The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Mugen
Wings. Like some sort of Toydarian, though less ugly. And he referred to her as human. Definitely an alien, then.
Of course her actions had been met with anger. They weren’t calm or collected at all.
The alien didn’t know where they were, didn’t know Han. So they weren’t responsible for this... new age mass transportation device that had torn her from her mission and placed her in the middle of madness. Was the Empire responsible for this technology? It seemed highly unstable, with memory loss as one of the side effects. Short term. Enough to not remember it being used. A few minutes, tops?
The push away was fine. Leia said nothing and let the alien work through their own mental acrobatics, while she assailed hers.
The alien asked a strangely dressed girl how they got there... and the girl in the blue dress spoke of rabbit holes and dolls. She didn’t know what to do. The leader in Leia wanted to seize control, but of course... the alien she’d grabbed earlier wanted to maintain their own order.
A suggestion to watch a child? She was a princess and a general, not a droid. But the girl was afraid and by herself, and Leia was not without a heart. She didn’t scoff, much.
Now that her anger had spent itself, she was working towards cohesive thoughts and strategies.
“Come with me, child.” She said curtly to the girl in blue.
>>”Come with me if you must, Beastie.” The winged figure said, as his attention returned to the girl.
Make up your mind, Leia thought.
“Don’t you listen to him,” Leia said, attempting to get the girls attention. “Or rather, do. We really should stick together. If the Empire has transported us all from our various worlds here, there has to be a reason. And the device has to be around here somewhere... there’s a greater chance of finding it and staying safe if we stay together.”
She eyed the cloaked figure, and the one with wings. “Seems like there’s a lot of danger going around right now.” Another glass shattered in the background, on cue. Someone shrieked.
>> “…there’s a greater chance of finding it and staying safe if we stay together.”
“Indeed woman,” the winged man commented. “You think us transported and trapped, do you?” he frowned. “Then we must bring vengeance upon those who have transgressed against us.”
>> “Seems like there’s a lot of danger going around right now.”
“Yes,” he nodded. “Chaos from fear. Saddening,” he nodded once more. He ignored the screams of the distance, listening instead for approaching dangers. As a shambling wrap of papers – a desiccated corpse? – approached, he knocked the creature aside with his staff. Disgusting magic, necromancy.
>> “I’m Leia,”
“Well met, Leia,” he smiled, brilliant and dazzling but unnatural in the sharp beauty of his features. They were haunted, dark, and lonely. “I am-“ he paused, unknowing. Maleficent was a name he knew but it was not right. That was a woman he knew of. A sister to him? Another side of him? He sought inside his thoughts and heart. He was nature, both kind and cruel. He was shadowed, but he had known the light. He was a friend to fey, but a brooding danger as well. Was he friend or fiend, he was not sure.
“Something is wrong. I am unsure of my name,” he frowned as they pushed for the exit. With a wafting free hand, a gust of wind blew fallen debris from the door. Pumpkins and hay bales? Harvest time it seemed. “I am Maleficent, but not. I am Tempeficent but that too is wrong.” His brow knit together in confusion.
