. She was definitely attractive but she was much older than him and he didn't know anything about her. It was probably just best if he didn't try to find any relationships here, at least for now.
"So all we have to do is make sure you don't bleed in any way shape or form." "Hey Doc, what do we do if he does end up bleeding? I don't think anyone here can handle radiation. I mean I might be able to train myself to help a little bit, but that's not going to happen anytime in the immediate future." "That oughta be easy enough, as long as you're not a self-mutilator."
"Well I'd say that should be pretty easy." He said, his mood lightening up fast. He was pretty sure that with the results from the tests it was possible that he could stay. "I'm not a masochist so we should be good there." Chris stood up and walked over to the two ladies. He wanted to be part of their conversation and thought it only appropriate since they were talking about him.
"So then, we'll have to keep you away from sharp objects and the power tools. And possibly the Woodshop teacher. Think that sounds fair, m'friend?"
"Aw, and I wanted to make a bird house." He said smiling. Of course he was joking and had not intention of actually making anything. "Ya that's fine. By the way, my names Chris. And you are?" he said to the red head who'd walked in a little eariler.

The boy was taking things pretty well considering the few limitations being imposed on him. There were still lots of other things he could do and not get bored. He joked back about wanting to make a bird house. Ali couldn't help but smile. It was a pretty good reply.
"Nice to meet you Chris. You can call me Ali or Raven Fire."
Neena made a dramatic, 'shhh!' motion with her fingers. "Don't let him hear you, or he'll have you working on more than just bird houses!"
"Ya that's fine. By the way, my names Chris. And you are?"
"Nice to meet you Chris. You can call me Ali or Raven Fire."
"Ali is one of our heat manipulators," Neena added to the introduction, as she led the two back out into the hallway. She began scanning for empty rooms as they walked.
Chris was glad that, for now, he was safe enough to stay in the mansion. It was the best place for him to be right now. And the best place for him to practice his powers. He nodded to Ali when she introduced herself, and Neena added what her power is.
The radiation manipulator smiled at Neena's reply to his bird house comment. Thankfully, it went off well with both of them. Chris followed her back into the hallway and followed her around. Neena was obviously looking for a room that he could stay in.

When Neena finished off what Ali's power was Chris nodded. Soon after that Neena led the way into the hallway. Feeling as if she was turning into a third wheel Ali decided to leave.
"It's been nice meeting you Chris. Neena, I'll see you around."
