The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Syn led Packmaster to the dining hall. The smell of foods being cooked flooded the area in a wonderful dance of aroma's. "Here we are. Feel free to get anything you wish to eat or drink. There are trays and plates over there." Syn points in the direction of said items. "I'll get us a table so we can talk some more."
Packmaster nodded to her as they separated. He walked over to the food with a tray, and fillled up two plates with assorted meat products. After deciding he had enough food, he walked over to where Syn was, and sat.
"What was it you wanted to know about me?" He asked, and then took a bite out of a porkchop after cutting it off.
Apparently this guy was either starving or just had a huge appetite as she looked over his two plates of meats. "Well, I would very much like to know more about you in general. Then we can get into more specific topics later." Syn flipped her hair back and slightly tilted her head as she listened for his answer. Her necklace flashed briefly as it reflected light from one of the fixtures.
"Yeah well...really, I'm not good with people...I haven't had any real human company in almost 3 years, Miss Syn." He gave her an apologetic look. "It would help a bit if you would kinda lead me to the things yer curious about."
"Very well then. We're not humans here but since you brought it up do you enjoy human company? What did you do before coming to the city? You say you're not good with people so does that include mutants?" Syn stopped to leave those questions for him to answer. She did smile a bit when he called her Miss Syn though.
Packmaster looked up from his food, letting his amber eyes lock onto Syn's.
"I'm not...particuraly fond of Humans...though it's more the males I dislike than anything. Before I came here? Hiding in the forest, from both man and Death-bot." He frowned, letting his eyes drop again. "And my getting along with others...As long as their part of my Pack, and their not rude, then I have no quarrels."
Not being fond of humans earned him a plus. "Part of your pack? How do you determine who is part of your pack?" This could get interesting she thought to herself. Her piercing green eyes unflinching from his gaze. She knew from school that packs of animals always followed an alpha. The strongest almost always ending up with that position. If there was to be a contest to determine who was the alpha here Syn was more than prepared to show Packmaster where she stood.
"I tell my Pack apart by those who follow either me, or the person I follow." He stated simply, hoping it would stop the slight smell of aggravation from the Alpha in front of him.
"Hmm...and what sort of person would you be willing to follow? What would you do for that person?" Realizing there wasn't going to be a contest Syn calmed herself down. Perhaps this guy could be another new addition to her slowly growing little family.
"For me to follow someone, it would have to be a person who wouldn't hide important things from me. A person who is loyal to the Pack first, and is smart. Power helps, but a smart and weak leader is better than a strong and stupid one. They would have to be the type of person who refuses to back down unless it would mean senseless death, and who wants nothing but the best for and from their packmates." He took a deep breathe. "As for what I would do for them? Simple enough. I'd do what every wolf does for their Alpha: Live, Fight, Defend, and Die for the Alpha."
He finished his food, and turned cold, serious amber eys back to Syn.
"Miss Alpha? Now why would you call me that when you know it's not my name?" Syn gave Packmaster a curious look. Though she wasn't going to deny her position she was still wanting to learn more about this new person. His reply to what he would do for his leader made Syn smile. She could use someone like him on her side. "That's an admirable list you just stated. Good qualities to have for both the leader and the follower. Though I haven't seen you in action yet you seem like the kind of guy I'm looking for." The wicked girl left it at that to see how packmaster would respond.
A glint of amusement entered Packmaster's eyes, "Becuase I felt it prudent to let it be known that I knew of your Alpha-ship. Besides, I know my own kind enough to know that 'Syn' isn't your real name, just like 'Packmaster' isn't my true name."
He finished with the last of his meal, and leaned back in his seat.
"You could use a man like me? I find myself interested in seeing how."
First a smirk, then a smile and ending with an amuzed laugh. This guy was rather entertaining and Syn was enjoying it. "You're correct Packmaster. Syn is not my real name and no one but my family knows my real name. As far as anyone else is concerned my name is and always shall be Syn. Besides, it fits my personality more." Syn smiles at packmaster. "When I said I could use someone like you it was to say that I could use you and your talents to further aid our goals. Before you ask who I'm refering to I need to know the absolute truth. Will you be loyal to myself and to the others you will meet?" Syn's emerald eyes flashed as she straightend up.
She listend to him and his tone. She watched him stand up and bow to her. All of this pleased her of course. "Then first things first. Please just call me Syn." Syn made sure there was no one else nearby that didn't need to hear what came next. "I am the leader of a group of powerful mutants call the Order. Our goal is to see mutants step up as the dominant species on this world and take our place in ruling it."
