The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

What does one do when they are in a strange place and trying to adapt. Often they try to find familiarity. Some take solace in routine, Some in the other realms via books, video games, tv shows, etc... . It's the escape from the uncertainty and the here and now that they crave. Getting lost in the actions and mind set that allows them to function. For Herbert he often found that in one of three places in his home. His workshop building the next custom piece for his site, his room playing on his computer with Murphy at his side. Or as he stood now completely lost in the controlled chaos of the kitchen as pots and pans sizzled and bubbled away. The cook staff quickly got to know the young man and didn't think twice of him and his projects.
Always cleaning up after himself he left the kitchen with a small snack or a serving of whatever he decided to make that day and the rest … he just left out on the table with a small sign that said. “Free, Help your self.” Usually it was things like baked goods, Muffins, cookies, homemade protein bars, tarts, and other tasty treats. But today he was tackling something a little larger. He had noticed that there were plenty of folks who would come and go at all hours. Often coming into the kitchen looking for meals for some reason or another. Yet having to settle for something like a quick sandwich. Which to Herbert was only something someone should have with lunch and a bowl of soup.
So he figured he would take a stab at solving that issue with an old classic idea. Premade frozen home cooked dinners. Not wanting to waste the kitchens budget on something
like this he had delved into his own funds and placed a few orders online to local butchers and farmers markets. And perhaps it was fate but the morning of October 31st It all came in to his delight and confusion of the kitchen staff.
So for the past 4 and a half hours Herbert was lost in his own little world. The ear buds filling his head with an eclectic mix of hard rock, heavy metal, pop, anime theme music and even a few classics as he busied himself about the kitchen filling it with all sorts of smells. Rotisserie chicken and Roast Beef were the predominant smells. But for those with more sensitive noses the use of herbs was very heavy as well. Opening up the oven he based a few birds before shutting the door and moving over to another oven that dinged and removed a large tray of steaming crusty buns. Which he placed on the make table and began to coat the tops with a brush of garlic and herb butter so that before the crust hardened entirely the bread would be infused with the flavors. "Ok my pretties. Just let you cool then in about 20 I should be able to start portioning." Wiping his hands on a damp tea towel he looked at a few timers and tried to tick off some things in his head. "Now where did I leave my carving knife?" He muttered as he moved over to the chopping block and the huge resting slab of beef.

Aoi came back from her power training class, it was one of the few things school wise that continued to frustrate the young Japanese girl, as well as the shifting issue with her clothing, it had put her in more then one situation she would of rather avoided. Still today had gone well, she had only tried to eat Jorge once and since he could turn into water their was not to much the Bear could do about it. She had felt bad but as usual Jorge continued with the lesson in a friendly and understanding manner.
Changing also made her hungry and she had to eat every few shifts, or not be able to shift back from bear mode. This and a lack of clothing were why a nine hundred pound animal was gently trotting down the mansion hall, a few people startled til they realized Aoi was in control. Her power issue was well known both because of safety and because the bear had on many occasions ripped her door off it's hinges and caused property damage to both the mansion and various other places in the city. Their had been the time she and a zombie dinosaur shifter names amber had totaled the kitchen and the time she had woken outside with the bear in control and had tried to eat kalos. That girl had been so sweet to her despite that.
It was then the scent of food hit her nose, her powerful nose drinking in the smell like a fine wine. Her stomach rumbled in agreement and she almost forgot to check her dry erase marker. She made sure it worked with a slow but determined jaw not quite built for the task and a modified dry erase board that let her steady the board as she tried to write. It was an imperfect solution but it had scared people less when the bear could communicate a bit. She could smell whoever was in the kitchen was not someone she knew and so in somewhat bad handwriting she wrote. "Hello My name is Aoi, I am thirteen and enjoy ice fishing. the last part a joke on her part even thought the bear was built for it and walked into the kitchen, she let out a a low grunt to alert who was there but was paralyzed for a second as she picked through the various medley of scents in the kitchen. If the bear instincts had understood the lottery, they would have thought she had hit the jackpot and Aoi found it hard to disagree.
She could only hope the boy read her note before screaming or rather not scream at all. It was hard to know how use to mutants he was and even if was how he might take this, and it was not easy to look friendly when you had ten six inch claws that looked like steak knifes and teeth meant for crushing bone and consuming flesh.
Unfortunately for Aoi her grunt to let folks know she was there had fallen on deaf ears. Or rather Herbert's ear buds were blocking the sound of her snorting grunt from grabbing his attention. Blasting in his head was the song Wake me up by Avicii. Which had him moving about a little lighter on his feet than most times. Some called the song pop, some rock, hell some said it's beat put it more in the country aspect. Herbert didn't care. It often made him feel better. It was a guilty pleasure song like Freaks by Timmy Trumpet.
Having found his carving knife he was busy slicing the huge roast into slices trimming the fat and sliding off the off bits into a bowl. “I tried carrying the weight of the world. But I only have two hands. Hope I get the chance to travel the world! But I don't have any plan aaans!” The rest of the lyrics he began to mumble sing as he worked. Lost entirely to the moment and song he finished carving the bark and slices stacking them. Picking up the bowl of odd ends he did a bit of a shuffle step and spun looking down at the bowl as he moved to walk over to place the bowl on another table when he felt it.
Now most folks have a danger sense. Some it's sharp and others couldn't figure out if a building was falling on them. But as the big ass bear trundled her way into the kitchen that danger sense kicked into high gear for Herbert. Only this time his distracted mindset had not allowed his brain to process it in time and as he looked up he came face to face with one of the largest and most ruthless predators in the world. Eyes popping wide in shock and horror his body stiffened and he began to tremble. The scent of fear flowing off him in waves and if he wasn't so tense at that moment he would have laid even money that he would have been even more grateful that he was wearing brown pants that particular day.
“Whoa! … I ah … ah ah ah ah” Slowly stepping back wards his hands shaking making the meat in the bowl jiggle and dance to the point a few of the end pieces flew out and splatted on the floor with meaty thunks. “Oh geez. Oh god. Oh Nutbunnies. Nnnnnn no I'm not vvv vvery good to eat mmm mmmm mr. Bear.” Taking a final step back and thinking he had a chance the young man just seemed to vanish from sight. Though what had actually happened was he had let go of the bowl leaving it to hit the floor with a BONG spreading meat all over the floor as he shrunk down to 1 cm in height in an instant and high tailed it under the counter like a mouse being chased by the most pissed off tom cat you could imagine.

Aoi was relieved when the boy seemed more concerned about the food then her. Then he saw her started to scream and mentioned the thing Aoi feared the most. Accidentally Aoi waved her paws and shook her head in what for a human would of been a no, you got it wrong kinda gesture but for a polar bear likely just looked scarier. Before she could point to her dry erase board the guy had dissopeared. she could smell him, but not see him and their to many competing scents and then the Bear and Aoi spotted the dropped plate of meat now on the floor. Since no one could eat it anyway and she could not find the the cook who had made it, she instead sat down on her hind quarters and impaled one of the pieces of meat, ripping it in half and swallowing bites of it. She finished the plate in a few moments and picked up the bowl with her mouth and set it gently in the sink.
Her hunger abated she again looked around for the boy, still smelling his strong fresh scent. she wonderd if he could turn invisible and for that reason Aoi did not change back, had he been a girl the nudity would have been awkward but boy's were different and even though she had cloths hidden not far off. Instead she reared up and looked around the room, bumping her head on the light and smashing one of the bulbs. Still not seeing the boy, Aoi opened the freezer, keeping it open a few moments to bathe in the chilling warmth before extracting some ice cream, she then retrieved a spoor, which was awkward in her paws given she had to use both.
Aoi hoped the insanity of a Polar bear eating ice cream with a spoon would jar the boy's senses into thinking Mutant and not scary Bear. Not that she could blame him, she was fully awhere of the raw power she had at her disposal. She knew how easy it would be to accidentally hurt someone much more the damage she could do if she had wanted to. In the meantime, Aoi was content, at least nothing had been broken this time.
Hiding behind the leg of the counter Herbert stood there peeking out at the utterly confused bear as he looked about and snuffled. It was obviously looking for him and knew he was still there. But for the life of the white fluffy killing machine it couldn't pin him down. Of course it looked down at the veritable feast of roast beef ends and spiced bark from the outer bits and tore into them with hunger and abandon. Yet the movements were delicate and measured as well. More like it was eating out of a needed hunger rather than a ravenous need to tear into something. And it really seemed to be appreciating it as well. Licking the whole area clean and even picked up the dropped bowl and placed it gingerly in the sink.
The whole situation was bizarre beyond measure. It was like watching those old coca cola commercials around Christmas time. And those weird LG washing machine commercials where the grizzly bear took off it's fur and washed it. Then put on the now white hide and walking off as a polar bear. Moving around when the bear's back was to him, Herbert leaped up onto the counter top and moved from appliance to appliance watching. What sealed the whole thing that this wasn't a typical bear was when it got up lumbered over to the freezer and pulled out some ice cream for dessert. It was almost comical as she attempted to use one of the big spoons to work at opening the lid.
It was when the bear looked up and around again that Herbert noticed the collar and sign. Parts of it was smudged from moving around and the fur brushing over it. But he was able to still read it for the most part. “.... Ice fishing? …. would be funnier if she said paintball.” Was all Herbert could think to say in his diminutive state. Without a bullhorn or loud speaker of some kind to amplify his voice there was no way she would have heard him anyways.
So finally calmed down enough to want to take a second crack at things Herbert moved over to the edge and leaped across the counter to the table and then to a open spot on the floor keeping the table between the two in case he had to run. Relaxing the mental muscle he returned to normal size and popped up into view again. Looking at her obviously ready to bolt again if needed he gestured at her slowly. “You're nn not going to tt tt try and eat me are you? I mean you just pp polished off about 4 lbs of roast beef tips. …... out of cc curiosity …. how were they? I was worried about tt too much pp pepper in the spice mix.”

The sudden size shift alerted her ears, in her distraction she bit down the bear's teeth put deep dents in the spoon she had grabbed, her jaws much like her claws were built for ripping seals out of ice holes and not for managing silverware. She kept the bears instinctual alarm down having thought the boy might just reappear though still not quite understanding his power having been to distracted by the ice cream. She looked to the exit thinking it might be better just to change back, but decided against it wanting to test out communicating in bear mode.
Four lbs? she considered what she had just eaten, her toungue licking stray flecks of once cream from her nose. She blinked once and grabbing the dry erase board cleared it with the fur on the back of her paw and began writing slowly to make sure the writing was able to be read. she had to erase a few times the tips of her back paw becoming slightly blue. "I do not eat people. Food was good, more pepper, be better when human. Do you turn invisible?" she said her lines not to straight and the letters in some areas were shaky. She was very very glad she was not trying to write in Japanese this way, the bear's hand was not up the taste of the more delicate letters and words.
Part of her wondered if the boy had like fifteen more pounds of the meat. Though perhaps it was best not to be greedy. She had been unsure how to explain her sense of taste in Bear mode, it was much more bland then her own. Dropping the battered sppoon she squeezed the ice cream contained devouring the rest of the quart with just a few seconds of chewing and crumpled the ice cream carton. Standing she rose for a moment rising almost nine feet in height almost hitting one of the over head lights as she stretched. "I Like to cook as well, mostly fish" she added to the the erase board. In Japan she had eaten fish a lot and the bear liked the fish as well as their never seemed to be any seals in major cities.
She settled back down onto all four's and considered another issue her presence might have. She was a very big, very furry Bear in a kitchen where food was being prepped. For a moment Aoi pitied whoever had the unfortunate task to vacuum the place considering all the fur and hair. She speared a sausage with a claw and ate it in two bites. She wa adjust glad this had seemingly ended without a fight, or property damage, always a win in Aoi's mind, though the mansion was usually understanding.
Well the bear wasn't attacking him immediately so that was a good thing. Plus watching it manhandle … or was it bear batter? Meh it was amusing how the bear grasped and fumbled with the board. Yet seemed to be adept at writing. Stepping slightly closer he leaned to look at what was being written and did his best to puzzle out what was being implied. At the mention of not eating people He visibly relaxed but when she said it needed more pepper he gave a confused look. The second part about being better human probably meant it wasn't enough for the bear form? Wait … bear form? So she was some kind of shifter. Well that made sense now that he thought about it. I mean why the hell would they allow a bear to roam around the school with kids. But it was the last question that made him blink. Invisible? Wait that's right she lost track of him and to anyone unable to catch it it would look like that. Smiling he shook his head no. “N .. nn No I don't turn invisible. I … I'm a shh shh shh.” Shaking his head he grumbled. “I'm a shrinker. I get really really small.” He held up his thumb and forefingers till they were about a centimeter apart to indicate how small he could get.
It was interesting watching her polish off a gallon of ice cream that quickly. He even winced a bit thinking about the brain freeze. It was when she started writing again and he read that she liked cooking as well especially fish that something clicked in Herbert's mind. Her name Aoi had been a little odd to start with but after trying to think of what cooking styles she would prefer he blinked. Looking at the bear he tilted his head and said in slightly accented Japanese, without a hint of stuttering. “Ki i te moushiwakearimasen ga, shi o rikai shite i masu ka?” (Sorry to ask, But do you understand me?)

Shrinking made sense, it explained why she could smell him still as well. Not that invisibility would of prevented that she reminded herself. At least he seemed calm now, she was glad for that, less fear lead to fewer accidents and much less property damage should things have gotten to out of hand. She considered the size he could go to and was impressed, the bear certainly would have issues with something smaller then a mouse. He also had adaped relatively quickly which was always worth points to Aoi.
Aoi's ears twitched hearing her native tongue, he was a clear speaker of Japanese anyway. She contained her excitement realizing that it could be seen as scary to the kid in front of her. Aoi thought he might be older then she was but it was hard to tell by how much and she supposed it did not matter much when their were people Like Evelyn around. The smaller girl still annoyed Aoi.
She decided to try and reply in Japanese on the board, it was harder recalling the English letters instead of kanji that made up each word but she felt this was likely safer. She realized addressing him was a bit odd without his name so she mentally made sure to ask as she she was writing. She was really glad she had not gone with the kanji she realized, the Bear's mouth lacked the dexxterity for it. "Watashi wa anata o rikai shite imasu, anata wa totemo jōzu ni hanashimasu. Tabemono o tabete shimatta koto o owabi shimasu. Shifuto suruto onaka ga herimasu. Namae o oshiete moraemasu ka? Shin'iridesu ka?" (I do understand you, You speak very well. I apoligize for eating the food, shifting makes me very hungry, can i get your name please? Are you new?}
Keeping a respectful distance Herbert noticed a bit of a pick up in the bears movments as it began tot write again. It was obviously a task and a half given the paws. Which made him wonder if she was stuck in this form or why she didn't want to switch back. Which got him wondering what happens to her cloths when she shifts? Or would her human form have a natural fur bikini like in anime's? WAIT was she a bear girl?!! did she have the ears of a bear and a little cute tail in human form? Blushing slightly at the mental image he shook his head a bit before looking back down at the board. Sure He could speak Japanese but reading it was a little tricky for him. So he was muttering and sounding out the message on the board before it clicked and the message became clear to him.
Looking at her in surprise he took a few steps back and held up his hands in apology. “aa i ya daijoo da shi ha sore o saku tte i tano de, hitobito ha kimyou na jikan ni ie ni ki tsu ta toki ni so hayaku shokuji o su ru koto ga de ki mashi ta. dakara, ana ta ha sore ni hijouni kangei sa re tei masu.” (Oh no, it's alright. I was making it so people could have quick meals when they come home at odd hours. So you are very welcome to it.)
At the request of his name he quickly moved and bowed respectfully. “
shi no burei o yurushi te ku dasai. shi no namae ha dana mu-habato shi ha juushichi sai de, hai, shi hako ko deha kanari atarashii ki senpai desu.” (Forgive my rudeness. My name is Dunham Herbert. I am seventeen years old and yes I am quite new here Aoi senpai.)

It was a nice idea to be sure, one Aoi knew the cook would certainly enjoy. One she had enjoyed quite a bit herself, the boy knew how to cook. At the invitation she nodded her head and reared up until her head nearly brushed the ceiling and looked around again and lowering herself back down picked up a ham bone in her teeth with some meat still clinging to it. Her front paws reached the floor again, and she bit down on the ham bone, causing a loud snapping noise and scratching noises as she pried the marrow out of the bone the ham that had clung to the bone, almost eaten as collateral damage. She did wonder if Herbert knew Polar Bears could eat several hundred pounds of meat in a sitting, though often going days between meals.
She erased the board as he bowed deciding to return the gesture after she were finished, or maybe after he met her as a person. SHe picked up the other side of the ham bone gnawing on it as she wrote."Thank you and it's quite all right, you were scared and i was hungry. This place is really nice, I have been here almost four years now" (ana ta ni kansha shi, soreha kanari daijoo desu, ana ta ha kowa ga tte i ta to shi ha kuufuku datta. kono basho ha hontoni ii desu, shi ha ima, ho bo shitoshi koko ni sa re tei masu) she wrote back realizing the board was good for shorter conversations but longer ones got tough when she wanted to convey more information then it would fit. She bot down harder then she meant to on the hambone breaking it half, crucnhing the chuck in her moulth before dropping the now picked clean bone.
She was not quite sure how to explain the idea she was in a way older then she was having de aged a few years back to thirteen. Almost fourteen she reminded herself proudly. Turning back to the fridge she gently opened it with her teeth and reached in til she felt the paper wrapping and pulled trying her best to only touch food in begs due to her fur. She set the wrapped object on a clear piece of counter and gently used a claw to cut open the string holding the wrapping revealing a thirty five pound salmon. She had her father ship it in for her, fresh caught from the rocky mountains. Pre cut just in case she was in bear form, she licked her lips but kept herself back and quickly erasing the board wrote, "Please to use some of this salmon, if you like, it is cut into four nine pound pieces." she said both trying to replace what she had eaten of nhis as well as trying to make a new friend. Himari had certainly had an impact on her and Aoi was trying to be more outgoing. She still recalled the trip back to japan that nether of them was sure how they had gotten there.
Following the bear to the fridge he looked a bit confused when she pulled out a wrapped package and placed it on the counter. But when she cut it open Herbert's eyes went wide at the sight of one of the most beautiful salmons he had ever laid eyes on. Looking at the note on the board he reached out tentatively and picked up one of the slabs and inspected it. The meat and fat ratio was superb and the heft of the fresh fish just sent his mind spinning at the ideas. Looking at the bear he smiled and nodded.
“I … iii I'll need about 45 min. W … wwwwhy don't you go and get changed and come back in about 45 mmm mm minutes so I can go to tt ttt town on this beauty.” Turning he carried the slab to a counter and then immediately began to get to work. Pulling out pans and pots and getting things ready to simmer boil and bubble. One thing Aoi would have noticed is the pulling out and the loading of a rice cooker.

As Herbert picked up a slab, she used her claws to impale the next slice and ripped a large chunk out of it savoring the flavor a moment. She considered his words as she took a second bite into the slab she had picked up, it would be easier to talk with him that way and she had gotten to test out her new board communication system which worked better then the chalk so far, of course she had not bitten one in two yet either. She had made sure the dry erase markers were non toxic for both bears and humans. She erased her board and wrote "I will be back in a smaller size then" she wrote as she saw him taking out the rice cooker.
She pulled another chunk off her slab with her teeth and keeping the slab in her teeth and looking to watch Herbert begin cooking the other slab. This had potential she decided as she trotted out of the room, only two newer students giving brief screams as a Bear crossed their paths, and stopping every so often to eat the rest of the slab she had taken which she finished in her room, where she willed calmness into herself.
The change was often not the same each time and this time she felt herself shrink til she resembled a Bear cub before her fur began to pull into her body along with her claws. Her teeth melted from the Bear's into a humans and the fur on her back turned silver, very quickly Aoi stood naked and shivered a moment trailed by her but length silver hair. She picked a piece of raw meat from her teeth and got dressed in a black sweater and jeans, she quickly combed through her messy hair and gathered it in a tight braid. She also grabbed a back pack and loaded with her board and writing supply's just in case she changed again.
She arrived back in the kitchen minus her board, she was a few inches she of five foot and less then a tenth of the weight as well. She was writing on a small notepad muttering to herself. "So much easier to say Hello and greet people when I'm not in Bear form, i can help if your not quite finished" she offered with a friendly smile. "When i am in Bear mode you are quite correct to be cautious however as sometimes the Bear's instincts overwhelm me" she mentioned, not wanting the new guy to get a hand removed for trying to pat a Bear on the head who had not quite gotten control of themselves.
"That really does smell really good and now my sense of taste will be way better" she said keeping her smile, she wondered of he would believe that she was hungry again. Something about the process of losing or gaining roughly eleven of yourself in weight always made her hungry. She started to rewrap the rest of the fish in case it was not needed.
Lost in his own little world as the bear trundled off Herbert was already placing the fish down and with a long blade was slicing the 9 lb slab into portions. It wasn't often he was given a challenge like this and he was chomping at the bit to do a solo iron chef moment if you will. Putting his headphones back in he began to pull out fresh and dried spices and herbs. Chopping them up and adding them to bowls of sesame oil. Figuring he had enough meat to do at least three if not 4 different dishes he decided to do something along the lines of a 4 course meal.
It was quite the ordeal as he moved adjusting the heat on one pan basting with another. Placing a pot on to boil with a small wok to heat. He moved with a confidence that often his parents wished he had in the rest of his day to day life. By the time Aoi returned Herbert had already had 4 plates set up on the counter in front of him. Each one had different items on it and a table to the side had a seat prepared with chop sticks and cutlery. It was obvious that this was Aoi's place to sit in Judgment.
“Nnn no I'm good …. ss shouldn't be more than a few minutes … so sss sit down and I hope you like it.” Plucking the lid off a pan the room was suddenly perfumed with the scent of cinnamon, clove, fennel, star anise, and szechuan peppercorns. “Pppp perfect.” scooping out of some oil he placed what looked like croquet onto a small rack lined with paper towel and then left them to cool as he turned to a slab of raw Salmon. Picking up a long slender knife he ran the blade through the flesh with a steady stroke and a final flick separating it from the skin only to lay it down on a long rectangular plate. He did this 6 more times before picking up a small bowl he had prepared and began to dribble the contents all over the meat. Dusting the whole thing with some chopped chives and sesame seeds he picked up the first plate and walked over to where Aoi was to sit and gently placed the first dish down in front of her. “First we have a simple Salmon Sashimi. To start off with. I dressed it in a ginger and hot oil sauce. Garnished with chives, cilantro, and Sesame seeds. … Enjoy.”
Turning he moved back to the station to plate his second offering.

Her eyes took in the sight of the set up Herbert had provided. It was certainly more then she had expected. It was very clear he knew how to cook and Aoi could not help but wonder if his parents did not do something related to food. Aoi sat down and looked over the rather familiar dishes he had made and realized it was even more impressive then she thought as he had prepared dishes from japan. Aoi wondered for a moment if herbert was not interested in her, though he mostly knew her a a bear. It was a lot of effort he had gone through for afterall.
The additions of the chopsticks was also a nice touch, as she looked down at the salmon sashimi. She wondered if the kid wanted to be a chef one day, it almost felt like she was on one of those cooking shows. She took the chopsticks in hand and began eating the dish herbet had brought her first. It tasted really good as she bit into the first peice and relieved her fear she might have to lie to make him feel better. She could taste the ginger and chives quite well. Truth was however she was pretty hungry and so the food was something she was grateful for. Transforming burned through a lot of calories.
"This is really good, where did you learn to cook?" she asked curiously as she picked up and ate another bite off the plate. He grinned at her admission of interest in cooking as well at her admonishment of putting too much effort in he waved her off. “nn nn Nah. When you ddd do something do it right.” Motioning to the plate. “Here we have Salmon fish cakes … ss ss seasoned with cinnamon, clove, fennel, star anise, and szechuan peppercorns.” At the question about his powers he blinked and tried to think back as he slowly turned and walked towards the dishwasher of all things. “About ttt two years now.” Reaching out he pulled on the release and opened the door releasing a huge bout of steam and a foil wrapped package on the top rack which he pulled out and started to carry to the counter. “W... what about … you?”
