The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

>>>"I'm sixte...wait, no i'm seventeen as of today."
Katrina raised one eyebrow. “Well, happy birthday then! I'll be thirteen on July 14, so I'm four years, two months, twenty days younger than you.” Her mental math skills were improving, apparently Slate's obsession with teaching her maths paying off, whether Katrina realized it or not.
They were soon in the garage, walking past the innumerable black jeeps and assorted other vehicles that seemed more suited for a battlefield than a road. Soon they reached the glittery car section. Kat hadn't been in the garage much since her arrival at the labs, but she still remembered the shiny car section. She remembered it fondly. It was a ponytail's dream come true, full of machines that could help turn an ordinary ponytail into a banner of freedom, a symbol of the liberty of hair. Her personal favorite would have been the Viper, white with blue pinstripes, but alas, it was a two seater. Shininess after shininess they passed by, with one quick stop to say hello to an oldy but goody yellow Mustang. Katrina approved of Mustangs as well, but they weren't going to be driving that one, only saying hello. Finally, they reached a shiny that Geo seemed to find worthy of driving.
Katrina approved of the shiny. It wasn't a Viper or a Mustang, but it was most definitely acceptable.
>>>"call shotgun...it is hilarious to see Abyss try to sit in the back," Pluto whispered.
Katrina, needed no prompting, the words were already halfway out of her mouth. “Shot gun!” She supposed that Geo was allowed to drive, since it was his birthday. Soon enough it would be her turn. Soon enough.
She hopped directly from Pluto's arms into the passenger side of the car without opening the door, fastened her seatbelt, and removed a hair binder from her wrist. Within moments her hair was in its proper place, ready to whip in the wind on an adventure into the night.
Katrina felt a little sad for Geo, who had neither a ponytail, nor a real tail to wave in the wind, but he did have the keys, so that should make up for his lack. She squinted at Geo's head and decided that he would look good with a ponytail. Maybe by the time she had her driver's license he could have one. Then they'd be even.
Abyss was bemused by Geo's and Kat's exchange until he heard the word shotgun and gaped a moment at Pluto before he and the others disappeared in to the void.He bent a little looking in the rear window and made his way around to Geo's side squeezing behind the drivers side seat he almost laid to his side and looked awfully close to the prenatal position a baby takes while it is still in the womb. he shimmied a bit and managed to hunch over and sit in the middle of the back seat giving each leg what little space there was for his feet and bulk legs.
" I get shotgun on the way back or I will never let Pluto out of the void again." Abyss threatened miserably. With a little internal prompting from the others he lightened his mood. " I bet you don't even own a shotgun." he said punctuating his sentence by making a weird face at Katrina.
Geo laughed as Kat ran over to the passenger seat , yelling out 'shot gun'. And then watching the large Abyss climb into the back seat. "Ok hold on," Geo said as he started the car. The garage filled with the roar of the mighty engine, Geo hit a button up on the visor and a garage door on the far end opened up. The tires screeched as Geo J-turned with extreme skill then barreled out of the garage door and into the open night air. As they went down the drive a gate opened allowing them onto the road. Geo then turned towards the city and they cruised down the road, in the true Geo fashion of going recklessy fast but still keeping in control.
[[Not a lengthy one i know but there's only so much you can say about driving lol]]
Katrina was glad she had her seatbelt on. Geo drove like there were cops after him: with squeals of tires and roars of engines. After a few minutes of grasping the door handle with white knuckles, she got used to Geo's driving. He was actually pretty good, just faster than Katrina was used to. She relaxed and started enjoying the ride.
Convertibles were both colder and louder than Katrina remembered. It was a warm night, but the wind whipping past felt cold, and Katrina was glad that she had her jacket.
She had to raise her voice to be heard over the rushing wind, “Where are we going anyway?” The wind seemed to take the words out of her mouth and thrown them as far away as possible. She wasn't sure that either Geo or Abyss could hear her question.
The drive started out very dark. Trees and branches whipped by like inky shadows. The only lights came from the stars, which were the only thing that seemed to stand still. Gradually, as they neared New York City, the light from many buildings and streetlights and cars formed an orange-ish glow that started on the horizon and grew to cover the whole sky, blocking out all but the brightest stars. Even this late at night, the city streets were busy.
Abyss looked at Katrina appraisingly and then decided they might as well be out with it. He raised his deep voice and began to inform Kat what it was they were doing.
" Well Kat we, as we stated earlier are up to no good. We are going to make a statement and unlike what me might have been tempted to do, we are only going to make an example out of a statue, instead of doing what the government is doing to our kind in the camps, to the humans. Pretty soon the resistance is going to act, and its not going to be pretty, maybe this will change their minds before the breakout has to go down."
He looked at the Katrina as he justified what sounded like a lot of fun when it was going to be the brash Geo and Abyss out on the town, now he just felt guilty in front of such innocence. his speech was true though...and he felt like they were being merciful. they could be heading to some crowded area and going after as many as they could.
Geo slowed down a bit as they reached the city, still going well over the speed limit but slow enough that he could dodge his way between cars. He chuckled a bit as Abyss was trying to explain what they were doing out so late, Geo mumbled to himself behind a grin
"We're gunna visit ladie liberty." Then his grin vanished, "Hey Big Red, where we're going. Ain't it on an island?" Geo weaved between a few car before taking a sharp turn right. He had been fine with water for the majority of his life but ever since he got his powers he couldn't swim at all, he sank like a rock. Which he linked to his powers almost instantly, so if they were going on an island that would be a bit of a problem.
"I...I can't swim man. And i'm pretty sure the ferrys are closed at two in the morning."He hadn't thought this all the way through, when Abyss had suggested the act he was sort of blinded by fury of the subject, and emotionally distraught.
>>>"Well Kat we, as we stated earlier are up to no good. We are going to make a statement and unlike what me might have been tempted to do, we are only going to make an example out of a statue, instead of doing what the government is doing to our kind in the camps, to the humans.”
Abyss was sitting behind Katrina, and the wind whipping past was so loud that Katrina had a hard time hearing him. His voice was deep enough though, that she caught the meaning of the his words. Make a statement, make an example out of a statue rather than out of a human. So, they were not going to hurt anyone. From what Katrina had read on the German concentration camps, what was probably happening to the mutants at the camps was not at all nice and wouldn't be nice to do to others either. It sounded like the “no good” they were planning on getting up to was a little bit of vandalism.
>>>Pretty soon the resistance is going to act, and its not going to be pretty, maybe this will change their minds before the breakout has to go down."
Could one little message actually make that big a difference?
>>>"We're gunna visit lady liberty," Geo added. Katrina wasn't sure if that was before or after they made their statement. Or perhaps she was the example. The Statue of Liberty would be a fitting place to leave a message about freeing the inmates of a mutant camp. Katrina wondered how much spray paint they had brought with them.
Just then, they pulled around a corner and there were no longer any buildings between their car and the ocean. The tang of salt water was in the air. And there, larger than life out in the harbor, was the Statue of Liberty, illuminated all through the dark of the night by hundreds of lights at her feet.
Katrina's eyes widened and she gasped, “It's beautiful!” She'd never seen the Statue of Liberty before, and it seemed to shine in the darkness like a promise. Soon freedom would belong to all of them, mutants included.
Abyss smiled at Geo and Kat, "I have a quick fix for the both of you if you are up for it, come into the void and leave the rest to me. next thing ya know we will be on the other side of the pool."
~ “It's beautiful!”~
Later he replied begrudgingly " it was beatiful Katrina, but all that it stands for doesn't apply to these states anymore. and thus it shall appear as it acctually is here. Liberty for some and justice for none." he opened the void next to him and struck the pose of a doorman holding it open for those that might enter. "we can destroy her, or we can remodel her to represent mutant kind. I personally am partial to the old tear it down."
Geo gulped as the water came into view, a familiar fear came over him at the sight of it. He parked the car on the side of the street about twenty feet away from the actual water front. As he climbed out so did Abyss offering a safe passage onto the island. "Well I had assumed we were gunna tear out chunks so that it said 'Mutant Freedom Now' [] or something. How are we going to pull off destroying the statue of liberty without someone noticing long enough so we have a chance to get away. I've ran from the cops before but there's a differance between speeding and this." He gestured towards the statue across the water.
"But hey, I'm down with sticking it to the man, aslong as we got away outta this mess, that don't involve diving." He added the last part as he went through possibilities in his mind.
>>>"It was beautiful Katrina, but all that it stands for doesn't apply to these states anymore. And thus it shall appear as it actually is here. Liberty for some and justice for none."
It made sense. There wasn't liberty and justice for everyone, maybe there never had been. There had been slavery, witch hunts, wars, and now even concentration camps. Was Lady Liberty a symbol of hope or just a mockery, a facade of beauty to cover the true ugliness within the country?
The void opened beside Abyss, a portal in the night that was darker than the rest of the midnight shadows. No starlight shone through it, nor was there any light within it. Katrina remembered that last time they had talked about the void, Mars had said it might not be safe for people. The brothers must have experimented on their bugs and mice since then, because Abyss wouldn't let her go in there if it wasn't safe. Pluto might, but not Abyss. Katrina was a little nervous, but also excited, ever since Abyss had first described the void, she had been curious about what it was like. It looked like she would be getting her chance.
Katrina stepped forward, both excited and nervous. The void called to her. Abyss elaborated on his plan as Katrina walked toward him.
>>>"We can destroy her, or we can remodel her to represent mutant kind. I personally am partial to the old ...”
The last step brought her to the very edge and she put her foot down on the inside of the gateway, at the same time thinking to herself, It would be a shame to ...
-- -- --
>>>...tear it down.
...totally destroy it.
Her foot never touched ground. One moment she was stepping forward, the next minute she couldn't control her body any more, because she didn't have one. She didn't so much hear the end of Abyss' sentence as it was thought in their collective consciousness.
Weird. She never knew how many senses she had until they were gone. She couldn't see blackness, because she couldn't see. She couldn't hear silences, because she couldn't hear. She had no sense of floating nor or any sense of connection to anything at all. She couldn't tell where her arms were, or her feet, or even where she herself was in comparison to everyone else. She was kind of everywhere, and nowhere at the same time.
Abyss? Pluto? Can they even hear me in here? It's like being asleep without dreaming.
((files lawsuit against Geo's watching. I hope you don't mind I wanted to move it forward a bit, but the --- come after Geo is in the void.))
Abyss smiled and nodded at Geo, "of course, I don't attempt things I won't or those that are with me, won't come back from, I sure as heck wouldn't take Kat with me somewhere I couldn't keep her safe."
Pluto laughed happily. *well that is one for annihilation! I'm surprised you had that in you to be honest. and yeah we can hear you.*
Mercury chimed in and then excitedly spouted *yes lets get this thing done!* if anyone appreciated destruction it was that one. Instead of waiting for Geo to walk gracefully in Mercury's arm and upper body shot out of the void. " of course we have another way out. In fact you may be surprised by the simplicity of it all." He grabbed at Geo's hand, then tried to pull him in. out the opposite side Saturn exited the void, once Geo was in it was time for a bit of acrobatics..they were terrible at this sort of thing. but he couldn't say he didn't enjoy it.
----------------------------------
After they were all snug. Saturn set his hands in a ready position for what ordinary people might use to give someone a boast to reach the top shelf...they were defiantly were not ordinary however. Abyss shook his hands out and popped his neck HE hopped and his right foot landed in saturns hands and his hands fell to Saturn's shoulders with one pump of Saturn's arms and Abyss's legs, Abyss sailed toward the statue for a bit and the landed with a thud and a graceless roll at its base.
Across the harbor Saturn leaned happily on the convertible. He was glad to play look out, this trouble was simply stressful and not enjoyable in the least, what would this statement accomplish any way. He leaned so he had access to the horn just incase the fuzz caught up.
Geo was happy to hear that Abyss had a plan, at least one of them did, Geo was running totally off teen angst. He nodded as Abyss spoke and watched Kat walk into the void, she seemed a bit more exited about going into the void then taking part in liberating the Statue of Liberty. But how many of us actually took place in politics as children, Geo thought for a moment and realized he himself was a child and only at the begining of life, but when you've gone through the things that he had as a child you felt as though you grew up already and have been around the block a few times. Geo opened his mouth to comment back on the subject one last time, "Ok, well then I-" But apparently the Abyss' clones were getting anxious and one tore out of the void and threw Geo in after him.
Then Geo was spinning through nothingness, hurling through the void and unable to stop, but at the same time not really spinning at all. Like floating in a pool of nothing that wasn't there, all his thoughts seemed to be magnifyed. He could see his past, the girls, the angst, the crimes, his father almost killing him, the never ending lonliness both when Deja left him and when his family abandoned him, like his sins and haunted past had been magnified. But there was more there, someone elses thoughts as well, but they were fuzzier, like they were his but he didn't remember them, things that he knew he had never thought. He figured them to be Kats when he noticed that there were crushes in there, and notibly not the kind that he got. Geo suddenly felt a pain, not in his body because it wasn't there, but in his bery soul, it urned for the earth that it was now very much a part of, it seemed like he wasn't complete.
Then he tumbled out of the void, suddenly his body was back, his thoughts were his own and he didn't feels as exposed as before. Unfortunatly the sickness of the soul united with his body and he made a quick run for the railing of the island and as soon as he hit it full force emptied the contents of his stomach. He then stood up and whipped his mouth on his sleeve, that was the most terrible thing he felt. Geo was a man of secret, he didn't like having himself exposed like that for all the world to see, well not world but thats what it felt like. His energy reached out through the soles of his feet and into the ground. It felt like he was whole again there so that was a bonus. He walked away from the railing egar to get away from the water and he reached into his jacket and pulled out a half smoked cigrette. He lit it and took a puff, a calm sensation ran over him. He made sure to keep away from the others with the cigrette, he didn't want Kat around it at all. "Is it always that..."Geo strived for a word. "Horrific?"
>>>*well that is one for annihilation! I'm surprised you had that in you to be honest. and yeah we can hear you.*
I didn't mean... Katrina knew the instant Geo joined them in the void, his presence interrupting her train of thought. His thoughts came crashing into hers and shuffled with her own thoughts like two decks of cards in a game of 104-pick-up.
She sensed his confusion, his loneliness, the pain of missing the earth. Are my thoughts that loud, too? Those are kind of personal. There were lots of thoughts she'd rather not share. Like the fact that she still had nightmares about everything from Stalkers to hospital waiting rooms. Or that she had thought about Geo with a ponytail. His father brutally attacking him, Katrina could remember the pain in his body down to the very bones, blood... That's Geo's thought. It seemed in that moment as fresh as her own memories. Her own phone call to her own father on Christmas Day, his voice screaming, disbelieving. And the hope that he would someday accept her again. And Abyss' Christmas present, if she could ever get the illusions to work right. Her most embarrassing moments. All her private hopes and wishes. Confusion. Embarrassment. Her own loneliness. Geo's Loneliness. Bewilderment.
Katrina tried to shove all her thoughts to the back of her mind, but the mind was not her own and she couldn't tell the back from the front. The more she tried not to think about certain things the more she thought about them. She noticed Geo noticing her thoughts. Did he also notice her noticing that he noticed? He thought her thoughts were fuzzy. She thought his were crunchy.
Why can't I hear as many thoughts from the Abyss brothers? Katrina answered herself, Maybe they have more practice keeping things to themselves.
Then, Geo's thoughts were gone. Katrina knew they were on the island now, and that Geo was being sick, because Abyss knew those things. The nothingness seemed relatively empty without his thoughts echoing around in her... Abyss'... mind.
And that would be her cue to leave too. The void was no different when it was open or closed, but she knew it was open because the clones could sense it. There was no forwards or backwards, but she somehow knew the way. There was no walking out, or crawling out, or falling out. There was just...
Out. Katrina's foot stepped on the flat surface of the island. She was quite suddenly reconnected with her senses. Ooo... the ocean smell... why hadn't she noticed how briny it smelled before, how fishy it was? And the lights were so bright around the base of the statue. She blinked her eyes automatically to adjust them, but it wasn't her eyes that needed to adjust to the stimulus, but rather her brain. She was no longer remembering and imagining what things looked like, she was looking! It felt wonderful!
“Oh yeah,” she turned to Abyss, “and tell Pluto and Mercury that I didn't mean to say / think we should totally destroy the statue. If my vote even counts against all eight of you. Smashing it seems like a little kid solution. It's like saying, 'we can't have liberty, so neither can you.'”
The two youth's more than anything let there emotions pour from them like fountains. If Abyss hadn't been momentarily flying over the harbor then he might have bothered explaining how to lock their thoughts away. but at that moment he had to make sure that his brother hadn't sent him directly into the satue and he didn't hurt himself on the way.
"ohhhhh, You ok?" Abyss said in apologetic disgust. Geo obviously didn't take that one very well.
~ "Is it always that...Horrific?"~
"I think it might have something to do with the fact Mercury didn't give you a chance to prepare for it."~ he said to the now smoking Geo. "but that is just theory."
**“Oh yeah, and tell Pluto and Mercury that I didn't mean to say / think we should totally destroy the statue. If my vote even counts against all eight of you. Smashing it seems like a little kid solution. It's like saying, 'we can't have liberty, so neither can you.'”**
"I won't even bother telling you the childish replies you just got from them, they will probably try to tell you later themselves, I would ignore them if I were you. As for me I think the statement, while it may seem childish is still valid, and while it is like saying it, it is not doing it. They have striped us of everything and oppressed us for longer, Ask a native American, if they like what this united states has left them with. This is simply a statement, and being that is all it is I say it is charitable, The three of us could be driving to Washington to tell them to their faces, but with the camp break coming so soon we can't afford that. But enough ranting, what would you have us do?"
___
Saturn set in the convertible and was kicking back watching the cars come and go, no one seemed to care about what he was doing. He relaxed and watched making sure that no one in authority came their way.
Geo took in shaky breaths as Abyss spoke, he never wanted to relive that experiance again, after he had tried so hard to supress it. "Well be sure to thank him for me," Geo said sarcastically about Mercury. He tossed the cigrette but to the ground and stepped on it. He fixed his gaze on the huge statue that stood before him. He had never been to the Statue of Liberty before. It was freaking huge, it looked bigger in person then on the TV, and Geo almost couldn't believe he was here. And erriee feeling in the pit of his stomach, something just seemed wrong.
He wrote it off as his excitement for about to reck some true justice. Still he felt like a sitting duck, surronded by water. He activated his rock arms, the knuckles scraping against the ground, "Ok, lets get this done." Geo looked around and saw a bunch of lights circling the statue that were illuminating it. Those had to go first, Geo kicked off his boots and pushed them to the side. He concentrated on what he wanted the earth to do, he pictured it in his mind and his hands moved by themselves, it helped him manipulate the earth when he had a visual aid. He slammed his foot hard into the ground and the light nearest to them made a loud pop. When the others looked they would have seen the cement pushed up into the light, this happened again and again in siquence around the statue till all the lights were extinquished. Geo stood straight and cracked his neck, he looked over to the others and smiled. "I love being a mutant." He said a big grin across his face.
>>>“I won't even bother telling you the childish replies you just got from them, they will probably try to tell you later themselves, I would ignore them if I were you.”
Katrina rolled her eyes. She could only imagine.
>>>“As for me I think the statement, while it may seem childish is still valid, and while it is like saying it, it is not doing it. But enough ranting, what would you have us do?”
Katrina wasn't sure if there were any other ways. If she knew anything about politicians, it was that they weren't influenced by the desires of a twelve-year-old and her friends. They tended to be set in their ways and only heard what they wanted to hear. Unless it meant gaining a few more votes, then they were willing to say anything. “No, I guess that wouldn't work, would it?”
She could tell she wasn't going to influence these boys. They had come here with the intension of smashing something, and that was what they were going to do. All she could do was watch. And sulk a little. Katrina backed up so she was farther away from the statue, so she wouldn't get in the way when they really started at it. Then, she plopped down in a spot that seemed far enough away and looked up at the statue.
As she watched, Katrina realized that she was probably one of the last people who would ever see the Statue of Liberty. It was bigger in real life than she had expected and very beautiful, despite what Neptune said about it not standing for anything anymore. Katrina stared up at it, memorizing every detail so that she would always remember what it looked like.
Katrina wasn't watching when Geo turned his arms into rocks, but she felt the vibrations when his foot hit the ground. One by one the lights illuminating the statue were extinguished and the island was plunged into relative darkness. Only the light from the city across the harbor allowed Katrina to see what was happening now. The stars twinkled in the darkness, slightly brighter out here than they had been in the city. She could still see the silhouette of Lady Liberty's crown outlined with stars.
--
Back on the mainland, Officer Genna Colbourne was sitting in her squad car. She was simply doing rounds and keeping an eye on the pier. Luckily, it was a quiet night so far. She glanced over toward the harbor at the Statue of Liberty; the lady seemed so serene on this peaceful evening. Until the lights went out.
Genna reached for her radio communicator.
Abyss huffed at Katrina's defeat and with drawl, he was sorely tempted to simply go home, but he brought the boys out for some fun and to cheer up Geo, If he lost some respect from Kat, It would be at the price of letting Geo get some stuff out that honestly needed to.
With that Abyss let the others out and thus the act was going before he could reign it in. " Geo, if we remove it, can you replace it? Maybe stalagmite or stalactite or which ever is the one that comes from the ground? maybe write something like liberty for all on it?
"do what you do fellas." Abyss called out. " away from the city, feed her to the sea, maybe the fish know what liberty is." If Kat had expected them to simply wreck the thing, she was mistaken. Mercury, Jupiter,Venus and Mars all got a corner of the great monolith and began to lift. the ground shook and and trembled as the four removed the gargantuan statue from its base. Abyss scurried under the thing. and counted off once he got to the center. " 1, 2, 3." on three something that broke the laws of physics happened, or appeared to happen the statue went sailing threw the air. toward the ocean.
Pluto offered to pick up Katrina and shouted to the others and Saturn, "Take cover, that is going to be one hell of a wave."
Luckily there was plenty of buildings on Ellis island to take cover in and the statue was still on an up ward arc. they might have time to make it, how none of them thought about that part of the process, escaped him.
Just after the Statue seemed to jump off of the island and go for a dip. Saturn honked his horn once. he spotted a cop, and not a moment to late...oh wait exactly a moment too late.
Geo measured up his own abilities in his mind when Abyss asked him if he could bring up a giant spire to replace the statue, he was calculating all the times he had used his powers and how well he could use them. "Well," He concluded, "I can bring up a huge spire but the shaping is all up to you. It might take a bit too but i can get it done." He had no idea whether it was stalagmite or stalactite that 'Byss was talking about, he had flunked out of science...or which ever class they must have taught that in, but he got what Abyss ment.
Geo couldn't help but let out a joyful WHOOO! as the Red Team threw the statue of librety into the water. It was a little stunning seeing a enourmous statue lifted into the air. Geo walked over to Kat and attempted to place a giant hand on the little girls shoulder, but it ended up more like her entire arm. "Now thats what i call justice." He joked and then saw one of the Big Reds run over and said something about a splash...oh crap! He had slept through most of physics but he knew that a thing that huge tossed into the ocean was going to cause a world of hurt.
Geo, seeing the Kat would be taken care of by one of the clones, took off running for shelter. His running with Giant arms made him feel like a gorrila the way his knuckles would hit the ground and have the same effect that crutches did. The oddly proportioned limbs quickly shrunk down and he ran full force for the nearest shelter which happened to be the ground keepers shed. His bare feet were burning from smacking so hard into cement. "Water water water water water!!!" He said involntarily loud and jittery. Behind him he heard the statue hit the water.
Katrina stared in amazement as four of the clones lifted the 46 meter tall Statue of Liberty an extra 1.3 meters off of her concrete base. Then, they heaved and hoe'd and threw the 156 ton (141,520 kg) copper and steel statue out over the ocean.
As amazed as Katrina had been by how large Lady Liberty had looked up close, she was equally amazed by how small she got as she arced through the sky. After 101 seconds, just when it seemed like the copper clad lady had cleared Earth's gravitational field and would never return to Earth again, she turned at an altitude of 50,000 meters and began her downward descent, hurtling toward the ocean like a green comet, for she had been thrown so high that her copper burned with an emerald flame that arced out behind her as she reentered the stratosphere and flew to her watery resting place on the abyssal plain in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.
“Woah,” breathed Katrina just before Lady Liberty hit the water again.
>>>"Now thats what i call justice," Geo said, placing a massive rock hand on Katrina's arm. His hands were nearly as big as Abyss' hands, maybe even bigger.
>>>"Take cover, that is going to be one hell of a wave."
That was about when Geo scurried to find the nearest shelter. That was about when Pluto scooped up Katrina and followed after him. That was about when Lady Liberty finally hit the water again 12.75 miles (20.52 km) away from Liberty Island with a force of 1.38 million Newtons of force, exactly 3 minutes and 24 seconds (202 seconds) after she had begun her flight.
Geo needn't have scurried, the wave was going to take an entire 2 minutes to reach the island, traveling at a speed of 171 meters per second.
No, the laws of physics weren't broken, but they were a little surprised that such a thing could occur.

Meanwhile, back on the mainland, Officer Genna Colbourne was speaking into her intercom, “Suspected mutant activity at Liberty Island. Requesting backup- badges, not bolts. After the Sister School disaster, the last thing we need to do is get mixed up with Stalk... holy s***!” Genna fell silent. Lady Liberty had just taken flight. Genna didn't realize that she had 5 minutes and 24 seconds before the resulting wave would hit, causing massive property damage to the various warehouses and docks at New York's oceanfront edge.
“On second thought,” she continued, Maybe Stalkers are better suited to handling this type of situation.
Pluto couldn't help but be caught up in the urge to run like a maniac with Geo. at the very least he could anchor the three of them in one spot if the needed it, he didn't particularly want to go into the void when there were others they had exposed to this.
In the background Saturn could be heard honking his horn. Whether they were to take that as cheering or the warning it was said to be was unknown. The honking stopped as the realization of what was about to happen hit him as well.
Saturn pushed his hand into the earth holding tightghtly to the ground, hopefully the majority of it would dwindle before it go to him...He briefly wondered how much sea life would be washed a shore. Then he quickly followed this with wondering if any of the local seafood places would cok somethingthat fresh for him. no he wouldn't be going out to eat after this...he would be going back to labs. the people in the canteen he doubted took special orders. The others all ran into the main structruce that used to be under the statue. It would have to do for now.
" So, are you too mad at them, Kat?" Pluto asked as if he had nothing to do with it.
