The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hades asked to borrow the bow that Shogun had chosen. Holding it he began to speak “Use this bow well Shogun. A… long time ago I did a … small favour for a …. Friend in Japan, and in return he gave me this bow, it is one of the two remaining bows from the samurai era. The other one is proudly displayed in a museum in Japan. Using genetics and cloning I restored the bow, I have not used it. The last hand to put an arrow to this bow was a samurai. To be used in the fight for the freedom of mutants is a cause worthy enough for it. But do not forget what is symbolizes.”
Shaking himself out of his reverie, he motioned the others to the table where the map was spread out in front of them
It is now 1100 hours, we depart in ten minutes. Nox, Shogun you will be dropped off in sector C2 in the guise of part of the film crew. From that point on you have ten minutes to take care of the snipers. After you have done that, when I look up and nod towards the sky drop the dead snipers to the ground and take up sniping positions, you can shoot anyone who draws a weapon, I would prefer it if you did not kill them, but you can if you choose.
Right now for the rest of us, ten minutes after Nox and Shogun go active; we roll up at the intersection of C3 C4 and D3 D4. I have read the profile of the local crime boss, Luigi Mancini. Normally a short notice deal like this means that the buyer is desperate, so the Boss will show the gear to the client and then up the fee. With Luigi however, he tried to put clients off balance by demanding more straight off and threatening the client. So here is how things go, when we exit the vehicle, Abyss, stay near the back of the group, Shane and John will be with us, so stay behind them. When Luigi sends one of his grunts over, feel free to inflict as much pain as you want. Next Luigi will probably try to signal his snipers to take one of our guys out to cause confusion, at that point I will nod. Then the deal takes place. John you are in charge of verifying the cargo. Then Kami, you do the exchange, use whatever force is needed but don’t kill. Then we calmly go back to our vehicles. Any questions? If not lets go!”

Shogun nodded to Hades as he was given the bow back. "It shall not be damaged; I will treat it with honour." Shogun listened as hades outlined the plan. It sounded simple enough; sneak around the back, kill the snipers, and be ready to shoot anything that looks threatening. Shogun strapped the bow to his back, so that it crossed his sword. "I am ready."
Nox didn’t register Hades’ reminiscence, in fact her mind was still marvelling at ease in which she could now draw a blade, and it was only when Hades straight tone began once more that she focused upon his words. Looking at the map, she felt, rather unexpectedly, disappointed. This was down to the matter that there were only two suspected sniper position, and since she had to share, that left her with only one to ‘take care’ of. Well, I’ll just have to make sure its worth it, that and hope someone is foolish enough to draw their weapon. The plan was straight forward, and with what she knew about the others, she doubted there would be any trouble. Having no concerns, Nox followed Abyss over to the vehicles. Even though she had only one target it was still something, and she, like the others seemed to be, was eager to get going.

With all his team ready and the film crew in their big truck packed and ready to go, Hades started issuing orders. “Shogun, Nox you go with Shane in the car, you will tail the film crew’s rig, and the rest of us will go in the van, all right! Let’s go!”
With that they sped off into the country side, with the van following some way behind. En-route to the site Hades and Shane tested their heat signal radar, which they would use to track the heat signatures of humans, it hat a max range of over 4 km.
The radio earpiece that each operative was issued with buzzed to life. “Ok, Nox, Shogun, you have five minutes to take out the snipers, we go in regardless.”
Five minutes later the van containing Kami, Abyss, Hades and John pulled up round the corner. The van stopped, John, the driver stayed in the vehicle. As previously arranged Hades took Kami with him and with Abyss standing on the other side of Hades, as they formed a triangle formation.
The local crime boss, Lugi was there with a group of henchmen. Hades made his way towards them.
(OCC feel free to add to the description of the area and so on (i deliberately kept it brief as nto to hinder that), be aware that although this mission is planned things can and will change, and it will nto be as short and as clear cut as this so there will be PLENTY of action a bit later on, however if you want to add a bit of unexpected action just pm me.)

Kami listened to Abyss's explination of why he took weapons and nodded his understanding. Getting in the vehicles he calmly waiteded whcil experimenting a little more with the energy flows inside his body. Once they arrive Kami exiteded the vehicle and followed Hades towards those they intended to meet.
The journey passed in anticipation-filled silence as the van approached their destination at a snails’ pace, or so it seemed to the eager Nox. Arrival. Its wasn’t the anticlimax Nox had prepared herself for, in fact the rocky outcrop that was seen in between the green limbs of the forest was somewhat daunting and appropriate. Clearly this was one of those out-in-the-middle-of-no-where secret meetings, which were naturally the best ones, owing to the fact that the screams would go unanswered.
5 minutes to deal with the one sniper– Not a problem. Indicating to Shogun that she would take the one on the left, she made her way around the outcrop, so to enable her to come right behind her target. Though possibly too cautiously, she crept relatively slowly, ensuring not only to be soundless but also to keep an eye out for any sensors. Uneventfully, she soon reached the outcrop which thankfully turned out to be A.) without any scree and solid and B.) full of natural handholds – the slight climb would be easily manageable, even she supposable if laden with armour as Shogun was. The climb was soundless and within moments she was peering at her target, whose back was turned. His position was well picked: hidden behind a small collection of boulders and within a slight dip, it gave a complete view over the land embraced within the outcrop’s arms, which was the designated meeting spot. Realising from the bulk of clothing that he was protected, she knew a simple knife in the back wouldn’t solve this one, which was fine. A strong ray of sunlight, seemingly naturally, blinded the sniper momentarily, causing a convenient succession of blinking. It was in the middle of this that the sniper barely registered the cold steel, which spilled his life’s blood over the rock. Job done Nox took up the sniper’s former position, and noted that not even a surprised breath had been uttered. Perfect. Settling down to wait for the others to arrive, she sent out her awareness, firstly to discover whether the other sniper was still alive, and also to find all other human presence.

Shogun nodded as Nox crept off to deal with her sniper. He kept some attention on her just in case, and noted the incredible amount of professionalism. Quick and effificient; just like she should be. Shogun had long ago noted where his sniper was; on a large outcropping of rock, covered in plants. Perfect camoflage; against everyone but Shogun. He climbed up the back of the rock, and now had direct line of sight to the sniper. Unfortunately, there was a lot of scree going down toward the sniper.
Shogun pulled out his bow, and levelled it at the sniper. The arrow soundlessly flew at the target, the camoflage offering no protection, and it pierced his neck, severing the vocal chords before the man had a chance to make a sound. Because the sniper was already lieing down, his death only caused him to loosen his grip on his rifle. Shogun slid down the slope, keeping as quiet as he could, and making sure to stop himself whenever someone's atteniotn was sent his way. He was soon down where the sniper's corpse lay, and knelt behind the cover. He notched another arrow, and kept the bow taut as he waited to see what would happen.

The two groups of people stood facing each other, Just then Hade’s ear piece buzzed, it was Shane.
“Be aware, two 5 men teams have been sent to re-enforce the snipers, ETA 2 minutes, Shane out.”
Hades: “Roger that. Shogun, Nox, take them out.”
Lugi stepped forward at the head of his group of 15 men.
“Mr Abel.” He nodded “Only bringing two men with you? I am surprised. I am afraid that due to the suddenness of this deal I will need to up my price. Please remember that you are now on my turf.”His voice was smug, arrogant and snide.
“Is it not custom to see the good first?" Hades asked. " As for the price, it will stay the same, a deal is a deal Mr Lugi, no matter whose turf.” His voice was quiet, calm but it had a comanding presence of one not to be messed with.
“Is that so Mr Abel? I have more men than you, allow me to demonstrate.” He snapped his fingers in a rather flamboyant fashion and two burly human tanks stomped forward, they looked like tanks, they were built like tanks, all muscle and brawn.
“These are the twins, they would like to shake your hand and say Hi.” He said with relish and a evil smile.
“Ah! Then you must meet a Russian friend of mine who I bumped into the other day, he insisted on coming to see the famous Lugi so I brought him along, allow me.” Hades sounded very genuine and innocent.
“Ivan! There are two people who want to shake your hand, please give them my (pause) ‘warmest regards’.”
Lugi continued, “I also happen to have snipers covering you and your men, so it is pointless…” But Hades cut him off with a gesture. With a distinct nod of his head upward (the pre-arranged signal) he broke in. “Ah yes, I noticed your snipers… and their re-enforcements…” he trailed off at the sound of no less than twelve thuds hit the ground, spraying it with blood.
"I am sorry for your loss. They did not die a good death." “Mr Lugi, I do not have all the time in the world.”
He paused partly for effect, partly to fully savour the sounds of the twin’s screams as they encountered agony as never before. He spoke with force. “The goods, Now!”
Lugi, who was looking slightly shaken at this point, nodded and a man who looked what he was, an expert martial artist, stepped forward, or rather, seemed to flow forward so fluid was his motion. He opened the box and revealed a complex looking mechanism. Hades took out what looked like a hand held scanner and a ble light played across the mechanism. His ear piece buzzed, this time it was John. “Green for cargo.”
Hades nodded in satisfaction. He nodded at Kami, who was carrying the briefcase with the payment. The deal would be for Kami to hand over the money and then collect the goods. But after the money was handed over and checked, the man holding the goods kept one hand on the handle and would not let go. Suddenly he launched a rapid series of sweeping kicks at Kami’s feel aiming to knock him on the ground.
At the same time four men started to whip out weapons from under their jackets. Hades did not say a word or react, he had full confidence in Shogun and Nox to deal the most pain to these pathetic amateurs.
Her awareness had informed her of the coming of company just before the communications system did so, which meant by the time they arrived she was in a fighter’s crouch, muscles eager to spring into life as soon as her first target was presented to her. In fact, she had even indulged in a little bit of decision making before taking up her stance: Knives only. Stand here. I’ll start with these two. (‘these two’ referring to a pair of rather elegant throwing knives).
The first two fell sideways, precariously on the edge of the outcrop, each of them boasting a hilt that protruded from their windpipe. A slight gurgling was heard, as the men’s lungs began to fill with their blood; theirs was not an instant death. As soon as the knives had been sent on their way, her hand swept round and with a slight tap released a long, combat blade that the suit hid on her thigh. With which the third man was neatly killed, once the front of his neck was opened up. The fourth man, who was the first one to have processed what was happening and so react, came up behind her, but was met by a swift backwards stab that tore his stomach open. In a rather elegant spin, Nox then turned and plunged the blade into the last man’s beating heart. Done. With her blood still racing, Nox, surrounded by carnage and expanding pools of dark blood, retrieved her two blades, silenced the man who was trying to hold his intestines within his body, and took up her former position.
A quick expansion of her awareness revealed that Shogun had dealt with similar company in the same fast, efficient manner. It was a change to be surrounded by complete professionalism, a change that she would like to, but doubted she would, get used to. She watched the transition below with a focus only for potential danger, the rest of the proceedings didn’t sink in. Her vigilance was rewarded when four men, decided they would be foolish enough to lose their lives on this rather pleasant day. Trusting Shogun to do the same, she dealt with two of them instantly. Using redirected light from behind the outcrop, which began to experience complete darkness, she brought her two men to their knees in pain. The pain was down to their brains pressing against their skulls, due to the expansion that the focused heat was causing. The pain was incredibly vivid, since each and every pain sensor in their brains would be screaming. Coincidently the two men also had time for one, single, pain-caressed scream each, which tore its way around the woods, echoing off trees, before meeting the, now dead, men again.
A side effect, due to the expanding blood vessels, was that what appeared to be tears of blood crept down the victim’s face. A minor horrific and yet beautiful detail, which Nox had become fond of. It was the combination of the unexplained nature of the murders, the chilling screams, and the tears of blood, which resulted in this particular method being, firstly, perfect for its job, and secondly among Nox’s favourites. With her chilling threat dealt, Nox remained tense, ready to see if their response would be more violence.

OOC: Sorry about the wait, i be back now. Time for some fun killing lol
IC: Shogun had sensed the men, but kept his attention on the 'meeting'. He knew the men were headed right for him, so he could wait. Whilst doing so, he laid down his bow and drew his sword. He kept the blades within the hilt, and waited. Shogun started moving before Hades had begun to give the order; he leapt out from his cover and extended a blade straight into the first man's stomach. He then retracted it and simultaneously extended the other, making it seem like there was only one blade, and decapitated a second. Only now did the other's react. One pulle dout a handgun, but Shogun sheared the man's hand off and slid his sword through his ribs. He then extended both blades, and swirled toward the other two men. They were completly at a loss, as the black figure that had just slaughtered their teammates with ease swirled toward them. Shogun sensed that one was a bout to cry out, and so slew him with a swift strike before a sound could be heard. He kept the momentum, swirling all the way around into the last man, and left a gash across his front. Blood poured out from the severed heart, and the man collapsed.
Shogun cleaned his blades on some plants before quietly setting the bodies next to the edge of the precipice. Now with a swift kick one would fall, and the others would overbalance and follow. He picked up his bow and kept it ready. When Hades gave the signal, the samurai kicked one of the corpses, and they fell to the ground. As the men reached for their guns, one was dropped by an arrow before he reached it, and the other had just enough time to aim before another arrow seemed to grow out of the front of his throat.
Shogun had been paying attention to everything else going on as well, and was impressed at Abyss' show of strength. Nox had show considerable skill with her knifes, and seemed to take a strange amount of pleasure from the way she killed the two men down below. Shogun kept his bow ready, and paid special attention to Kami as he was attacked by another of Lugi's men.
After watching Abysses feat of strength it was Kami's turn. Compared to Abyss he must not seem like much of a threat. How wrong that assumption was. Walking over he handed the man the money and took hold of the handle of the suitcase. The man refused to reliquish the money, instead choosing to attack him.
Kami calmly blocked several kicks with his feet before retaliating. With his free hand he struck out at several pressure points along the man's arm that held the equipment they needed, forcing him to release it. As he did so Kami charged a small ball of energy in his hand, ensuring that it was kept out of sight of the other humans.
He slammed the energy into the man's chest, expanding and blasting it momentarily before he hit. The resultant force threw the man back twenty feet. Abyss wasn't the only one who could toss humans around. His part done, as Shogun and Nox had dealt with the other attackers, Kami turned and calmly walked back to stand beside Hades once more.

(OCC, This is going to be a MASSIVE fast moving post, so TAKE YOUR TIME in replying, as there is ALOT of ground to cover, please tell me if I’m moving too fast)
The intercom buzzed to life. “Well done men, lets pull out, us first then sniper team slowly, Shane will be there in the car to pick you up. John did we get the rest of the gear?”
“Confirmed sir.”
“Good, we meet back at the base, ill brief you on the way as we need to leave almost immediately to launch the attack tonight.”
John, Hades, Abyss and Kami were back in the van and when Hades got confirmation of the safe withdrawal of Nox and Shogun, he began his briefing. In the van a display screen flickered to life, the same happened in the car with Nox and co, but there was also a Psyite projector with that.
“This is the attack map.First things first, I want the death tool as low as possible, never kill unless you have to, also for weapons we will have to use items that Lugi’s gang uses, so Shogun you will have to trade that great bow in for a mini crossbow etc. We will enter the complex from the sewer system, I have the blueprint and Nox you should see it coming up. Heat sensors are you area. We have been pumping a Psyite compound down the sewer system for a few days. When we get there it will be night, and as the ground releases the head that it has absorbed during the day, it will trigger a release Psyite spores which will saturate the whole are, inside and out side of the buildings. It will be lit up like a Christmas tree for you Shogun, I even rigged them so they appear ill (dimmer to Shogun’s vision) when a strong light shines on them, so you will know where the search lights are.
When we reach the compound we split into three teams. Team 1 is Abyss and John. Shane, Nox and Kami will form team 2, me and Shogun will be team 3. Mole, a friend of mine, will be in charge of the cameras and will alert you if there are any random guards approaching. In each server complex there will always be a ten man team on patrol, they will have to be neutralised, and 4 men support teams will be sent in at random times.
You must realise that once me, Shane and John start hacking, and we will effectively be immobile. Also I have come up with some suggestions as to how you could ‘neutralise’ the ten existing guards, after that it will be up to you to use your ingenuity to take them out without being discovered.
Abyss, in complex one there is a room with cleaning supplies, some of which have a high concentration of ammonia which if inhaled will cause unconsciousness. You will be supplied with some ammonia grenades, I also had a crazy suggestion, what if after the soldiers inhaled the ammonia, before they passed out, if you could usher them into the void shout at them then send them back out they would get the impression that they had hallucinated.
Team two, in one of the corridors there is an access hatch to cooling pipes. Kami, if you can make it look like the pipe ruptured from inside, then Nox may be able to produce mass hypothermia. As for team tree there are some lubricant carrying pipes that we could make use off. Then we high tail out of there.”
They made a quick stop at base camp and then got on a modified sewage truck and headed towards the entrance of the sewer.
As soon as they were there, Shane and John dressed as maintenance workmen set up a safety tent around the manhole. As soon as there was adequate cover, the whole team descended into the man hole, at this point Hades asked Abyss to hand over the large cylinder that he had been charged with carrying. Hades set it out and triggered it. Immediately 6 steel rods radiated from the cylinder and punched into the sewer pipe, and large heavy duty sled unfolded and appeared to be attached to a winch mechanism.
“I had to get this extra heavy duty.” Said Hades glancing at Abyss briefly.
“Here is the plan, after we pass through the sensors, give us one minute then trigger them, after that Mole will delay the alarm reaching the control centre for ten minutes, so we need to be in and out in ten. Then we leave two of Lugi’s men shot dead at the foot of the manhole. Then we tip Interpol and get them to start a case against Lugi. So this sled will get us out quick, and since the route from he is just straight, I figured it would save you guys walking.”
Hades handed them each a swipe card. “Make sure you do not loose this, this will enable you to bypass all the security gates. Now Nox, give me a sec to time the lights and then when I should go we split and move out, and you trigger the heat sensors. Mole will confirm the triggering.”
One
Two
Three
“Go!”
Immediately just as the search lights swung away from a manhole identical to the one in the street, it moved out and 8 figures exploded it. Shane, John and Hades bypassed the gates and soon were inside the complexes, they had timed it so that the guards were just about to leave the guard houses inside the complex.
“Mole to teams 1,2 &3 heat sensor triggered, the guards are in the guard houses, team 1 yours will exit in 5 seconds, teams 2 and 3 your will exit in ten seconds.
Shane John and Hades and their team all managed to make the server rooms before the guards exited the rooms.
“Team 1 leader in position.” “Team 2 leader in position.”
“Team 3 leader in position.”
“Ok teams me, Shane and John will commence hacking in 5, so it is up to you to take care of the guards now, we cannot help you as we will need all our concentration to complete the hack. 5,4,3,2,1 initiate hack.”
On their computer screens there appeared lines and line of codes, as their fingers danced a complex dance over the keyboard of their unrolled keyboards and consoles. Orders and responses came thick and fast through the intercom, but softly as not to prevent Mole from alerting the groups of guards. “Load jolly roger.” “Loaded.” “Ok, activate the virus on my mark, 3,2,1 mark!”
“Suddenly Mole buzzed, team one you have incoming, 4 man team in 10.”
“Server one acquired.” “Server two check.” “Server three, ok prepare to attack the U.S firewall. Upload necessary programs. Mole how are we doing for time?”
“You have 3 minutes until you need to start pulling out. Team 1 4 man team coming in 5.”
“Initiate hack.” “Hard time cracking it sir.” “Come on we have one minute left or we wont have time for download, divide and conquer, Team1 section A of the code, Team 2 Section 3.” “30 seconds and ticking gentlemen, come on get us in!” “Almost sir, we are 80% through.” “10 seconds!” “Well done! We are through! Commence search for files and initiate download.”
“TEAM 2, 4 man support team in 2.”
Now that the firewall was out of the way the downloads were fast. “Camp blueprints, bracelet schematics, Registration database, guard list… downloading.”
“Good job, John break off and commence trapdoor. I need to change a few files myself.”
“Affirmative.”
Hades had finished changing the log files of the servers and inserting a few programs of his own design here and there, and was browsing the UK server top secret files when he froze for a second, for on the screen in front of him was the folder [Operations: Hushed Casket] With slightly trembling fingers he accessed the files and his eyes were drawn to a file labelled Agent 66. instinctively he knew it was him. He downloaded that to a personal storage device he brought with him and was about to access that file of his brother, Dragon King (agent 67) when it suddenly disappeared.
“Sir we are not alone. Time remaining 20 seconds.” “Confirmed, let me deal with that.” Hades send the hacker a message.
“Downloads complete, all teams evac now!”
(Note: something to come back to later, the other hacker in the system prepared the way for The meeting of the two
(OOC sorry for the long wait, and sorry if I missed anything)
The transition between one job and the next was a blur, since, still uptight from adrenaline and focus, Nox took in nothing unless it was of consequence. Preparing to enter the sewage Nox was able to recall Hades words - she knew exactly what she was to do - though she couldn’t remember listening. Running on instincts, that was what she was doing and she doubted she would return to rationality until the night’s events were through. Her instinct, however, were trained, and though not within what was normally considered logic, they were precise and succinct, and exactly what you needed in a fight
She held back the heat sensors with ease, bypasses such things was become habit. Once a basic understanding had been gained they were one and the same; all you had to do was to effectively ‘push’ the beam back to the sides, so that, though still registered by the senses, the light only existed for a few centimetres. Keeping carefully control over the sensors she waited for Hades’ word to release them. As soon as she was able to register it she reacted by simply forcing the energy out, the abrupt disruption of the light instantly triggered the sensors, and so the alarms spurred themselves into life, spoiling the previously serene night.
Nox and Kami had a very simple job: prevent anyone from disrupting Shane. First on the list was the 10-man team: following Hades’ somewhat pesky orders, Nox didn’t go for a knife but rather she sent her awareness out, and so having firmly placed her control over the energy in the room before her, she set to work. She didn’t even need to step into the room, and so stood outside it as the guards sat unknowingly inside, with an abrupt mental push she then stole all the heat and light (the light as well so that any video cameras would be unable to see the following inexpiable events)from the room. Keeping her steady drain on the infrared rays she ensured that any heat their bodies futilely tried to produce was taken. Their fate was sealed. It didn’t take long for the harden security guards to drop into unconsciousness, there is after all only so long our bodies can rely on nothing. When all of them had done so, Nox returned just enough energy to prevent them from serious damage, while she waited for Shane to finish. While she had been acting she had been relying on Kami not only to damage the pipes as suggested but also to ensure that any others who decided to join them would meet a similar fate. Moments later the rushed order of evacuation was given and so the group quickly made its way to the designated and entered the dark world of the sewers once more.

Kaim listened intently to the briefing and soon enough was at the complex. He swiftly followed Nox into the compound and allowed her to deal with the guards while he created the excuse. Placing his hands against a coolent pipe he formed a ball of energy inside and expanded it. The pipe buckled outwards before rupturing and allowing the coolent to flow into the room.
His training in the mountains meant Kami barely noticed the temperature drop and he trusted Nox to keep Shane and herself warm. So he waited patiently while Shane went to work. The arrival of a guard patrol saw him move into action once again. Swiftly reaching the entrance he leapt up and wedged himself above the door. The four man team entered and upon spotting the coolent leak moved forward to investigate, weapons up.
Kami dropped down silently behind them, utilising a new technique to suspendhimself just above the floor using energy projected from him feet. Lashing out with each hand he hit the temples of the rearmost guards, then caught them and lowered them soundlessly to the floor. Walking fractionally above the floor on a layer of energy he did the same to the other half of the patrol. With the threat neutralised he once again waited for Shane to finish his work.

A soon as the projector started up, Shogun began memorising the layout. He assumed that there was a hologram as well, as everyone else was paying close attention to it. He listened to Hades as the briefing was given, making mental notes. Hades wanted a low death toll; so aim to injure. Only use Luigi’s weapons; so he’d have to use a crossbow. He hated crossbows. But there was good news; psyite would cover the area, allowing him to see everything and to have an idea where the lights were. It was good thing he had been practising his focus; that amount of psyite at once could potentially make it difficult to tell what’s going on. The fact that’ll he’ll have to pay attention to the searchlights would make it all the more interesting.
It was certainly an interesting ride through the sewers, but Shogun spent the time focussing on the complex ahead. There was psyite everywhere. He first of all focussed on working out his route; he and Hades had the furthest to go to reach their building. He could tell where all the buildings were, and human consciousness was very different to psyite, so he could make out the guards. The difficult bit was finding the spotlights. The psyite didn’t change in intensity that much, so it was hard to pick out. The fact that they were moving helped; they were easier to notice when they weren’t just part of the background.
Just as the searchlight moved from the manhole, Hades gave the word. Shogun leapt from the hole, and making sure Hades was following, he sprinted for the building. He had been keeping track of the guards in his building since before they had left the sewer, and knew where they were going to move to. He waited outside the door as the guards moved past, and then swung it quietly. He held the crossbow pointed at the rear guard’s neck, and fired. The guard dropped, and the others spun round. Shogun moved faster, dropping the cross bow and drawing his swords, swiftly extending and separating them. He sliced through the first two guards before they knew what had happened, and he threw one of his swords as the rear most one. As the guards’ attention was diverted, he rushed forward, slicing with his other sword.
He decapitated one of the guards, and ran his sword through the stomach of another. He kicked one guard against a wall and he removed his sword and sliced across another guard’s chest in one movement. He impaled the one he had kicked, and turned to face the other two as he retrieved his thrown sword. They were both paralysed with fear at seeing a silhouette annihilate their team mates. One fumbled with his radio, but hogun calmly stepped forward and ran a sword through each man’s ribs. Their hearts pierced, they dropped to the floor. Hades moved into the lab room as Shogun kept track of the remaining guards. The ones in the complex had been neutralized, but others would probably arrive at some point. Shogun stayed by the door, as he wiped his blades on one of the guards before sheathing them and retrieving the cross bow. He loaded it, and waited.
As Hades swiftly did whatever he was doing, Shogun ignored the chatter of the three hackers and instead focussed on the guards. The other teams were doing well; Abyss used some side of his power that intrigued Shogun, and Kami was showing new abilities as well. When Hades had finished, Shogun moved back out into the complex, keeping the cross bow ready. He quickly worked out a route to the sewers that was close to a straight line, but avoided all the spot lights and guards. He and Hades rushed for the sewers, dropping in shortly after Nox.
