The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(Time is two days after the resistance meeting, at noon, one hour before the meeting Hunter arranged for those who were interested in helping to capture a Stalker Robot.)
Katrina made her way toward the training rooms where she and Calley had met up with Deja and Geo. This time she carried a tuna sandwich instead of a BLT. It was going to be quite a long wait before the meeting started, but it was essential that Katrina be the first to arrive at training room one. This was because she didn't want anyone else to know that she was there. She was curious and bored, so she decided to visit training room one and listen to how the bot-catching team was going to manage to capture one of the redoubtable reptilian robots. She planned on finding a really good place to hide and practicing her invisibility to give her extra added protection against detection.
As she reached training room one, she noticed a black and white cat with a black tip on its tail in the hallway outside of the door. When she opened the door to the training room, the cat brushed past her leg and entered the room ahead of her. He reminded Katrina of Jeeves, back at home. Jeeves was also black and white, but the pattern of his fur made it look like he was wearing a tuxedo. This cat was spotted. “You can keep me company as long as you don't give away my hiding spot,” she told him as she closed the door behind her.
She looked around the room for a good hiding place, in case her invisibility ran out before the meeting finished up. She settled herself down behind some training equipment that hid her completely from the door, but would allow her to see what was happening in the center of the room. If she ducked down farther, she would be hidden from all angles except directly along the wall opposite the door. All settled into her hiding place, she unwrapped her tuna sandwich and began to eat her lunch while she waited.
(Feel free to ignore Katrina over in the corner. Don't worry about waiting for her to take a turn posting, as she is just listening in and would be perfectly happy to not be discovered.)
((ooc: Target Practice is an NPC cat, who was introduced in this thread for the sole purpose of making Kaz paranoid. He looks almost exactly like Calley's "Kitten" form. Cheers!
Oh, and you may also all ignore Target Practice's presence. Or not, if you see fit. ))
The small white cat with black spots here and there was not doing anything in particular. And he was doing it with perfection, right up until the little bipedal passed him, carrying mayonnaised fish. Needless to say, he decided to extend his acquaintance with the lass beyond a mere hallway passing. He was not, however, following her. He entered the room first, with his tail raised like a flagship's sail: she entered after him, so she was the one following him. This was the way of such things: young bipedals with tuna frequently went out of their way to follow cats. They were rather clingy young things, like that. Oh well. He'd be willing to share her food with her.
Target Practice--the sounds with which the bipeds had dubbed him, and which he occasionally submitted himself to responding to--followed the girl to her hiding place, waited for her to unwrap his sandwich, then lightly stood on her knee, and delicately stretched out his neck to it. He allowed her to help him eat it, of course.

(OOC: Crystal is currently not visible, watching from the holo-projectors. Add her to the list of those to be ignored. )
Crystal was patrolling the trainings rooms again, mainly to get the layout in mind this time, when one of the sensors lit up. Someone had entered one of the rooms. Naturally she went to see who. She didn't project her image yet, as she wished to get a look at the trainee before they got a look at her. One thing she was finding was that privacy was quite in demand in this place.
Needless to say, she was more than a little surprised to find a child in the room, with a cat in tow. Or a cat with a child in tow. Iris often said that it was the animals that owned the humans, not the other way around, a statement that Crystal had initially assumed to be illogical. After all, weren't humans supposed to be the most intelligent creatures on the planet? It only took a few days of study for the hologram to decide that human intelligence left much to be desired.....
Back to the matter at hand, what was a young girl and a feline doing in a training room on their own? Had they become lost? It was possible; the Labs were little more than a labyrinth. Or perhaps engaging in a game of hide and seek? Possible, but unlikely, as the girl was currently eating. Were they mutants awaiting a speciallized training session? Given the current world situation, highly possible.
Her curiosity piqued, Crystal devoted a portion of her processing power to monitor the pair's activities, while the rest continued with their mapping.

OOC: And now for a character that's not to be ignored lol
IC: Shogun arrived at the training room fairly early, as he wanted to use the annexed changing rooms to get into hit armour. Long before he entered the room, he sensed the young girl from the meeting and a cat, which he noted was just a cat, not a mutant, going into the room. He was a little surprised, seeing as how he doubted a small girl and an even smaller animal would be much help, but Shogun didn't particularly care.
He went in, with his armour in a large shoulder bag, and went straight for one of the changing rooms. Ten minutes later, he was out again, resplendant in his shining gold armour, with what appeared to be a short staff slung across his back. He completly ignored the girl and her pet, and drew out the staff. It was actually his swords, but the blades were slid into it, hiding them completly. He used the switch under one of his gauntlets to turn on the armour's field, and waited. He could sense other coming, but the ever pervasive shroud of the labs made them difficult to make out. But they were human, or mutant, and definatly headed this way. They should be here soon.
Mandain was a bit wondering around after a nice sleep when he thought about Hunter's request for a dangerous mission, the catching of a stalker. Since Mandain's gift would be a nice touch to helping them in there goal he decided to go over to the training facility. Finding the training area wasn't that hard, since he met Shogun at that spot. Making his way over to the spot it, there wasn't much to do around the endless hallway's. People walking around and chatting not much more, no great action with powers was to be seen. "Maybe the training area is more fun at the moment" and he continued his way over.
When Mandain made his way over Horus gave a little advise, just for fun. "Mandain, Be guard on, knows who what there be might" "No worries Horus stay calm and stay in the mind for ones." Horus calmed down and went silent, for some reason Mandain and Horus were getting a long, or at least that was what Mandain thought.
Arrived at the spot he walked in seeing a friend, yes Shogun was there too. "So, You're here too, gonna help catch the stalker?" Mandain smiled and made himself comfortable leaning on a nearby wall that was used for some sort of exercise.

Hades was also notified of the meeting and was double checking the last of the presentation that he would need to give. He wandered towards the room, thinking if there was no one there he might even get to do a bit of training to relax before the meeting started. *I wonder what type of training these people will have had* He wondered, the group dynamics would be interesting to observe. Leisurely he strolled towards the room.

Shogun nodded to Mandain as he entered, glad that Horus was keeping out of it. He had notice Horus rise up a little, and dropped away of his own accord. Maybe they were learning to get along? "I will do what I can." Mandain would certainly be a good choice whenever combat against Stalkers was involved, providing that Horus didn't try and intervene. He doubted that Horus' sword or his pet bugs could be that much help, especially when compared to mandain's ion. Ah, but the next person heading for the room caught a lot more of Shogun's attention. Hades. Maybe he would have a smaller version of his device ready, so that Shogun would have a better chance against the Stalkers?

Dr. Hades strode into the room, “Hello” he said. From a sack he carried he extracted a bundle, which looked liked it contained a canister and an assortment of other items. Turning towards shogun Hades said “Hey Shogun, catch.” Having before coated the sack in organic particles, After seeing shogun effortlessly catch the sack, he also walked over and handed him an object that looked like a PDA. The buttons were engraved with an organic substance, but to the naked eye it was a smooth object. “I trust these will be to your satisfaction, if not just let me know if you want me to make any adjustments.
Turning to Abyss, “Hey, how is it going?” tossing him a set of keys Hades said “I took you up on your suggestion, when you are free pop over to the vehicle bay, got a little something for you.”
Turning to the other people, he introduced himself. “Hello, my name is Dr Hades, I am the new armour an outfitter for missions and the like. Please to meet you, sorry I don’t actually know many of you as I just got here not too long ago.”

Interesting. The large tailed one from the meeting was coming down the hall. Seven times. Interesting. Apprent, he could create copies of himself. That would explain the multiple personalities he had sensed in the meeting. He left Mandain to answer the man's question, as he attention was distracted by Hades' arrival. He noted that Hades had already coated his sack in (we really need to come up with a name for that stuff lol), and so Shogun was able to quickly switch off his armour before catching it. Before he had a chance to look inside, Hades handed him a small device, that was similar to the keyboards that seem to litter the labs, but the buttons were only visible to him. Cunning. He opened the bag, and looked at the collection of gismos.
The first thing he noticed was that everything had been covered in the sense bacteria. This helped to identify everything in the sack without even opening it, but he did so anyway so that he could feel the weights of the various objects. Firstly, was a quiver of arrows. He pulled it out, and strung it over his back. He then mimed pulling one out and fitting it to a longbow. It was the same weight as his old ones. Impressive. He also noted the rounded end; it must contain more sense bacteria. He then fished out the next set of items; a collection of balls, about the size of snooker balls. Sense grenades. They released more bacteria than the arrows, but he had to throw them. Useful if the enemy got close, which is where he would want them.
As Mandain was leaning against the wall, more residents came in. One skull looking man thing came walking inside introducing himself as the new armour an outfitter for missions. "Hey, I'm Mandain nice to meet you" and he gave a wave. Not so long after a big red thing with a tail came walking in, and it wasn't just the one that spook to him at the meeting, but now there were a lot of them, all looking the same. Mandain didn't get any memory flashes of the red thing in the meeting, but some how memory parts started popping up again, had he already meet that thing? "Well, Nice to meet you too" as he nodded with a smile to the red thing. How many of us were coming he had no idea so Mandain kept his mouth shut. Horus was staying relaxed in the back of his head, and Mandain gave a thought to him: "If I get wounded or anything, just stay inside, please, Only if I die you can protect me this time" Mandain wasn't waiting on a response since the request he asked was not Horus his style. "Dr. Hades, are we gonna get some special stuff for those stalker things?"

Kaz had arrived around 10am, well before anyone else. Knowing it would be awhile before they showed up, he had gone up to the overhanging rafters used for observation during training. He had fallen asleep quickly, to be woken up by a multitude of voices from below, as well as now being in his shifted form. Yawning, which would sound a bit more like a low growl, though quite loud at the moment, Kaz stretched his large arms in the air, letting the joints pop and crack. "Ya'll noisy down there." Standing up he grabbed his gi shirt and slung it over his back, holding on to it with one of his smaller arms. "So are you all the only ones that are showing up?" Speaking to himself in a quiet tone, "Crappy turn out." Putting his foot on the rail, he pushed off into the air a bit, before dropping to the floor with a loud *THUD!*
Kaz looked at the four...six? people. Turning his head to look around the room he thought heard breathing away from the rest of the group. Shrugging, "Except for Abyss, I know next to nothing about the rest of you besides your names." He paused for a second, "Care to fill me in." Kaz shifted back to his normal form, putting his gi shirt on, the pure white of the outfit with the intricate silver embroidery fit the man perfect.

Hades looked at him and recognized that this was now the man he took orders from. He stepped forward. He was wearing black. “Sir, I am the new scientist here, I was charged with the safe retrieval and delivery of the stalker to the Laboratory without being discovered. I am also the current resident amourer and vast resources have been placed at my disposal to ensure that you are best equipped for any missions. Other than that sir, I am yours to command, I am human but have had covert ops training, and by profession aside from being an inventor, I am also an assassin sir.”
Hades reverently hoped that this temporary employer was as good at giving him challenging tasks as Hunter had been.
Hunter's offer of catching a stalker held definite appeal to the infinitely curious Tris. However, since her and Kit's double team performance a week or so ago had highlighted- she still had a ways to go in controlling her powers, Tris was a perfectionist in this aspect, 'adverage' just wasn't good enough. Tris had hummed and hawed about whether she'd actually be useful here, whether she'd be able to keep up with whichever of the group of intimidatingly good mutants might come along- she felt like a little fish in a very big pond now. On the one side was her fascination with seeing these supposedly scary robots close up, seeing what they could do, seeing why some of the others were so afraid of machines, on the other, her afore mentioned lack of confidence in her control- she didn't wanna embarrass herself while in the presence of more mature mutants. However after afew debate in her own head, eventually she came to the decision that she could blow stuff up or freeze it with rather good aim, she might come in handy, also was the fact she could hang back and learn some stuff, possibly see some other wicked powerful mutants in action, and defiantly learn a thing or two- she couldn't resist such a combination as that....which was why she was striding down the corridor towards training room 1 with a purposeful tread.
Tris stepped into the doorway, hesitating on the threshold as she saw the people already occupying the room, some of which she knew, some she didn't. She waved vaugly to all and called out; "Is this a private stalker stalking party, or can anyone join?"
Voltaire took his coat and put it on. He put his hood over his face and he went of to find the training room. He heard of mission that involved catching a stalker bot and Voltaire was interrested in joining.
He walked down the hall until he saw a room full of people. He thought that this might be the right place. He was a bit anxious of going into the room seeing as he knew nobody there. He decided to walk another round trough the hallways to make up his mind of joining this mission.
When he walked towards the door of the training room he just saw a dark red haired woman enter the room. he could hear her say: "Is this a private stalker stalking party, or can anyone join?" Now he knew this was the right place to be. He walked into the room and saw all kinds of people in it but none of them where familiar to him. He walked towards the left wall and stood against it looking down at the ground with his arms crossed over each other.
