The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

A little arson had totally been worth in, in her mind. Zippo, since neither of them had bother to tell each other their names, had more than fulfilled her expectations. She was ready for a nap. Or maybe round seven. who knew?
He was sprawled out on some pants, she was digging through a different rack of clothes looking for something to replace the ones they had inadvertently burned. Or, at least she hadn't had a hand in it. Maybe he had done it on purpose so he'd feel less lonely while being naked? Again, who knew?
She'd already found a few cut articles of clothing as replacements, but stopped and glanced back at him for a moment.
"Yep." She slapped a ball cap on her head backwards. "Though it's not like it's hard to replace. I've got a stash at my place that could rival that bar that burned down." Huh, she wondered if they had put that out yet. She'd have to check the news when she got home.
"Normally this is when I say thank you and bounce.." She grabbed a pair of pants that looked about big enough for him and headed his way, climbing up onto the display he was sprawled on without adding any weight onto it. Didn't need the whole thing crashing out from under them. She sat the pants within his reach and plopped down in a criss cross, while pulling a tank top on.
"Before my carriage turns back into a pumpkin and all that."
Half-pint returned and gave him a pair of pants. Heck, even ones that would fit. He felt immensely satisfied and in a good mood. Heck, this was the best mood he had been in for a long time. Not that he would admit that. Shifting and getting dressed, he looked like a model stretched out with no shirt, proving to be just as seductive dressed than clothed. Well, as dressed as you could consider him with his pants dangerously low in the front for the moments.
”Well, I guess this is where we part ways. I don’t generally carry a cell phone, since they won’t insure me, but get messages still. I don’t do friends but if you ever want a nemesis with benefits...” he reached over to one of the counters to collect a piece of paper and wrote down a number. This one, he didn’t burn.
Nemesis with benefits? That was dark and very attractive sounding. "Sign me up!"
Juniper happily accepted that paper, hopping down to go retrieve her phone, which was only mildly scorched, and snap a picture of his number before she could accidentally lose it. No was was she giving up the option of countless future run in's with mister heat miser over there!
"Don't regret giving me you're number when I blow your messages up five days out of the week though. I've got a pretty big appetite." He would know, at this point. She grinned at him cheekily as she pulled a sweater on over her top and slipped into some pants herself. Her shoes were unscathed, so she didn't have to go find a shore on the way home. The night had gone exactly as planned. She stuffed her phone in a back pocket and stepped over a smoldering pile of jeans and headed for the front door.
Exactly as planned!
"My names Juniper, by the way! See ya!"
And then she skipped right out through the front door, leaving him alone in a clothing shop that looked like it had seen a very strange war.
Whoops! She forgot she'd left him in there with the alarm still active.
"Hehe." She grinned as she fled down the street as fast as her legs would take her.
