The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Man, it was always a great feeling when she caught people off guard with her power. Stopping the man mid sentence and leaving him hanging on the other side of a locked door was equally as gratifying, as was situating herself on a table and chucking that shirt over her shoulder.
Her grin widened a bit once he was inside with her and she shrugged innocently. "I'm full of sneaky tricks."
She allowed the arm around her waist, lazily hooking one of her own around his neck as he drew in close. She reached up to try and steal the hat from his head in order to plop it onto her own.
"I wonder... what trick I should show you first?" She leaned in slightly to place a warm kiss against his tan collarbone.
"So I see," he said with a sly grin. He felt her reach up to take his hat, but he didn't object as she plopped it on her own head. He sort of had this unwritten rule that the hat stayed on, but...that rule never specified whose head it stayed on. So, he allowed it. He let his free hand rest on the back of her head, running through her hair as she kissed his collarbone, a slight shudder passing through him.
"Whichever one you want. Long as you show me more than one..." he whispered in a husky voice before leaning down and planting a kiss on her neck. "Maybe I'll show you a couple tricks of my own..."
Leaving a trail of little kissed up his neck, she stopped at his jaw when she felt him return the favor, and tilted her head out of the way a little to give him more access.
"I think I can do that. Magicians usually have more than one trick in a show, after all."
One hand dropped down a little and hooked through a belt loop and then, whoosh! His pants were gone too. Also, where had her shirt fallen off? It was suddenly pulled around her waist where she sat.
"If you can show me something I haven't seen, i'll give you bonus points, huckleberry."
She nibbled at the skin just under his ear while chuckling lightly.
When she tilted her head, he trailed kisses up her neck, then back down, returning the favor before trailing kisses back up again, up her jaw, to her ear, then back down finally reaching her lips.
"Well, one trick makes for a pretty lame show...you gotta keep em...engaged," he murmured against her lips with a wink.
And then suddenly his pants were gone and her shirt was around her waist. Okay she may have had him beat in the trick department because his mutation didn't exactly help here, but that didn't mean he was down and out. Oh quite the contrary...
He shuddered as she nibbled just under his ear. "I'm sure I might surprise you..." he murmured.
"For starters...I'll let you call me Huckleberry."
Juniper laughed, loudly at that. His first trick was giving her permission to use the name he apparently hated? "Well, color me surprised. Here I thought we were going to have to tussle a bit over it." He wasn't back at kissing, so that was a plus. Though it wasn't anything she hadn't experienced before. Her massive amount of experience was great and all, but it had the big downside of making everything just kinda seem the same. It was hard to get too riled up about anything when there had been dozens of partners before who did and said the same things. April had so far some the closest to breaking that spell of placidness, and that was probably only because they might as have been twins when it came to their pursuits.
She trailed her fingers lightly around his exposed skin, wanting to entice goosebumps or more of those nice shudders from him where she could. "Unfortunately I think i'm all out of metaphors for magic shows and tricks, so... lets get the real show started, shall we?"
She hooked her legs behind his and used them to try and draw him closer, abandoning the little patterns she had been drawing on him with her fingers in order to reach up and loop her fingers behind his ears in his hair, to initiate a deeper kiss. A perfect place to get things started.

Really, she wasn't sure how much time had passed. She didn't ponder on it much though, because she had was in the process of getting her shirt back on to hide the various little love marks scattered around her skin. Her hair was a mess, she was sure, and she wasn't entirely sure where her own pants had gone. She glanced up after her t-shirt was pulled fully over her head and spotted them hanging from the top of a tall shelf.
Whoops!
Her cheeks were still dusted pink with a nice after glow. "Well... You certainly weren't lying when you said you had a few tricks of your own." Giggling, she pointed a finger at the shelf. "Can you get my pants for me?"
Jericho wasn't too sure of the time either, but what he was sure of was that he was gonna have to make sure they met again at some point. His hair was strewn everywhere, and his skin wasn't as flawless as it had been when they'd started, either. At the moment, he was crawling under a table trying to get his own shirt. Once he had, he conked his head getting back out, and prayed Juniper hadn't seen--or heard.
Then he was stark naked, crawling on top of tables to get his own pants.
He chuckled while he pulled his own clothes on. "Hell, if you're gonna lie about **** like that, it's better to undersell than to oversell. If your partner is expecting less, there's a surprise and a good time. You oversell yourself and...disappointment don't make no good time for anybody," he replied with a charming smile as he finished dressing then reached up and grabbed her pants off of the top shelf--how in the hell did they get up there? Oh well. Some questions were best left unanswered.
He handed her pants to her, then attempted to straighten his own hair. He noticed she was still wearing his hat, which was sexy, but he was going to have to ask for that back soon. But right now he was still feeling pretty good.
Pants? Check. Shirt? double check. Hat? Big check.
She wasn't too sure about all of that underselling overselling stuff. She didn't see a point in it, really. She knew exactly what she was capable of and was fairly adaptive, so... she never really ran into problems like that. Disappointing partners were generally easy to weed out before the fun even really got started and she wasn't shy about straight up abandoning prospects to the wind as soon as they failed to meet the minimal expectations she had.
She slipped her shoes back on and was working to get her hoodie back on properly, simply pulling it on over her head with the large hat phased.
"Right. Well, that was fun." She lifted her arm to check a non-existent watch for a moment. She really needed to buy one, one of these days. "I should probably get going though. That was probably enough showing around for one day, right?"
She bent to re-tie one of her shoelaces for a moment.
Now she just needed to try and remember how they had gotten here in the first place. It wasn't that far from where she had met him, so she wasn't terribly worried about getting lost.
"Thanks for the hat!" Straightening, she flicked the brim. Her smile may as well have been full of razors for how sharp it was in that moment.
