The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

I have noticed that the X-men are seriously lacking in terms of numbers and leadership. As far as I can tell only Fade, Emerald and Deathstar are active, and all are new. With the mansion now full of mutants willing to join I think that it’s time the X-men did some recruiting. You have about half a dozen mutants at the mansion who could join, and with the Order still strong and the Kabal growing unless the X-men recruit they’ll soon become no threat to either.
It’s my opinion that the X-men need to bulk out their ranks, assign a new commander (or at least temporary commander until Lady J returns in a more active capacity) and become a threat to all us bad guys once more. At the moment I could send half the Kabal against the X-men and still win. That’s no fun, so I hope that someone will try to rectify the situation.
This is not meant as a dig at anyone, or saying that someone has failed and now the X-men are crap, it is just my opinion on the X-men as they currently stand. If you think I am wrong then fair enough, we are all entitled to our opinions, I just wanted to voice mine.
I agree with Hunter. There aren't many active good guys who are technically allowed to fight. and because Kabel and the Order aren't exactly enemies, that means theirs not alot of conflict going on.
No conflict, no fights. And no fights means significantly less fun in my oppinion. ;D
As for a new leader, I have to disagree. Technically, the real leader of the organisation doesn't have to do much. They don't even have to fight. Tricity can just show up for the beginning and end plot, kind of brief and defrief the X-men. Ya know, kinda like what Charles does. (cause lets face it, Dr. X doesn't do much )
There could be sub leaders though, and even set squads of X-men, each with a leader. Kinda like how Cyclops was the leader in the animated series (kinda sorta).
Fade, It's a good idea. Maybe set up a recruiting program and set up squads. Whatever you want to do. But unless you want the good guys to be flatened, I think we're going to need more people.

As you know, Mandain is open for the X-men, but Raven Fire isn't posting a lot and thats acutely my way into the X-men. (Horus will join the order if possible)

I have to agree with Hunter and Sentinel, some serious training needs to be done to bring the Xmen back up to strength. Sentinel's idea sounds like a good plan, sort of 'training groups' with an Xmen leader, and both Fade and Emerald have plenty of experience to do that, and Deathstar would make a good second. I can help out, with Lady J's permission, in training using Neena, but she's limited since she's only an NPC.
Mandain, you can always simply show up at the front gates of the Mansion as well, when you have a free rp slot, and state your intentions, see what happens from there. Hopefully this can be sorted out quickly, so you and the others can help the Xmen get back in order. (No pun intended.

Ted would love to become an X-man... though possibly after a bit more training. Someone who spends five minutes staring at a wall tends not to be all that useful We really need to get some sort of training program to train the young mutants into X-men, or else the baddies are going to have the run of things without so much as a whisper from the goodies.
I agree with your opinion hunter I was thinkin the same thing, no offense taken..lol, me and Fade are already working on that, we will soon hold a training session for all the new x-men in the danger room, I shot the idea to fade and she agreed, as soon as we finish our thread ( which is almost done) we will begin.
I havent got a slot open Horus is now almost in the order, and If Raven could lead me quick to the X-men the problem would be fixed and Mandain could ineracts with more mutants, and become an X-men. I can't wait to see what happens with Horus in the order and Mandain in the X-Men

Is that training session for all mutants in the mansion? Cause that would be fun, a big thread with loads of mutants training together! Also, I was thinking that the X-men could have like teams of three or four mutants that can be sent on missions, and have them specialised so for example, you have three close combat mutants together. Also, this means you could send several teams on one mission, so back in the KP fight you would have had two or three teams outside providing a distraction whilst the third team would be stealth-specialised (so probably lead by fade lol) and would sneak their way in.
I agree, theirs alot of mutants in the house, just waiting to be trained, and could become an xmen. Just because were young, doesnt mean we cant do the xmen stuff.

I can see what you are saying and I totally agree. We have been basing our recruiting strategies on how we have done them in the past, when Raph and I were made into X-Men, we had to speak with Tricity and prove that we were capable of doing it, so only the top people in the site were recruited, that way the X-Men hold their high status. However, at that time, we did not have any bad guys and those did not come into play until Oppressor, Isabel, Kaz, and Syn, I believe they were the earliest that are still active.
So now that alot of people are being made into Order members and Kabal members, the X-Men are still playing it as if those that wish to join need to be top material, and they need to ask, we won't come to you. I can think of a few that should go ahead and become X-Men, but some still need a bit more work or something like that. I will speak to Lady J and also set up a training area in the Danger Room where Fade will watch others and see how well they perform. After which, Lady J will have PMed me back so that we can decide which ones will become X-Men and which ones will become X-Men-in-Training.

We are going to have openings for the X-Men since we've lost a few members recently due to RL. Stupid RL lol... Anyway, if you're interested, as you know, go to the Danger Room
