"True. And we're both living what we thought was just an unattainable dream," he murmured slightly before they pulled away. He smiled, watching her walk for a moment before he followed, just barely picking up her scent above the smell of the cologne.

He smirked at her question. "What? I can't go with?" he teased as he flashed her a wink. A part of him wondered how he got this far. With a woman he was sure would turn him down, nonetheless. And yet...he was as happy as he'd ever been.

An unattainable dream. That was exactly what it had been like, thinking about the possibility of having something like this. No, simply having a boyfriend that not only knew about what her powers did, but who was alright with them had seemed like an unattainable dream. The thought of actually living with such a boyfriend, even if they did sleep in separate bedrooms had been an impossibility.

And yet, here they were. Not only dating, not just living together, but in love and happier than they had been before moving into this apartment. Life really was kind of amazing.

Jason wanted to go with her. To have a shower. After how angry he had been because of the cologne he could smell. And he was teasing her about it at the same time. Lee’s smile widened. ”That might be a good idea, actually,” Lee said, her smile growing as she looked at Jason while they made their way to the bathroom. ”You know, to make sure I get it all washed off. Better to be thorough now than to need to take another shower because I missed a spot.”

Giving him a knowing wink, Lee grabbed Jason’s hand and pulled him slightly as she stepped into the bathroom.
