Booker truly saw no wrong in anything he said to Javier. After all, it was fact that his costume of choice had been rather simplistic. It he wanted to impress the tailor, he needed to have better examples of his work. He had recent migrated a lot of his pictures from his phone, into his computer but had yet to pick out his favorites to keep on hand whenever he needed to. Occasions like this, for example, were situations when having them on hand would be ideal. But, live and learn. Besides, he knew where Javier worked now so all he had to do was crash his business he’d have a second chance to show off! Perfect!
He didn’t notice that Javier was trying to distract himself from anything. Rather, as Booker looked at him, he did note that something was probably on the tailor’s mind but he seemed extremely interested in trying to down as many of the honey roasted treats as he could. It was a humorous sight, especially considering that in the attempt to enjoy his treat, it caused his cheeks to puff up like a puffer fish. Booker would have said something, but, a few bites in and Javier seemed to manage just fine. Good. The last thing he needed was for his newfound friend to choke to death directly next to him. Popping a few into his mouth, he chewed on them, waiting for Javier to finish. Thankfully, when he did, he seemed absolutely fine.
>>"Well, um...You can bring pictures when you... I mean, if you come by, you can bring pictures. Of costumes. That you want to do. In the future."
A grin swept over his lips as he nodded his head in accordance. ”Great! That’s exactly what I was thinking!” Booker would pick out some of his best shots, as well as bring some ideas for his next outfit for Javier collaborate on. That would work out best for them both. ”It’s getting towards the busy time for me but, I will definitely drop by! Maybe I’ll bring you lunch as an early down payment.”
A peppy smile followed as Booker sighed, stood up, and brushed the crumbs from off of his shirt. He glanced down to his friend, smirking a bit as he hefted up his now, much heavier tote bag of veggies. He was definitely going to make some good meals out of all this. It seemed a shame to end his meeting with a new friend but he needed to get this stuff back and start planning out his menu. So, regrettably, he stuck out his hand to Javier to shake.
”I gotta get going,” he said with a wide smile. ”It was great to meet you, Javier! I hope you have an amazing holiday!” He waved the card he had been given. ”I’ll call you, okay?”
And, with that, he turned and marched back into the crowd, making his way home with just a little more skip in his step.
