The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Money did the trick. Great! She didn't have any, but she couldn't have known that. L looked down at her little watch, nodding a bit. He'd be outside of the bar around now. L looked up as the woman lit up a cigarette. Oh, good, she didn't mind smoking. That was helpful.
The woman was talking about how she definitely wasn't a hero, and L nodded. "Yup, uh huh. yeahp. So, we'll have to walk down a block and a half to get where I am hoping to go. There's this guy, probably hanging out outside of a bar, and if not he'll pop out soon for a smoke... He's a not great person, and his social image is very important to him. I want you to kiss him, so I can take pictures of it and blackmail him into not doing bad things in the area. Sound good?" She was already walking as she talked.
"I can give you 1000 dollars for that. And I'll keep you in mind if I need anything else similar done in the future." She looked back to see if the girl was still there. She had other plans for how to get this done, but this would be soooo much easier than downloading unsavory stuff on his hard drive when he wasn't home, or finding out how to get access which adult websites he subbed to.
L didn't seem to mind the smoke. A close look would show that she only breathed when she needed to talk anyway.
Her bottom lip protruded in a way that made it very clear she was unhappy with the sassing when it came to all this hero @#$%. Why was that so hard to believe?
Juniper almost stopped walking when the gir-.. woman, mentioned kissing someone. That... sounded strange. Juts run up and kiss a person? It wasn't usually how she operated, considering she generally liked to make sure that person wanted to be kissed, first. "Define what you mean by 'not a great person' and 'doing bad things in the area'. I don't generally sexually harass people for blackmail material as a side job."
She kept following along though, at least until she had all of the information she needed to make a good decision. The amount of money offered was at least half of her rent which would be great, honestly... if she could stand doing the task for it.
"So, lets say I agree to this. What kind of kiss? A peck on the lips? Full on tongue? What kind of proof do you need exactly?" She only half finished her cigarette, before stubbing it out and tossing it into a trash can as they passed.
"I can take clothing off too. Erm... his clothing, if you need more compromising pictures. It's super easy with my power.... Assuming I agree to this, that is."
L looked back at the woman as she visibly pouted. Wow. What a child. Apparently, though, not a stupid child; she was sure to ask questions to clarify exactly what was going on here. The little lolita looked around as the rounded a corner, spotting what she was looking for. "He's a mobster, I guess. He runs this area, and he has a wife who is related to the columbia drug cartells. I'm trying to get dirt on him to make him stop doing bad stuff. If he gets caught cheating, he will end up in a box."
She casually leaned against the wall of the alley, motioning out with her adorable little head. "He's on the corner next to the bar. Open button up with a wife beater underneath. Smoking. I know he's cheating already, but he's smart about it, so I was going to have to lay in a crawl space for a week to get a picture of him. This is faster. Strike up a conversation, and then give him a smooch, and we should be good to go. The more into it he is, the better."
She smiled and crossed her arms. "Well. You into it? Not something a hero would do, but it's for a good cause, ain't it?" God, if this worked... She could really get this dirt without having to do ANY work? Inside she was smiling like a long horned devil.
"I'll throw in an extra 500 if you make it really juicy~"
Juniper peeked around the corner at their supposed target, squinting a little to get a better view of him.
He was older, with some strokes of grey leeching into his dark hair. She could see pockmarks on his cheeks, and he had hooded, dark eyes. Fuzzy ass eyebrows too. She quirked an eyebrow at the smaller blond. "Beer gut grandpa over there is a big shot, huh?"
Well... he wasn't like...horrible looking at least. Definitely out of her status quo, but money was money.
"If he's really as bad a fellow as you say he is, I don't mind helping you get dirt on him." Hell, maybe it would make Xavier's job easier since he was always running around trying to stop crime.
She glanced down at her clothes and frowned a bit. She wasn't exactly in the most seductive clothing, but.. hell, when had she ever needed to dress up before? She grabbed the loose end of her hoodie and tied it in a big knot, stuffing it inside and out of sight. It helped to show off the fact that yes, she had a waist. A slim, but attractive one. Her pants weren't the tightest, but a hair tie would solve that. Stealing the one keeping her braid together, she cinched her pants a little tighter and tucked that away as well. She shook her hair out so that it hung loosely around her face and handed over her lighter and smokes to the smaller woman.
"Gonna go introduce myself by asking for a cigarette. Can't have him discovering I have my own, or that would be kinda suspicious, right?"
With a lopsided smirk, she headed out around the corner casually, looking at her phone as she went. Once she got close enough, she put on a little act of pretending to only just then notice him. She stopped a few paces away with a casual smile on her lips.
"Sorry to interrupt.. could I bother you for a smoke? I left mine at home on accident." She stepped a little closer, "Or I could just share the one you have, if you don't mind germs."
He wasn't the most attractive, so she wasn't going to make a show of looking him up and down. That might come across as too obvious that she was up to something. So... she'd just pretend to be a nice girl looking to share a smoke with a nice man.
He snorted a laugh at her, blowing smoke in her direction, which she didn't react to. "You must be new here, with an attitude like that. I take it you don't know who I am?" He wasn't threatened by her, that much was sure, but her act worked enough that he offered her the lit stick of tobacco in his hand. She took it with that same smile on her face.
"Afraid not. I just moved into the apartments a few blocks from here a few days ago. I'm still getting a feel for the streets and introducing myself to people." She took a drag easily, un-bothered by the slickness left behind from his lips. Ew, he liked menthols
"That explains why I've never seen your face around here before. I'd remember it if I had. Memory like a steel trap." He tapped the side of one temple, and stepped closer to her. He had height on her for sure. She politely blew her smoke away from him and moved to hand the cigarette back.
"So you've lived here a while then? Can you tell me about the neighborhood? Anyone I should watch out for?"
He laughed and coughed at the same time, in a way that made her think all of those years of smoking had taken a toll on his lungs. It reminded her that she probably needed to quit for good, soon. "Girly, you stumbled right onto the big bad wolf of this neighborhood, ain't nobody here scarier than me."
Maybe he expected her to flinch, or question him on it. It was hard to get a read on what he wanted in that moment. She played along for a bit, asking a vague question here or there to keep him going, until he had told her enough about who he was that she could rightly pretend to be a bit frazzled.
"Scared now, doll face?"
Ew. Doll Face. Why were all the neanderthals in this city so fixated on a variation of the same stupid name? Doll. Doll face. Dolly.
She shifted her gaze away a little when he leaned in. He had long since finished his smoke and was leaning against the wall beside them with one arm, half blocking her in. She'd allowed it since she got the feeling that he liked being able to exert his power over people. "A little.. yes. But... mostly i'm just a little bit excited."
He blinked, processing what she had said and the way her smile shifted a bit coyly. He licked his lips and she knew she was in.
"It's not every day a girl like me runs into someone so powerful, ya know? It's exciting. Thrilling, even. Sorry if that's weird."
Apparently the dude had enough charisma, or money, or power to have both a wife and a mistress... though she couldn't see it. Maybe that was why she had never been able to go full villain, though.
Still, she had stoked his ego enough by playing the part of an innocent lamb who had wandered into the den of a wolf that she had him hook, line, and sinker for what she needed from him.
All it took was looking up into his eyes and slowly licking her bottom lip, scraping her teeth against the pink flesh for a moment, and then he was on her.
She played along for a bit, experience keeping the gross old man interested enough that the short Blonde should have been able to get a good amount of pictures. She even allowed his hands to wander just a bit, since she had requested something extra juicy. She checked her watch behind his back after he wandered away from her face to her neck. It had been long enough, right?
Without a word she phased through him, which caused him to plant face first into the brick wall behind her, and took off at a dead sprint in the opposite direction she had come... leaving him breathless and confused as to what happened. She heard shouts and cursing as she turned the first corner, but ducked through a wall and headed off back to where the blonde would be waiting.
... The Alley was empty when she got there.
If she hadn't been on the run from a very angry Gang leader, she would have screamed to the heaven and kicked a trash can over, or something. Instead, she stomped her way home, red faced and furious, and proceeded to use every drop of toothpaste left in her tube to clean ever inch and crevice of her mouth.
Oh, that little turd would pay if she ever saw her blonde pigtails ever again.
