Lee's smile widened slightly as Jay winked at her. Just the way that he said that they were stronger than that...Yes, it was a horrible situation that they had been thrust into, but they were going to face it and deal with it together. As a couple. Something Lee had spent the majority of her life not thinking that she'd be able to do. But she wasn't even thinking about it, or questioning helping Jason deal with this, it was an automatic in her mind.
Lee was a little disappointed to be honest when Jason said he had a store run to do. Though, she had been the one who said they should probably play along with Gladys' demands until they figured out what to do. But that didn't stop Lee from not wanting Jason to leave after that kiss he gave her to say goodbye. She would have much rather him stay, at least for a bit, before heading to the store.
Distractions were probably not the best idea at this point, though.
Jason was gone for a long time, though. So long that Lee had had time to get herself dressed, clean up the apartment and then go back to Jason's notes and papers he had on Gladys and her ex-husband, music playing softly in the background, before he returned. Standing, Lee made her way over to Jason and wrapped her arms around him after he'd set down the bag, giving him a kiss before she spoke. "Have you heard anything else from her? I've been going over the file again. I think we need to find more information."
