The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"It's one way to keep people on their toes around you, right? Besides, there have been a few really popular songs for electrifying girls like you." She winked with a grin, and settled her guitar around her shoulders again. She strummed tune that was pretty easy to recognize seeing as it had been at the top of the charts for a few years. Taking Addy's singing advice to heart, Juniper tried belting out the tunes like she would at home in the privacy of her own bathroom.
"I said ooh girl, shock me like an electric eel! Baby girl, turn me on with your electric feel~ I said ooh girl, Shock me like an electric eel! Baby girl, turn me on with your electric feel~"
Was that cheesy? It felt cheesy. Bring on the cheesy!
The older mutant grinned sheepishly and fiddled with her strings some more, eyeballing the girl through her lashes as she blushed and invited her to future jamming sessions. "I think i'd like that. Maybe you can teach me some of that wicked electric you're so good at." A beat passed, her grin widened. "And i'll teach you some of the very best beer slappin', cow ridin' country songs I know!"
She cackled, and prepared to dodge should Addy try and punch her or something for her jest.

"Oh, so you're gonna serenade me now?" She teased, hiding the blush as she sat back in her chair. Apparently, whatever popped into her head was going to fly straight out of her mouth. Juniper had managed to completely shut down the edgy goth persona, though since Addy had been playing music, the electric teen had her guard down from the get go, and after that jam session it was nearly impossible to get her guard back up. Besides, it was nice to jam and hang around with someone that wasn't in the band.
She didn't know the song, but she listened with a smirk; it was actually pretty cool, gave her these weird, warm fuzzy feelings that made her smile more...genuine and wholesome instead of her usual cocky, sarcastic grins. After it had ended, Addy stood to her feet, standing next to the older girl.
"I'd gladly show you some electric tricks," she said with another smirk, then raised an eyebrow at the country comment. She didn't say anything to that, merely shook her head as that smile dropped to her usual resting face. But she didn't punch Juniper, didn't make a snide comment. No. Instead, she quickly reached out, index finger extended.
Very briefly, her fingertip touched Juniper's butt, producing a light blue spark that thanks to the denim padding, would only be slightly worse than your standard static shock; a trick that was normally reserved for pissing off her sister.
She grinned impishly. "I know at least three more electrifying songs I could shock you with."
She was probably asking for it, but seeing that smile on Addy's face was worth it. She kind of reminded her of herself in a way... something else hidden underneath a front. For a moment there she'd seen the girls ooey gooey center peek out.
... Was that what Xavier kept trying to do to her? Huh. She'd have to think on that later.
Her giggling intensified in preparation for a reaction, especially since the smile completely fell off of Addy's face. She was not at all prepared to be poked in the butt nor the little shock that accompanied it.
Juniper yelped, hopping out of arms reach as she rubbed her assaulted backside and stared at the girl accusingly. "My perfect behind! You dare??" She laughed again, but this time she stayed out of zappy finger distance.
She would need to keep herself phased in parts around this girl, lest she be poked again when she least expected it!
The store owner coughed loudly. Juniper grimaced and glanced at him. Maybe he didn't want them lingering when there wasn't anything left to buy.
"We're going, we're going! Yeesh!" She waved dismissively at him, before looking at the door.
"...Wanna go harass Chads who think they can play in a park?" She shrugged. She wasn't the best at being social.

"I bet you could," Addy quipped with a roll of her eyes. "Though I gotta say I probably wouldn't complain too much." This girl was interesting, Addy would give her that; hell, she was even looking forward to hanging out with her in the future.
"I don't know about perfect," she quipped, teasing a look. "Not bad though. Don't worry, I'll only zap you if you really deserve it~" she said innocently. Addy's eyeroll at the store owner was almost audible, but she didn't say anything.
"That sounds like fun, actually, though I gotta make a side stop. I've gotta actually go get my guitar," she explained. "Wanna shoot me your number so I can meet up with you?"
Once the number had been given, Addy hurried out of the store and home, upstairs to her room, and grabbed the acoustic guitar out of the corner. She tuned it, and gave it a good wipe down, put it back in its case, and was on her way out of the door.
After awhile, Addy pulled out her phone. 12%. Great. Hopefully she hadn't drained Juniper's battery too.
~Hey, I'm almost to the park.~
She sent the text, then made her way to the park, looking for her new music buddy.
"Oh ho ho!" She hid a chuckle behind the back of her hand, eyes crescenting in a pretty spot on impression of an anime villain. "How jolting! I've never heard such a charged threat before!"
Help, the puns were going to get her murdered.
She dropped the act as Addy laid out a plan and for once, was actually comfortable whipping out her phone to give girl her number when she had zero intention of sleeping with her. What kind of whacky twilight zone world had she slipped into?
"Solid plan, chief." She flashed a thumbs up after tucking her phone away again, and slipped back into fiddling with her instrument. "See ya then!"
They parted ways, Addy heading off to collect her own guitar and Juniper heading off to find a spot at the park where she could plop herself down and belt out some tunes for a bit.
TING!
She checked her messages, noticing that Addy had texted and fired a quick response back.
-I stole a spot under the big tree, buy the benches!-
By the time Addy would get there, Juniper had run through a few songs on her own, and was currently half way though 'Bless the Broken Road, by the Rascal Flatts, when she arrived.
"... I think about the years I spent just passing through, I'd like to have the time I lost and- Oh, heyyyy."
She spotted her, and scrambled to get out of the weird sitting position she had been in. Back flat on the ground with her legs straight up and resting against the trunk of the tree.

Juniper...was lucky Addy liked her. The girl was always told she needed more friends, seeing as how at the moment her friend list was just her sister. So...apparently friends didn't freely electrocute friends. When they didn't deserve it.
Once the guitar was in the case and tuned--it was underplayed so she had to make sure it was up to perform. She scoffed at the text. "It's a park," she grumbled, "It's nothing but trees and ben--oh I think I hear her..." she mused to herself, following the faint sound of guitar music. Nope, just some dude with dark hair and a nose piercing. He was exhaling smoke as he played, and it was almost like the smoke was dancing, forming little shapes as it matched the music. Cool, but not who she was looking for. Next.
Nope, just some older dude with an acoustic bass.
Finally, she found Juniper, lying on her back playing a song that Addy definitely did not approve of.
"Hey. Do you know how many ****ing trees are near benches in this park?" she said, her grin letting the woman know that Addy was in fact, teasing. "Looks like we're not alone, either. Plenty of poor saps with guitars to show up. And one with a bass."
Oh good! Addy had found her after all. Juniper snickered at the question because, indeed, she did know and that was the all the fun wasn't it?
"Yup. Already had one come up and try to man-splain my guitar to me. It was great, I pretended to be an idiot with it and he played Wonderwall. Didn't find it ironic at all. I knocked his ass into next week showing him how to actually play it." She paused to giggle, not bothering to get up yet. "Dude had a ukulele, even."
She stopped strumming the strings aimlessly as she spotted the girls own guitar case and got a little excited to see what kind of electric she had in there.
"Anyone you wanna show up first? Any songs you specifically wanna play?"
Was she now plucking away at Wonderwall? Yes, yes she was. Damn song could really get stuck in your head if you weren't careful.
