Personality: Slightly nervous and shy but is generally a sweet, smart, and fun girl.
Notes (Hobbies, Phobias, Worries, ect.): Nicki is an avid reader and that tends to be her main activity though she also writes and would be interested in making a career of it. While she does have physical prowess (particularly in karate) there is only one thing in the "physical realm" that she is truly gifted in and that's softball. She has played for over ten years. She is slightly worried or scared around people she doesn't know. Other than people though, she has few fears: she loves snakes and spiders as well as things that usually are considered "scary" to many others.

Allegiance (Good, Bad, or Neutral): Quite the goody-goody.

Everyday clothing: Usually a pair of fitted jeans, a shirt with some funny slogan or pop culture reference, and converse lowtops...basically the normal uniform for anyone of the teenaged years. She also always wears a silver chain around her neck.
Uniform (Optional. Required if eventually becoming part of the X-Men): While at the moment it is very under developed, a pair of black cargo pants and a black fitted long sleeve shirt is what she has worn in the past.
Pajamas: Long pajama pants, usually in soft tones, with a tank top.

Hair color and style: Long and layered brown hair.
Eye color: Blue eyes with black, plastic glasses. Very geek chic.
Height: 5'5"
Build: Skinny...her nickname in softball was always "Twig"

Scars: Some around the knees, mostly from softball accidents, though she has an odd looking one on her shoulder that looks like she got a chunk taken out of her from a mishap at the lake she grew up near.
Tattoos: None...though the thought of getting one later on is very appealing.
Piercings: Just one in each ear.

Description of ability(ies): Nicki has the ability to literally absorb knowledge. She can touch a book and practically drink in the words. This allows her to pick things up very fast and to adapt in situations that can be potentially harmful (when she started off in karate it was due to some absorbtion of a few techniques to defend herself against a bully at school).

In a similar vein, Nicki also has noticed she is beginning to be able to "pick up" knowledge from people. While it is very peripheral at this point, it is something Nicki is trying hard to develop.

Cons (weaknesses) of ability(ies): Nicki can literally get overloaded whether from handiling a particularly large text book or from a computer, Nicki can take in too much and pass out. This is happening less as she's beginning to learn how to control her power, but she still has serious problems with it sometimes.

Fighting style (if any): Trained in karate but has no real natural talent with it. She can hold her own though.

History of your character: Nicki came from what was basically a "normal" family. Her father was a police officer, her mother a school teacher and her older brother was her hero. Nicki was very quiet growing up and usually had her nose buried in one book or another. Outside of softball she had very little interaction with children her age, due primarily to lack of interest. Her brother was always her best friend. Though he was five years older than her, he never went through the phase where he didn't want her around and the two could usually be seen with one another.

Nicki discovered early last year that she had abilities that most kids her age didn't. She did everything she could to hide the power from her family, unaware of how they would feel about the news. Nicki herself was also having problems with the idea that she had powers. While she didn't know of anyone that was a mutant, Nicki had heard such negative things on the news that she felt that maybe being a mutant was being "wrong". It wasn't until more information about mutants started to service that Nicki understood that there was nothing wrong with her powers. However, through the surfacing of knowledge, it also became clear that Nicki's brother and father were less likely to see her new found abilities as a positive.

Nicki, naturally, was unable to hide this from her mother for too long. While her mother was very openminded, they were both afraid of the reactions of Nicki's father and brother. Nicki found out about "Xavier's" and started to promote the idea of going there, emphasising the "gifted youngsters" part to her father. It was only a matter of time before Nicki was packing her bags and getting ready to move
