The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

When Jay said that they'd have to keep each other warm as they stepped outside, Lee looked over and realized that he didn't have a coat. Shaking her head, Lee stepped closer to Jay, letting go of his hand and wrapping her arms around Jay's. Not that she could really do much to keep him warm, at least not while they were outside, but she could try.
At least it didn't take long to get to Jay's apartment, after what he had said the other day, she had been expecting a much longer walk.
Once they were inside, Lee glanced around the apartment. It was small, but this was New York, and considering that it wasn't too bad for a bachelor. Slipping her coat off her shoulders, Lee walked over to the kitchen and hung it on the back of a chair, just like the cost Jay must have meant to take with him.
Then Lee turned back to face Jay. ”Nice little place,” Lee said as she slowly walked back to Jay, smiling up at him. ”Now, what were those ideas of yours?”

"Thanks, I try," he said with a slight shrug as he looked at her smiling up at him. Then, he had to chuckle as he thought about said ideas. The chuckle soon evolved into a full on laugh, which after a few seconds, ended with him grinning mischievously.
"Well..." he loosely wrapped his arms around her. "They all pretty much involve a repeat of a certain part of our first meeting," he said with a smirk and a gleam in his eye.
"Though if I remember...That involves something happening that you said would only happen in my dreams," he murmured, that mischievous gleam and sly smile plastered on his face before leaning down and planting a kiss on her lips.
When she felt Jay's arms wrap around her, Lee stepped a bit closer to him, wrapping her own arms around his waist. Smiling as she heard him talk about what he thought they should do for the rest of the night.
Smiled until she heard the last bit he murmured. Then the smile slid off her face to be replaced with a thoughtful look. ”I did say that,” Lee started to say, but was cut off when Jay leaned down to kiss her.
By the time he pulled away, there was a smile on Lee's face again. ”I guess you're about to have a damn good dream.” As she spoke, one arm reached out to pull Jay's head down for another kiss while her other hand slipped under his shirt to lightly run up his back.

He had to smirk at her reply; honestly, he hadn't seen that one coming. Of course, he didn't think she'd leave simply to keep from being a liar, but he had to commend her on her witty comeback. The next thing he knew, he was pulled into another kiss, and a shiver ran up his spine as he felt her hands rub his back under his shirt. He pulled her a little bit tighter.
This time, when he broke the kiss, he had an even wilder smile; Jay had just gotten an idea. In a swift motion, he scooped her up in his arms, carrying her into the bedroom before closing the door with his foot and setting her down on the bed.
Lee did not miss feeling Jay's shiver as her hand slowly made its way up his back. As if that wasn't enough of an indication that he liked what she was doing, Lee felt his arms tighten around her.
Lee's breathing was a little fast when Jay pulled back from that kiss, and she returned his smile with a happy one of her own.
Until Lee felt Jay pick her up. When he did, Lee's body tensed, the smile sliding off her face for the most part. The only willingly let herself be carried like that had been her wedding night. Though it seemed this was going on a similar direction, Lee noticed as Jay walked them into the bedroom.
Lee tried to relax. Jay had no idea that she didn't like to feel vulnerable like this. And, while Lee knew she would be able to get out of his arms, she also knew that doing that would completely ruin the mood.
Thankfully, the apartment was small. Jay had already kicked the door closed and was setting her down on the bed. Well, at least that was better, Lee was able to smile up at Jay again. ”You know, the bed is much more comfortable than standing,” Lee murmured, reaching out to grab Jay's hand.

Jay halfway noticed her demeanor change a little when he picked her up, but thankfully he had a long stride and had her set on the bed in no time. Then, he made a mental note not to do that again. Though he was mainly thinking about one thing at the moment, he was at least perceptive. Then again, given his chosen...er...profession, he had to always be aware of his surroundings.
He smiled as she smiled at him and took his hand. "I know; haven't gotten that far yet," he murmured before sitting on the bed next to her. "Better now?" he asked teasingly before wrapping an arm around her and planting a gentle kiss on her cheek.
”Oh, you haven't gotten that far yet…” Lee said with a knowing nod as Jay sat down beside her. Then he kissed her on the cheek, and Lee squeezed Jay's hand as she smiled over at him.
”It's a start,” Lee breathed as she turned slightly on the bed, raising her arms to wrap around Jay's neck, bringing her body up closer to his.

He smiled back at her, scooting a little closer. Then, her arms wrapped around his neck to pull her closer, and he wrapped his arms around her waist in return. For once, he didn't have a smart-alack remark, no witty comment, not even a sly observation. Lee had actually managed to somehow render him speechless.
And so, he merely closed the gap between them, letting his lips meet hers in a passionate kiss as his eyes drifted closed, lost in the moment.
Jay didn't say anything, he simply wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her even closer than she had pulled herself. Then he was leaning down, pressing his lips against hers, and as the kiss grew more passionate, Lee felt her breath catch on her throat.
Moving her arms, but not breaking the kiss, Lee started pulling Jay's shirt up his back running her hands along his bare skin.

He felt the now all too familiar feeling of her hands against his skin, and it never failed to make him shudder. Jay smiled as his heart began to beat faster, his hands moving to run up and down her back before leaning back to break the kiss.
He pulled his own shirt over his head before reaching back to untie her halter top. "Be careful to keep that one in one piece," he murmured with a teasing grin, a playful wink, and a kiss on the neck.
Yeah, getting Jay's shirt off was not working very well with the whole kidding thing going on. But to be honest, Lee wasn't ready to stop that quite yet, they still had lots of time that night, after all. With how excited Rachel had been about that l the idea of her going on a date, Lee knew she had no need to rush home.
But Jay seemed to have different ideas, though, and took his own shirt off. Which, Lee didn't really have a problem with exempt for the fact that it meant he pulled away from the kiss.
And then his hands were on her shoulders brushing along her neck as he untied her shirt. ”I'll try,” Lee said with a grin. ”I'm not going to make any promises.” Despite that, Lee reached her arms down and quickly pulled her shirt up over her head and doing it on the floor before turning back to Jay.
Running her hand up his arm, she then wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling herself back up against Jay’s body.

He smirked at her response. "Granted, you could always go home in one of my shirts, if it came to that," he teased lightly, giving her another light kiss on the lips. His hands trailed up and down her back as she pressed against him, his body giving another shudder as he again let his lips meet hers in another passionate kiss.
And this time, he didn't have much reason to break it. His eyes drifted closed, enjoying the moment. And the fact that his 'dream' was coming true.
Lee raised an eyebrow at Jay when he said that she could always go home in one of his shirts of necessary. ”You know i may do that anyway,” Lee replied with a bit of a smirk of her own. If nothing else, Lee was sure she'd get a good reaction, and she determined to throw on one of Jay's shirts later.
Feeling Jay's hand running up and down her back, Lee shuddered slightly. Combined with the kiss, Lee's heart was pounding. And, though Lee knew that they had lots of time, she also knew that things would be much more comfortable laying down, so with her arms still around Jay's neck, Lee leaned backward.

He gave a light laugh. "Just run by me which one you take," he teased, though there really were a couple of shirts he didn't necessarily want to part with. Though he wasn't exactly sure if she was serious or not, he wouldn't really mind if she was.
He let out a gasp as she leaned backwards; he was so caught up in the moment that she caught him off guard. He didn't lose his balance or anything, but she'd notice that she had quite the easy time getting him to follow. He chuckled to himself, getting comfortable, but not breaking the kiss for a second.
She would definitely be running it by him, in some form, which shirt she'd be wearing home. That was no problem. Though, how she would be moving around the apartment in that shirt would likely delay any departure quite effectively.
Lee heard the gasp, and definitely noticed how easy it was too get Jay to follow her down onto the bed, and she smiled against Jay's lips. She also noticed that he hadn't broken the kiss, either.
Yeah, she wasn't going home anytime soon.
*Fade to black* _____
Just like a couple days earlier at her place, certain… activities had been rather enjoyable, and Lee had a happy, contented smile on her face as she lay there in the bed with Jay. Unlike the last time, there was none of the awkwardness left from how they had initially met.
Lee also had much more energy than she had had the last time she had been with Jay thanks to being at the bar before hand, so was having a much more difficult time simply laying there.
Finally, Lee couldn't take it any longer and, after giving Jay a quick kiss, she slipped out of the bed. She knew that it wouldn't be enough to get rid of the energy, but at least moving around the bedroom a bit would be easier to deal with than laying still. And not that she was on her feet, Lee made her way over to the dresser. Jay had said she could borrow one of his shirts, afterall.
