The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Was that guilt on Jason’s face Lee saw when he heard her question. Though, Lee wasn’t sure what he had to feel guilty about, what he would feel the need to sneak out of the apartment to do. She knew he wouldn’t cheat on her; even if there may have been doubts and worries about that in the back of her mind, those had been dealt with when he’d gotten Gladys’ text. They were leaving the city, leaving their world, because he didn’t want to cheat on her.
That just meant that his words fueled her confusion. ”Taking care of something?” Lee questioned, her frown deepening. ”I thought we had that all figured out. Or at least were working on them.
“But nothing about this is perfect,” Lee went on. ”Except maybe the part where we’re together.”

Her face sort of worried him, as did her question. He may have been the professional investigator, but with Lee he may have met his match. "Well, there was one thing we missed," he explained, swallowing a little. He didn't know why he was so nervous. Oh wait. Yes he did.
"That is true, but there is a way that this can be closer to perfect, Lee," he murmured, stepping a little closer to her. "I mean...if you'd want it that way..."
Then, he dropped to a knee, producing a box from his pocket, and opening the box to show a simple, yet beautiful ring he'd bought. "This is what I had to take care of. Will....will you marry me?" He smiled nervously.
If Lee had been confused before, that was nothing compared to how she felt now as Jason slowly stepped closer to her. The only thing Lee could think of that would make their current situation better was if somehow, for some reason, Gladys magically decided to stop blackmailing Jason, and Lee did not see that happening any time soon. Or ever.
Then Jason dropped to the floor, a hand going into his pocket. "What are you talk-" was all she got out before Jason opened the small box he produced and started speaking again.
It took far longer than it probably should have for his words, and their meaning, to fully make sense to her, probably because the last time she had actually thought this would be a possibility, she had been 15. In the meantime, Lee just stood there, the confused expression still present, as her eyes darted between the ring and Jason's face and back.
Finally, that confused expression disappeared to be replaced by an incredulous one as she dropped her empty coffee cup. "You want," she said slowly, her eyes now fixed on Jason's. "To marry me?"

She was still confused, from the looks of it, and that didn't help his nerves in the slightest bit as he looked up at her from his position on the floor. And then she finally spoke, and he took a breath, taking her hand and slipping the ring onto her finger before looking at the simple, round piece of metal with the one little jewel in it. Nothing extravagant, but beautiful nonetheless. Much like the way he saw her.
"Yes, Lee. I do wanna marry you. Nothing would make me happier. You've stuck with me for awhile now, and it seems like you wanna be with me for the long haul so...if we're going to pack up and start a new life together...I think we should do it right."
Once she spoke, questioning that he wanted to marry her, Lee felt Jason grab her hand. Looking down, she could only stare as he slipped the slight ring onto her finger. The ring that he had gotten for her.
She had stuck with him for a while now. Far longer than she had ever initially imagined she would. And Jason felt that she wanted to be with him for the long haul? Lee nodded, eyes still on the ring he’d placed on her hand, tears starting to prickle at her eyes. Jason actually wanted to marry her. He wanted them to get married as part of them starting this new life together.
As Jason got to his feet, Lee nodded, a couple of tears spilling over and running down her cheeks. ”Yes, yes, yes!” she finally exclaimed, throwing herself forward now that Jason was back on his feet and wrapping her arms around his neck. ”Yes! I’ll marry you!”
