The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The bear was just turning to see the motion at it's side when the kick impacted her shoulder even as the prey dived aside in the other direction. The force of the kick combined with the bears attempt to shift it's momentum caused the bear to tumble sideways and hit the wall hard. Drywall gave way like paper and wooden beams cracked as the thousand pound bear hit.
The bear registered the pain in it's shoulder but had not seen the actual attacker. As the bear climbed to her feet her attention was taken by the noise coming from the cage. The bear rose up on it's hind legs again wiping out a shelf as it rose. The bear took a few steps forward it's gaze held by the large wolfish creature before it.
Inside Aoi screamed, she did not like at all where this was going. Her mental terror made her more desperate for control but the bear seemed to be getting stronger and her progress ground to a crawl.
Meanwhile the bear pushed a bed out of the way only glanceing at the others momentarily but it perceived the real threat to be the creature who had freed itself from the cage. The bear had no fear of whatever this creature...mutant was but Mizuki was terrified.
Ever see a bear fly? Neither had Elliott. He didn't think he'd kicked it that hard.
Okay, maybe it hadn't flown. It ha tumbled. But at that moment, the movement had felt like flight to the alien man.
It would take a lot of work to repair the damage they had caused. He wasn't thinking about that, yes, but yes, it would. Broken beams and drywall. Broken bear. That was probably the worst of it, but the floor and the cage would require repair too. Because the Wolf was out.
He heard the noise of concrete breaking. He saw the escape. And as he watched, he found his right hand inadvertently drawn upwards at the situation, and his left hand moving to join it. One hand stopped by the other fist, and started moving clockwise in a circle next to it, like a crank. As he cranked, the middle finger in the fist slowly pushed upwards to point for all the world to see at that situation right. Effing. There.
Bear vs Wolf, round 1. Fight!
Elliott held back a moment and let the bear and the wolf and the wolf figure things out. He had no fur. He felt excluded from this particular moment in time.
The bear went sideways, and Adder took full advantage of the moment. He clamped his ears down against the noise, the creaking and cracking and crumbling barely cushioned by the bear's thick fur, and threw himself into the temporary gap between white and green strangers.
From there, he had sight of the door and booked it. Tyson would be more fine than Adder would be if he stuck around.
Regardless of the actions that the green man took, of Adder bolting, Wolf wasn't content to go back into his cage now that he was halfway out. He pulled and strained until the rest of his body was out. With Adder out of harms way now, his instincts took over. The bear was another predator, and there was no actual gain from engaging it anymore, he wasn't hungry enough to see it as a potential meal, nor was this territory he was willing to defend with so many other creatures in it. Instead, he followed Adder's lead, and bolted for the door, dodging out of range of the green creature, remembering his last encounter. The wolfman was a blur as he took off at top speed, disappearing into the hall. There was a sudden sound of breaking glass, as he leapt through a window, tumbling out of the building before making a beeline for the woods. If someone were to look, they may have seen the creature moments before it disappeared into the trees.
I don't think people understand how stressful it is to explain what's going through your head when you don't even understand it yourself. Wolf
