"I hope so," she hiccuped... She did hope so... Martha stood up and said, "I am ready to sleep..." She really was. ANd assuming Gemma went with her, Martha even kind of leaned tiredly against her on the way back...

"Okay. Let's get you back." Gemma nodded, helping the girl up. It seemed that she had exhausted all her resources with the tantrum; now she was slow and unfocused, but at least some of the tension had gone out of her. Gemma knew that a good long sleep would probably help her even more. She was sorry she could not take the girl to a nice, comfortable bed, but for now, her own car would do; it was a space she knew, and she was comfortable in. Gemma walked Martha back to the pinto, one arm around her shoulders, and helped her lie down.

"You are safe here. I'll come out later when you wake up, and bring you some dinner. Or breakfast. Sleep well." she smiled, tucking her in.
