Character's real name: Dr. Terrissa “TJ” Jackson; Terry
Codename/Alias: Gearhead
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Nationality/Ethnicity: American
Birthplace: California
Personality: TJ is a work-a-holic. Though she’ll never admit it, instead saying, “This work? No, this is play time.” She’s not an extremely social person, but not anti-social either. She’s fairly easy to get along with as long as you don’t interrupt her work, unless of course you have a good reason. Usually that reason needs to interest her in some way.
Notes (Hobbies, Phobias, Worries, ect.): She’s not one to worry about things unless they directly effect her and even then, she doesn’t get overly concerned. She LOVES to tinker with things, be them mechanical or technological.
Allegiance (Good, Bad, or Neutral): Neutral
Everyday clothing: You could see
her wearing tight fitting jeans that sit on her
hips and
tight shirts every day of the year, unless she’s wearing a
dress that fits tightly to her torso, loose after the waist and barely goes to
mid thigh.
Uniform: N/A.
Pajamas: A tight
mini shirt and thong.Hair color and style: Purple-blue, with green highlights. Long and well groomed, pulled back often, but often left to hang naturally.
Eye color: Blue-green-slightly purplish.
Height: 5’7”
Build: Thin, lithe, petite.
Scars: Ever bust your knuckles while using a wrench? Yes? How about doing that since you can remember? Now you’re getting it.
Tattoos: A few on her lower torso and just below her waistline.
Piercings: none, they get in the way.
Description of ability(ies): Her mutation jump started her brain, unlocking the lesser used parts of it, increasing the rate that the synapses fired, received, understood, and stored information, as well as increasing the rate and density her brain created more brain cells, all of which gave her an exponential learning curve.
She can also sense and understand tech and bio-tech objects, as well as manipulate and control them, ie: reprogram a computer without touching it to do something it wasn’t designed to do. She doesn’t need to touch the object and normally doesn’t have to see the object if she’s familiar with it. If she isn’t she has to be able to see it. While looking at one of these objects she is able to understand exactly how it works.
Cons (weaknesses) of ability(ies): She can’t sleep, she’s tried tranquilizers, and they do nothing but make her sluggish, but don’t make her unconscious. This can lead to her talking to herself. She is immune to intimidation, which makes her unable to understand when she should stop before she gets throttled. If there is a large concentration of tech and/or bio-tech things around and she’s focused on them, there is a chance she can become disoriented and ‘black out’. Since she doesn’t actually go unconscious, she will stay motionless with her eyes open and a dead expression on her face, as if she’s rebooting. Because she doesn’t sleep she may at random times ‘reboot’ without warning, this has caused her land hard a few times and injure her shoulders, arms, legs, and even her head on occasion.
Fighting style (if any): TJ doesn’t like to fight, probably because she doesn’t have a chance of winning.
History of your character: Terrissa’s was born to a normal family. She was an only child, though her parents tried for many years to have another child for her to interact with. Terrissa was almost immediately drawn to the cars her father worked on. Her father, Richard, owned his own mechanic shop where he worked on all sorts of vehicles, from domestic to foreign, cars, trucks, vans, busses, Mac trucks, pretty much anything you can think of. Terrissa spent many hours at work with her father, she would throw a fit when she couldn’t go. As she grew up, her father bought her very own tool box, with all the essentials and some odd tools not commonly found for her to use in her own section of the garage that she had taken over. She began to help her dad to work at both his, and his business’ garage. She gained callused hands and busted knuckles quick and easily.
She built her own go-carts and mini robots by age nine. Nothing spectacular but little ones that would pick up objects and move them then set them down. In school she wasn’t anything spectacular, average though she was better with math and science than English and social studies. Around 12 year old, this seemed to change when the first bits of her mutation came into play. She began to understand things with ease and remember everything said, written, or things she saw with crystal clarity, being able to recall them at will (everyone has a photographic memory, but only a VERY small percentage of people can access it, hers was unlocked). From then on she excelled in every subject. She also began to sleep less and less, but worked, learned, studied, and soaked up everything more and more, like a hyperactive sponge.
When she entered high school, she seemed as if she would burn out. Instead, she got even ‘worse’ in the eyes of some. In less than a year she had finished her school curriculum and graduated at an unheard of age. At the age of 15, she entered college, where she stopped sleeping all together. She blew through her bachelors, associate and masters degrees quickly. The doctorates took a bit longer considering she was going for many multiple ones. Genetics, Physics, Metallurgy, Geology, Biology, Advanced Technology, Mechanics and Robotics. She has quite a few other degrees that she never bothered to get her doctorate in.
At the age of 18 a company, Atlas Munitions, contacted her with a lucrative job offer in their advanced research and development division as the head of operations, which she declined. Though she did go to work with them, gaining the same clearance level and pay but in her own ‘department’. Over the next few years, she helped them gain many advances in conventional weaponry and armor. They didn’t like how she would use company equipment for her own experiments and research, though they overlooked it due to her contributions.
A man by the name of Hunter Antonescu contacted her with a more promising offer at Mondragon Labs, which offered her complete freedom and resources as long as she did work that she was specifically asked to do. At the time she didn’t know he was part owner of Atlas Munitions. Needless to say she took the offer. Mondragon Labs is where she is currently and is quite content.
