Lee shrugged when Stephanie asked who didn't like music. ”Honestly, I didn't think it was possible to just not like music,” Lee said, then glanced over at Stephanie in the mirror when she said that she couldn't let Lee leave with someone like that. And the funny thing was, Lee thought Stephanie looked as though she meant it, like she actually cared about what kind of person Lee might go home with.
Then Stephanie started musing about who Lee could move on to. Finished with even the pretense of touching up her makeup and hair, Lee leaned her go Shabbat the counter, turned sideways to look at Stephanie. ”I'm not bound and determined that I have to go home with someone tonight,” Lee said as she looked over at Stephanie. ”Though, that kind of music collection does make the idea that much more enticing.”
Stephanie was under no illusion that there was anything deep or real connecting her with Lee, but that did not mean she did not find the woman interesting. As a one-night friend, Lee offered a good time and deserved more than a troglodyte who could not value music.
The thief was persistent as always, though she was taking questionable risks. Maybe the free drinks she downed through the night were starting to catch up to her. Was she really broaching the idea of inviting a stranger to her apartment? Malia would be sleeping soundly by that time of the night, and it was just one time, and Lee was just… crazy hot. Damn unattainability.
Lee was a tough nut to crack, but the record collection had her intrigued. Placing a bold hand on the small of Lee’s back, Steph replied, ”Trust me, I aim to entice. It’s not far. You can’t tell me you’re not curious,” she whispered close to Lee’s ear, her lips curling into a Cheshire grin.

Despite the fact that Lee had told Stephanie that she was in fact straight, the woman still seemed pretty determined to leave the bar with her. But really, where was the real harm? If things turned bad, in any sense of the word, Lee still had the same Plan B that she could use on men; she'd be able to get out of there, and Stephanie would be no worse for wear after about 8 hours sleep.
So when Stephanie's hand touched the small of her back, and whispered in her ear, Lee shrugged. ”I am curious whether this collection can live up to the sales pitch you're giving it,” Lee replied.
Then with the gentle urging of Stephanie's hand on her back, Lee started walking toward the door. This would definitely show Shaun that he'd effed up.
