The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Specter watched as Neena jumped from the platform, went to rummage near the control pannle, and then threw something up to him. Upon catching it he noticed it was an ear piece. He stuck it in his ear tapping the device to make sure that it was on.
"Testing, 1,2. How tall are you? In metric please I am still having difficutlly with the converstion." Specter spook in a calm clear voice as he tested out the equpiment truning back to look at the maze.
The first thing he saw was the Cyclopes as it stood nearly 10 feet tall. Next he took note of the Menaitor. It wasn't as big as the Cyclops, but still appeared to clear 7 ft. The best idea was to have Neena avoid these creatures. However if she did run into them they where going to need a stradegy. Blindfolded as she was going to be it would be difficulte to fight. Finally Specter looked over the various traps trying to get an idea for their timing. When he was finally ready he spoke into his ear piece.
"Testing, 1,2. How tall are you? In metric please I am still having difficutlly with the converstion."
"Metric?" Neena scratched her head in thought. Although she'd grown up with metric, it had been a long while since she'd needed to use it. "Eh.... one-point-seven, I think. Or somthin' like that."
"Very well Neena, when ever your ready."
"Sounds good." She moved to the entrance of the maze, double checked her staff once more, then put on the blindfold. She'd grown used to running this course completely blind, and didn't see a reason to change now. She wasn't in any major danger, so why spoil the fun?
"Start course," she announced, and began walking forward, waiting for a command.

Specter watched as Neena entered the maze. He plotted out a course as he looked over all the various obsticals. Well Neena knew what she was doing so there was no point in taking it easy. He decided to go ahead and send her on the most direct path to the center even if there where others that held less traps.
"Ok Neena to start you want to take 20 steps forward, and then turn to your right. After 8 more steps there will be a fork hug the left wall and continue forward slowly. When you count out 10 more steps there will be a swinging pengulam trap. Stop and wait for me to tell you when to run through it."
As Specter watched Neena move through the maze he took note of the cyclopes moving in her direction. It was still a good way off toward the middle of the maze, but it knew where she was. The minator on the other had was still moving around aimlessly. Specter hoped that he would be able to guide Neena through this maze without running into eather of these beast. It would make things so much easier. Then again how often did he go with what would be easy? Well if she did have a run in he would just have to deal with that then. The most important part was to try and avoid them, and keep Neena's lives up just incase she did run into one or the other.
Neena had been through this maze so many times that deja vu began the minute she began walking, the only difference being the voice in her ear. She followed Marcus's directions as exactly as possible, and opened her ears to the sounds open eyes tended to hide.
She actually heard the pendulum before he mentioned it, and bounced a bit on the last few steps, prepping for the order to jump.
(OOC: Sorry it's short. Permission given to gmod Neena a bit, so you don't have to wait for her reactions.
