It was nice to hear Hercules laugh and praise them. They only wished this jovial laughter and stomping was being done anywhere but a library. Digital eyes watched as Hercules set down his books, looking quite proud of his collection.
"Oh...no I don't live here. This is a public building, it closes at night." Oli laughed lightly. "I...uhm...live in a hotel room. Makes it easy to get to work anytime I'm needed!" The tech mutant smiles, trying to show how helpful they were.
Oh good! There was a way to contact him! They nodded, and prepared to memorize the phone number given to them. Instead they ended up wincing as Hercules began rhythmically shouting. Again, it felt like all eyes were on the two of them. They tried to keep the smile on their face, not wanting Hercules to think he was doing anything wrong. Once he was finished Oli nodded.
"Ah! Yes...well my number is..." Oli began to recite their phone number, trying to make a rhythm like Hercules had. They fidgeted slightly, a little outside their comfort zone.
"Ahem...and...if you'd like, Uncle Hercules, you can just...leave me here. One of my supervisors will be by eventually to pick me up!"
They nervously glanced over at the librarian, who seemed to notice her phone in Hercules hand. Oli laughed slightly, trying not to seem worried
"Well...maybe you can...uhm...hide me somewhere. Don't worry about me, I am used to being put in strange places! I'd just rather not get...accidentally abducted..."

“Oh! A hotel? Better than the motel or the Holiday Inn!” he said recalling the lyrics to a song he heard recently. All of which in his opinion were better than stables which he used to sleep in often when he was trying to prove himself to his father. Full of bugs and angry animals. Hercules took up a lot of space and was impossible to move when he was sleeping.
The demi-god nodded his to the rhythm of the numbers repeated back to him. He repeated it a few times quickly to recite it to memory. “Excellent!” he said as he gave a thumbs up and a big grin to the phone. He looked up slightly to the “Exit sign” and ‘hid’ the phone by placing it on top of it. Most people weren’t as tall as Hercules he figured it was hidden enough.
“Take care Young Oli! May you get your promotion and our paths meet again! I am once again humbled by the generosity of you mortals.” he picked up his books and walked out as someone was shouting behind him. Clearly they couldn’t be talking to him. Everyone knew who Hercules was.
Now for the Pizza!

"Goodbye Uncle Hercules! I'm sure we will meet again! Send well wishes to your nephew for me!"
Little did Hercules know, but he set Oli in the perfect location. An electronic Exit sign connected to a door with an electronic lock. It probably automatically locks at night or has an electronic sensor to prevent break-ins. A quick pop into the door, and an even quicker override of the doors security system, meant the doors were locked the moment Hercules passed through them. The librarian hurried over, hoping to catch her book thief, yanking uselessly on the locked doors.
She seemed pretty surprised, and hurried off to find another exit. But by the time she did Hercules would be well on his way. As the librarian hurried off towards the rear exit Oli left the door, locks disengaging as they did so.
And luckily the librarian didn't think to look up.
Oli wasn't sure why Hercules kept referring to them as a mortal...but it was a nice reminder. A reminder that somewhere they had a beating heart. There was a soft, longing, sigh from the phone. There was nothing to do now but wait to be collected again. The avatar vanished off the screen as the phone entered low power mode, Oli drifting off in a comfortable, digital, sleep.
