The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She asked which was evil, the robots or the police. "Both," he replied. He did not elaborate. The whole thing was so obvious, it didn't require any elaboration at all.
Just like a polar bear, she was hungry for fish. "I think we have penguins," Elliott glanced towards the Mansion in the distance. "But then, Tyson may have already eaten all of those. I could run by a burger place and pick up a couple hundred Filet 'o' Fish sandwiches for you, if you wanted." He smiled without showing teeth. "You like Coca Cola?"
"Sorry, I only know those words in Japanese." Elliott told her. "Those are the words an angry Japanese man called me one time. I didn't even do anything to make him scared. I just was. I guess some people just hate skin colors different than their own." Not to make too great a point of it, but it was not easy being green. Or brown. Or yellow. Or having hair that was both white and another color, besides.

She took note to be watchful around both if nether could be trusted maybe staying in the mansion was best for her. Sure she could defend herself but she also knew she could hurt people badly on accident and it was prolbely better just to stay inside so to speak.
His reply stopped her dead. "Penquins? That's an option?" she asked not realizing penguins were available for consumption in America or anywhere. She was curious on the idea and found her stomach seemed to like the idea as well, though she kept picturing the penguin wandering out of a fridge.
"oh, i see. People are often afraid of what they can not understand" she said not really sure how to reply to the comment. She had a feeling the terror was more about his alian appearince then actual skin color but she decided to keep that part to herself.
"A couple hundred fish might be to much" she said considering what he ahd said but her mind was still considering the fatty but tasty looking penguin.
He laughed at her reaction. "No. Just a joke." As if Americans would ever let penguins get on the menu. He wondered what it tasted like. Probably fish.
"Yeah," he agreed. He saw alright. "People can be scared of anything." Silly human worm babies. Terrified of their own shadow if it looked shifty. He tried to be better than that. So should they.
"Maybe we should just see what they have in the kitchen," Elliott nodded towards the mansion. 100 fish was probably too many, too. They'd have to see what was in the kitchens. "Maybe they'll have seal."

She was disappointed by the joke and she assumed her mutation was giving the urge to eat one anyway. Still the thought was nice, the warm blubber and the meat inside.....Mizuki tried to get the image out of her mind. She respected Polar bears for what they were but killing and eating a penguin seemed wrong somehow to her and yet a voice in her head kept commenting how tasty one must be. Not once did she consider that Polar Bears normally don't eat penguins.
"Well people have gotten use to other things" she said trying to be more hopeful then she felt. In time maybe people would learn to accept mutant kind like anyone else. One could hope anyway.
"Seal does sound good to she said having to shake another rather bloody image from her mind. After a few moments she considered his words again. "Is that a joke as well? Do you have whale?" she asked having eaten whale a few time sin her life time. It was rare she got to try it but it tasted great.
"Do you like fish? she asked curiously. She was trying to make conversation but her stomach was ruling her thoughts.
"Probably not whale," Elliott said. "But if they have canned tuna, I can probably find you some dolphin."
He pushed aside the bad dolphin joke, and answered her seriously about fish. "I like sushi. You probably would, too. It's raw fish. A little sea weed. Some rice. I like other fish, too." He was alien, but aliens could enjoy fish. There were a lot of different types of fish dishes to try in New York. He hadn't even touched the surface. "Crawfish etouffee, lots of other good stuff. Lobster." Hey, not all were fish. But all were delicious. He had to pick a lot of pockets for lobster, but it was worth it. "King crab." He felt like the shrimp guy from Forrest Gump, so he stopped.
"I have a friend who has a list of raw foods he wants to try. His mutation makes him crave them. There are lots of foods made to be eaten raw. Do you have a craving like that?" Elliott asked.
It seemed they'd continue talking in the middle of the field instead of going to the kitchen. That was okay. But she'd stay hungry.

"Oh I Like sushi, we use to eat it a lot back home" she said thinking back to just a few months ago. She had eaten lobster before as well as a wide verity of sea food items. She had assumed she would not be able to have whale as she had seen more then one tv depiction on how other nations did not like that whale sometimes ended up on their plates. Mizuki was taught it was about not wasting an animal.
"No, not really but i think my bear form could eat it without getting sick" she said considering the idea and exotic foods she might get to try but her mind the animals were alive when she started to....No, that was wrong, she told herself.
She began to move toward the mansion all the talk of food making her quite hungry. "You coming?" she asked as she turned her head to look back at her new green friend. She did not want to just leave him there still she continued walking, she did kind of hope for tuna now that he ahd mentioned it.
Of course they had sushi in Japan, the country of its origin. He nodded. Sushi was delicious.
She did not have a craving. "That's good," Elliott said. "He sort of has to deal with that a lot. It's nice you have that part easy." Of course, turning into a large bear would be difficult in any situation. The mere logistics. And she was a small girl. Where did all the bear come from, and where did it go? Did it get formed around her like ectoplasm, only to turn to goo and evaporate shortly after, or what?
He followed her. "Yep." He answered. They were going to the kitchen.
The walk to the kitchen wasn't too long. The fridges contents were varied. It seemed they had foods for all sorts. Steaks, pork chops, bacon... various vegetables and vegan options. There was some fish in the fridge, and better fish in the freezer. Fish sticks, as well as frozen tilapia. And in the cupboards, there was tuna and peanut butter and jelly. An odd kind of sandwich, that would make.
"They have tuna," Elliott told her. He was holding a large package wrapped in brown paper in both arms in front of his chest. It was a gigantic yellowtail tuna, straight from the grocer. Fresh, and yummy. It hadn't even been frozen. It was heavy. How were they going to do this? He had some knife skills. He could probably double as a chef, if push came to shove. Or she could bear out and eat it in a few gulps.

Yea that must be quite hard on him' she said happy that she was not in the same boat, she hoped. The walk to the kitchen was easy to remember, it had taken her a few week but she could navigate the place pretty well now. The open fridge had many strange and familiar looking foods, not to mention it was bigger then the one back home, likely ro accommodate so many people.
"Do you cook?" she asked. Her father never had but she knew some guys who could. She also knew America was different and that things might work. "I mean your from mars right?" she said playfully. Who knew what traditions alians had. Somthing suddenly occurred to her. "I heard on the news their were a lot of aliens down south, maybe your familys there" she said not at all grasping the difference in terms.
She liked tuna. "That sounds pretty good" she said honestly. Looking at Elliot and the package of fish. "I have never used the stove here so can you turn it on to 450F, i can prepare it" she asked considering she had the conversion right from Celsius. Mizuki could cook but she was worried about using an American stove. She went the counter and pulled out a sharp knife
It was hard on him. He nodded at her. Tyson had a rough time.
The kitchen had all sorts of things they could use to cook. As far as cooking went for himself, he didn't have much culinary experience. He rarely lived in places with ovens or stoves, and survived largely on fast food, or restaurants. Bad neighborhoods rarely had good restaurants, and cheap apartments were usually in bad neighborhoods, so he made do. When he did have an oven, though, he could scrape by. He knew enough about cooking to handle himself in a kitchen, and he had good knife-handling skills. Those were completely unrelated to the kitchen, but they worked well enough for gutting a fish. He answered her question without delving too much into his history of cooking. "I know enough to cook some simple things," he said. "Like Martian fish, and Martian Moon Cow. Southern Martian moon cow is so good when you put it on the grill, maybe brushed with a little steak rub, seasoning salt. The real Martian delicacy, though, is potatoes and water."
He kept a straight face the entire time he was feeding her lies. Potatoes and water. Moon cow. What a riot. He didn't even feel guilty about teasing her. Such funny questions she had! If she was naive enough to believe him, he wasn't at fault at all!
"My family is out there somewhere," he added. "Probably not down South. Maybe Up North. Up up North." Like, in the sky. "Ever wonder about the Northern Lights?" He asked.
As for the tuna. It was heavy in his arms. He gave it a light toss, then heaved it up onto the counter, and turned to the oven. He set it to the right temperature.
"Lots of ways to prepare fish. Brush it with lemon. Fry it in batter. Bake it in the oven. I could read one of those cook books in the bookends on the counter. Maybe get some ideas while you prepare the fish?" He volunteered. He could be helpful. And he knew enough about cooking to know that ingredients mattered, and seasoning kept foods from being bland. The tuna was a great fish. He recalled somewhere that Japanese sushi chefs preferred fatty tuna for sushi rolls. "Alternatively, we could cook it, then mush it up with mayonnaise and make tuna fish sandwiches." Elliott smiled helpfully at her, complete with his jagged zipper-like teeth.

Aoi did not know a lot about the planets. But she knew enough to know Elliot was messing with her. Mostly do the basic astronomy classes she had taken. She knew their was no liquid water on mars. With a smile she looked over at Elliot. "Which moon do those cows come from?" she asked trying to sound casual about it. She knew mars had to moon but was only partly sure of their names.
Northern lights? she thought she had seen a movie with something like that once. She was sure it was Disney and had to do with a dog but past that she could not recall. "not really. Are...you trying to say their dead?"[/color] she said taking the idea of up in the sky in a spiritual sense.
"tuna fish seems a waste of this, i can prepare it" she said preparing to do so. The thought occurred to her she could have prepared it and as Elliot had mentioned eaten it raw as a Bear but she feared for Elliots safety. She was pretty sure the green man did not want to be on the menu nor did she wnat to eat him.
>>"Which moon do those cows come from?" Aoi asked him.
He smiled like he wasn't completely screwing with her, and said "The best Martian Moon Cows are from Phobos. The panic and fear really add something to the flavor. Much better than Deimos and its terror/dread cows. They just taste plain." He made a face, tongue sticking out grotesquely like 'eugh, ew.'
Moon cows, of course, didn't exist. He got the feeling she'd gotten the feeling he'd been messing with her, and decided to run with it, and he wasn't one to ruin a good running joke. So he ran alongside her and let her try and catch up.
>>"not really. Are...you trying to say their dead?"
Mizuki answered his question about the northern lights with another question. He shrugged one shoulder in reply.
"The parents who adopted me when they found my space pod. They're dead." He didn't really tell people that. But he felt like being open to the polar bear girl. Something about the joking around had made him just an ounce less paranoid today. "But the people that actually made me... I don't know. Maybe the planet I'm from exploded and they loved me so much they sent me off into space on a computer-controlled pod to give me a chance at a better life. Maybe I'm the last of my kind." But that was sad, so let's talk about tuna!
"You prepare your fish however you'd like. I'll help if you need any." Elliott said. The tuna was there on the counter, staring at them. A thought struck him. "You know, I heard of this place that makes a really good Mexican Japanese fusion type dish. It's a fish taco with sashimi grade yellowtail tuna. The taco part has its own salsa and garnish, and it's cooked... but the fish is prepared sashimi style. It's raw. And delish." He had had it once. He wasn't even a bear, and he thought it had tasted good. "I can probably find a good mango salsa recipe to go with it." Just the thought made his mouth water. And maybe a Margarita on the side. Though Mizuki was too young to drink.

"Perhaps Mars delivers then?" she said with a giggle unable to keep a straight face at the idea of getting a pizza years after you ordered. Maybe space preserved food? She had no idea.
Dead parents were sad but before she could respond to it he thankfully changed the subject. She had not really been sure how to respond anyway though she was starting to think he was just a mutant that liked to mess with people. He might be an Alien but more likely she decided he was a mutant.
"That sounds good" she replied considering it. It had never occurred to her that new york would have japanese restaurants. It seemed easier then cooking it themselves as well. "Do they deliver?" she asked curiously, hopefully. She wnated to avoid going out if she could, but maybe with Elliot it would be ok
And then they moved on some more after the momentary broaching of a sad subject!
"Yeah, it does." He agreed. He would, since Elliott had mentioned the fish tacos. "I don't think they deliver, sadly. Delivery sushi would be not so good." Raw fish doesn't transport well. At least, when it's prepared sushi. If they wanted good sushi, it had to be fresh. "But maybe, just maybe, we can try and make it ourselves. Or, I guess, I could just stop us from preparing that raw fish right there, and you could go outside into the mansion's back yard and turn into a bear, then I could throw it to you." He kept a straight face. This was not a joke. This was a legitimate and serious suggestion.
