The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It may have been a stupid move but Akshay was willing to play along for the mean time. He didn’t like that there were eyes everywhere upon him, which put him at risk if things went bad. He didn’t know how Primal’s abilities worked and, until he did, he was going to do his damnedest to ensure that no one else got hurt. So what if it was a drink? It was just one and it wasn’t as if Primal could get away from him.
Did he actually think that the mutant was going to cooperate? Hell no. But, so long as he kept him in his sights, he would look for the opportune time to implant the tracker and be on his way.
>> "You're no fun, Stalker…we'll make a stop at my apartment before we go to a bar. Then afterwards you can impale me if anything you see fit."
So the deal was made. One pit stop to pick up clothes. One beer. One tracker implanted without a fuss. Akshay wasn’t exactly brimming with trust for the man but he knew that he had to get close to him one way or another. So maybe he was selling his time like a prostitute, in the end, it didn’t matter. So long as he got the job done, his superiors would be pleased.
Of course the man was just dripping with gutter-talk (someone really needed to put up a barrier between it and this guy). His eyebrow arched, he made ready to say something but was cut off when Primal jumped in again.
>>”…and I didn't mean like that."
Akshay snorted. ”I find that unlikely.” He nodded, slowly pulling the tranquilizer gun back into its holster. ”Lead the way.”

”I find that unlikely.” He nodded, slowly pulling the tranquilizer gun back into its holster. ”Lead the way.”
Primal snorted in response and did just that.
The walk to his apartment wasn't long. Of course, he got stares by what he was wearing, but Primal was used to that by now. There was a reason for it and that was to ward off anyone who was foolish enough to mess with him. Of course, that didn't work with Mister Smokey over beside him. When they came to his apartment building, Primal turned to look at Stalker, "you stay yo ass down here. You don't need to know what room I stay on." And with that, he headed inside and up the stairs.
A few minutes later, Primal came back down in a pair of black jeans, a muscle shirt with a burnt orange paw print in the center and tan Timberlands.
"Ready?" Primal asked. He even put on some cologne that made him smell like fresh cedar wood.

The trek to Primal’s apartment had been an interesting one. As Akshay allowed the other the lead the way, they found themselves exiting the denser sides of Central Park and were immediately hit by the noise and bustle of the striving city. Akshay had to admit that he kind of preferred the faux woodlands because at least the trees and foliage muffled the majority of the sounds. Now that they were out in the city again, it was almost a little startling.
With a sigh he followed behind the man, keeping him in his sights as they walked. While he wasn’t the most ostincatiously dressed individual in New York, his appearance did manage to draw a few gazes. People were shocked, chuckling, some even cat called. The worst was a pair of men who winked at Akshay and gave him the thumbs up, almost as if assuming that Akshay was following this man home. Which…while yes that was actually happening…it wasn’t because of how other’s thought.
Upon arrived at the building, Akshay stopped when Primal stopped to turn to face him. The pair of them exchanged a look before the younger man spoke.
>> "you stay yo ass down here. You don't need to know what room I stay on."
Akshay held up his hands innocently before shoving them into the pockets of his jacket. Lifting his gaze up, he watched as Primal walked into the building and effectively disappeared from sight – most people’s. Akshay was already locked onto Primal’s mutant signature so he didn’t need to follow him; he already was. Inside the building, he watched as the glowing pyre that was Primal moved up the building and Akshay immediately noted the floor he stopped on. He couldn’t see details, for example, he didn’t know which exact apartment, which room, nor did he see him changing clothes, but he knew he was there. In all honesty, Akshay half expected him to make a run for it and was surprised when he didn’t.
He was gone only a few minutes and, true to his word, he watched as the mutant returned down the length of the building until he was on the ground floor again. Akshay’s eyes shifted back into their normal, deep obsidian, hands still in his pockets, looking as if he had been waiting there without moving an inch. When Primal reappeared, the man quirked an eyebrow in his direction.
>>"Ready?"
He dipped his head in acknowledgement. ”Of course.” He said. He waited for Primal to lead the way before he walked along with him, hands hidden in his pockets, toying with the blade he had hidden up his sleeve for precaution. The silence between them ended when Akshay scoffed a little and spoke to the mutant without lifting his head. ”I’ll be honest, I figured you lived at the zoo rather than some sh*tty apartment building down the street.”

>> "I’ll be honest, I figured you lived at the zoo rather than some sh*tty apartment building down the street.”
The darker skinned mutant rolled his eyes at the Stalker's assumption. "I know you ain't tryna play me, Stalker." Primal snorted and took out his phone. He scrolled through his phone to see what were some nearby good quality bar that had decent wings. Dressed normally, Primal got a lot less attention from the people they walked passed on the street. Of course there were still some that studied his body -- front and back-- but their attention was more focused on his attractive features instead of his clothes.
"Anyway, there's a bar up here that sells shots in gummy glasses," Primal mumbled as he scrolled through the different reviews. After making the decision, he picked his phone and kept walking down the street. The mutant wished that he was able to just dip and leave the tracking mutant in his dust, but he knew that it wouldn't end the way he wanted it to.
They walked a few more blocks before the bar that Primal wanted to go to came into view. He opened the door and walked through first, then headed to the bar. It was a fairly nice bar with black chairs, dark purple table clothes and white candles in the middle.
"Two blackberry brew for me," he ordered, "and...boneless wings. Chipotle."

The trip was underway and Akshay found himself surrounded by his usual silence. There was nothing wrong with silence, of course, as the man thrived in it. The issue was that he wasn’t actively hunting someone so silence wasn’t a complete necessity. As much as he didn’t really want to partake in drinks with the man next to him, Akshay had to play the game if he wanted this to end peacefully. So he tried to open up a dialogue.
It was nothing big, just a general comment that, well, could have honestly come off as a bit offensive. Just because Primal was found in the park, surrounded by animals, it didn’t mean he was going to live his entire life like that. If so, the agent was certain that the agency probably would have heard of it by now. Still, for was “innocent” as Akshay’s comment was, it earned him a roll of the eyes from the other.
>> "I know you ain't tryna play me, Stalker."
He snorted. ”Far from it.”
>>"Anyway, there's a bar up here that sells shots in gummy glasses,"
He said nothing about Primal’s choice in drinks. If that was what he wanted before he tagged them, then so be it. Even though the original agreement had been for one beer, he wasn’t going to begrudge the man a final drink and food before he would be forever watched by big brother. Akshay understood, on some level, that it was probably invasive to have your privacy taken away like that, but he also knew that it was for the greater good. Too many mutants ran around, using their abilities to commit misdeeds, and people never finding out about it.
That wasn’t the world anymore. S.U.P.E.R. was going to change that.
When the duo finally found the bar they were after, Akshay followed the man inside. It was dark, nicely kept up, definitely not some dive that served the lower dredges of society. Actually it was the kind of bar that Akshay himself usually frequented. Go figure.
>>"Two blackberry brew for me…and...boneless wings. Chipotle."
Arriving at the bar, Akshay waited until Primal took a seat before he turned his back to the top, leaning against it. His arms crossed over his chest as he dipped his head down, listening to Primal order his drink and meal. He smirked a little, brushing his fingers through his hair and sweeping it back. When the bartender turned to him, Akshay just nodded.
”Just a bottle of Otter’s Crest, dark.” he said. As the bartender wandered away to fix the drinks, Akshay turned his eyes away, glancing around the rest of the bar. He couldn’t help but drop a comment to Primal as per his food choice. ”For someone who speaks for the animals…ordering chicken wings seems a little counter-productive, no?”

Oh, God, this again. Primal rolled his eyes and looked to the bartender for his beer. He was going to need it. "For someone who's hunting mutants while you're one yourself sounds a bit ironic, too." He turned to look over at Stalker, then back forward at the bartender as he brought over their alcohol. Primal quickly snatched one of the beers from the table top and took a sip of it. Hm, perfect!
Primal had always wanted to do some sort of home brewing. In his opinion, it would be pretty damn fun to do so. Maybe he'd start later this week as I way to reward himself for doing such a good job in vet school. God, that itself deserved another gulp.
"So, since you think I'm 'cute!, I guess I should make some form of sincere compliment," The twenty-year-old mutant turned his body so that he was looking at Stalker. He slowly gave his body a once over before sighing, "you have nice hair. Decent lips."

Ordering chicken wings when the man proclaimed to be all about the animals was just a little ironic. There was no way that Akshay was not going to mention it. Sure, Primal here was just another mutant he was supposed to tag, and normally that would mean that he would be quick to eject him from his life. But, seeing as he was forced to be civil with the mutant, to share a drink with him, then of course he was partake of the opportunity to point out a continuity error. That was the fun part of life, after all.
Of course his little comment did have the capacity to be thrown back into his face – as Primal so deftly proved.
>> "For someone who's hunting mutants while you're one yourself sounds a bit ironic, too."
He snorted, looking back out over the bar. ”Touche…” he said under his breath. He winced a little, taking up his beer that had been set down and took a nice long sip of it.
The alcohol was a needed distraction now, as he could see the bright orange beacons of mutants all around. There weren’t a lot in this bar, a few off to the corners who seemed to be minding their business, and even a few who were passing through outside the building. They were simply passing through the field of his mutation, blazing into all glory before flickering out once again. There were so many mutants in the world – how was SUPER supposed to track them all?
>>"So, since you think I'm 'cute!, I guess I should make some form of sincere compliment,…you have nice hair. Decent lips."
He turned. Primal was facing him directly now, not even attempting to hide the interest in his eyes. Akshay rolled his in response as he turned back and looked back out over the bar, finding interesting knick-knacks and individuals to briefly glance at before moving on.
”Thank you, for your honeyed words,” he muttered. It was only then that he finally turned his head to look him over. Again, the man was handsome, but there was no point filling his head with useless hope for things that will never come to pass, especially since their agreement was for one beer alone. ”That totally didn’t sound forced and bitter at all.”

Primal shrugged his shoulders and took a sip of his beer. "It's true. You do, in fact, have great hair and decent lips." He had no intention on lying to Stalker about his attractiveness. "You also have a decent butt. Eyes that aren't as dead as they could be and...I like the way you carry yourself."Primal sniffed and took another sip. He didn't drink it right away and decided to hold it in his mouth for a bit before gulping.
"So, Stalker, why did you decide on becomin' a betrayer of the mutant population? Did somethin' bad happen to you? Did mommy and daddy die?" His tone was mocking, but his face was serious. "And don't get defensive. Just answer my question with a yes or no."

Akshay didn’t respond to the younger man’s comments. While anyone else would have been flattered by such compliments, the agent himself was in no mood to be wooed by this man. Admittedly, he was very nice looking himself and, considering the fact that Akshay had slept with others for less reasons, he didn’t bother to let those words get into his head. He was still out here on a job and try as Primal might to knock him off center, it simply wasn’t going to happen. So, with a smirk he picked up his beer again and took another sip.
”My a** is more than decent,” he said as he finally turned to look at Primal, his smoldering eyes locking onto his. ”…and you damn well know it.” He grinned, turned his eyes back to the rest of the bar and took another drink.
Akshay was intrigued by the man but he couldn’t let that stop him from doing his job. Either way, Primal was going to get a tracker implanted in him. After the trouble he caused, there was simply no other way to go about this. Even if Akshay had been a good-hearted fool, releasing him wasn’t an option as SUPER would be all over him about it. He had his own life, his own family to look out for…
>>"So, Stalker, why did you decide on becomin' a betrayer of the mutant population? Did somethin' bad happen to you? Did mommy and daddy die? And don't get defensive. Just answer my question with a yes or no."
He snorted. ”F*** off…” he grumbled in response.
Akshay knew what he was. He knew that, in some lights, he was betraying his own kind. But is own kind shouldn’t have killed the inly family he ever knew. After a second, he sighed, feeling the alcohol already quelling whatever protective fires were keeping him sealed off from the world. A few seconds passed and his voice spoke up again.
”Yes.” he said softly. ”And I do what I do because we need to be kept in check. Otherwise more good and innocent people get hurt.” He turned, his eyes locking on Primal’s again. ”You know, like the kind your animals have hurt back in the park.”

>> "My a** is more than decent…and you damn well know it.”
All Primal did was chuckle. "Maybe I'll have to take a peek the next time you stand up to do somethin'." He took two more gulps of his beer and sat it down on the countertop. He didn't move his body and instead kept it facing Stalker. Primal eyes scanned over his form and cocked his head to the side a bit.
Of course Primal didn't know that Stalker was cheating on his spouse and had he did know, then this would be slightly different.
>> "F*** off…"
Well, that answered Primal's question! The neutral mutant took a sip of his beer just as the boneless wings came. He slid the basket over to Stalker so that he could grab a bite if he was hungry.
>> ”Yes...And I do what I do because we need to be kept in check...You know, like the kind your animals have hurt back in the park.”
Primal slowly nodded his head and ate a boneless wing. It was good. "I guess you and your...organizational sees yourself as the overseer to all of us wild mutants runnin' around." The twenty-three year smirked and shook his head. "After you penetrate me with the skinny little needle of yours, loose my location. Unless you're tryna do somethin'."

>> "Maybe I'll have to take a peek the next time you stand up to do somethin'."
Akshay said nothing but merely kept his eyes averted from the other man. He could already feel the alcohol beginning to have an effect on his judgment. He definitely should have eaten something today. However, Akshay had never been much an eater. Normally Bruce needed to remind him when it was time to eat as he always lost himself with working on projects around the house or even getting swept up with work he brought home from the agency.
Now he was paying for his mistakes. While Akshay was by no means a lightweight when it came to alcohol, lack of sleep and a poor diet pushing him to make some rather stupid decisions; or rather, entertain some rather stupid thoughts. What was wrong with getting up and sauntering over to the jukebox in the corner and playing some music? Everything. That’s what was wrong with it. He shook the thought out as the smell of freshly made chicken wings filled his head.
Focus. But not on the food. No. there would be no breaking bread with the mutant that he was actively hunting.
>> "I guess you and your...organizational sees yourself as the overseer to all of us wild mutants runnin' around…After you penetrate me with the skinny little needle of yours, loose my location. Unless you're tryna do somethin'."
He chortled at that comment. With a sigh and a shake of his head, he slowly turned to look over the other man once again. Honestly, with every sip of his beer, he was looking better and better. Of course that was saying something since Akshay had already found the man fairly attractive. But, despite his betraying looks, the smolder of his eyes and the bite of bottom lip, there was news that needed to passed along.
”Lose your location,” he smirked and slowly shook his head. ”Oh no, sweetheart, this is forever.” He said in a low voice. ”Once inside, it doesn’t come out. You’ll always know where you are, what you’re doing, who your with…always.” He gave him a wink. ”How else did you expect us to keep tabs on you? Kiss your privacy goodbye.”

Primal narrowed his eyes at Stalker. "...Isn't that breaking some type of the fourth amendment?" He asked with a little more aggression in his voice. God, it took him everything not to pick up that bottle and slam it into Stalker's temple.
But he didn't. He knew by doing that, Stalker would be getting exactly what he wanted -- a reason to bag and tag him right then and there. With a shaky sigh, he turned his attention back to his beers and started to guzzle them down.
"Yeah, whatever." He mumbled underneath his breath after putting one of the finished bottles down on the countertop. "There's no reason to try and speak to you." Primal stated in a dismissal-like tone of voice.

Akshay gave Primal the cold, hard truth: he was never going to get a free moment again. Those little dignities that people were promised, the lives they were supposed to be allowed to live, that didn’t matter one iota to a government trying to protect the collective good of a country. There was no reason to beat around the bust either. Primal would be tagged and that would be it. He was lucky Akshay hadn’t been sent to bring the mutant into the facility to be processed.
Sadly the truth didn’t seem to sit with him very well. As Akshay turned back to face him, he watched the anger flash across his eyes like a crack of lightning. He was trying so hard to keep himself under control but it was a state of being that he wouldn’t be able to maintain. The agent knew that but he said nothing else to antagonize him. He could, though, give himself reason to haul a dangerous mutant into the facility. Really, it would have been for the best to take a dangerous mutant off the streets.
Turning to face him, Akshay looked directly into the others smoldering eyes.
>> "...Isn't that breaking some type of the fourth amendment?"
He shrugged in response, before he quietly whispered back. ”In the defense of humanity, the government is willing to look past these little things.”
Leaning back against the bar, he watched Primal again, pulling up his beer for another sip. It used to be hard to watch such knowledge descending upon the heads of people who were being tagged. To know that their movements would be forever tracked, that there was always going to be a set of eyes upon them, with no way of freeing themselves from this unrelenting gaze. It was a harsh sentence for anyone but, with time, Akshay’s heart hardened, tempered with the knowledge that this was being done for the greater good.
>>"Yeah, whatever…There's no reason to try and speak to you."
Primal turned around, a pout on his pretty lips as he realized that there would be no way out of this. Akshay sighed, turning to face the rest of the bar again. Another swig, more alcohol, and an empty stomach were only making his decisions harder to make – also harder to be clear. He leaned in, nudging Primal with his shoulder and giving him a soft grin. With a knowing look in his eye, he nodded to him.
”Well…who says we have to talk?” He smirked, his eyes roaming up and down for a brief moment.

>> ”In the defense of humanity, the government is willing to look past these little things.”
Primal scuffed at the answer and shook his head. That was bullshark. Total bullshark. "That's ridiculous, Stalker and you know it. How can you stand by and allow the government to do something like that to people like us? You're one sick f***." Primal wasn't so pure either, but at least he wasn't a killer or anything like that. Well, except for that one time, but that man had it coming!
He down the two beers and was about to ask for another one when Stalker spoke to him,
>> ”Well…who says we have to talk?”
The vet-in-training slowly turned to look over at Stalker. He allowed his eyes to fall over his body before grinning. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a twenty and slammed it on the counter top. Primal leaned in toward Stalker and whispered, "maybe we should go somewhere more comfortable, Stalker."[/font]He then pulled away before heading out of the bar.
